The mother of the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Sani Lulu, was on Monday night released by her kidnappers at Ogbulafor in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Abdullahi Magaji, who spoke to reporters in Lokoja on Tuesday, said the old woman Alhaja Laruba Abdullahi, was abandoned at the place by her captors. Narrating her ordeal, Laruba said the kidnappers neither molested nor treated her badly. She said her meal throughout her period in the kidnappers’ den was a loaf of bread, which she was given daily. She said, “It was around 5pm (on July 12) while I was at home that some strangers invaded my house and took me away. When we got to a bushy area, the people blindfolded me.” “I cannot say the exact area I was taken to, but one thing I noticed is that I was kept in a dark room. “I was fed with loaves of bread throughout but they did not maltreat me at all. I only found myself at Ogbulafor around 10.30pm on Monday. While speaking on the issue, the Kogi State Police boss said that an informant on Monday afternoon told him on the telephone that the old woman had been abandoned at a location. He, however, explained that he instantly told the informant that police were not ready to part with any ransom except what he described as “information money.” Magaji stated that immediately he got the information, he dispatched men from the anti-terrorism unit to the spot, adding that after combing everywhere at Ugholawo in Ofu Local Government without success, the woman was later found at Ogbulafor by a police inspector on Monday night. He commended his colleagues in the Enugu State Police Command, saying that no ransom was paid to get the old woman released. http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art201007211421884 |
italo:Don't says every christians agreed with jesus as a god some were not believed with him as a god and the bible made it clear that at times of weakness angels strengthened Jesus;however, God does not need to be strengthened. Luke 22:43 “An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him [in the garden of Gethsemane].” Men need to be strengthened; God does not because God is All-Powerful.If Jesus had to be strengthened, he must not be God.However,i would like to have your evidence for the above qoute. |
Jesus, on whom be peace, believed in this, for he also stressed it in Luke 4:8. And Jesus too fell on his face and worshipped God (see Matthew 26:39). Jesus worshipped God (see Hebrews 5:7). Jesus will remain forever subservient to God (see 1 Corinthians 15:28).The evidance provided here were qouted from the bible, however, let someone proof me with the above verses wrong. |
The disciples prayed to God just as they were commanded by Jesus in Luke 11:2, and considered Jesus to be God’s servant. The Bible says that Jesus was God’s servant, chosen one, and beloved.Mattew 12:18 “Behold, My servant, whom I have chosen, in whom My soul is well pleased. Why all this conflict while it was decleared by the gospel jesus is not god and not to be god forever. |
Al-kahf, The CAVE. Chapter18- verse33, { كِلْتَا ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ آتَتْ أُكُلَهَا وَلَمْ تَظْلِم مِّنْهُ شَيْئاً وَفَجَّرْنَا خِلالَهُمَا نَهَراً } Each of the two gardens (kiltā, ‘each [of the two]’ is a singular [noun] that indicates a dual [number]; and [the entire clause] is the subject) yielded (ātat is the predicate thereof) its produce, its fruit, without stinting, diminishing, anything thereof. And We caused a stream to gush forth therein, to run through them. |
Not reciting Al-Faatihah in the salaah; The recitation of Al-Faatihah is a pillar (rukn) and the salaah of whoever does not recite it is void. This is according to the Prophet’s (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) saying: Whoever makes a salaah wherein Al-Faatihah is not recited then it is khidaaj (miscarried) - and he repeated it three times – incomplete. [Muslim from Abu Hurairah] Also reported in the two saheehs is the hadeeth from ‘Ubaadah Ibn Saamit (radiallahu ‘anhu) marfoo’an (attributable to the Prophet,(sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam): The salaah is null for whoever has not recited the Opening of the Book. In another wording from ‘Ubaadah: Could it be that you recite behind your imaam? We said: Yes. He said: Don’t do so except with the Opening of the Book (Al-Faatihah) for the salaah is null of whoever does not recite it. [Ahmed, Abu Dawood, At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Hibbaan. This is evidence of its obligation for the follower. Recitation of the follower is absolute or in the aloud prayers as opposed to what is long known. Whether the recitation of Al-Faatihah is absolute or just in the prayers recited aloud is an old difference of opinion among the scholars. Is it waajib or dropped? The majority of scholars (al-jumhoor) say it is dropped however doing so is more clear from possible error and more precaution for deen. Most of those who have the opinion of it being dropped say that it is nevertheless desirable to recite it. |
It is obligatory for the praying person to follow the imaam completely without preceding him or lagging behind him in any rukn (pillar) or more.Allah knows the best. |
Salam, Lack of proper reverence and humility (khushoo’) in the salaat and excess movement therein. The place of khushoo’ is in the heart and it is evident in the tranquility of the limbs and humility before Allah. Allah has indeed praised His slave by His statement: Those who offer their salaah with all solemnity and full submissiveness. [Al-Qur’aan 23:2] As well [He has praised] the prophets by his statement: Verily they used to hasten on to do good deeds and they used to call upon Us with hope and fear, and used to humble themselves before Us. [Al-Qur’aan 21:90] It is incumbent. The limbs of the slave in prayer should be still and his heart should be solemn until he may be rewarded for his salaah. It is narrated on the authority of ‘Ammaar Ibn Yaasir (radiallahu ‘anhu) he said: I heard the messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) saying: Verily a man leaves after completing his prayer and nothing has been written for him except a tenth of his salaah, a ninth, an eighth, a sixth, a fifth, a fourth, a third, or half of it. [Abu Dawood, An-Nisaa’i, and others and it is an authentic hadeeth] The reason for the shortcoming in its reward is the lack of khushoo’ in the heart of the one who prays or in the limbs. |
Allah is the greatest and for Him everything is possible. |

A BABY boy has left doctors baffled after passages from the Koran were found on his skin. The parents of nine-month-old Ali Yakubov were stunned when the word Allah appeared on his chin soon after his birth. Since then scores of writings in Arabic script have emerged on his back, arms, legs and stomach. Amazingly his family claim the old markings vanish before the new words arrive — twice a week. Medics say they cannot explain his mysterious condition — but deny that the marks are from someone writing on the child's skin. His mother, Madina, said that she and her husband were not religious until the words started appearing on his skin. Initially they did not show anyone the unexplained scribbles, but eventually revealed them to their doctor. Now the boy has become a focus of Muslim homage in his troubled home province of Dagestan, close to war-ravaged Chechnya in the south of Russia. Local MP Akhmedpasha Amiralaev said: "This boy is a pure sign of God. Allah sent him to Dagestan in order to stop revolts and tension in our republic." The tot's mother said: "Normally those signs appear twice a week - on Mondays and on the nights between Thursdays and Fridays. "Ali always feels bad when it is happening. He cries and his temperature goes up. "It's impossible to hold him when it's happening, his body is actively moving, so we put him into his cradle. It's so hard to watch him suffering." |

Jesus was limited in performing miracles. One time when Jesus tried to heal a blind man, the man was not healed after the first attempt, and Jesus had to try a second time (Mark 8:22-26). Mark 5:30 “At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, ‘Who touched my clothes?’” Mark 6:5 “He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.” Quite obviously, someone with such limitations can not be God. The power of miracles was not within Jesus. jcross19: |

The pastor in charge of Arise and Shine Church, Owo, in Ondo State, Rev. John Adeniyi, has been arrested by the police for allegedly buying a Hyundai Accent car believed to have been stolen from the owner. The alleged seller of the vehicle, Mr. Seyi Oluwadayomi, was also arrested on Wednesday by the Owo Division of the state police command. The Commissioner of Police in charge of the state command, Mr. Magaji Nassarawa, told journalists in his office on Thursday that the pastor claimed to have met Oluwadayomi at a crusade sometime this year in Owo. Nassarawa said the cleric also confessed to have bought the car for N335,000 from Oluwadayomi. He said the Hyundai Accent car with registration number Rivers AG 971 KPR, a Ford Expedition XLT marked Lagos DN 875 LSD, and another Nissan Primera without registration number, were also found in the suspect’s possession. Speaking with journalists, the pastor claimed that Oluwadayomi presented himself as a true believer in the church, who could be trusted. He said, “I met him (Oluwadayomi) in the crusade ground. I never knew he was into this kind of ugly business. He told me that he usually travelled abroad to bring in cars for sale in Nigeria. “In fact, he was a strong member of the church and he played prominent roles during the crusade organised by the Pastor Adenuga’s church in Owo. I never knew he was into this type of ugly business.” Oluwadayomi claimed that he was a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, where he bagged a degree in Accounting in 2001 before he travelled abroad in 2004. The suspect said he returned to the country 2007 to set up a business. He said, “When I returned to the country, I was duped to a tune of N7m in 2007. I then started searching for a good job but all efforts I made to get a job were futile, hence, I decided to start this business (of selling stolen cars). “I had wanted to travel back to Europe but there was no money. I had only made N620, 000 from the two cars I sold since I started the business.” Meanwhile, Nassarawa said the two suspects would soon be charged to court. http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art201007091252525 |

DURBAN, South Africa – Perhaps it’s just as well that Lionel Messi has gone back to Argentina already. That way he doesn’t have to watch his status as the world’s best player get ripped away by one of his closest friends. Non-soccer fans probably haven’t heard of Xavi Hernandez. The Spain midfielder doesn’t lead a celebrity lifestyle or follow the underwear-modeling path of soccer superstars Cristiano Ronaldo or David Beckham. He won’t be the most high-profile player in Sunday’s World Cup final against the Netherlands after helping Spain sink Germany in Wednesday’s 1-0 semifinal victory. He won’t even be the most famous player on his own team. More World Cup Stories Blame for French collapse put on coach English star voted ugliest player in world More From Martin Rogers Charter jets cause airport chaos jul 7, 2010 German coach: Spain will win final jul 7, 2010 ADVERTISEMENT And yet, the man simply known as Xavi is the finest soccer player on the planet right now and the most accomplished performer at this World Cup. Ahead of Messi. Ahead of Ronaldo. Even ahead of his Spain teammate David Villa, who has scored five goals to Xavi’s none in South Africa. Xavi and Messi are club teammates at Barcelona in the Spanish league, and it’s the little Argentinean who is routinely afforded the lion’s share of attention. Messi’s tricks, flicks and lightning feet grasp the focus of fans and opposition alike. But at this tournament, Xavi has raised his game to another level while still showing all of the facets that have made him Europe’s most productive midfielder over the past few seasons. With Messi, and especially Ronaldo, the brilliance is there. It’s right in your face, and you can’t miss it, not with the jukes and turns and permanent reminders of their soccer artistry. With Xavi, you have to look more closely. He enjoys a bit of fleet-footed trickery too, but only when it serves a purpose. Much of what he does is simple. All of it is ruthlessly effective and beautiful in its own way. Like with the corner kick from the left that produced the only goal of a cagey semifinal. Some players hit and hope or aim for an area. Xavi drops it in on a dime. Or, on this occasion, the advancing head of Carles Puyol. Then there was the move Xavi pulled off late in the second half when he leaped into the air and redirected a firmly struck ball through his own legs with his instep. An untrained onlooker could be forgiven for thinking he had started showboating, especially with his team a goal ahead. At least until they noticed that he had sent the ball straight into the path of Villa, who should have gone on to score. Award-winning British soccer writer Ian Chadband called Xavi the “most under-appreciated genius in world sport” this week. But maybe, just maybe, the world is starting to catch on. Xavi was given the man-of-the-match award on Wednesday night, an honor voted by fans around the world. Such awards have sometimes been unpredictable – Ronaldo won a couple of times during the tournament, even when he was far from the best player on the field. The fact that Xavi was given the award, despite not scoring or doing anything flashy, could mean he is starting to become appreciated at last. The fans are starting to get his genius. Germany certainly knows all about him now, after his midfield endeavors ruined its hopes of reaching the final. “Xavi is the center of Spain’s perfect spine,” said German coach Joachim Loew in the lead-up to the semifinal, while reflecting that it had been Xavi whose pass had set up Spain’s victory in the 2008 European Championship final. It was a spine that Germany could not break. It is a spine that facilitates Spain’s pretty face. And a spine that looks strong enough to support the World Cup trophy in a few days’ time. http://g.sports.yahoo.com/soccer/world-cup/news/move-over-messi-xavi-s-the-best--fbintl_ro-xavi070710.html |
