I agree with you 💯. A lot of people believe that politics is a game you start planning just when you need to win! Unfortunately, I don't blame people for their shallow understanding. As far back as 2015 when Tinubu was working for 2023, a vast majority of our Gen z were kids in primary school or JSS classes!

Before you even make contribution to political topics at all, you must check the antecedents. That is the only way you would not argue of point. Else, you will just keep sharing whatever you were told and not what you witnessed.

I think HE Peter Obi and his obidients should start working on 2038 after the northern tenure. The 2027 election is as gone as a ship that has left the shore. And he needs to be really smart about it because people like Nyesom Wike and Dave Umahi will most likely be in the race by then. And since we have seen their performances, they are going to pull crowd.

Just my personal opinion!
EVEN Abiola who won the elections in 1992, had started as early as 1979 donating money up and down building bridges making inroads.

How did igbos create the current Nigeria?
the rejected secession clause, they staged the 1st coup, they promulgated unification decree 34 which abolished regional govt in all but name and referendum they shout about today!

"In 1966, the "unification decree," Decree No. 34, effectively abolished the federal system of government in Nigeria and established a unitary system, which removed the need for referendums, according to the Council on Foreign Relations. This decree was promulgated by General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi, Nigeria's first military head of state. The decree aimed to discourage "tribal loyalties and activities".

The people that abolished regionalism are the ones shouting regionalism, the people that aborted parliarmentary system are the ones shouting presidential system is too expensive or it doesnt work.

what all of you are fighting for now is what Awo fought for but you opposed

"On October 1, 1975, there was a ray of hope on the issue when General Ramat Murtala Muhammed (1938-1976) announced in a broadcast that he would hand over power in 1979. And true to his words he set up a 50-man constitution drafting committee under the leadership of Chief Rotimi Frederick Alade Williams.

A member of the committee, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR opted not to serve in the committee insisting that having written and participated in the making of past Nigerian constitutions, there was no more to add."
in other words there was nothing wrong with the parliarmentary system.

he has been jumping from one station saying the same thing. I generally agree with him but i stopped listening to him when he said we should include traditional rulers and gave the example of the British Monarchy.

1: you see our traditional rulers ....well let me not comment!
2: every system that has failed was copied and now he is advocating copying another foreign system
3: When every room you enter smells, the problem is not the rooms but you. No matter the system, so long as we are Nigerians ....same wahala. what we need is a national reorientation!

when we tell people that 2027 is a done deal and the work now is for 2031/2039 they insult me. The job that made Tinubu president in 2023 was done in 2015 but the legwork started long before then. If you are commenting on politics and you think Obi or Atiku can win this election, just know you dont understand politics.

I told you after the election , that If Obi was wise he would keep quiet and stop courting attention. people voted for him because they didnt have enough time to examine him, the more he talks the more people realise he is unelectable! Atiku cannot get 1m votes outside of PDP and PDP is not giving him their ticket.

Just that we are a very stupid voters.
We don't give a block votes, even to our son.

No real politician will even take is seriously
In the last election we were 3rd!

NW,NC,SW, NE, SS &SE

Jonathan won and lost because of the SW, Buhari won because of the SW. the idea that we don’t vote at 1 is an illusion. 2023 was an abnormality due to 1) Obidient disillusioned youth and Muslim Muslim ticket and changing demographics (Ibos distort the figure)

The sW vote is large enough even with immigrant votes that the native votes are enough to swing elections. Exactly what happen with Jonathan. The SW vote is 2x the SE vote and 1.5x the SS vote. Even if it is only half of them you get it is as large or almost as large at the votes in the SS or SE. also if you undberstand voting arithmetic, every cote that could have gone to your opponent that comes to you is actually 2 votes because it subtracts from your opponent (-1) and adds to yours (+1). Net result is 2 vote gap! This is something many dont understand. When APc was busy making inroads into the SW, it wasnt to win those states but go gain some votes. For example for every 100K votes APC got in a traditional PDP state like Akwa ibom even if PDP won the state, the national deficit or lead had increased or reduced by 200K. (not 100K) ...thats how they won the elections...little here, little there! remember Ganduje saying we didnt ask Wike for victory in Rivers, our deal was just a few votes, beecause thats all they need subtract from PDP and add to APC.!

Stop with all these infantile low IQ narratives! No opposition state government is threatened by APC in the SE. The people will not vote for APC come rain come sunshine. They are as secure as can be and are all endorsing Tinubu because they can see what their followers cannot see. The fight is for the VP slot for 2031 and presidency in 2039 and it has now dawned on SEgovs that the SS have jumped ahead of them.

The SW is out of the picture from 2031-2047 as far as presidency and VP is concerned. That leaves the SE and the SS. you dont just come in 2031 and start demanding its your turn..you start the work now...Se governors simply realise the SS has jumped ahead of them. orji Kalu said in a video post recently "how do i negotiate for the SE with other regions, when I have no votes?" Its not just about positioning to get the presidential or VP slots but positioning to get uncontested SW votes from 2031 -2037..like I said SW wont have a candidate for at least 16 years and their vote will be up for grabs! SW is the 3rd largest voting block, larger than the SS and larger than the SE. The people who vote for us in 2023 and 2027 are those we will support for those 16 years!

I have said it many times, I really feel bad for Umahi, a performing minister, loyal and one of the early APC defectors in the SE....ordinarily he should be the VP in waiting for 2031 but you cant negotiate without votes.

I won't be surprised if Obi endorsed Tinubu too. Obi supported Tinubu by contesting 2023 elections, he can support Tinubu again by contesting 2027 election. For obidients living under the illusion that Obi will defeat Tinubu in a free and fair election if the two of them are on the ballot,,, Tinubu will sweep the whole north and also make inroads in the south.
I was reading a post online earlier today where someone commented on the unfortunate story of a former Dep Gov of Ekiti. the story goes that he became deputy governor by accident/good fortune and then started having ambitions of becoming governor himself. He was told to take the senate seat on a platter but he refused insisting on running for Governor. The poster said no one has heard of him since..plus governor o, plus senate o...nothing for him!

There are very few politicians who know when to appreciate that God has smiled on them and not to push their luck. Osinbajo, Ambode, Fubara...the list is endless of those who didn’t!

Obi should know that politically, the most he will ever get in life from here is a ministerial slot or maybe Ambassador to Singapore! He endorses Tinubu, he doesnt endorse Tinubu, Obi cannot win and Tinubu victory is unassailable. His path to victory does not include ibo votes.

he will fall away after 2027, just like this deputy gov of Ekiti! because after 2027 he has no relevance politically, the Southern slot is gone!

I think the former deputy governor in question was a certain Kolapo Olushola. the post didnt mention the name except that he was a professor!

You no fit get sense dey support APC.
Visiting Aso rock is not the same as visiting the president. I wouldn’t expect otherwise from people who think attending a 2 week seminar at Havard makes you a Havard Graduate.

Tinubu learnt Obi and Fayemi were bounced. Fayemi contacted people in the presidency and Tinubu sent word for him and Fayemi to be allowed in as part of the Nigerian delegation.

Papal knight does not give you the access to see the pope without following protocol just as being a governor (or even a minister appointed by a president) does not give you access to the president without following protocol.

For someone who preaches due process, it is amazing how many times his inability to follow due process is exhibited!

You are a papal knight, so you know the protocol. When you left Nigeria you know you weren’t on the list. But you want to use man knows man to evade protocol by using Arinze! Even Arinze who himself could have been Pope couldn’t help him…Vatican is not Nigeria!

Do you know how many Papal knights exist around the world that you think you can just see the Pope because you are a Papal knight? In Nigeria alone there are hundreds if not more than 1thousand! Recently the Pope awarded knighthood to 15 people from Delta state alone! So imagine the number of knights in the country!

There are more Papal knights in Nigeria than state commissioners. Do you think a state commissioner gets to see the president on his inauguration?

The problem Tinubu has in the north is not necessarily against the political leaders but the generality of their masses.

Most of you guys are either tone deaf, disingenuous or outrightly obtuse else you would have seen that Tinubu's ill-thought policies have united both the rank and file and the leadership in the north because of the manifest existential implications of his bad leadership.

Go up to the core north and interview people and stop the tales by moonlight you are supposing to be critical analyses...
You are the one who doesn’t understand Nigerians.

Were they not complaining in the North about hardship in 2018, did they not vote for Buhari in 2019? Did Ibos not complain ane curse Obi when he was governor, are they not the ones who have him 99% vote? I

You guys do not understand Nigerians or politics or grassroots votes. Politicians do. It’s their profession!

Carry on speaking English! You are the 10%, the 90% determine elections, the 90% vote how their community and ward organizers/influencers tell them to vote! It is the politicians who control these community and ward structures that determine how the people vote. You people are online but you are only 10%, the real influencers are in the villages, they influence the 90%.

It is a shame that the majority of so called educated Nigerians who shout democracy everyday have never sat down to analyse what democracy actually means and the implications in the Nigerian context!

No shaking. Bring it on. 2027 will be a fight between politicians and Nigerians.

Nigerians are home and abroad are already making personal pledges and commitments towards the 2027 election. If 100,000 Nigerians home and abroad commit 3 million naira each, that’s N300 billion naira.

Nigerians will match them naira to naira. 2027 election is going to be very personal for many people.
Na so una dey like deceive una selves! The people who determine the outcome of elections in Nigeria are in the villages, on farms, markets, in the hinterland. They dont watch arise TV, they don’t read Nairaland, they don’t have Twitter. They vote based on what their leaders tell them. The leaders understand them. When you see empowerment programs and you see wheel barrows, sewing machines, fertilizer, farm implements, motorcycles, grinders etc etc and you laugh, you are laughing at yourself because what you are seeing are votes! That’s how votes are gotten in Nigeria.

DSTV has less than 2m subscribers in a country of 200m people and almost all of you are in the cities. Where does a villager get the money for dstv subscription? Arise Tv averages only 50k viewers on YouTube.

I will keep preaching that educated Nigerians with any form of tertiary education are a minority class by definition you views don’t matter or determine the outcome of elections. The quicker you get off your high horses the better. The elections will be won by the Almajiris, the farmer in rural ekiti, the herdsmen in sokoto, the wheel barrow pusher in Aba.

All this “APC vs Nigerians” is a nice catchphrase for the educated class but it means nothing because you are not the ones who understand or have influence over the 90% who determine the outcome of elections!

The educated man in Lagos or Abuja does not think the same way the rural dweller in Ekiti, kafanchan, ogwachuku, or bade local
Govt in Yobe state so it’s a bit presumptuous and arrogant to think that you can speak for them. That why the politicians are always ahead of you! Because they are in touch with these people!

And that is why you people always get it wrong! So when that full Okonkwo was using his facial muscles to say on Tv that the politicians are a handful of only a few thousand people, he merely displayed his ignorance. 1 unknown community mobilizer in a rural village with his okada will deliver 100-300 votes. If you’ve ever spent time with a true politician, you will understand how many of these community activists/mobilizers they control. You with all your noise on arise or Twitter or Nairaland cannot influence your own family member and are shouting APC v Nigerians!

What has tinubu done for the north?

Even when tinubu was not yet president and still had the aura of mystery, atiku got most of the northern votes.

Why do you think tinubu would do better now in the polls after already shitting the bed?

Are you living in an alternate universe?
Many of you just open your mouths and spew emotional nonsense. When we talk we talk with facts and logic.

1: no northern politician who intends to be president (and there are many delusional as some may be) is going to sacrifice his presidential ambition for Atiku with the possibility of Obi succeeding him and serving 8 years. For instance, I can guarantee you as much as one human can predict the actions of another that Bala Mohammed will on the down low sabotage Atiku!

2: northern politicians are strategic unlike you emotional dim…wits! They know at this stage it is better to let the south finish their 2 terms because:
a) there will be no contention with the south and southern votes and if they support Tinubu, they can count on the block SW vote.
b) allowing Atiku to serve one term and handover to Obi means they will have to shelve their presidential ambitions for 14 years. Atiku cannot handover to another Northerner!
c)if they wait till 2031, Atiku will be out of the picture, they don’t have to contend with a SW candidate and it’s block votes are up for grabs.
d) 2031 is the turn of the North, if you as a Northerner miss your chance and allow another northerner to take it, it is gone! Same reason the likes of Osinbajo, Bakare, Fayemi contestested against Tinubu….they knew it was now or never. If they did t get it that’s the end because the next SW slot was in 40yrs.

The North understand politics, you don’t!

Finally see results below. Tinubu defeated Atiku in the north by overall votes and by zones. Perhaps you are t good at math, so I have provided the figures below and you can make use of a calculator! I assume you know how to use one? Tinubu won 2 out of 3 zones and the overall Northern vote. Atiku has never won the Northern vote in all his attempts at the presidency….in the words of your master “go and verify”

You post with with emotion not facts and good reasoning. You post to make your narrative fit your destination and ignore the facts aand realities on the ground. Sensible people look at the facts and draw a conclusion from there not the other way round!

The north will vote whom their leaders tell them to vote. I always make the point that all you people speaking English are less than 10% of the population. The 90% who determine who wins elections at national and state level don’t think like you. This is the biggest mistake educated Nigerians make!

Finally, Atiku is not getting the PDP ticket. Which opens the door to another strategic 3 way vote split this time engineered to dent the Atiku/obi ticket. If he does Southern PDP will revolt.

People do t understand the fundamental problem with all these permutations and why OBi, Atiku and PDP really fumbled in 2023 and won’t get another chance.

You are a northern politician, you want to be president. If you wait 4 years the floor will be open and Atiku won’t be in the picture. Why would you support Atiku now only for him to hand over to Obi who will want to run for 8 years? Why wait 14 years to be president when you can support Tinubu and hope he repays the support in 2031 when his SW votes are up for grabs and no SW candidate to vote for?

Atiku and Obi missed the once in a life time opportunity in 2023. It’s called once in a lifetime for a reason!

It is political suicide for any Northern politician who harbors plans to be president to support Atiku, whether you are in APC,PDP,NNPP etc. and that’s a major reason why Atiku will not be president!

tunnyl:
You never imagined you'd be asking yourself this question right?, but here you are. Marriage was supposed to bring stability, love, and lifelong companionship, yet the one thing you never saw coming is the slow withdrawal of intimacy.

At first, you make excuses for her. She is tired, stressed, adjusting. But as time stretches on, you start wondering. Is this what happened to my dad and other married men before they gave up and got side chics? Am I heading down the same path?

You try to fix things the right way. You plan romantic gestures, have deep conversations, and remind her how important intimacy is in marriage. But despite your efforts, nothing changes. Frustration sets in, and you start withdrawing emotionally. The thoughts get darker. Is this how it happens? Do men stray because they feel abandoned? Should I just accept that marriage means suffering in silence?

If you truly want to fight for your marriage without cheating, the solution is not temptation but effort. Cheating leads to guilt, broken trust, and deeper problems. Instead, focus on reconnecting.

Here are some ways to reconnect with your wife and strengthen your marriage:

1. Have open conversations without pressure or blame.

2. Show small daily affection like compliments and thoughtful gestures.

3. Help ease stress by sharing responsibilities and offering support.

4. Spend quality time together through dates, shared hobbies, and bonding moments.

5. Be patient and consistent instead of pressuring for immediate change.

Marriage is more than physical closeness. The key is understanding, connection, and rebuilding the trust that keeps love strong.

Because it’s none of your business. That’s part of the problem, trying to tell another man how to manage his household. It’s like a stranger telling me how to treat my cousin or relative, do you know my family history? How is it your business? Imagine the audacity!

Yoruba are one family, we all descendants of Oduduwa. Ibos don’t know where they come from. One thing for certain. Ibos are not Yorubas and can’t tell Yorubas how we manage our affairs. We don’t tell you how to manage your affairs or question why You rejected Bianca because she is not from Anambra!

This is exactly why we don’t want you in charge of our affairs, you don’t understand our history or respect our traditions and you want to divide our people like you divide yours!

You. Don’t respect your hosts or their traditions and culture. You always try to impose your ways on others, you are naturally divisive. No thank you!

And by the way people not familiar with history confuse “colonial Lagos” with Lagos state! The local government in question for instance was never historically part of Lagos, Ajah, ikorodu, Epe Isolo, Ikeja, and many of places that Lagos state are not historically Lagos.

Places like Lekki, Ajah, Ikorodu and Epe are ijebu people. Abule Egba is so called because it is a historical settlement of Egba people. Abule ijesha is a settlement of people from ilesha. The people of Ketu are yoruba migrants from Ife. Even the awori from Lagos island are from Ife and Old Oyo empire. So when an ignorant buffoooon comes here to say why is a man from Ondo or Ekiti allowed, that ignorance is why we don’t want them in charge of our business!
