UGONNAM:That's noted. Thanks. But for your sake, a little more majoring on details rather than summaries, scanning or skimming during your heydays and even presently, in language acquisition and expression may have helped you cut down on needless errors. |
ilovetheline:What are you saying? Are you this poisoned that you will refrain to seek out the truth and enlightenment? Howbeit, you will enlighten me then; especially on the many "transgressions" of Adékúnlé that he deserves so much disdain from you, even down to his first and second offspring. |
jaytime:Whoa! You even delved into the finest details of the call rate discrepancies. You try o. But I think I'm gonna quit using them too. Yesterday I got a message from GTB end of month charge of 320 naira for "others" and bla bla. When I raised an eyebrow, someone told me it must have been charges of online credit recharge. And all these months, I thought there were no back charges on this thing. The retailers have won me back in this. |
raymond284:Had it been Nigeria, it woulda started from the point where some confused elements in his ethnic group welcoming him back with fanfare (e.g Bòdé George from prison, Alamieseigha from jumping bail in London), then defend with their last drop of block if he is declared wanted (James Ibori, 2011), then if and when picked up, crying witch-hunt (Sàràkí and Ekweremadu), and enemies trying to bring down an illustrious son (Dasuki, Audu Ogbeh et al), then rooting for his release and threatening to blow the country to hell and brimstone if that is not done with immediate alacrity (Nnamdi Kanu, Tompolo, ND governors) It's a seriously odd world back here. |
Benita27:Cele, their conviction. Paganism, your conviction. There is only so much you can do to change their mind. Religion and denomination are choices. Whoever in the name of religion indulge in acts that peg 'em against the law and they get manhandled, they shouldn't cry persecution. Reverend King comes to mind. But come to think of it o. Can these NSCDC peeps just do a commando entry into some mosque to save imprisoned child brides like that and still have their heads the right way on their necks? Hmmmm. Just thinking out loud sha. |
ranktzy:I sincerely don't think a reasonable government should muzzle any banks that wishes to go into any business, I mean any business so long as it is legit. It drives the economy, simple. The GTBank SMS MarketHub isn't entirely the bank's like that, rather it also operates like Konga et al, but this time on the platform of GTB. If you are a seller, you can register on that platform and the bank roll help you to launder tour image and the business. Your payment plans from your customer will be routed thru the bank's portal for easy transaction (like an escrow facility). You use GTB cards to do the purchase with serious ease. And I think the bank too can loan some money to some of the traders om the platform, just an assumption though. Meanwhile, there are people that also compete with banks in giving out loans and property acquisition, but somehow along the line, they need the bank to complete the chain of transaction. Ever heard of "Sharp-Sharp" before? They are groups originally formed by bankers who lost their jobs to bank mergers and acquisition. So called because they get to approve your loan with serious alacrity and "sharply" disburse same to you under 24 to 48 hrs as long as you meet the criteria to obtain loan. They charge percentage interest close to the banks and liaise with same to help in the deductions from source in the repayment of the debt. A number of people prefer 'em to banks. |
TheAlchemist:Not even banks alone, but also individuals moat especially politicians and those in positions of power. Uber came into the Nigerian business landscape just under a year ago. Meanwhile about ten years ago, there is a medical student who came up with the bright idea of a metro-taxi on call that will work effectively in a place like Lagos. He wrote his proposal and submitted same to some executive with the political might to push such vision. The poor guy was told right off that it was a project DOA. His mistake: He did not take back the proposal (booklets and all). A month later, a close relative of that politician started the business. Now in sane climes, you can have the man arrested and prosecuted but how far can you get with such in Nigeria. The US realises that the government cannot be the sole and strongest employer of labour, the private sector can. So they encourage young entrepreneurs to come forward with ideas. They are scrutinized and if found worthwhile, the government supports you all the way even with consultants. Just make sure you ain't doing it to elope with the monies else you risk going jail. |
supersystems:Let's look at it critically. How many Nigerians are banked and what percentage remains unbanked despite conscious campaigns at increasing awareness for banking? Definitely the latter is more (about 80%). Then look at the Mobile density coverage and penetration for the country (what percentage of the population uses the Global system of mobile communication). More people in the local areas remain unbanked and also have at least two SSIDs from the same or different GSM providers. They majorly load call credits from patronising the retailers. So on the overall, balance nay not have significantly tipped as it would appear to be in most developed cities of the country. I have my reason for retiring to online recharge from retailers. It's annoying when they always put 10 naira or 20 naira on any denomination of recharge you wanna buy. The first time I got mad with the salesgirl for doing such and refusing to reason with removing that in order to get more customers, I simply left her stall and strolled to the ATM opposite her stall. She saw me complete the recharge online and left. By the way, I haven't noticed any hidden deductions from online recharges on the GTBank *737* platform I use. It's only Heritage that has done me strong thing this past week by deducting 1k5 without crediting my line. I'm still doing the press-up for a robust response. Nonsense bank! |
0955eb027:It is already here. Ever heard of GTB's "SME markethub"? They showcase varieties like Jumia, Konga et al. |
Almajiri1:Yeah. Nothing wrong with making one or two jokes outta the situation. Or were you serious about that your comment ![]() |
UGONNAM:But some Yoruba dudes have taken up arms to avenge their kinsman, Ojo's death in the hands of an alleged Hausa guy na. So what else so you want? Mind you I am not in any way supporting brute force approach on this o. But you are clearly being hypocritical in your assessment and it is due to nothing other than your tribalized position and ethnic leaning. Believe me, that is the least of your problems. Maybe some scrutiny will give you a lil' bit of insight. The injured Customs officer (glad he didn't caput) will most likely be a non-Yoruba, more likely Hausa extraction but it does not rule out the fact that he could be a South Easterner who almost got killed - that could have been your kinsman, and you're all smiles, heh? Akiolu and some other Yorùbá elders should have encouraged further bloodshed, as I could infer from your position. Now if he ever makes such mistake, your likes will be the first to cry blue murder. And last I remember, you cheered Fáyòsé on when he declared literarily reprisal war on some herdsmen marauders. Oh I forgot he is anti-FG and your "role model" for the same reason, so forgive me. Akiolu made a gaffe with his "lagoon declaration" and while he may have made it from a brief moment of unguarded emotion, his rather "Trump-ish" approach was not spared by notable and well meaning Yorubas, I inclusive (although I enjoyed the hearty jokes made out of that Akiolu declaration o ). Mind you, such stance by the Yoruba intelligestsia against him was also not to indulge the excesses of Igbos that warranted such outburst from Akiolu in the first instance, rather such stance was a result of rule of law, freedom of association, freedom of existence and, please note this, moderation which are vital background elements of developed societies worldwide today. Note that similar issue of unwarranted territorialism almost got entrenched in Akure, Ondo state few months after when an attempt was made at installing a supreme Eze Nd'igbo in a Yoruba town with a reigning Oba. I mean, who does that?! Such brazenly preposterous act was rightly condemned by all and sundry, many reasonable Igbos inclusive. Also from my knowledge, Igbos are not always linked to violent crimes committed in Lagos, Hausas, most rightly are. Hence it is only natural for the reaction to be a direct, opposite and equal one - violence. Akiolu's was mere rethorics, and rightly so as a reaction to the events that spurred it. Lastly, I see the average Yoruba reacting equally to crimes or injustices against anyone irrespective of ethnic extraction, or even religious affiliation. "Badoo" the serial rapist and murderer brought down by Yorubas in Lagos is one example. One of his victims that was the last straw was not even Nigerian, but Ghanaian. An Igbo woman had once being his victim. And did you know he was Yoruba? Yeah, he was. What would you have alleged if he turned out to be Igbo and indeed committed those acts? I bet readers will have to live with your diatribes for weeks on end, maybe never ending. Ever heard of Colonel Fajuyi and Aguiyi Ironsi? Examples abound. Summarily, my epistle: In everything we do, let us put humanity first before ethnicity, race, tongue, political party or religion, even kith and kin. Things will be better with that arrangement. |
nnachukz:In Falz' voice? Oh no. Waz rong witu u? |
400billionman:Sarcasm nizzle puleaaaaase! You wouldn't recognize sarcasm if it was sleeping and waking up next to you daily. But I would also think your haste and inability to immediately recognise that was informed by your raging anger against those useless politicians. Abeg, biko, cool down. The useless bunch is not worth all those stress and elevated blood pressure. |
shammah1:Yeah. GEJ was blessed. And that was why budget padding and its endorsement by GEJ and implementation without questioning and scrutiny became a routine and pastime in his six years. Just a question for you: Nigerians left with the choices of GMB and GEJ as the only available and popular presidential candidates (note the use of the word popular, please), who would you rather Nigerians massively vote for? I won't hold brief for any politicians as of yet, especially Nigerian politicians for that matter. That is not my style. What I detest is when losers that have repeatedly flunked opportunities given to 'em tend to make people believe they would have fared better than another that have been given the same opportunity, most especially if such losers brought forth such problems in the first place. How else would you expect different result if you keep doing the same thing using the same person times over? |
kjsun15:He's Paperweight. What d'you expect? |
Paperwhite:Hey Paperweight, you actually got some likes from fellow Paperweight readers. Have you wondered what would happen if it were to be the past regime? Of course the padded budget woulda being signed with much fanfare, implemented and funds disbursed with same. That still transpires to free money for lazy butts that was the mainstay for six years of the previous government. The PDPians would definitely protect their own interests to the detriment of the tax payers, but this time around you have some apparently sane individuals who cried out (even if forced to do so due to a fallout of agreements) and you are here outlining your warped and sick ideology of some party causing the mess? Does corruption have a religion, belong to any race, political party or any ethnic group for that matter? That "C" word unites the various dumb personality diversities that make up governance in Nigeria, but you will rather pick up the fight against your fellow tax payers in their defence. |
seXytOhbAd: Take it easy man. Maybe on this one, you should let the sleeping dogs be. |
youngalex:Chop knuckle jàre. |
Stanley08:Ecobank no get rep na. I don jettison them since January when they do me strong thing. They begun charging me hidden amounts on online purchase transactions that had taken place months back. 4 naira here, 15 naira there, 35 naira in some instances. Multiples of those in tens of places. They called it POS charges, VAT on POS charges, VAT and "VAT on VAT", whatever that meant. Useless sombori. Useless bank.

Infinitikoncept:Thank you joor. Can you hazard a guess of what the approximate/average shipping price from the seller to your warehouse/address can be? |
Infinitikoncept: I almost called out to NL peeps to be their brother's keeper and help find missing brother when your moniker didn't come up as active on the thread for 72 hours. |
onexile:Whoa! And with 148 likes? That's a frightening huge number of unintelligent people (I used that word in trying to be conservative, but readers are free to substitute with theirs). This is appalling. |
worksmart:You'll need pylons and supports for an overhead structure like the bridge. These support structures need to have solid foundations from down up. I suppose that's what's in the picture. I'm not a structural engineer though, so I stand to be corrected. |
avicky:What are you being queasy about? ![]() Is it the opinion that he can give head or that he can give head to someone living with the virus? Well I wouldn't expressly advice a spouse not infected to go the length of oral 53x with an infected partner cos the risk is still there, no matter how slim. But hey, if they are both free or both infected, why not? |
Óyá Infinitikoncept, I just get your time now ![]() Please these ones (cost, Procurement, commission and shipping like you always break it down) http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Solar-Powered-Remote-Control-Used-Sliding-Gate-Operator-PY300DC-With-Back-up-Batteries/32615209329.html?spm=2114.13010308.0.68.2SDuOi http://www.aliexpress.com/item/DC-motor-battery-SLIDING-GATE-MOTOR-GEAR-DRIVE-SLIDNG-GATE-OPENER/32480147957.html http://www.aliexpress.com/item/DC24V-electrical-automatic-sliding-gate-opener-to-load-800kgs-steel-gate-90W-with-5m-steel-gear/32540827112.html http://www.aliexpress.com/item/DC24V-gear-drive-type-sliding-gate-opener-motor-PY300DC-with-inside-control-board-and-2pcs-remote/546401850.html?spm=2114.13010308.0.47.mSvjyA http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Waterproof-aluminum-body-6m-chain-automatic-electric-gate-operator-auto-gate-motor-500kg-engine/32656710539.html (24volts chain driven with interphase for solar) http://www.aliexpress.com/item/DC24V-electrical-automatic-sliding-gate-operator-to-load-800kgs-steel-gate-90W-with-4m-steel-gear/32539266808.html?spm=2114.13010308.0.62.mSvjyA Please note that the quotation of each item is to be treated differently as one item will eventually be the preferred choice. Princeofilorin: 1.5 million kwa? Aswear walahi, Stanbic I go debit your account por pipteen million pah! |
Osezzua:Fáyòsé has been barred from travelling. I'm sure the reason for that is very tenable. I don't see Anambra state governor or Lagos Ambode being denied clearance to travel based on inability to pay salaries or crises in their state. So please, at least let these governors know the import of peace and tranquility back home as a determinant of their own peace and freedom. Yorùbás have an adage: Ìròrùn eku n'ìròrùn eiye" Freedom and peace for the house rat is dependent on the satiation of the predator bird. He is not going on a working visit that may contribute to the growth in his state, but for lesser hajj! Who does that? In saner climes, a governor that fails his constitutional duty of payment of wages(if proven avoidable) will be impeached. But as the people are more or less disabled from doing that by weak institutions, please let the centre come to their aid. Cameron never even do reach 1/10th of this before he voluntarily tendered his resignation. |
Kassidy90:witch-hunt!!! |
Infinitikoncept:Mods. Pardon me for going off topic too. Infinitikoncept, I appreciate the response. I don't like all those "I-pay-you-ship-I-monitor" thing. It's complex and can create a lot of headache for, and distrust between sellers, logistics coy and the buyer. So whatever business I will do with you will involve you handling every step of the procurement: Payment, procurement, shipping and delivery. The only thing I may need to do is the sourcing of the item. So what d'you say? Please your contacts may suffice to avoid further incursion on this thread. Or we continue on that thread you are active on (though created by proxy): ORDER FROM USA, CHINA AND DUBAI WITH FAST DELIVERY - in Technology Market |
mondob2k:You think this amounts to a breach in the freedom of movement? What about his breach of trust and his trample upon the rights to live and right to livelihood of his state workers? When Fayose was barred in like manner due to alleged corruption scandal, some groups of people shouted witch-hunt of the only voice of opposition left. Bello, an APC governor has decided to owe workers' salary. Apparently the FG sees no reason why this should be so going by the monies and monthly allocations accrued to the state. A leader should solve problems, especially those created by his carelessness, not run away from it. The presidency wishes to enforce a governor in their party to do the right thing - paying workers' salary rather than his no work, no pay rule. No pay, no travel. |
cokoduck:Careful scrutiny will reveal the issue of anticipatory asset declaration, especially if the date of purchases of those properties are sought. Oh, I forgot one of the houses was said to have been bought about three months after he got the COAS position. The second house also needs investigation. And sincerely, I think Buratai needs serious explaining to do. But first he needs to stand down/step down as a first declaration of support for the anti-corruption stand of the government he works with and believes in. Then let the EFCC do its unbiased job. No one I a sacred cow. But will the EFCC giddy up on this? Time will tell. Since the PDP has failed to recover from her self inflicted damage and coma, I only hope that another viable and trusted opposition will arise before 2019, get voted for, and put all those currently in government that may have escaped objective scrutiny on trial. By the time this cycle gets repeated in one decade, the number of corrupt politicians will have reduced by 80% and the number of the anticipating or prospective corrupt among our youths will have been reduced to the barest minimum. |

They are good at chaining there members and flogging them with whips, all in the name of casting out some demons in them.
I've never had faith in APC as a whole. Buhari & Tinubu are cursed. I wonder why zombies can't wake up
