Evidence1000:Indeed. Na dem dem. I also am not disappointed that it's the south west. But I just can't get this fact outta my mind: An erring Àjàyí Gbádégesin was tackled by a Babátúndé Ògúntemówo who even ensures that the former ends up in jail for his criminal acts. This action of citizens arrest and prosecution is what usually happens in that region. Should we then conclude that these south westerners hate 'emselves so much as not to even protect their own erring kinsmen from prosecution or from the law? Even here on Nairaland, you don't see them defend their kinsmen the moment he gets tagged a criminal, worse they take it upon 'emselves to rat on the individual, coarse him to report himself to the police or even deliver him to the authorities. So I asked a few people around. Why this kind of kindred spirit reigns supreme unlike what happens in other regions where they protect and defend their own when they commit crimes that is injurious to all and sundry. Here's what I found out from responses: * They cherish a good name and see such as worth more than silver or gold. So if their brother commits a crime and seems to refuse to change from the bad ways, they see such acts as injurious to every member of the society irrespective of tribe, tongue or religion. And in order not to establish their family as the harbinger of bad luck in the community, the erring child is let lose to the gods for punishment. They say, "if their kinsman deliberately consumes a bad insect and they refuse to warn him, sooner or later his chronic cough from the sickness resulting from such action will rob them of their much needed sleep in the dead of the night" Truth! |
macbeyland:A resounding àse (amen) to that. |
optimised:Please tell me. How is the shipping and delivery from these websites? Are they as easy as it is on AliExpress? |
Lstar4real: ceaser:Bro. Abeg don't leave me hanging on this. Don't do me strong thing. |
temitimx19:What evidence is that? I'm interested please. I also have some AliExpress refund monies pending. The problem is that I am not sure which if my banks I used to pay for the transaction. I will suppose your evidence from AliExpress have some form of information outlining the details of the debit card you used for the transaction. Please note that if the only evidence you have is your profile "order page" showing "awaiting payment" foe that item, that may not suffice. GTB will tell you to obtain a decline email or refund email from AliExpress which is what you will forward to GT to look into your issue. My own problem is that I don't even know how to get in touch with AliExpress customer care to obtain that. I've never encountered this issue before. |
Femich18:Well, the law states that it's a crime. A crime is still what it is - wrongdoing. And to those who said they are just poor and tired and want to leave this country, it involves entering other countries without proper identification and documentation. Perhaps you would have advocated freedom for Nnnamdi Kanu too since he also "stowayed" into Nigeria. Don't do the crime. But if you feel you are so stubborn and unreasonable that you have to do it, then better not break the 13th commandment - getting caught. |
EzeNri:Did you even read what you typed? Everything you wrote they is tantamount to disarming the house owner and arming the armed robber leaving the former at the mercy of the latter. But why should I be surprised? After all you are EzeNri. You will gladly support anything that threatens the entity called Nigeria. Sadly for you, it doesn't work that way. |
temitimx19:If it eventually happens that you were billed in error, you may need to complete a dispense error form. You will also be required to include the STAN number of the transaction which you can retrieve from the debit sms sent to you. It takes 15 days to process the request and have your account credited. GTB has been disappointing in automatic reversals these days. Even a thing as simple as ATM dispense error will entail you visiting their banking hall to fill that God forsaken form, then another 15 days wait. |
MrTruth4real:I pray they shall all be protected by some form of divine means. Only those that stirred the hornets' nest shall have the recompense, hopefully |

saintpn:Ahhh. My sisterly sister from another family. God bless you yanfuyanfu. I will contact you soon. |
But I wonder. What happens to those that'd been working tirelessly for 5 months without pay? They don't deserve any payment no matter how little right? How is Fáyòsé thinking? Okay I get it. He is tryna use division and rule. But they don't know that the way Fáyòsé dumped those who reached an understanding with him to work for 5 months without salary is the same way he will treat those saboteurs that choose to abandon ship for a month of "unsure" pay. They have survived for 5 months, so why sacrifice their struggle for better bargain with just a month's pay and at the expense of the generality of the work force? Pàsán tí a fi na ìyálé nbe l'ájà fún ìyàwó. (The same treatment Fáyòsé meted out to the majority that stayed with him for 5 months is what he will eventually do to the minority that has declared support for him for this month. |
temmyt20:Alright. I now get what you mean. |
seunajia:You forgot to mention Honda owning Acura. |
Jesusloveyou:Hmmm. I didn't even think of that. You just might have a point there. But wait, someone on this thread mentioned that the said property was sold by Fáyòsé to source funds for his upcoming guber campaign. If that's the case, then I don't think he can be accused of not declaring a property he does not own in the first instance. |
saintpn:Bro pleaaaaaaaaaase. Can I contact you? Not for forex purchase but for tutorial on Fiverr. Shey you go pick up my call? Na beg I dey beg o. |
#000000 |
macbeyland:Most likely. GTB show some level of liberty and sanity that are hard to come by in places like Zenith, Ecobank and UBA when it comes to forex policies. GTB credit my account with refunds according to their prevailing exchange rate. If it's gone up as at the time of refund, I make gains. If lower, well, no price in 9ja really comes down once it goes up. |
macbeyland:GTB issues MasterCard. There is a time delay of 24 to 48 hours for the transaction to be finalized culminating in the debiting of your account. With each use of the GT MasterCard, an instant SMS/e mail motidication of an "equivalent amount of dollars authorized for transaction" usually follows. The actual deduction in naira occurs a day after. You may still approach the desk CSR or preferably call their Custocare as you may have enough reasons to convince 'em and establish a case of "doctoring" as you put it. That being said, it is apparent Ecobank is a fraud and has been fraudulent since time immemorial. All refunds I got back into my account were apparently returned at an exchange rate far below the CBN 198/dollar rate, whereas when the transactions were conducted, the bank charged me at 230 NGN to the dollar. The closest notification to a refund I get is that of a charge on the money that is being returned to me, not the actual amount. These charges per refund include POS fee and VAT on POS fee. This appears to be a percentage of the refunded amount and it occurs on each of the refunds even if it is 50 cases of refunds. Meanwhile other banks, especially GTB and Stanbic are always explicit on the exact amount refunded into the account and without extra charges. Has anyone experienced this with Ecobank? How do you suggest I go about seeking redress? Painful part is that I use a number of banks for hundreds of such transactions, so it is even difficult to track all the ones conducted on Ecobank since unlike GTB or Stanbic or Heritage, they will not send a notification on the dollar amount authorized for transaction, just a naira equivalent days after.

computerboy: Does it even matter again? They've all gone rogue including the prized daughter Stanbic and the favourite son GTB. |
tumababa:Mstcheeeew. 325 abi? Issokay. Make dem dey chop their dollar themselves na. Stanbic too don dey flex muscle bah, joining the bad boiz? All useless and wherey 9ja banks. Make I go clear that my empty land. I wan go start plant some tomatoes, maize, okra and watermelon. Make I call for substitution go siddon for bench, waiting for the next match. I will be watching from the sidelines for now. I can't come and go and kee myself. |
It should be capital punishment to 'em all. Àwon wèrèy. |
Abeymills:Fáyòsé cannot be roped or indicted in these confessions. Best they can do is to invite him to SUBSTANTIATE that he truly sold the property in question. He invested in landed property and sold it to make immense profit, that could have been any Nigerian with foresight and the financial means to invest. He can even prove that he initially purchased the land for 5 million naira and that gained value over time to worth 650 million. It could have been me or you, you know. And to those who think he may be seen as part of the sharers of the arms money, you can't be more wrong. He has no dime to return to anyone. It is Alex Badeh that stole. He is the one that returns money. IamPatriotic:Toh. Thank you jàre. Simple property investment that paid off. As of now, if Fáyòsé has any case to answer, it'll be the Ekitigate. Peeps should stop being unnecessarily pedestrian just because they do not approve of the government of the day. |
TVTKOKO:More correctly, the average Yorùbá moslem (and Yorùbás generally) will stand against any injustice to anyone (themselves included) irrespective of tribe, tongue or religion. Summarily, humanity rather than religion, creed or ethnicity is the worthy cause when it comes to Yorùbá. |
pearlblunt20:Then he was being childish by demanding back that which he gave willfully and unconditionally. But guess what? You'd have played more mature by handing that back to him. Show him you didn't need it badly. Just remember to let him know that that attitude of his may never get him a good relationship with people generally. An adult should know when to quit, when to assert and when not to. If I were that guy, heaven knows I will never invest in that place where there is no ROI. I truss masef. By the way, what does your use of "you don baf" mean? Does it mean "chop craze" or what? |
Joel3:BH are terrorists and oh boy, they deserve to be treated as such. I did not support GEJ's plan to dialogue with 'em because that will be another conduit pipe to enrich a few like the amnesty did. Instead they need to be overrun and given a taste of their own medicine. I am not against that. So also no amnesty for anyone who tries to declare himself/herself enemy of the state. |
YorubaHighness:Not entirely so. Igbos are peace loving folks. She is just a dissident who has chosen to tow the inglorious path of hatred. It happens and it's allowed, for it is but a choice. Hatred albeit swallows those who nurture it, usually. |
Joel3:Like they dialogued with boko haram insurgents? I'm sure if the present government had toyed with the idea of dialoguing with BH, a precedent that must never be set, you'll be the first to cry foul. It's a good thing they were crushed to send home the message. Crude oil militants (who are terrorists as well) have been negotiated with by the Nigerian government before, a move that only cuts the foliage but not the roots, hence the resurgence of such in the name of NDA when it became apparent that free money in form of amnesty is no more. |
EasternLeopard:Apparently you know the in works of these decadents. So instead of gloating and being gleeful about the continued destruction of the country, why not do Nigerians the favour of fetching the real culprits? |
The correct is number plates, not the other way round. Mods should correct that error please. That error is still on the front page. |
Integrityfarms:Not that she is better in the real sense of it. A thief will always be a thief. However she has demonstrated her belief in a new dispensation of taking responsibility for her failings, if it eventually catches up with her. She stepped down. Now that is a rarity among Nigerian public officials. I can bet my right thumb that if this was the last dispensation, Nigerians woulda been given the middle finger on this. "I don't give a damn" "Abubarkar Bùkólá Sàràkí"? Do those ring a bell? |
baby124:I wish the spirit inside Ezekwesili and Akunyili (of blessed memory) will just get into Nigerian girls like this one, but no, they keep rejecting good things. Even if she is not moved by the sharing of the money, shouldn't she as a future mother get incensed at the politics of sharing money using hundreds of girls with no hope of seeing their families again. I pray oh Lord, let good guys not fall prey to fake beautiful ladies who are gremlins inside but angelic outside, who can not effectively contribute to making the lives of the good guys better thru thinking good policies as the "finance minister" of the family. |
