DestinationCann: Hello everyone, please how much is the recent transmission fee for children passport submission?
Bosses in the house, please help. Justmellow Scott99tish Is it any different from what adults pay? I believe it's N9,410. That's the current amount. |

DestinationCann: Any idea what the flight reschedule policies are? From what I saw on Travelstart, it attracts an amount at the point of booking to be able to do that. If you select it, an amount is added to your booking total and you will be to reschedule or cancel without loosing all of your money. |

No one is responding. I want to assume that you meant you did upfront medical on 31st of March not 31st of May as you have written here. I think you should just keep sending your upfront medical slip via email till they update it. |

Chyigb: Good morning I'm new to nairaland & just joined the forum.
Please I'd appreciate response from people with similar experience, I got refused on my 1st application(Study permit) with my kids in Sept 2021(insufficient funds). I reapplied alone 31st Jan 2022 & got Medical request from IRCC on the 16th of March and it was updated to passed on the 29th of March and no word from them since then. It's making me anxious & wondering what could be responsible for the delay as I noticed that most people get response a week or 2 after medical is sorted.
Thank you Don't worry yourself, it will come. Could be this Tuesday' or Thursday . IRCC can't be predicted in its entirety. Some people's PPR can take up to 3 weeks after a requested medical is passed. So don't stress. Unless you are resuming in May in which case you can send them emails and web form as others have been doing. |

buckyfof: Guys, what is really happening?
Sometimes it feels like they have taken a break no one knows about.
The same people we see everyday waiting for a response are the same people still waiting day by day.
I don't even think mails work anymore. Webform is just formality at this point.
Most people will be resuming spring next month and they have no clue about what stage their application is right now.
At this point, pray silently, fast and hope for the best.
It's better for them to take time and be approved than for them to rush your app and be denied.
It will end in praise for everyone waiting. I kinda feel feel there will be a avalanche of PPR tomorrow or next week Thursday. |

lilangel20: How about if it is a reapplication and it was stated that your prior travel history is insufficient to weigh in as a positive factor. How do you tackle this since you have no travel history Same thing applies. Just focus on tackling the other negative factors the VO identified. Travel history is just one thing and you are not going to manufacture it over night unless you have money to quickly go to Dubai, spend a few days there and return to apply but I don't think it is necessary even though a friend of mine is currently doing this before submitting his application. There are many other factors that needs to be address to land this PPR as we all know and you can just focus on that. |

Gift212: Stamped Passport has arrived (sent to abuja on the 4th, had a little hiccup, finally got delivered on Thursday the 7th. Sent back yesterday the 11th). LOI dropped an hour or so after I received the delivery. Congrats Gift. I should have sent my passport to Abuja o. I sent to Lagos because I thought "what's the rush?". Now VFS Lagos has not even sent any mail to acknowledged receipt or status even though DHL delivered it yesterday. |

Chubbyface: Abeg what reasons can someone give in not having a travel history abroad. I don tire to dey think of why I never travel before I'm guessing this is for your Visa application SOP. If you don't have travel history, then don't talk about it. You don't have to be looking for what to write to defend why you haven't travelled before. Rather highlight and hammer into the attention of the VO what the strong points of your application are. Someone with travel history posted their GCMS notes recently and the VO refused their application stating that even though their travel history is a positive factor in their application but when weighed against the negative factors in their application, it doesn't hold water. So focus on the strong points you have. There's always a first time travelling out for everyone and not everyone will have travel history before applying to Canada. |

Daslimo: Thank you for your response. Actually, my SOP talks more about my background, motivation for a PhD, my intended research area, why I chose Canada, and my post-study plans. Is it wise to include in the SOP that I have attached land documents, NYSC, vaccine cert, police clearance, academic records, IELTS, academic reference, ID Cards, family tree... can you please guide me?
Do I need to add an LOE? This is my first attempt. You should talk about your home ties and how you intend to fund your study. You could attach an appendix of supporting documents you are attaching at the end of the letter in the order you are attaching them or do a table of content. All these is just to make it easy for the VO to read through your application. You could as well just write your SOP and attach your supporting documents without doing any table of contents or appendix. Your application will still be read through by the VO. When I say SOP/LOE, it's just semantics to me. The IRCC website calls it LOE whether it's your first time or you are reapplying but I realized a lot of people online believes SOP is for first timer and LOE is for reapplication, hence why I did SOP/LOE as I don't know your situation. So you are good with your SOP, you don't need to add an LOE. |

Daslimo: Abeg house, I am on the verge of submitting my application online.
So far, I have attached all the IMM documents and relevant supporting documents; however, I am concerned about attaching the following documents in addition: 1. Letter of explanation of all supporting documents (is it necessary?) 2. Tax certificate 3. Affidavit of return.
Can a GURU in the house advise me? I have a full scholarship, a very good self-sufficient bank statement, and 3 land documents (family-owned) so I'm wondering if I need those documents mentioned above. Thanks in advance I don't think it's necessary to submit letter of explanation for all supporting documents as long as you have written your general SOP/LOE for your application. It's in your SOP/LOE that you should point the attention of the VO to the supporting documents to back up whatever claims you are making. You can add the other two if you have them already. |

Calm down, eat and always be alert to pray. Whatever you believe in, just always pray. There are human factors and impressions involved in this thing as the VOs are humans. Start weighing options just in case the PPR doesn't come before the end of April, whether to defer or start online if your school provides that option. That way you have a plan in place and that should reduce your anxiety nk20: Please who is in the same situation with me? Submitted application 23th January Upfront medical Biometric completed February Eligibility review started 24th March No news again since then School resume 9th May
Please I just need someone to be calming me down I can’t even sleep or eat again |

But if your answers to the questionnaire brought out Study permit for your son, just maybe that's what you need for him. I've read somewhere on the Spousal open work permit thread that you don't actually need an admission for your 4- year old to submit his study permit. You might wanna check that out if you want. Gokoyer1401: No, I dont have any admission letter for him but he will need to attend pre-primary school in Canada. Is it suppose to be visitor visa despite the fact that he will live in Canada for 2 years? |

I didn't defer o. I applied for fall admission. You will never catch me dead applying for any other resumption that isn't fall and I always start the year before. Na just my own personal principle. If you feel you can finish preparation to travel within two weeks, I will say you should wait and see if your PPR will drop this week. I have a feeling plenty more PPR will drop this week on this thread. Otherwise defer. I personally no too like to dey rush this kind thing. kinkyhead: Baba God abeg o. My ppr this week is certain. Program begins on 9th May, do you think i could have time to prepare if ppr lands this week or i should just kukuma defer to fall? Like you deferred too. Pls advise |
