The yellow card was given to me by EgyptAir alongside with my boarding passes., told to fill it and drop it with immigration. There were no requirements. Don't sweat it, it's nothing to worry about. It will be given to you at the airport. dbeautyful: 1 Like |

Landing Gist - Lagos to Toronto Via EgyptAir. August 9 - 10, 2022. LAGOS AIRPORT I got to the Lagos Airport around 8:30am. My flight was for 2pm. I had to give the security guys at the entrance 1k for them to allow my people go in with me. After my luggages went through the scanner, I gave the immigration officers that were suppose to do manual check after the scanner 1k so l can move on. Then I proceeded to Agriculture where I opened one of the luggage that had some food item for them to check. They checked and told me to go. Then I proceeded to EgyptAir stand. EgyptAir didn't start on time for us because there were some Nigerians going on pilgrimage to Jerusalem via Egypt that they were attending to. They were the majority on our flight to Cairo. Anyways, by 10am I had cleared the EgyptAir check and checked in my bags. They weren't overweight. They asked for ArriveCan, Acceptance Letter, Enrollment Letter and School Fees Receipt. By 10:30am, my people left and I proceeded to immigration. I was given yellow card by EgyptAir which I filled and I dropped with the immigration officers. Then I proceeded to the scanner where we will drop our carry on bags, laptops, phones, keys etc in a bowl to pass through the scanner. Now, I had the scariest moment of my life at this point. I shared this experience with family members only before now. I decided to share with you guys so you can learn from the experience. Always hold your Passport with you! At the point of the scanner the immigration officer there asked us to put all our things in the bowl including our passport. It was just me and one Arab guy, possibly Lebanese. He could speak Yoruba and was dashing immigration guys money. So we placed our things in Separate bowls and I went ahead through the scanner but he didn't go through the scanner. The immigration officer asked him to come and he did manual check for him and he let him go. So I exited the scanner to go collect my things. I wore my shoes, picked up my glasses, phones, wallet and Passport. Passport? My passport with the boarding pass was no where to be found. It was missing! At that moment, it felt like my world has ended and that village people caught up with me. I was in disarray and I started shouting. In the process of shouting, I kept saying it was me and the Arab guy that came to that point together and now my Passport is missing. One of the senior immigration officers approached me and asked me which guy. I turned round and and pointed at him just before he exited that place and be gone forever! The officer approached him. I don't know what he told him because I wasn't looking as I was still in disarray and lo and behold, my Passport and boarding pass resurfaced! The excuse I got is that he also has a Nigerian Passport and he mistakenly took mine. Yet his own passport was still with him. I don't buy that story but all good. God saved and delivered me already. I collected my Passport and left. Whew! All through the rest of the journey, I held my Passport with me till I exited Toronto Pearson Airport in Canada. CAIRO AIRPORT. We got to Cairo around 9pm Cairo time which is 8pm Nigerian time. The Airport is bigger and finer than MMA. A bus took us to Terminal 3 and it was a long walk combined with lift and escalators to get to gate F where will be boarding to Toronto. We waited around for another 3 hours before we started boarding and took off to Toronto around 2am. They only checked our passport, boarding pass and ArriveCan here. I showed them theArriveCan receipt on the phone as the lady in Lagos had taken the only copy I printed. It was a smooth 11.5hrs journey to Toronto. The plane is alot bigger than the one that took us from Lagos to Cairo. Comfy ride all through. TORONTO PEARSON AIRPORT We landed in Toronto around 8am Toronto time. Now, this airport is huge. And fine and well layed out. The walk to the self service kiosk is also long but we got there. I had done my declaration ahead in the ArriveCan, so I was pretty quick at the service kiosk. I scanned my Passport, machine took my photograph and printed my receipt. We were taken to the place where will collect our study permit. Our letter of Introduction was collected and we were told to sit down. They called us one after the other. You will enter the office, the border officer will collect your passport, check your info on the system, check your visa and stamp your passport. Then your study permit will be given to you. No questions asked. I proceeded to baggage claim. When I got there, I asked one of the officers which carousel could be carrying the baggages from EgyptAir because the carousels were so many that I didn't want to be going one by one to check. He asked his colleague on his walkie talkie. He said Carousel 7, I went there. Found my bags in 7 and then in 6. Took the train within the airport to get to Terminal 3 where the car that came to get me was parked and I was on my way. FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT ON THE FLIGHT. The food was Okay. Although the Rice, chicken and sauce from Cairo to Toronto was better than Lagos to Cairo. They served us twice Lagos to Cairo and 3 times on the flight from Cairo to Lagos. I filled my time with movies that I haven't watched before. And then a little sleep, a little prayers here and there and I didn't feel bored on the flight till we got to Toronto. It was a great journey in general. I haven't gone out yet as I only arrived yesterday and I'm still on my bed right now. It's around 8am here. But from our drive from the airport to home, I will say Canada is beautiful. May all of us that desire it experience it all in Jesus name. PS: Don't forget to come with your universal adapter. The picture attached is what their socket looks like. Buy the one that has USB port with it. It's about 4k. Have a great day you all! 73 Likes 3 Shares

greeners222: What's the reason for waiting to get your Passport back before buying your ticket? It will take about 15 working days(Maximum) for you to get your Passport back if you sent to VFS Lagos. So just book your flight with that knowledge. Don't wait for flight ticket to get further ridiculous before booking. |

LONG POST - sorry in advance guys. Showyoung, The only reason I have chosen to comment on your post is so that newbies can make up their mind whether they should trust that you are competent or experienced enough to handle their applications. Did you ever wonder how some people were able to guess that you are the one Only1boy was referring to without him mentioning your name? It's because your posturing as an expert is glaring for experienced and discerning mind to see. And they could see from your posts that you're hustling to be an agent and make money off people on this thread. YOUR HISTORY I dug into your history on Nairaland. You joined nairaland in 2020. Precisely the express entry thread, seeking advice on your express entry profile submission. Then in July last year, you moved over to the Study Visa thread (understandably so, since FSW draws were on hold since December 2020). You wanted to apply for a diploma course when you already have an MBA and you were worried if it will be red flag for the VO. Then silence. Then you resurfaced on this thread in March of this year asking another newbie question about whether your POF is enough or so, stating you got admission at Fanshawe college. Through out the month of March, it's one newbie question to another from you. Then suddenly you became an expert pointing people to your signature that they can reach out to you and you can help them with their application. Credit to you, this was after you have started answering basic regurgitated questions for newbies. Your knowledge and experience gap has shown a couple of times but you have argued your way blindly out of it. That's your history. WHAT I FIND FISHY ABOUT YOU Truth be told it is not uncommon and not a crime for someone to join the thread as a newbie and then a couple of months down the line, they are knowledgeable enough to answer questions and help people because they read the thread diligently. But what I find fishy in your case includes the following: 1. You see all those newbie questions you were asking throughout the month of March? You have deleted them all and replaced them with funny stuff like "fkj", " hello", "Good morning". Almost like you were trying to wipe out that part of your history. What you didn't know is that if anyone were to use the search bar to search for your username, it will bring out your mentions where people answered those your newbie questions and the questions will still be there. Why did you delete those your newbie questions? Is it that you want to posture as an expert and you don't want newcomers to know that you were a newbie just a few months ago? 2. You were the only one who claimed that you paid for your application in Naira and that there was naira equivalent showing when you wanted to pay for your visa application. The mentions where people were asking you how you paid in Naira is still there even though you have now deleted the post where you claimed you paid in Naira. 3. You said you used an agent to submit your application and he tried to Lord over you and you cleverly collected your login details and locked him out of your application. I want to ask how far with this application? Is it now successfully completed? Because I'm curious as to how you became so confident to want to become Visa agent when you don't even have a single testimonial of Visa success even if it's your own? I would have thought that for someone who is hustling to Japa, securing their own Visa first would be a priority and they can then use that as a testimonial to help people and maybe exchange that knowledge and experience for money if they please. But with you, it's one month you were a newbie and the next month, the hustle for money as an expert has started. CONCLUSION On your dealings with Only1boy, assuming your claims about asking you to falsify documents for him were to be true, one would expect that you would count your blessing (after all, you've collected 100k), and wash hands off him and his wahala. But you were still heckling him for a balance when no application was submitted for him, claiming intellectual property. You probably should go and research into what intellectual property is. For any newbie that might read this, again I say read this thread and the IRCC website diligently and you will be good to apply by yourself but if you're busy or overwhelmed to apply by yourself then use people that has been verified by their testimonials on this thread. If you read through the thread a bit, you will find them. ShowYoung: 46 Likes |

So you are not going to name the person? You want other unsuspecting newbie to fall victim? This is my opportunity to say it again - you don't need anyone to submit this application for you. Read this thread and the IRCC website diligently and you will find all the information you need to apply successfully by yourself no matter how complex you think your situation is. But if for any reason you are overwhelmed to apply by yourself then use people that has been verified by their testimonials on this thread not some dude that showed up this year to start posturing like he's knowledgeable about Canada visa application. Person wey never complete one successful application for themselves or anyone for that matter wan begin dey guide newbie. No be like blind leading the blind be that? By the way ignore the threats. He's just bluffing to cower you into silence and pay the balance. Only1boy: 2 Likes |

Teemie22: I don't know if you've gotten response but my opinion is that it doesn't matter either ways whether you inform them here or when you get to Canada. What I believe is important is how well you convinced them when you are applying for her SOWP that you got married to her after you got your study visa and that the marriage is genuine and not an arranged one. What this means is that beyond the marriage documents and pictures that you will submit, you will have to show proof from way back before you got your study visa that you guys have been in relationship before your study visa. This might include showing chat records and anything that just shows that you've been together for a while. This is what I think is important. Await the gurus you mentioned to give you a better perspective if they haven't already. 2 Likes |

1. Don't worry about the biometrics. That is what it's going to show till your application is completed since you have a valid biometrics from 2018. 2. Payment of the balance of your school fees for the year is something that can enhance your application, so you should definitely update your application with the receipt. 3. To be honest this is a decision you are gonna make by yourself. I do not think informing them of your admission in the UK changes anything with IRCC. You should just keep sending them those emails that could probably expedite action from them and hopefully final decision comes before July 31st. Abi2022: 1 Like |

Ligxy: Sis, read the content of this link, you will find your answer there: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/change-schools.html Key things to note is that If you are changing school, you have to inform IRCC and you need to be enrolled and actively studying in your current school before you can change to another one. 1 Like 1 Share |

bbwollex: If you cancel the card, it will fund your naira wallet with the equivalent amount in naira but of course at a lower rate than what they charged when you were funding the dollar card. You can now create and fund another card. I don't know if that's the cause, but just suggesting it to see if it will work. Often times, restarting or resetting is usually a good troubleshooting method when it comes to technologies. That's what I'm suggesting. |

bbwollex: Are you sure you funded it with the right amount? It's possible the amount you funded is not up to the dollar equivalent of the Canadian amount you want to pay. If you just created the card, they usually charge about 2 dollars for the card creation, so you have to factor that into the amount you fund the card with. |
