Stop being fatuous joor. Did you even click the link to see that that is Samsung Galaxy S4 dual sim variant? So gsmarena will post fake specs for Samsung? And Samsung will not respond?
GsM Arena is a privately owned site. Not some 'phone government'. I don't think Samsung is in contact with them. |
yes, if recognized..
Seconded. |
This is clearly porverty speaking. First of all, the only ting similar about the A2 and the S4 is the fact that the run on the same OS and it ends at that. This is what to expect when some poor kid who buys phones only to play games speaks. Spitting out sentiments about price and not one single tech stat to prove your point. The S4 is superior to the A2 in every department. It'S an insult to even put them in the same sentence. |
I see you still speak from a BB user point of view. That feature of showing every tom, dick and harry what song or video you're playing is only available on blackberry phones. Again, why did you direct these rules to android users alone? What about iOS? Are you by any way trying to imply that android users are th uncivilized ones? I see no need for all these as anyone with comon sense should already know them P.S: the times when BBM was seen as a status symbol have long passed and been forgotten. Whether you want to agree or not, BBM is just like every other chat app out there. There are many more even better. Its just more popular. Deal with it. |
Jimijaque16: can anyone help us in this delibration? I mean how could bb leave hardware for android/iphones? Isnt it better that they continue with both hard/soft wares markets? Its all a scheme to regain the brand popularity they once had so they could use it to revive their hardware department. Plz I understand the bb fan still crave for it and they say bbm on android/iOS is not unique. The chart in th OP says it all. Android is about 54 times more popular than Blackberry and iOS is about 5 times more popular globally. |
anthony500: First you say double sim phones are made for 3rd world markets then you go ahead to mention the chinese marketIncase you do not know the meaning of 'Third world country', it simply means developing nation. China is a third world country. I stand to be corrected. The only reason they are made priority over other third world markets is simply due to their population size. One would surly sell more units in a larger population. Secondly I have read reviews and watched unboxing from credible sites like gsmarena and engadget, of double sim variants of the htc one and a number of Samsung/Nokia/Lg phones released into the chinese market and no occasion was that variant a lesser build to its one sim counterpart. Differences if present are usually the well practiced region to region variations in Lte availability and processor make.Every tech site reviews mid range and low end phones provided the brand is globally well recognized. Some tecno phones are better than some of the phones reviewed on GSM arena but those better tecno phones will never get reviews on these popular tech sites. Why? The tecno brand is not recognized. Having said that, tech sites will hardly metion that these phones are made of cheaper build. Why? Because its already obvious. All dual SIM phones are normally low end to mid range. Theres no dual sim phone with high end specs. Which means it has a cheaper build. Even when there is a dual sim variant of a High end flagship, its specs are lower which implies reduced cost. This is because of the market it is being targeted at. Finally i believe that the reason why dual sim variants are released in Asia and Africa as opposed to the western world is explained by "contracts".Did you miss the part of my comment that said Dual SIM phones are targeted at lower markets because of the lack of stable service and lack adequate support from network providers?? |
Single sim any day anytime though. |
First of, dual sim phones are targeted at third world markets that do not get stable service and adequate support from network providers. So, dual sim phones are very useful in this part of the world. But then again expect cheaper build (which is almost negligible in the phone's performance and functionality) for obvious reasons. I don't think you'll ever see top android OEMs making dual SIM versions of their flagship phones except they're targeting the chineese market. |
hmmmm.... iphone shouldnt be tht low.. bb shouldnt be tht much.. they should be off d list..
Why shouldn't iphone be that low? Apple makes just one phone in a year (two this year) and they go up against several other android OEMs that produce countless devices in a year. I feel the margin should be wider sef. |
Jimijaque16: That seems interesting to the Adroid phones users; but don't you think Blackberry will negate the efficiency of BBM on adroid?I highly doubt. Blackberry would have moved in that direction with the just released BBM apps for iOS and android already if they are going to be doing that with subsequent releases. I mean, the android and iOS BBM apps are on par with the BBM app on their flagship. With BBM releasedon iOS and android, I feel Blackberry is finally giving up on the hardware market and focusing on software. On another note, Even as a die hard android fan, I hate monpoly and lack of choices. With the increasing growth rate of android, I think we're heading for a total dominance by google. |
The new estimations of smartphone shipments are out and once again they prove to be good news for Samsung and Android, but they also look like trouble for BlackBerry. BlackBerry has been having trouble finding customers recently, and even though it is on the path to privatization, it is still looking into selling the company, or part of it, in order to stop the bleeding. According to ABI Research, 438 million handsets and 244 million smartphones shipped during the 3rd quarter of 2013. Samsung's share of the smartphone market grew to 35%, while Apple saw its share stay level at 14%. On the platform numbers, BlackBerry is down to its lowest point at just 1.5% of worldwide shipments. https://i-cdn.phonearena.com/images/articles/99437-image/handsetchart.png According to ABI Research, 438 million handsets and 244 million smartphones shipped during the 3rd quarter of 2013. Samsung's share of the smartphone market grew to 35%, while Apple saw its share stay level at 14%. On the platform numbers, BlackBerry is down to its lowest point at just 1.5% of worldwide shipments. Windows Phone was the big mover once again, showing solid growth up 165% year-on-year, to finish at 4% of global shipments and the number three platform. Of course, Nokia essentially is the market for Microsoft, making up 95% of Windows Phone shipments. Android is still the top of the pile with its share of shipments growing to 80.6% of the market. ABI is also saying that based on the Q4 revenue guidance provided by Apple, the company is expecting to ship 53 million iPhones during the holiday quarter. And, if that turns out to be correct, Apple is looking at a big drop in Q4 shipment market share. It could drop all the way to 18.7% market share which is down from 22.6% in Q4 2012. illuminatic: till then but its not possible. U guys should buy a blackberry or forget pingingDo you got shiit in your brain? Get a crapberry or forget pinging? Because crapberry users are the majority and would make up a larger number of your friends?? If there's any one who should forget pinging its you carpberry users. FYI, BBM berfore cross platform : 20 million active users BBM after cross platform : 80 million active users. Like it or not, you are the fooking inferior bunch. If Blackberry limited has an update for their app, they would priortize satisfying iOS and android over you, the technologically backward dumb faithfuls. Blackberry limited needs you to buy their newer smartphones to help them stay alive. And believe me, they [Blackberry limited] themselves will not support your broke assses clinging to their outdated crapberry phones, creating retarde.d therads & starting illitrate-like eWars, making excuses why you would cling to crapberry. Believe me, blackberry would side iOS and android if they were on this thread. Dude, fooking move on. Gone are the days when a blackberry phone was seen as a Status symbol. Its 2013 and not fooking 2008. |
Buthurt much? Why should I downgrade to an inferior phone with an inferior OS because I want to use an overrated not so special IM which does what many other IMs do? Kids, a CRApberry is not even better than an android. Blackberry wants to make money from cross-platform as whatsapp have been doing and do not care about your opinion. BBM is just another IM among several others, not even the best out there just more popular (and overrated to say the least). The time of being seen as classy because you own a crapberry is long gone. I wonder why you act so insecure. You scared that other people on other platforms woun't see you as classy because they can chat on an IM that was once seen 'status symbol' hence, making you less classy or what? Kids, BBM which you once saw as the 'classy IM' is on a better OS platform, get over it. P.S: the term 'ping' is not exclusive to BBM alone. Every IM pings. |
They just don't understand...I'll buy another BB if the present gets spoilt or missing...you have no idea the effect of synchronizing the bbfone with the bb playbook...extremely fast internet, downloads, direct you-tube watching, same bis plan applying to both..etc...mehn nothing am looking for on that android data plan...you see them everywhere...ijebu on their mbs .....rubbish...#BB rocks
Eyaaaa.....just say you are poor and cannot afford a proper smartphone Data plan. |
einsteino: Dude you obviously dont know what the U.S law calls assembled is pratically the same thing as produced. There is no phone that is wholly produced in a country, you must have one part or the other that was imported. I stand to be corrected that the iphone 5 was produced in chinaI do not want to derail this thread so I'ma just ask to folow this link and read for your self. http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2013-08-20/news/41429206_1_trade-surplus-iphones-foreign-trade |
physise: blocked tweakIts not a tweak first of all, it's very legal and it still works. Did it some two days ago. The only problem is that it is caped at 150MB and when network is bad, you may end up not being able to use up to 5MB. |
einsteino: i personally dont like techno but calling it china is not a good reason to dislike it. even the almighty iphone 5 was produced in china! i recently started a little importation biz and i realised china can produce any standard you want. if you want very good quality stuff, it all depends on how much u have! chinese are far more honest and sincere than nigerian business men, they tell u exactly how it is. moreso techno is currently sweeping the mkt, all that remains is for them to produce a luxurious phone for the upper class.Assembled, not produced. |
Magic Bishop: Thanks to Obama America now owes approximately $30,000 per citizenLike there was not a very certain and unavoidable propensity that, that would happen with or without Obama in power? Believe me the republicans would have done worse if they were in power. History has show that the republicans do not handle deps better. |
From your main post and other replies, it's obvious the HTC One is a better suited device for you. Even as a diehard samsung customer/fan, I recommend the HTC One for you. Reason being: 1. It's a better looking device. 2. SENSE 5 is less complicated than TouchWiz nature UX 2.0 . But again, considering your budget. The HTC may just be expensive. |
Magic Bishop: You can blame Obama's arrogance for this current impasse. Is it not obvious that the motives of the repulicans are polical rather than what is best for the nation? |
China has been saying stuff like this for a long time, so in a sense this isn't a big deal. But as the mess in Washington drags on, more and more countries are going to be taking this idea more seriously. I'm generally bullish on America's future relative to other areas of the world, but that could change if dysfunctional governance forces the rest of the world to essentially gang up against America for their own safety. Thanks, Republicans! |
0monnakoda: Who are you and where is your owner? Why have they unleashed you"I don't need several Ids to smack little boys like you in the mouth if I choose" WTF!!! What are you, 12 or something? Making such childish statements. Kid alert!!!!! |
0monnakoda: I guess you need to practise those words. The effort is all too obvious and contrived.Keep it simple at all times. Artifice is a poor substitute for substance but then what else can airheads produce but brainless bluster. You are empty, raucous and unruly^^Typical traits of a real loser losing an argument. I hear the rule of them losers is- "If you are losing an argument, attack their grammer". Mostly used by kids. Grow up boy! |
Ola one: See you. You included this rider because you know the facts are out there.@ the bolded. That's my problem with all these anti-america hipsters. That you do not support/like the America way/model of handling/controlling world economical/political world issues doesn't automatically make the Chineese better. That is just your personal opinion. Even when you present them with hardcore facts and figures, they begin to fault/discredit your source. I see and hear them make dumb statements like "...this information was manipulated by the western media" and dummer ones like "Watch CCTV istead of CNN". It's just like A Real Madrid fan telling a Barcelona fan "R.madrid is better than Barca because I support R.madrid" which is a very shallow basis. To them, the western media propagates lies, conspiracy and propaganda. While the eastern media is all about honesty. Dumb hipsters. |
Victosin09: Pessimism is one word invented by 'scholars' to blind the eyes of faith. Being pessimistic is not my thing....I work by faith, not my sight.A thousand likes for this my dear. There's everything wrong with being pessimistic. |
Stanley08: I'm guessing it's the most ideal way. old phone to pc (backup), then pc to new phone. Simple!SD card does all that for me though. |
Stanley08: There is pink alright! Haven't heard of Blue tho.My bad, no blue. |
ikekings: Gbam!!! White is meant for gals... Too shiny!!!there's aso a pink and a blue one. |
Kx: What other signs do ppl need to fashy local flights completely?yeah, because kano to saudi is a local flight. SMH |
