Halopy:I find it difficult to believe your claim on the doctors asking how possible a uterine fibroid co-existing with an advanced pregnancy in the 2nd trimester disappears on radiologic imaging. This is a very plausible possibility that has a scientific basis and explanation, something which the average doctor expects may happen. This does not rule out the existence of miracles but you need to know why that may have happened. While a fibroid may be a threat to pregnancy, an advanced pregnancy co-existing with a small uterine fibroid usually favours the growth of the former. The fibroid at this point is being starved of blood supply from competition from the growing baby and also the changing architecture of the uterus. It therefore undergoes what is called red degeneration (shrinking in layman's term) And on the successful delivery, I believe that was handled by the doctors that have been termed "negative" in your post. And I implore you to stop the believe that "Jesus alter negative doctor's report. It's sad that doctors who do their jobs diligently within the confines of science and medicine as provided for by physical evidence and patient history have been regarded as the devil or the devil's henchman. Doctors are not magicians. They are scientists that work with facts and the real world; not spiritism. So when they tell a cancer patient or the relatives that a 5 year survival rate is the prognosis, the next thing you hear is "I rebuke the devil" and they go on to their churches and pastors to report that doctors have pronounced death on them and have prayer directed at the "doomsayers". And when they eventually give testimonies, you hear things like "the doctors said the delivery will be via Caesarean section but I rebuked it and my God turned their counsel into foolishness. A doctor provides scientific based facts and that does not make them the devil, rather it makes them the empathetic helper who prefers to be honest with you. However if you require faith based pronouncements, a clergy is the way to go. |
blaqroy:This guy. Hmmm. How UK na? Greet mama Charlie o. |
It is a lie! Tell me, has SA ceased to be part of the African continent again wey i no know? In like manner, I think PMB should also tow that path of honour. But na 9ja we dey na, not SA.

Oh no! This ain't what we need at this time. Buhari needs to be shown he is not meeting expectations, not indulging him by the international community. Oh, i forgot. It's the AU - controlled from the shadows by the West. Keep encouraging their bad leaders and bring down the honest and sincere ones. That way, Africa and indeed the black nation will continue to be under perpetual misrule. |
Otapipia:Reno "Wendell Simlin" Omokri no get sense reach you na. I doubt he will even comprehend your viewpoint. All he is ever good at is nit-picking. Now in his own sense of reasoning, Aishat's differing viewpoint in favour of Nigerians who aren't having it good under her husband implies that Muhammadu Buhari can't fix his own house. I wonder how Omokri would have twisted things if Aisha had taken sides with her husband against Nigerians. Reno is a sicko. Even yèyé FFK will give a better viewpoint on this issue. |
2016easy2017:We'll, going by the two different posts that you put up, one about your toothache and later same edited to your persecutory delusion by NEPA officials, I'd say you're showing some tangentiality and inconsistency in thought process and verbalization. A brief visit to the psychiatrist may be what you need. Sadly, I'm not one, so I can't tell you what exactly to expect like I did for the tooth thingy. But what I can tell you that the cost of services of a psychiatrist, either in private practice or government employ, trumps that of the dentist. I'm sorry. |
9jakohai:Get yourself to any reputable government hospital, especially Federal medical centres or teaching hospitals. You'll only need to open treatment folder (max 1k). You will usually not be required to perform series of test which would have increased treatment costs. I think consultation fees should also be in the range of 500 naira to 1k. The removal itself should be free. The remaining cost to bear should be your drugs after treatment which are basically pain relievers and/or antibiotics. Follow up visits will likely be once (500 naira to 1k consultation fee per follow up). That's like 3k in total for the process. Your medications for one week treatment should be under 1k. With 4k, you should get yourself treated, that's in a reputable government hospital as I said. |
LuvU2:You sound like you have a "sadist" sexual orientation. Probably with masochism too. I now see why you have that perspective. It's your choice anyways. |

dadabashua1:Guys actually take this as a compliment and take no offence. It depicts virility in all its ramifications. Worst they'll do when called that is snigger about it. I find myself calling coupla my guys that dress to kill in traditional attires "Yoruba demons" to take subtle swipes at 'em, not even minding that I be Yoruba myself o. |
donstan18: Original Wehrey. |
Fayose's Range rover got burnt sometime late last year, in Lagos too. I read another instance of Range caught fire in Lagos too. Now this Land rover. Can we tell if there have been some recalls of Land Rover products that Nigerians have not be aware of? |
surgical:GEJ and his spendthrift wife got on the nerves of Nigerians and the citizens decide not to spare them, simple. That election was more of a protest vote against GEJ's government rather than for PMB's, but it's a done and sealed deal. My sincere advice: Don't hang onto that pain. You really need to move on. |
Dimples129:Well, the chances are slim that it has to do with quality control or consumer protection handled by the SON and CPA respectively. These two Nigerian agencies are moribund or non-existent in Nigeria at the moment. When an event like these happen in Nigeria especially to hawkers and extremely low earners, it usually has to do with them being penalized for displaying their wares in no-hawking zones. The zones are usually marked out as high brow areas for the elite who would rather not see "dirty and haggard-looking low-lifers" on their beautiful streets or on their way to or from their palatial mansions. This is worse than apartheid. |
KingLennon:Well, the commissioner's actions as "heartless" has already been impressed on the minds of people around. She should have thought about that before taking that first step; that first impression is a lasting impression. There are better and more humane ways she could have targeted low earning traders like the woman and convince them to stop breaking the law. A one on one talk and plea would do something. The higher income traders could have been given stiffer acts like public confiscation of their wares - which of course will be returned off camera. These arrangements will appeal better to the sentiments of many. It's all about PR. And Yorùbá's will say that if you are sent on a fool's errand or a slave's errand, you should run that errand as a son's errand whilst still getting the same result - meaning you use discretion. |
OfficialAwol:Exactly first thing that comes to mind. |
Jointhemiltons2: I'm quoting you to follow your posts. I'll see if you're able to keep this resolution. |
Did you say "safety of the goat?!" |
Forget sontin! I will advice this young chap to keep it up for as long as he is in Nigeria, this is a sign that he is to become the governor of his own state of origin and continue erecting statues. Maybe even break Rochas' record. Ditto for the kleptomaniacs among the youths of today. The are the only group that as long as this current system remains, are sure to get thru to that caucus of thieving Nigerian politicians and continue administering the festering arrangement the country is under. Ask Dino Melaye. He didn't give up on the kleptomanic tendencies he had when in ABU. Today he has odd cars as toys. Even Bukola Saraki didn't give up on his favourite past time when in medical school in the UK, something which he continued with when he came to Nigeria as the GMD of the then Savannah bank. See where it got him today. By the way, Schnapps and Lacoste needs to arrange a meeting with the dude. |
kimbraa:That's why they are called slay queens na. Whenever they choose to slay, you gotta pay and pack the money their way. ![]() |
NwaAmaikpe:I may stop logging into NL because of this guy. I always try to see his positions through the prism of sarcasm, but it appears he always actually means and believes these oddities. |
kimbraa:No be on top bench dem dey sleep for there, abi? At least no be for on top woman. And after dem win the money, na on top slays dem go spend am na. |
moscobabs: ![]() I know what you did there..... |
Heywhizzy:Lmao Wehrey. Wetin you dey do for Nairaland when you fit dey make more money for events like "Night of a thousand laughs"? |
Wow. This is Dayo in the series: Hustle. Cool guy that always gets into trouble in Lagos for his apparent JJC-ish naivety in dos and don'ts of Lagos life. Always gotten into trouble and out of trouble by his old schoolmate and then roommate "Acid". Mama Sekinat played by Sóbòwálé. The troublesome Warri guy Ochuko, that mama Sekinat son (I forgot the funny dude's name now) and Uzo are some other characters there. Seyi Law too. Funny series. |
I too expect PMB to have woken me this morning with a phone call congratulating me for witnessing a new day. By the way, you sound so much liberal in your description of the "opposition" tag. But sincerely, you do not condone any form of opposition in your own state of Ekiti. You literarily clamp down on 'em, physically destroy their structures and intimidate 'em with death threats. Some even whisper it that men lost their lives during your first regime simply because they stood up to you. Even the civil servants cannot protest non-payment of wages of 8 months using the most basic of labour tools recognised by the ILO. Hence there is currently no dissenting voice of opposition in Ekiti state under your regime. |
EVILFOREST:Some 9ja recent past presidents check some of those boxes. –Be detribalized. (OBJ, Yaradua) –use your kindsmen to set 1st example of punishment. (OBJ, with the Afolabi National ID saga, PMB half-heartedly with Dasuki although his is vendetta driven) –State your priorities before assumption.(All 9ja leaders do this but fulfilling the priorities becomes the problem once they get sworn in) –Be FAIR and Firm at the same time. (OBJ, Yaradua) –Never Challenge your God to a Fight. (Don't get what you mean by this) –Make Every Nigerian Feel important. (None) –Make them feel like 1st class citizens. (None) –Defend every Nigerian Tribe abroad. (OBJ) –Involve Women. (OBJ, Yaradua, GEJ) –involve Technocrats. (OBJ, Yaradua, GEJ) –be ready for criticisms whether Destructive or healthy. (None) –Never politicise appointments.(OBJ) –Never condone Corruption.OBJ half heartedly, ditto PMB who is worse) –Use the untouchables to set examples(OBJ) –The death of any Nigerian, should weaken you.(None) –deceive every Nigerian with good, quality projects.(None) –then WORK, WORK, WORK.(None, cos all they ever think of is to loot, loot and loot) Finally, they will.likely not let you get there if you pack 80% of these qualities. |
