ashjay001:Abegi! is it not all because of 2019? Why didn't he start this the moment he assumed office? And who is to say he won't grant them all presidential pardon and call your bluff the moment he clitches his reelection 2019? Remember appeal court still dey where the case will still get to.PMB failed to deliver to the expectations of Nigerians who voted him in on the heels of his anticorruption campaign. Until he successfully jails Saraki, Obanikoro, Dino, most of those thieving governors who has perpetuated themselves in the legislator, I will see all he is doing presently as child's play. |
Frankyboy1:Honestly I think we should just put all these things behind us and go strictly business: Did GTB act against their initial agreement with innoson, we'll I don't trust Nigerian banks and I will wager they did and so should be penalized, although not so much as to shake customer confidence and put the bank in trouble but enough to reset their brain and serve ada deterrent to all other Nigerian banks who are into this fraud. Did innoson act fraudulent, that I can't categorically say. But if he is found guilty of that and also of this new development of deliberate misrepresentation of a court pronouncement, then he should be duly sanctioned; still not so much as to affect his business cos as it is, we need him and other businesses like his to be encouraged to get Nigeria into the auto tech mainstream. |
danny56:For little withdrawals, you can transfer the funds to an "always-in-the-red" account from your maim account. Then do the withdrawal. In fact, it is advised that you keep the ATM of the main account at home (to insure against loss, theft or robbery while you move around with the ATM of the "always-in-the-red" account. You need cash; transfer, then withdraw. For higher withdrawals, you can consider walking into the bank. But who drives around with millions in cash these days anyways? |
OhiOfIhima:I don't get what Bambiala is. Must have missed that class. |
naijjaman:So now you see that not everyone is bad. Identify the good ones that will add value to your life and associate with them while you keep some distance from the not-too good ones. |
sonnie10:She still doesn't have to sell the land. For one, it belongs to her brother and she should be happy that he owns something that precious. Secondly, it appreciates and even if she still feels she should get back the money, she should have communicated with the brother or wait till he comes back. The proceeds from selling the appreciated property will pay off her brother's debt and possibly leave more change for him to fall back on and use to start a new and productive life in Nigeria. If the sister had done this, the brother will worship her, àjobí (kinship) will have blessed them both amd heavens too will have looked down om her with favour. Alas she was myopic. |
Icon79:I have this big daddy who told me about his younger brother who travelled out. He had forced him to buy that land and develop it cos according to him, things can change. Fast forward to 15 years, the man had retired and traveled back to Nigeria. He stayed back in Lagos doing nothing. But dad had to force him back to his home state to finish building that house and live in it. Dad had the papers for 15 years, and kept it till he came back, handed everything to uncle and made sure he did not live a wasted life. If he had not listened to the advice to buy the land and develop the property, well he'll have nothing by now. Now that's a good family. The youths of today in contrast live selfish lives and prefer to be successful at the expense of kith and kin instead of working towards the good of the family in general. I guess they enjoy having some embers of the family come to beg them cap in hand for pittance. |
Macheteros1:Woah! 10.4mpg is really bad. The impact on fuel money becamwe apparent at 15.2mpg. 10.4mpg will definitely be a killer. |

OrestesDante:Lmao. badt guy. |
yomijnr:Bro, CT scan is routine investigation over here. Failure to include it can earn you serious trouble. In 9ja, CT scan is a luxury. Health insurance is still at its infancy and the routine investigations are limited to blood works in this case of stroke. Most Nigerian public hospitals do not have CT scan or they have a non-functioning one. So based on clinical acumen, you thrombolyse first, complete resuscitation, then do CT. Mind you, they may need to travel hundreds of kilometres to get the procedure done. Blame not the helpless doctors and the patients but our leaders. |
Nkcells:Hmmm. Natural Killer Cells. |
MakeADifference:Any pictures? If yes, do the pictures show the patient's face? Can you get the patient's identity from the information given by the poster? Now those are what you look for before you make your accusations. The story could as well be seen as a work of fiction, a good representative of real life scenario. |
uloewa:The patient was not conscious. The spouse needs to give the consent for treatment. That's how it still is in 9ja. In advanced climes where the government can take custody of a child from the parents, then a spouse will likely not have that ultimate say in the treatment of the patient. The courts will have even stepped in the moment the patient is being denied proper treatment and the spouse and pastor will later get arrested and prosecuted for reckless endangerment and conspiracy to kill. |

phase1:The same manner johesu excos boasted to have spoken with about 5 chairmen of governing council and all five confirmed the fact that the minister has no right to summon them to Abuja for meeting to take decisive steps on the impasse. Less than 24 hours after, all summoned board chairmen were in Abuja with Adewole. You see, johesu in one of their communique has sanctioned propaganda as a tool allowed in furtherance of their agenda during this strike. Ironically, the propaganda tool is used more on her members to give them false hope of victory. |
lekikosky:Funny. A psychiatrist happens to be a medical doctor. It means johesuites know the truth about who the patient comes to see in the hospital, but they'd rather stand the truth on its head. I'm glad you didn't say a psychologist, who will invariably be johesu if he works in a Nigerian hospital. |
chucs:Applicants that turned out for job interview in LUTH. Replacements thronged the place.

Handsomebeing:Scatter marriage ke? How? ![]() |
Moneytize:Lol. ![]() |
toysleek:The CMD was only being modest. There is no need whipping up sentiments and promoting more bad blood especially with Johesu's loss of public sympathy. The managing team mostly comprised of surgeons, anaesthesiologists, radiologists, pathologists, physicians which are all doctors. Even medical students too are part of the team cos they have contributory role by virtue of their training and presence on the wards post op. If the positions of scrub nurses and other ancillary staff cannot be filled in by the doctors or medical students present by virtue of their hands being filled rather than of incompetence, people in such fields can be outsourced to temporarily fill in that position; the contract staff you mentioned for instance. Even the position of a doctor can be outsourced sef. No one is irreplaceable. Nurses no doubt will be required more on the wards post op, but I believe senior nurses in the management cadre will not join the strike. Even if they do, that can even be outsourced still. |
danilmo:What duty of a nurse can a secondary school student do abeg? I want to believe you are only being sarcastic. I think nursing more as a profession than a pre-occupation or leisure, the training for which can only be undertaken by an adequately mature mind. |
Amarabae:And that is how far you see or how much you know. A very small, negligible percentage of medical students can afford to party and still perform exceptionally well in their academics. People are not all cut out equally and not gifted equally. |
Amarabae:And you call yourself a nurse? Weren't you taught that "common things occur commonly" in different places? Malaria, typhoid and other tropical diseases occur commonly in the tropics and it is therefore expected for doctors working in such regions to be proficient in treating such ailments. Some may be required to undergo training in managing exotic diseases in which case they become a teeny weeny less proficient in tropical disease management and will have to rely more on primary specialists in tropical medicine. It should be no surprise nor attract condemnation when a doctor in the US happens to nearly miss the diagnosis of malaria in a patient that actually has the infection. |
joobreel:I had similar RX300 issue about 3 months ago. It started on a morning. Under normal circumstances when started, the RPM first rises to between 2x and 2.5x, stays there for about 5 secs to 7 secs then gradually begin to come down to the expected less than 1x rpm. But with the onset of the problem, it starts and cranks quite well, but the RPM now starts at just a little above 1x RPM and soon rapidly approaches zero that the engine will wanna stall unless I slightly put my foot on the accelerator pedal to keep the engine running. Once I'm able to keep it running for about two minutes, I can finally lift my foot off the gas pedal and then things get on normally. The second week I noticed jerky movements develop after it's been driven for about 40 miles especially on hot afternoons. The problem stops once I top up with petrol, so I assumed it may be a bad fuel pump. I had it replaced (the whole unit actually for around 15k) with marginal improvement but I wasn't yet satisfied. The third week I noticed that the fuel gauge indicator drops faster than I am used to and noticed I had to spend little more on fuel. Sadly for the five years I'd owned it, I always kept the mileage info on the "instant mileage option", but now I would require to know the premorbid "average mileage" and the new average MPG" to tell a difference. I decided on a workaround. I also own a RX330, and a close colleague also owns a RX300. So I decided to do a comparison. My findings: My RX330 averaged at 17.2MPG, colleagues RX300 averaged at 16.5MPG while the problematic RX300 averaged at 14.1 MPG. I don't even think a V8 SUV performs at that abysmally poor 14.1MPG (I stand to be corrected though). Also for the first time since the trouble started, I had someone hit the gas pedal while I went to the back to check the exhaust. You need to see the soot that covered the floor nearest to the exhaust. So I visited a mecho and narrated my findings. A scan came back with many errors (of course the check engine light has been on for more than a year). After clearing some errors, two errors kept popping up among which is, according to the mecho, 2 sensors located in the front and rear if the exhaust. Each was to cost 12k for replacement excluding workmanship. Within 2 days it was fixed and repeat scan came back with no errors. MY EXPERIENCE: I decided to take it on a trip to Ilorin and had a mileage of 18.9MPG. Okay, that's impressive considering that even happened to be better than my supposedly non-problematic RX330. The check engine light came back on the third day. However everything continued fine for about 3 weeks thereafter. About a month ago, I started the car, heard a click and all the light went off. I knew it was battery contact issue and the mecho had not taken the extra care to tighten the battery terminal nut. So I did that and everything was alright for about two days. Since about a month till now that I'm typing this, the mileage has dropped to a constant 15.3 MPG. Of course no soot from the exhaust (or maybe I assume so), but I can tell the marginal increase in fuel purchase than when I was doing 18.9 MPG and the premorbid period I know I need to get the ride re-assessed with this repeat episode of poor performance vis-a-vis gas mileage but time is a luxury. I need to have enough time to stay with any mechanic that'll work on it. For lack of trust in most car mechanics, I make it a point of duty to always hang around when work is done on my ride. Pardon the epistle, but I tried to be this detailed for your sake. Hope you can pick one or two things from my experience to help address the issue with your RX300. |
