@topup

I feel you.  I "see" every direction you are coming from and you are so correct.

Just one thing about this word "crazy".  The word "crazy" has become  a modern english slang that sometimes i get confused the way it is used.   For example:  Someone tell a joke.  Reaction:  They'll LOL and say "You're crazy". Crazy=funny.

Yes, men use the word crazy all the time to describe their wives/girlfriends and when ask "what do you mean by crazy"  You'll be shocked to hear the meaning.  The meaning has nothing to do with cukcoo/coocoo.  It's more of a "mistake" they make

Romance / Re: Is There A Man Shortage? by Cayon(f): 1:01am On Dec 27, 2008
I've read through a number of posts from men and heard their rants about "men are scarce because women are not looking for "good" men.  I am sure i can speak for all women - we are looking for "good" men  The problem is - the good men turned out to be bad men,  . . . .well some.  So, what makes a good man? Just curious,

Here is my definition of a good man

Never cheats on his girlfriend (one man woman)

He is a man of honor, one who keeps (never break) his words

He should take the responsible as head of the house (takes care of business - The intellect)

One who is willing to date a woman with children (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and more) Yes, accept her with all her children".  I have heard guys before saying "man she is fine but woa. . . . , 4 KIDS (shouting)

I can go on and on but these are my main defs

P.S. Oh, i've found a good guy, . .dayum good. . . , well i hope so. grin

Literature / Re: My Book Of Rants! by Cayon(f): 2:57pm On Dec 26, 2008
when I was a child, there was a girl in my class who, unprovoked, constantly told me that I was ugly. I'd be sitting, minding my own business, and out of the blue, there she would go about how ugly I was (and I wasn't ugly by the way) This really upset me, and when I told my Mom, you know what she said? "That's just because she thinks she's ugly - and she's scared you might notice."

I am not sure why certain people want to come on this forum to spit venom.  talk about inferiority complex. Why would anyone exhaust himself to convince someone else of his own superiority (assuming he genuinely believed it), if not as an attempt to outrun a pathological inferiority complex himself? And not just inferiority to us, but probably to everyone. This type of behavior is a form of neurosis: when you despise yourself (because those immediately around you despise you), you project those emotions onto others, and act out your self-hatred on them. This behavior develops easily with people who have no real lives; or who are perhaps outcasts of their own class. Think about it: if they had some love or friends or family in their lives, could they even be bothered to come on this forum to chat TOSH? Something's wrong with that picture. And if they really believed in their own superiority, they would not give this or any other predominant black site the time of day.

when they see a black man loving or leading they were unable to master, suddenly the burden becomes to difficult to bear. Their mind snaps, logic and reasonableness are lost. These may just be too blinded by their lack of self-esteem to focus on theirs.  It's unfortunate to see a person allow self-hatred to infect his relationships with others, let alone a single woman.

LMAO - Poor YT.

.have you seen this movie . . . . .not without my daughter. . . ?

@ariblaze

Sorry, I no longer want to post in that thread hence why i open this.

Regarding your question on "Not without my daughter" - the answer is NO.

I googled it and read the synopsis (see below).  SCARY Yikes!!!  I think i know what you are implying - but why would you suggest this movie to me.  I am no where close to that character.  Trust me, I am not easily fooled. Enlighten me some more please.

Thanks
Plot
After many years of marriage to an Iranian doctor named Moody (Alfred Molina), Alpena, Michigan-bred Betty (Sally Field) is convinced by him to visit his family in Tehran for the first time. Although she has a lot of trepidation about traveling to the Middle East, her fear of violence is overcome by sympathy for her husband, who misses his family. After Moody swears on the Qu'ran that everything will be fine, Betty agrees to go. The happy couple set out with their young daughter, Mahtob (played by Sheila Rosenthal, who won the Best Actress Young Artist Award for this role), on a planned two week family vacation.

Upon arrival, Betty is immediately required to wear the traditional black veil, and is nearly arrested for inadvertently exposing some of her hair. Contrary to everything Betty had previously been led to believe, her husband's family turns out to be fanatically devout and conservative Muslims, who are very unhappy with how Americanized Moody has become. Towards the end of their scheduled holiday, her husband reveals that he has been fired from his job in Michigan and has decided the family will stay in Iran, where they are desperate for doctors. Suddenly, she sees a completely different side of him. When she objects to staying, he beats her and takes her credit cards, money and identification. She soon realizes that she and her daughter have become prisoners in her sister-in-law's home. She manages to speak with her own mother in the US., who provides her with an Embassy contact, before her husband cuts off her access to the telephone.

Betty sneaks out of the house and gets to the Swiss Embassy, where she learns that under Iranian law women have no legal rights concerning their children; she and her daughter are automatically considered Iranian citizens because Betty married a legal Iranian, and neither can leave the country without Moody's signed permission. To make matters worse, if Betty were to get a divorce, she could leave Iran but Mahtob would have to stay since Moody would get sole custody. Her husband becomes increasingly violent toward her and she is watched around the clock by his unsympathetic relatives. Realizing that her opportunities to escape are limited, she plays the part of a devout Muslim wife. She attempts to mend the relationship with her husband and expresses an interest in converting to Islam. Eventually, her husband loosens his tight reign, moving the family into his brother's home. Her traumatized daughter is enrolled in a Muslim school, where Betty is allowed to accompany her. In a class about the Qu'ran, Betty meets Ellen, an American woman who is also married to an Iranian man. Their friendship between the two ends when Ellen is caught by her husband trying to mail a letter for Betty.

Over time, Moody trusts Betty to make short, timed trips to the market, without her daughter. In the marketplace she meets a man who is part of an underground network that assists Western women in her position and she begins to plan her escape. When her father falls ill, Moody makes plans for her to return to the US. for a visit. Her initial happiness fades when he informs her that her daughter will remain in Iran with him, while she liquidates all their assets in the US. and sends the money back to Iran. When she objects to leaving Mahtob behind, he slams his fists on the table and walks away from the table yelling, "It's my money and I want it!" Fearing that she will never see her daughter again if she leaves her in Iran, she accelerates her escape plan. The day before Betty is due to leave for the US. to see her father, Moody is called back to the hospital for an emergency. Betty takes advantage of this occasion to fake going out for a stroll with Mahtob. In a harrowing journey through the desert and mountains she and Mahtob escape Iran through Turkey, after eighteen months of living in Iran.

The movie was released a few days before the Persian Gulf War started. Some scenes of Not Without My Daughter have been repeatedly shown by IRIB in Iran.[citation needed]

Dear Loverboy

My feelings are growing stronger and stronger every day. You confide in me. That melts me inside. No one has ever in my life talked to me about their hurts and sorrows and I love that. We both have gone through so much, and I feel like I relate to you on a much higher level than I have ever felt before. We have the same interests and the same likes. I know I am a person that needs gratification, and you seem to fulfill my needs in every way.

I think that if we take our time and do everything right, this love could blossom into a fairytale romance. All I ask - and I know I have said it before – is that you be true to me and be true to yourself. I have put all my trust in you, and I have opened every fiber of my being to you and only you. I also said I don't care about looks or money, granted they are nice things, but I am after a love that will give me a reason to breathe. I want a future husband in my life, someone to hold, confide in, laugh with, cry with; someone I can watch football with, fish with, walk along the beach at night with. I want it. I deserve it, as do you. I sincerely hope that you feel the same as I do about you.

You are beautiful, you leave me speechless, you turn tears into happy bliss, you make bad things seem not so bad. You astonish me and you brighten every aspect of my life. Like you said, it’s amazing that we’ve grown so close in such a short amount of time. The feelings blossomed rapidly and I don't want to lose that. I have fallen madly in love with you. You are everything and more than what I have dreamed of my entire life. You would make me happier than the richest person in the world by sharing your love with me.

I know I am not perfect, but I do have goals in my life.  I am honest, sincere, and true, and I have a lot of love to give if you are willing to be on the receiving end. Please take this to heart, Baby; I love you.

I know that they say absence makes the heart grow fonder. I go to bed with tears every night waiting for the moment I can hear from you. I don't know this feeling - I have never experienced it. I want you by my side. I could never get tired of being near you whether on the phone, through emails or talking in person. I missed you more than words can say. I genuinely love you.

Love always,

Kuns:

And today in 2008 the Church of England which gave their black subjects and slave christianity are trying to make homosexual acceptable in churches across Northen Ireland, England and Wale and in many of their colonies.
So because a few sheep has gone astray, does that give you the right to criticize Christianity on a whole?. That's generalizing and unfair - very unfair.

So if your cousin is a crackhead -is it ok for me to refer to your entire family as the crackhead family who doesnt own a crackpipe.

Anyway, this is my last until Friday.

Wishing you and your family a joyous holiday.
