Are you saying no NW will become president in the next 50 years after Yaradus and Buhari
I didn’t say that. I said it would be difficult because it risks exposing Northern fault lines and isolating the NW. I certainly think. (95%) the next Northern president will not come from the NW.

I think the NW and SW will play a big role in who becomes president for the foreseeable future as they are both out of the Aso rock power Equation post 2031 but have huge votes.

What if the one of the party fails to zone their ticket to south east/south south just liked what happened in PDP last election
There is always a general consensus on where the presidency should go next. It will generally follow that pattern unless the zone whose turn it is self implodes. Politicians have a bad reputation but this is their profession, they understand politics.

In any event, the key word throughout my posts is “entitlement”. You may get what you are not entitled to but not because it is your “entitlement” and if you do you will usually post a nasty price for it. The North for instance have the numbers and may decide to gang up to chase out Tinubu in 2027 but be sure they will pay a heavy price!

We are still paying the price today for the missteps of 1963 and 1966. Whatever you say about politicians, politics is their business. While a few may be driven by power and ambition, the larger majority understand the ramifications of certain decisions.

The ramifications of not adhering to convention is not lost on wise heads irrespective of the moves and rantings of a few hotheads and ambitious politicians.

That is why I said I would be a sad day if Tinubu does his 2 terms and a yoruba man becomes president of Nigeria before an Ibo man.

The word no entitlement is wrong. That word alone is enough for a strong SW candidate to throw his hat in the ring and scamper any would be ambition from other zones.

Now u are talking. U don’t come out blatantly and even blindly and say a whole big section of Nigeria is excluded from running until 2071 even though it may be the case saliently.
I think your problem like a lot of Nigerians is English comprehension.

I repeat:
SW has no entitlement to the presidency till 2071 if Tinubu completes his 2 terms.

We may get it in 2055 if the SE don’t get their act together but it won’t be because we are entitled to or deserve it but due to bad politics by the SE. That it is your turn does not mean you will get it. If a SW man becomes president again before the SE, I will feel bad because it means they haven’t learnt how to play politics.

After Tinubu, the most the SW should aim for is senate presidency and speakership!

Ogbeni yii, micro zoning has been thrown out by the house of reps. If u cannot bring out a strong candidate who would galvanise the people then forget it. presidency is not serve a la carte.
There is no zoning of any kind in the constitution, whether north south or micro zones! You can run but you will not win!

Nobody said it is not your right. The system will determine whose turn it is.

We have unwritten rotational presidency. This is determined by 1) Your power base and influence. 2) the acceptability of the candidate you present to others 3) The way you play your politics. 4) consensus amongst other zones that it is your turn and you have presented a candidate acceptable to them.

Even the “mighty” NW will struggle to present a candidate from the NW in 2031 when NE and NC have not been president!

I agree but there is no hard rule saying that the next slot for a SWesterner is 2071. It is just consensual. Knowing we have had a shot at it twice within 25 years.
If you are a yoruba man forget about presidency in your lifetime after Tinubu. We have no entitlement to it. What you are not entitled to, don’t focus your eye on!

Ojukokoro ni ye!

Like I said presidency particularly for minority geopolitical zones is a once in 48 year phenomenon. When it your turn don’t mess it up by presenting unelectable candidates. Am unelectable candidate is a candidate that other zones will not vote for. This is why Awolowo never became president….it is why Obi will never become president, it is why the SE will likely have to wait till 2055.

There is no micro zoning even a south westerner can run as long as they can convince the delegates.
It doesn’t work that way! Even I from the SW will not vote for any SW candidate, if Tinubu completes his 2 terms. The next southern president after Tinubu has to come from another zone.

We’ve had Osinbajo (VP) , Obasanjo and Tinubu. No zone is entitled to witness more than 2 presidents from his micro zone in his lifetime. Most people will not live long enough to even witness 2. Some have not witnessed 1(NE,NC,SE) , some have not completed 2 terms (SS)

I know some South Westerners would also want to throw their hats in the ring but any reasonable person would tell them to channel that energy towards entrepreneurship and empowerment for their people.

Alex Otti

Soludo not sure what his age would be at that time

David Umahi

Wike - if Alcohol never hook am for neck making him incapacitated.

Akbabio would be in his early 70’s

Donald Duke would be in his 70’s too

Obi just in case he has not retired would be about 75 probably favourite if he is still competing.

Who do you think would grab it. Not forgetting Delta and Edo Candidates.

Oshiemole is a rank outsider would be in his late 70’s that is a bit old but who can tell.

What do you guys think 😀
SW’s next “official” slot is 2071.
Obi will lose and it means SE is out of the picture in 2039 as 2039 is going to SS.
The next opening for SE is 2055.
However, If SE don’t reform the way the play politics, SW may take their slot in 2055 even though it’s not our turn.

Either way, the earliest possibility of a SE presidency is 2055.

As far as the names you mentioned, it’s not about names but who is available and presentable when the slot becomes available. When you had the opportunity you presented an unelectable Obi. By the time the slot is available to the SE again, the names you mention will be retired. If you present another nelextable person or play the same politics you are playing today, you will lose that slot. As it stands SS has jumped ahead of SE for 2039!

Now that I hope you realize that ordinarily the opportunity for presidency from any Southern geopolitical zone comes only about once in your life time, you realize the importance of not wasting that opportunity presenting and rallying behind an unelectable candidate! It’s not just him that loses but the entire zone

Except for once on his life he has developed some brain cells and realized the Coalition people are just trying to shave his head!

He knows he can’t win under LP!

Natasha is putting herself into trouble. Fighting the No.3 citizen through social media and using gender as an excuse was definitely bound to fail. There is difference between sexual advancement and sexual harassment. She failed to know how best to go about her case, and goofed with all the unnecessary media interviews she kept granting. Don't know how she intends going back to NASA ,after her suspension.
There is a difference between fighting someone and lying against someone. People fight the president, talk less the no3 citizen and nothing happens but accusations of attempted murder is not beans!

First of all no one asked for his tickets to London or Rome. It is not in dispute that he was in Rome. What he needed to show if he felt a need to shalaye was proof of his access or invitation to the venue. Personally, that he felt a need to explain himself is rather unbecoming! If you feel a need to explain everything you are not ready to be president!
If he is going to respond to every petty comment, then he shsould respond to real issues on which he chooses to be silent like the N200m found in his aide’s boot. His association with IPOB, his role in Dasukigate, his role in SARS and the bodies dumped in the river etc etc etc.
