Differing views is acceptable in the spirit of national inclusion and unification. This is history being laid down and reference to it in future has the potential to further solidify the unity of the south. This is why Yorùbás can gladly beat their chest that Nigerian history is replete with their fight for justice, fairness and entrenchment of democracy for Nigerians. MKO, Kudirat sacrificed their lives for it. Gani Fawehinmi, the lawyer and human right activist, was a torn in the flesh of Abacha military junta. Tinubu, Wọlé Soyinka used Radio Kudirat to fight off the military junta. Wọlé Soyinka and Fálànà et Al fought to make sure that the doctrine of necessity required to swear in the vice president (who was being oprresed by the cabal then) when there is an ailing or incapacitated president is effected, something which effectively brought in Jonathan, a non-Yoruba, as the de factor president. It is the same Soyinka and with Bakare et al that condemned GEJ when he began failing in his duties towards Nigerians who voted him in. Please note that at this time, Soyinka and Bakare and indeed every other southerners who called out GEJ for his ineptitude at that time automatically became the object of derision and abuse for every Igbos that cared to express blind support for GEJ. Of those that condemned GEJ, the Yorùbás were called jealous, and the Ijaws/few Igbos were called bastards. Even the Ijaws (GEJ's south south people) were no match for the Igbos in the defence of their brother whom the Igbos already believed was an acceptable representation of south Eastern Nigeria in governance. All these are to one end - justice, fairness and equity for the oppressed. In Yorùbá, the elder is expected to be fair to all parties. A saying goes that "a newly born infant should not have a distorted head in the presence of an elderly person in the market place". What I am however unsure of is if the Ndigbo will have done the same if roles were reversed and I have valid reasons. Some are as follows: ¶ The unnatural tagging of Lagos as no man's land when it is obvious that Calabar and Lokoja were once the nation's capital and yet not tagged such anathema by the Yorùbás. Even the audacity to tag Abuja the current capital city as no man's land cannot be mustered by any one. ¶ The mocking, though positive tag of the Yorubas as "accommodators" and the unnatural opportunism to use such to cause roforofo issues. Meanwhile such accommodative reception cannot be said to be offered to the accommodators when roles are reversed. Note that the back and forth of this particular name calling, when it was finally an acceptable norm among some Igbos, was what led to the eventual coinage of similar word by the Yorubas to counter the Igbos - the word "developers", which is meant as a derogatory term but a positive truth nonetheless. ¶ The deliberate and diabolical distortion of history to paint the liberal south west as the villain when it comes to narrating history, deliberately leaving out the good and gallant actions which are interjections of history by the Yorùbás, actions aimed towards fostering national unity, avoiding vendetta and entrenching togetherliness amongst folks in Southern Nigeria. Meanwhile the narrators paint themselves as the saint and the victimized at every turn of the narrations. One example is the protection and caretaking of properties in the south west that belonged to fleeing Igbos during the unfortunate civil war and the subsequent return of those properties to the rightful owners when they returned after the war. This includes the rent accrued during the time of their absence. Another example is the courageous death of colonel Fajuyi. Aguiyi Ironsi (from the south East) was his guest when the coup plotters from Northern Nigeria meant to assassinate him in Ibadan, the then capital city of the old western region. Colonel Fajuyi knowing that such has the tendency of negatively affecting history forever in southern Nigeria maintained that he will not allow them to assassinate Aguiyi Ironsi as it will give the impression of complicity of the Yorùbás particular at a time when the integrity of the thread of national unity was been threatened. He said they will have to go thru him first, and indeed they did. They killed him (Fajuyi), then went inside to assassinate Aguiyi Ironsi. I can go on and on. The elders and honest leaders of South Eastern Igbos know all these history and some of them try as much as possible to tell the truth if it. Unfortunately their voices are being drowned out by the majority emotional and restless youths of today who believe that their hitherto friend has always been their arch enemy. They strongly hold believe these false narratives and therefore enact all their unwholesome attitude along these false storyline and further widen that gorge of disagreement between the two major owners of Southern Nigeria. The disadvantage of these is that thes current youth pass these false narratives down to their offspring who also swallow such hook line and sinker. The same reasons why history was abolished from the Nigerian school curriculum is the same reason why these ones will refuse to make due diligence for private study to learn and prevent an enemy to tell their own history for them. techgeniusworld:I highly doubt that you are. No Yoruba holds Awolowo with little regard, if for anything at all his drive towards free education and development of the Southern Region which many of our fathers enjoyed in those days. He may not be perfect across board, but unlike the politicians of today, he had genuine and selfless plans towards development of the Yorùbás who owned the south west. He established OBAFEMI Awolowo University, but against all "reasoning" of today politicians, refused to have it established in his home state of Ogun, but put it in Ile-Ife, the ancestral home and origin of the Yorùbás. He was not overtly rich at death. He was modestly wealthy unlike our politicians of today who will steal their people blind while leaving them in penury and poverty. You disregard him, but the British fear him because of his intelligence. They feared his collaboration with Enahoro who was equally brilliant and so they (Britain) blackmailed Nnamdi Azikiwe to back-stab the Yorùbás I order for the Northern oligarchy, which the brit saw as loyal to them, to clinch the prime ministerial position. If your axe to grind is with Tinubu, I may not really have much to say in his defence because of his many fallacies even though he has his good parts too, but saying Awolowo is not a hero to a Yoruba makes me to doubt your ancestral claim. Please history is there for us to learn from and plot our future. |
MadamVanessa:See this one come spoil am. You were really vibing from the outset, but terminated it with a bad crash. As a guy, I sincerely wouldn't relish easing it out with a sex doll when sweet ladies abound, although you're unlikely to be one of those few sweet ones that remain. Why would anyone prefer s3x toys primarily over the real deal? Eeew. |
This man is being insensitive. It's not a crime that she tried to express her attraction towards that man. She has seen in him a responsible and caring person whom the average woman will desire. The man should be appreciative of that fact at least and appropriately reject in a polite manner, not condemning her publicly even threatening to stop being kind to her. Even if he intends to trend with it, a wiser approach would have been to give the appropriate response to an admirer. After all he is not married yet, so a proper "thank you but I'm not interested" should suffice. This is what I'll do if I was in his shoes. She is a widow, not some random fresh unmarried girl, so she already has experience enough to express her mind. If it was a young girl, imught want to exercise some worry about some wayward Ness, which isn't even necessarily so. From the grammatical errors in the text message, the cleaner is probably from the lower class in the society, reason that the guy feels insulted that he can't be seen dating someone from that lower class. But he should know that a man can always nurture the woman to his taste/class in life. Although he doesn't necessarily have to agree to her advances. He should be thankful that the woman is not the kind that would have gone diabolical to get what she wants. After all as a house keeper, she has access to your clothing, foods and whatnot. She could have as well gotten what she wants by traditional/diabolical force rather than coming out the natural way to express her desires. My one kobo. MadamVanessa:See this one come spoil am. Toluene15:Tried the Web. Error 404. The homepage loaded. But when I try to navigate using any of the tabs menu on the homepage, I get that error. Tried with both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers. Although they were both on mobile. So maybe I'll try it on the PC. One thing I like about them is that they call people promptly and even at arranged times. They once called me around 2am, 4 hours after I mailed their Cc. I politely told the lady that I'm busy and won't be able to take calls at that time, so we agreed that she called back around 7am as my call will be over by then. I was impressed as she called by 7:05 am, she called. The issue was about their AltBank banking by the way. And I also have GoMoney account which is also operated by them. Unfortunately they have reduced GoMoney virtual card international transactions to 20usd monthly. So with this new account I just opened on OneBank platform, I effectively have accounts with all their three platforms now.

Chizip:The same response I got. I wonder if it has anything to do with the "incomplete documentation". See attached screenshot.
|
TheLoneCitizen:Been able to do that. Completed within 1 hour. You'll first start thru the wallet account, then upgrade to classic savings account which looks like a full fledged account. Problem though is I've not been able to create card. I'm getting an error message that my "account is unable to make transfer". Checking the account officer, I noticed that an account officer is yet to be assigned to the newly opened account. I also get a notification of "incomplete documents" and when I try to upload the required documents - passport/selfie picture and signature, all I'm getting is error. Toluene15:I've used the app successfully. I'll try using the website to upload the documents required.

VeeVeeMyLuv:On the bolded, I won't blame them and your assumption about them for not responding is wrong for two reasons: First, revealing the information on sellers that allow split payments (if there are any sellers with such peculiarity) will not in any way preclude the furtherance of such benefits to any buyers for that matter. After all, na for me to buy. If seller wan sell market well, hin go agree to things wey go make seller patronise am wella. Second, there is no particular seller that has that tag of "accepting split payments". You will try that option on seller/shop basis by asking the seller if he/she allows it. Most of the buyers that I have had such understanding with are those that I bought power inverters and solar charge controllers (which are usually expensive stuff's) from, who in certain instances have enjoyed "non-split payment" patronage from me when the going was still good for Nigeria as per dollar availability. So I sort of already had a relationship or credibility with them. In other instances where I am patronising the seller for the first time and I make such request of split payments, I believe my "buyer rating" on AE is what such sellers check out before agreeing to my requests. In a few other instance, the sellers no go even respond to such request or outrightly rejects my request for split payments. In many more cases, the seller does not even understand the "turenchi" you type in your messages requesting for split payments and will respond to you like an automated machine that you get frustrated after going back and forth with ten, twenty messages requesting the same thing which he/she seems not to understand. So please don't blame those that didn't respond on that issue of split payments. |
Toluene15:Is this what I'm expected to see when openong the account? This doesn't appear to be like I'll be getting a full fledged account. A wallet account doesn't sound like a full account. And one isn't sure when an upgrade to full account will take place, if there is anything like an upgrade at all.

dapsyra:Thanks. I'll Google that. I know it's gonna cost an arm but I go sha still check am out fess. ![]() |
precious001:That "EMS" means that it is headed for the post office rather than terminal speedaf office. So I wouldn't even stress myself, for it will undergo the same extended period other packages that end up in post office experience. In fact it will have gotten to ONDO by the fourth day of that update, but you know as it is with post office ńa. So I'd say you give it about two weeks within which you should be contacted. Please note that this opinion of mine can be valid only as long as you have previously been getting items from a post office close to you before this item. |
FEGEITOK:Talking about boomboxes, this reminds me of my dear Bose Soundlink BT speaker. I have tried to find an equal to it and believe me I haven't been able to find a suitable replacement after spending fortunes on two popular names - Anker and well, Sony dissapointedly. The Bose was highjacked by my little sister who I can't say no to. |
FEGEITOK:Okay then. Can't agree less. It appears you did your home work. Care to give drop the rep address? |
Ha! What could tip a person to enact this much wickedness to those that served as channels for his sojourn into this planetary milieu? |
FEGEITOK:Well, it's not just about the brand names, especially when dealing in the Nigerian market, but also the availability of the real deal. As far as these electronics are concerned, there are "products made for Africa" which are always below par what they produce for the US and Europe. This is especially common for TVs like LG, Samsung and Hisense. I have LG TVs purchased directly from Fouani (LG direct rep in Nigeria) and also a year old used imported from Europe. Mehn, you need to see the clear cut difference. In quality, the Europe model trumps the one from fouani many times over. So my question to you is if you got these Panasonic and Daikin ACs from Nigerian reps which will in effect mean you're likely offered "Made for Africa" model or you had them imported as Europe models? |
What's Gastro Intestine Disorder? Bia, poster be kiavul. Is there anywhere in the article where they put it like that? Anyways, the DSS should do the needful. It is only someone that is alive that can be prosecuted. Nnamdi Kanu deserves to be given the best of care for the fact that his is a high profile case with the government. But sincerely if Buhari can maltreat his own in that Shite man that was held for months until he became blind, I'm afraid for Kanu. Sunday Igboho should be thankful that the forces in the south west ensured that he was kept away from the Nigerian government and ensured that that Nigerian ambassador to Benin Republic was shamed. |
More like "Electricity consumers scammed of £₦210 billion naira in three months". Glad I'm not one of the magas that paid. My payment is only to the sun and my gratitude is only to the Almighty for creating the sun to do that job for me. #TeamSolarPower |
He bought it off of those beggars probably, in this case perhaps to trend. That they are mint notes show that he wants to make a trending video. The person making the video is probably in on it. In other situations, ritualists, yahoo boys and diabolical people buy alms monies off of those beggars and those monies are used for fetish purposes, though not likely to be mints like the man in the video has. Who knows perhaps that's why a lot of Nigerians remain poor today. They don't have much, then the little they have is been spiritually siphoned. And before anyone comes out to tell me if the rich don't also give alsm to the poor, majority of these rich people do it not out of social responsibility but as a ritual process to get more monies and as instructed by their herbalist. A Nigerian politician's money is so much that it can't be eaten into by any beggar's alms diabolism; it is only the average Nigerians who live from hand to mouth that can be spiritually eaten into. |

johnbd:It's not any threat of impeachment bro. It is the modus operandi. GEJ suddenly developed brain waves to up the onslaught against the Boko Haram two mo ths tó his tenure expiration. Buhari has only developed similar brain waves. And it's not a Nigerian peculiarity. Obama of the US towards the end of his first tenure ensured he killed Muama Gaddafi thereby plunging Libya, a once prosperous and thriving Northern African country into rubles, a fallout from which is the influx of terrorists armed with small arms and a munitions into subsaharan Africa including the Nigerian space. He also ensured he graced his crown with the feather of Osama Bin Ladin's capture and execution towards the end of his second term as president. This is something he could have comfortably done the moment he got sworn in as president. This is all politics but the unfortunate aspect of it is that innocent humans are used as expendables, cannon fodder and collaterals in this game. Thousands of Nigerian lives could have been saved if Buhari had this brain wave 11 months into his first term rather than now. |
Fayemi the thief. It is so disappointing that a crusader for democracy and freedom in the days of Abacha with the use of Radio Kudirat then turned out to be one of the most kleptomanic governors/politicians of the democratic era he fought for. ¶ His first term was riddled with refusal to remit workers cooperative savings, hence many ended up getting anything between 20% to 50% of their monthly salaries, yet unable to approach the coop societies for loans because their savings there has been held back by Fayemi. ¶ Towards the end of Fayose era, he (Fayemi) in his campaigns promised to pay back the three months salaries owed civil servants within 6 months of his being sworn in as second term governor. Truly the APC-led FG remitted a large chunk of money to him at that time to kick start his governance in the state, an opportunity he was expected to have utilized to settle the backlogs but he held back that money and diverted it to personal use. ¶ Taxes and IGR in the state were unofficial and have only been generated for the governor, not for the development of the state. ¶ All through his second tenure, he did not do any promotions or recruitments of note in the civil service. Segun Òní's tenure was the last time civil servants in the state experienced any semblance of "promotion backed by emoluments increment". Every other regime had only been "promotion on paper", including Fáyòșé's. ¶ Even now his second tenure is replete with the same modus operandi of refusing to remit workers cooperative savings to the respective thrift and credit societies. Those workers that realized early were smart enough to sign out of the various coop ventures of their choice and thus get their salaries in full. But for those that realized late, it is not something to envy. Fáyemí too, realising a trend that the cooperative savings monies of the civil servants accruing to him monthly is geometrically reducing coupled with resultant increment in wage bill and finding out why, quickly legislated that any cooperative society that allows members to exit the scheme either forcefully or voluntarily risks getting sanctioned. This is to ensure that the monies of these people that he has been diverting continues to remain so. ¶ The teaching hospital staff in the state live in the most harrowing financial conditions as they are not regularly paid, hence there has been massive resignations from the staff who have moved on to the federal hospital in the state where their colleagues have better standard of remuneration for works done. ¶ As his second term tenure approaches expiry, he begun a major road rehabilitation in the state in the usual manner politicians do when they plan to use ill intended projects to siphon monies as their term draws to expiry. He completed only 10% of that project and for 4 months he had abandoned it. The road (Ado township-Ifaki Road) which was hitherto manageable for motorists had now become a death trap because the grading removed the remnants of tar that were useful for commute from the road, leaving only earth/soil the whole stretch of the road which has deteriorated to muddy sinkholes with the start of the rainy seasons. ¶ He also unleashed the state IRS service, the FRSC and state VIO on motorists in the spirit of revenue generation drive, which is not a bad thing really. However the question is why do this at a time when your tenure expires in two months when you could have done such the moment you're sworn in for a second tenure. The obvious driving force behind that his sudden brain wave is the need to generate more money that he will take with him as he leaves, and not because he intends to use the IGR and taxes to develop the state. If someone who prides his emergence as a crusader on the June 12 chronicles can turn out to be one of the most corrupt, despotic and notorious perpetrator of the same evil he despises and condemns at that time, it is a huge dissapointment for people like us who sat excitedly by our radios as 7pm approaches everyday to listen to his baritone voice rendition of speeches on Radio Kudirat channel during those days of NADECO (National Democratic Coalition) which championed the struggle that culminated in the demise of General Sanni Abacha and emergence of Major General Olusegun Obasanjo as the democratic leader of the 3rd Republic. He had a choice to be different. Awolowo was different. Jakande stood out and was different. Yet they both were not poor in life and in death. So why would this shameful man not be a crusader of lasting legacy for his people in Ekiti and for the Yorùbás in general? Fáyemí, I spit on you. You suck! |
The military high command disclosed this, saying security agencies have launched manhunt for one Alhaji Abubakar, a suspected terrorist financier over his activities. Not Atiku, I'm sure. Items recovered from them, according to him, include 21 AK47 rifles, 163 rounds of 7.62mm special, 2 RPG bombs, 25 dane guns, 4 unexplosive ordinance store, 2 bandoliers, 10 solar panels, 23 bicycles, 10 motorcycles, 1 tricycle, 19 cell phones, 28 torch lights, bags of assorted grains, 122 rustled sheep, and the sum of N203,125.00.If these people claim to be so much against "western/modern education", I wonder why they keep using things that are discovered and manufactured via western education. They should just stick to the use of camels, fire torches, cowrie shells, ravens, crows or at best homing pigeons to deliver messages. Then they will be able to command absolute respect for their ideology. johnbd:It's not any threat of impeachment bro. It is the modus operandi. The cabal that has risen from the governance of the inept Buhari has ensure to steal the country blind before the expiry of the government in few months time. There is now even a last minute rush/scramble to steal. It happened also during GEJ's era, it just didn't seem to be this terrible. But of course that is the MO of any Fulani administered situation and this is one thing Lugard noted years before independence in his memoirs to the Queen (this is a document that truly exists) viz - The Fulanis create a hegemony of elites only, use the common patrimony of the people to fund the avaricious lifestyle of the group and even tax the people more to keep them subjugated. Meanwhile that elite group will not think on how to improve the system to make sure the people paying for their avaricious lifestyle live a decent life in order to sustain the cycle of giving and taking, even though undesirable. Because this one way system is hardly sustainable, a time comes that everything grinds to a halt. No more money to steal because the people they steal from are already tapped out, owning nothing else that can be stolen. ° ¶ Air Nigeria Logo ° ¶ Fuel subsidy that has risen to trillions ° ¶ Daily quoted PMS consumption that has somehow tripped within 2 years. I wonder if common Nigerians have gotten so rich to be able to afford tripling their ownership of cars within 2 years. ° ¶ School feeding programme running into billions claimed by that Fulani woman at a time when Covid lock down has all school children in their papa house. ° ¶ Bush cutting by a whooping 400 million naira ° ¶ Another Bush cutting venture has just been announced again. Millions have also been budgeted for that. ° ¶ The new unravelled scam/corruption within PenCom where it is calculated that each staff (of the 500 staff population) earns approximately 2.5 million naira monthly. This was the calculation from the yearly "personnel cost" budget submitted by PenCom on yearly basis. °¶ Monies (billions of naira) that have been budgeted for Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) of the port Harcourt refineries every two years since Buhari came, but that refinery has not been able to refine a drop of oil till today. °¶ NNPC, headed by Mele Kyari (a Fulani) and with 90% of the work force being Fulani has not overseen refining a drop of oil for 7 years but have been paying salaries for works not done. Meanwhile they keep declaring loss month after month. And they are arguing that lecturers should not be paid for works not done during the strike. I could go on and on. These are all government agencies and scams headed by a Fulani as the head. |

odimbannamdi:Nice one. But no fan?! While this being an improvement over the earlier model is desirable, I will say that the absence of a cooling fan is rather a step lower for a device with 190v VoC. The use of cooling fins in these things usually make the sizes larger than average and I'm not really a fan of that. The fans in the previous model is not known to fail prematurely, at least with experience for about three years now, and that fan does a pretty good job at keeping the device within operating temperature. So beyond the fact that this improved model has a claimed VoC of 190 (which may even be debatable) giving the fact that the previous model with a claimed VoC of 150v only allows around 125v in reality, I personally may not be too enthusiastic to upgrade to it. Perhaps the only things that may make me to be excited about upgrading to it from the existing working model that I have is if the VoC is around 250v and there is BT capability or remote monitoring capability. I also hope in this model they have addressed the incorrect current display problem of the old model. This is my personal opinion though. But for a fact, new entrants into the solar journey will do well starting with this new model especially if they can afford it. |
How come she isn't Fulani? Edited: I second-checked her name and indeed she is Fulani. No problem, everything ends by 2023. So they should just make sure they do last minute rush. kingphilip:. That's strange. I still used their virtual cards for purchase yesterday. I'm hearing this card cancellation issue for the first time. The only downside I've noticed from their side is the fact that transfers into your account there takes longer time to update unlike Barter that does within minutes. Also the fact that withdrawal from your dollar card feature is not available yet. Hence if yawa gas like it happened with barter, your money may not be reversed back to naira for you to japa. Because of this, I don't leave more than 20 usd on the card at any time. |
Babalegba:Sterling Bank àbí? Did you need to visit the banking hall to open the account? |
maballack:Is it possible to open an account there via their app? They (sterling bank) have scammed me twice before over the space of one year. Initially they called me from outta the blues that they want to introduce AltBank (AlternativeFinace, I think) to me, I requested that they call me back after working hours during which I used the opportunity to verify the authenticity of the call. They later called back as agreed, then I obliged them every info they needed to go ahead with the account openong. They gave me an account number within 24hrs and instructed that I should afterwards visit their branch to complete the process. At their branch I presented my Driver's licence and Nepa bill to compete verification but asked me to put 1k inside so that they'll be able to issue an ATM card. I transferred into that account number immediately before I departed the banking hall. A week later, they called me that it was difficult completing my verification process because of, as they put it, some information discrepancy on my driver's licence. This is the main document I used across several other bank account I operate so I don't understand what the fuss is about it. Besides they also had my BVN and NIN for further verification. They requested I give them another means of identification like International passport but I was not comfortable doing that since they have shown some measure of incompetency with using my drivers licence from the start. So I decided to jettison them. 6 months after, they again called me that my account has been inactive and that to ensure it does not go dormant, I should transfer a minimum of 1k into it. Haba, this is an account I was unable to operate because you said you couldn't complete verification. I sha transferred another 1k into it and got the alert of the credit. Then I decided to again physically visit the branch and demand for a card, but they told me that the only cards available for my type of account is verve card and would need some sort of upgrading in other to get a fully privileged account. Hah! Wàhálà dey o. Ńa so I vex comot again. Few weeks back when guys here said they allow 100usd forex transactions, I downloaded their "OneBank" app with the hope of kúkúma using my account online. I entered the account number as required to register as a new user and got the shocker: invalid account number response from the app! Ẹ gbà mí kẹ̀.. Okay, I bumped into another app of tbeirs called AltBank and decided to give that a shot. The reply I got was "profile exists on Altbank" and that was it. No further options to proceed with any other actions in-app. So wetin happen to the 3k wey don enter that account? Folks see me see trouble ó |
