Cayon ! Cayon!!
Yes, Miss B  huh

As I type this, i am smiling. Your name has fond memory to it.  Earlier in my career, i was the manager for House Keeping at  Marriot Hotel.  There was this very very nice, christian minded lady name Bernadette but folks call her Miss B.  she was in her late 50Ts and was a mother figure to me.  She was sooo nice that I gave her permission to eat dinner anytime at the hotel (except on a bz night)

Unfortunately she passed several years ago.  I know Heaven got sweeter because she was such a sweet person

Your man never whisper in your ears?  If not, you try and whisper in his ears.  When he comes home tonight: - stand in front of him and start kissing his neck while pressing him towards you and then you blow gently in his ear, moan and whisper how you feel about him.  Say " I want you in me.  I can't wait to taste you. I want to rock your world tonight."  Anything you whisper in his ears will bring him down.

let me stop see before Miss B call my name again  grin grin

@poster

Go on your vacation and clear your head. you have your whole life ahead of you (assuming you are young)  Take a break from boyfriends to figure things out.

I am single for over eight months, by choice.  Everyday i give God thanks and praise for taking me this far in life without depending on anyone.  I am able to support myself in a job I enjoy.  My kid is fine and I am happy.  Yes, i'll like to have another kid and surely not as a single parent.  However, at this point of my life - I am not in any rush to get laid or jump in any relationship.  I am still young and have my life ahead of me.  Sometimes you just need some time for yourself.  Take a breather   wink

Here is an internet hug (((((((Laurnetta ))))))

Speaking another language in front of someone who doesn't understand it is just as rude as whispering into someone's ear in front of them. Having someone in the room and intentionally leaving them out of a conversation is bad manners. Period. My brother and his wife does that all the time even though they speak fluent english. And its even worst when one or two friends drop by.

I am sure you will like it. One in the city or outside? I think you said you are going in a tour. I am going to assume that its outside the city! Taqwa on Fulton and Bedford streets, a block away toward downtown off Nostrand and Atlantic Avenues is a good community to visit. You can also go to Kalifah still on Bedford, just 3 block after Taqwa. And you, too.
My mother begged me not to go, so I am backing out

A Good Woman

A good woman is proud of herself. She respects herself and others. She is aware of who she is. She neither seeks definition from the person she is with, or does she expect them to read her mind. She is quite capable of articulating her needs.

A good woman is hopeful. She is strong enough to make all her dreams come true, She knows love, therefore she gives love. She recognizes that her love has great value and must be reciprocated. If her love is taken for granted, it soon disappears.

A good woman has a dash of inspiration, a dabble of endurance. She knows that she will, at times, have to inspire others to reach the potential God gave them. A good woman knows her past, understands her present and moves toward the future.

A good woman knows God. She knows that with God the world is her playground, but without God she will just be played. A good woman does not live in fear of the future because of her past. Instead, she understands that her life experiences are merely lessons, meant to bring her closer to self knowledge and unconditional self love. Girl Smile, YOU KNOW YOU HAVE IT GOING ON! , So Keep ON Keeping On.

HOW TO MAKE LOVE

Ingredients:
4 Laughing eyes
4 Well-shaped legs
4 Loving arms
2 Firm milk containers
2 Nuts
1 Fur-lined mixing bowl
1 Firm banana

Directions:
1. Look into laughing eyes.
2. Spread well-shaped legs with loving arms.
3. Squeeze and massage milk containers very gently.
4 Gently add firm banana to fur-lined mixing bowl, working in and out until well creamed. For best results. Continue to knead milk containers.
5. As heat rises, plunge banana deep into mixing bowl and cover with nuts, leave to soak (preferably NOT overnight though).
6. Love is complete when banana is soft.
If banana does not soften, repeat steps 3-5 or change mixing bowls.

Notes:
1. If you are in an unfamiliar kitchen, wash utensils carefully before and after use.
2. Do not lick mixing bowl after use.
3. If cake rises, leave town.

The whole "Willie Lynch Speech" for one is HIGHLY disputed to have even taken place. But, this was and still is used as a tool to keep the Black American community divided in ways we still can witness today. The whole "Light Skin Vs. Dark Skin" thing in America is a big deal, especially in the Southern States, and it's a sad thing to say, but it does go on.

I myself, do not take in any of these words, and know this is a direct example of how "The White Man" tries to have a grip on Black people, but the only way they can do that if Black people let them, which many worldwide are sadly letting happen.
TITUS!!! wink

@ nego-nts

I can give you an honest answer but the members of this forum are either very sensitive or full of hate.  In their eyes I (mixed) am not considered black and what I'll say may offend them.

In light of the above - I beg to rest my case

But if you endorse/give me your blessings, I'll say whats on my mind

A Rattlesnake, if Cornered will become so angry it will bite itself.  That is exactly what the harboring of hate and resentment against others is - a biting of oneself.  We think we are harming others in holding these spites and hates, but the deeper harm is to ourselves.

@ tpia and negro-nts:

I am going to be honest here based on what I have experienced.  I have many african american (slaves ancestors) friends who suffer from the mental effects that described in the Willie lynch speech. which keeps them from progressing in life(especially males), Yes, africans who come directly from africa or raised by african parents don't suffer from the same mental ailments. I think like me African people who live overseas left their nation for better social and economic opportunities, therefore are probably more open and progressive.  I find the African American  (slaves ancestors)suffer mental abuse that they have suffered and that has been instilled in them through generations, that is still visably present in today's society.

what I find common in both african american and africans  (men) - they have this "man rule" mentality.

Deliverance

It is pouring rain in the flood plain of the Mississippi Valley, and the rising river begins to threaten all manner of private homes, including that of the local Rabbi.

With water coming into the ground floor, a rowboat with police comes by, and the officer shouts, "Rabbi, let us evacuate you! The water level is getting dangerous."

The Rabbi replies, "No thank you, I am a righteous man, who trusts in the Almighty, and I am confident he will deliver me." Three hours go by, and the rains intensify, at which point the Rabbi has been forced up to the second floor of his house.A second police rowboat comes by, and the officer shouts, "Rabbi, let us evacuate you! The water level is getting dangerous."

The Rabbi replies, "No thank you, I am a righteous man, who trusts in the Almighty, and I am confident he will deliver me."

The rain does not stop, and the Rabbi is forced up onto the roof of his house. A helicopter flies over, and the officer shouts down, "Rabbi, grab the rope and we'll pull you up! You're in terrible danger!"

The Rabbi replies, "No thank you, I am a righteous man, who trusts in the Almighty, and I am confident he will deliver me."
The deluge continues, and the Rabbi is swept off the roof, carried away in the current and drowns. He goes up to heaven, and at the Pearly Gates he is admitted, and comes before the Divine Presence.

The Rabbi asks, "Dear Lord, I don't understand. I've been a righteous observant person my whole life, and depended on you to save me in my hour of need. Where were you?"

And the Lord answered, "I sent two boats and a helicopter, what more do you want?"

@negro nts:
I was reading your email in another thread (different topic) and after reading it I ask myself this question

Was Willie Lynch right about his theory why blacks always fighting against each other?

By the way, in college, this was one of the best topics I've discussed. It wasn't part of our phylosophy topics but it came up.

Extract from Willie Lynch speech

"I shall give you an outline of action-but before that I shall assure you that distrust is stronger than trust and envy is stronger than adulation, respect, or admiration.

The Black slave after receiving this indoctrination shall carry on and will become self re-fueling and self generating for hundreds of years, maybe thousands. Don't forget you must pitch the old Black male vs. the young Black male, and the young Black male against the old Black male. You must use the dark skin slaves vs. the light skin slaves and the light skin slaves vs. the dark skin slaves. You must use the female vs. the male, and the male vs. the female. You must also have your white servants and overseers distrust all Blacks, but it is necessary that your slaves trust and depend on us. They must love, respect and trust only us.

Gentlemen, these kits are your keys to control. Use them. Have your wives and children use them, never miss an opportunity. If used intensely for one year, the slaves themselves will remain perpetually distrustful. Thank you, gentlemen."

I wont be adopting kids. I like helping to finance things for other children when I can but I don't think I'D like an official adoption. It will make me feel like a hypocrite pretending to be the father of someone who's not my child.
I wont mind the child being adopted in the sense of living with us and all that but I don't like the idea of the child being legally mine.
