ErnieSmallzz:Lol, that would have been one fun school to be in. |
BONUS: Final one THE PEACEMAKER This is usually someone of authority, like the police, military, clergy, trailer park chairman, or even the owner of the place where the fight is taking place, they usually are the last to arrive and when they do, the party is over. Enjoy!
|
10. THE BACKUP This is the one that walks in on his mate having a bout with a stranger. Instead of separating the fight, joins in to help their mate especially if they are getting beaten.
|
9. THE SPECTATOR These ones have just had a boring week and would do anything to stop anyone trying to separate the fight.
|
8. THE INSTIGATOR These ones have been on your haters list for a long time (Common with females), they are jealous and praying to see you fall, the minute they find you in a fight they start cheering your opponent!
|
7. THE DODGER That one person that lives in the neighbourhood where fights are common. Walks in on yet another fight and turns the other way.
|
6. THE SUPERHERO A.k.a Spiderman/girl, these types like to show their Macho strength, everywhere they go they just have this gut feeling like it's up to them to save the day. They would actually see the fight and immediately make up their mind on who is being naughty or nice and try to save whoever they feel like. On most occasions, If a guy is the observer and it's women involved in a catfight, they save the prettier one, even if she is the only aggressor with an actual weapon.
|
5. THE FREE-FOR-ALL That guy that has just lost a fortune on Nairabet and has been having a bad day ever since, then immediately spots a fight, doesn't even ask questions to know who was wrong but joins in to beat whoever he feels like or both. Not until he finds out one of the participants might be someone he knows.
|
4. THE SYMPATHISER These types can weep more than the 'Daughters of Jerusalem'. They could actually stop the fight but they would rather stay by the side and wail.
|
3. THE NAIRALANDER These types would quickly take photos with Nokia 3310 running on android OS and quickly rush to post it on Nairaland with titles like 'Two Popular Romancelanders fight over a girl in real life (photo)', 'Boy beaten mercilessly by Okada men for stealing Tomato in local market(video)', 'See what Buhari has caused: Fight at Filling Station Today (Graphic photos)'. As if that is not enough, they scream on Lalasticlala like they just found a snake.
|
2. THE SELFIE ADDICT These are the keyboard warriors who would take up their phones and take a selfie with the fighters in the background before anything else. All in a bid to feed their social media followers and friends. You find tags like, 'Walmart employees at it again', 'Taking a walk with boo when I saw these girls at each others necks', 'WORLD-STAR!'

Here are the 10 Kinds Of People You Would Find At A Fight Scene 1. THE AMEBO These ones would be the first to see the fight and instead of trying to stop it, would run around to inform anyone in the vicinity about the fight hoping to rake up an audience. UPDATE: I didn't realise I had made FP yet, and on my first Nairaland Thread for that matter. So I dedicate this thread to all my wonderful Nairalanders! PS: Nairaland MODS! The word there on the topic was 'Fight' scene, why did you change it to 'Fighting' scene?

Ever tried to observe how people react when they bump into two people having a go at each other? I have seen a couple of online fight videos lately(that explains how I know) and its just funny how the other people, not initially involved in the fight, react in totally different ways. So I have compiled a list of what I think are 10 different people and what they would usually do when they see a fight. Feel free to add yours, and if you can relate to any of these or know anyone who can, tag them here too and have fun. I'm not sure this is the appropriate section but Mods can help. |
Its one of two things. She put it up to let him know she hasn't gotten over him or she put it up to say 'I hope you rot in hell'. |
Hell to the Naw...too the naw naw naw. |
PRACTICE (NOUN) - referring to 'a thing that would usually require an action'. Example: Patient1: What are you doing Dr? I'm bleeding. Doctor: Oh don't worry, we usually have to bleed the wound to expel the poison. It's just standard Practice? PRACTISE (VERB) - referring to 'an action' Example Patient2: Dr, I hope you aren't new here, I don't like the way you are staring at my body. Quack Doctor: Of course I am new, but I have to practise my skills on someone to become an expert someday init? Same goes for ADVICE (NOUN) vs ADVISE (VERB) Example: Patient3: Dr? I think I get angry to often, what do I do? Surgeon: If you need some advice, I advise you see a Psychologist not a Surgeon. The above holds true for British English, 'C' always refers to the noun(Call to action), while 'S' always refers to verb(action). owever American English doesn't distinguish between Nouns and Verbs for some of the 'C' and 'S' conflicts. |
Are houses that cheap in Nigeria's capital? ₦30Million is like only £65,000 for a detached duplex with proper landscaping and pool, even looks like a posh neighbourhood? I doubt that. |
Donpuzo:Blessed art thou for the bolded for it is by spirit not by the world, that you have come to this wisdom. We are encouraged to not be of the world but of the spirit, they do not understand sacrifice is not entirely physical but spiritually motivated. The beauty of the Beatitudes is being attacked by the heretic doctrine of our separated brethren. We can only pray for them to come to the truth. Mathew 25:34-40. 34“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37“Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me. |
jiggaz:[Bold One] This is one of the erroneous tenents of SOLA FIDE (FAITH ALONE) and SOLA GRATIA (GRACE ALONE) started by Martin Luther (Founder of Protestantism) as against St James that tells us: You see that a man is justified by his works and not Faith Alone (James 2;24). What this means is that Faith(from Grace)+Works are integral not separate stand alone entities, which therefore means you can not isolate Faith(Product of Grace) from Works. SOLA FIDE and SOLA GRATIA attempts to damage this unity, it is even contradictory to say Salvation is by Faith Alone, and then say Salvation is by Grace Alone, If they are truly alone why have two different SOLAs to make this assertion?. So please don't come here to impose erroneous teachings on us. Catholics and Traditional Churches wont stand by this teaching. Go study the history of the SOLAs to better understand my point (you can find a link I quickly googled and attached at the bottom of this post). If you think you can live however you like and make heaven you aren't even close, the bible says be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect (Matt 5:48). Remember the Beatitudes (Matt 5:1-12), this teaching of yours completely ignores what it stands for . [Bold Two] St James tell us that Faith without works is dead (James 2:17). So why do you preach this heresy started by Martin Luther? What about the Rich Man Christ asked to sell off his wealth to the poor which he would still receive in the kingdom of heaven? Shouldn't his believe(which you call faith) alone in Jesus have saved him? (James 2:19 says even the devils believe and tremble). Instead, the rich man refused and didnt want to live a sacrificial life which in this case was the works necessary to obtain salvation, it wasn't even really sacrificial because Christ promised he would have riches in heaven(therefore it was a physical sacrifice but spiritual gain). his faith was therefore not complete because he wasn't willing to put in the necessary work. The Bible says work out your salvation in Fear and Trembling (Philippians 2:12) While Faith is important for salvation and not possible without the Grace of God, Works (how we live) is also very important, Faith is empty if it isn't backed up with good works. Remember we are usually referred to in Christ's parables as workers in the Lord's vineyard, not guests who sit and watch the master work the entire vineyard alone. [Bold 3] So we shouldn't fast? We shouldn't give alms? We shouldn't pray not to fall into sin? And when we do sin, we shouldn't bother to make amends? We also shouldn't correct those we see doing wrong? What about the people of Nineveh that dressed in sackcloths and ashes (Jonah 3:5-10) , were they doing it in vain?---- All of these should be ignored cos our salvation is already guaranteed? Why do we remain alive after receiving Christ? What then is our purpose? If you are one of those who go around commiting sin and saying to yourself that Jesus has died for my sins both past and future therefore you wont be held accountable for your future ill doings, please repent now, the devil is still at large tempting people to fall into sin, there must be a reason for it, therefore pray, fast, do penance and good works, it helps your soul spiritually it cant be explained in physical terms (an example is the Rich man described in Bold 2 above). There are many articles online that explain the history of the separation of the church by Martin Luther. Sola Fide is one of them. If you have time you can read this article about the Sola fide, http://www.acatholicthinker.net/sola-fide/ this can at least give you some short history about Martin Luther and his Solas. |
jamela:Lmao, so you are here? I'm still learning . thanks tho. |
Lol...waiting to see a counter thread. |
Nice thread, reminds me of an aged couple I met last week. |
Lol.. Taking notes. But I think if a guy plays his part well, these wouldn't be necessary. I understand some ladies might be overzealous but perhaps you met the wrong ones. |
bigfrancis21:I commend the effort you went through in passing this important information. I also try to educate friends who are indecisive about making the big move (like in this particular topic) and it sometimes takes me a great deal of time to actually explain these same points you stated to help them make their own decisions. Furthermore, I see some people think these things you mentioned are only peculiar to the US, but I live in the Uk and can relate to many points you raised especially when it comes to taxation, bills, car insurance etc. Every Nigerian in diaspora would agree with me, positively or negatively, that Nigeria is a quite unique country, as they practice an unconventional system you would barely find elsewhere. Now while some Nigerians aspire to travel abroad because they desire a comfortable life not easily obtainable in Nigeria, such as: 24 hours power, water, good roads and prompt emergency police/medical/fire service, they sometimes ignore the fact that these things come at a cost (not exactly financially implied), a cost often neither at par nor less than that obtainable in Nigeria. In other words, they expect to acquire all of these under the same unplanned and unaccountable conditions they are used to in Nigeria (i.e Low rates, back doors or none at all). But the truth is, these countries are not heaven, they are professionally planned and armed to the teeth with enforcement to ensure everyone is following the script, everyone must earn his/her keep and there is little or no room for complacency due to the weight of responsibilities that place a hold on your finances to keep up with the aforementioned comforts they offer: 90% of which are actually considered compulsory necessities here (Can't live without), than one in Nigeria would consider a selective luxury. |

I wonder too, more like female weightlifters association (FWA) |
Now this looks more like Michael Jackson. Luveu2 |
In simple terms, the government is looking for ways to reduce the empowerment of the dollar by Nigerian importers. Before the new FX policy was implemented this year, Nigerians would usually purchase dollars for their fx transactions, this therefore required Nigerian banks to fund these transactions by paying the foreign merchants in dollars. This in turn maximised the demand for dollars and empowered the dollar to continue rising. The way Nigerians are affected by a rising dollar is when the value of the Naira depreciates in comparison to the dollar and every other currency tied to the dollar would also tend to appreciate against the naira because even though the dollar is gaining weight over every other dependent currency, there is still some demand for the individual local currencies of those other countries unlike the naira. Now what the government did by the cbn fx policy earlier this year, is stop fuelling the demand for the dollar, so it stops rising at the rate it was previously doing, but the previously dollar dependent Nigerians became practically unable to buy anything denominated in dollars at cbn exchange rate due to the dollar fx policy from cbn, and this hampered importation. So rather than let the country stagnate for lack of importation, they have decided to introduce the yuan to open up importation while still avoiding dollar denominated transactions. They are now strengthening the Yuan, but because there are less country currencies tied directly to the yuan as they are to the dollar, the dollar would not grow considerably high anymore in relation to the naira, and that way, other countries tied to the dollar would not grow considerably high anymore in relation to the naira. This wouldn't directly improve Naira's exchange rate against the dollar, but it would limit the dollar from growing considerably higher against the naira and perhaps just hope on other factors to bring the dollar down, wait till oil prices go back up or until we can create an avenue for other forms of exportation to bring the naira up in comparison to the dollar just like other countries trading with the dollar are currently doing. |

mrsmith11:True, but there's something called Racial Profiling which might be a form of racism but different from your conventional idea of racial hate, because you don't have to be a racist to engage in racial profiling or stereotyping. She expected to see a black male putting up a scene in the airport. This was pretty simple. Follow the rules and tell the passenger both liquids can't make it past the check-point because even a sealed drink bottle could be just as dangerous. Her English didn't seem too good, so I initially took her ignorance of my drawing her attention to the second bottle as a language issue. Her disappointment when I eventually handed it over to her myself confirmed the fact she wasn't really out there to keep the rules but incite a black man into displaying characteristic traits she's used to for her amusement. |
barbiesparkz2:Yeah I know that, but what about the other one she was trying to ignore in the bag? I'm not against her carrying out the law, but why ignore the sealed one in the bag? They were both in the bag and I forgot to discard them earlier, so I drew her attention to the other one so she could discard both according to the law, but she was on about just the half consumed one like she was expecting to see something dramatic happen. She was disappointed when I handed the other one to her. As for the transparent plastic bag, I was referring to your comment about liquids (Thought you meant all liquids were not allowed) and just wanted to clarify that. I see you already have. |

. thanks tho.
