At the start of last season, it was Ando and Cleverley doing the business before Tom got injured.
I'd prefer Carrick over either of them though especially in the 'big' games for a better defensive cover.

I think Cleverley will be rested for a few weeks after the Olympics though depending on how far Team GB goes.

How was it a problem when we scored over 100+ goals in the season?
So because you are 2-0 up in 40 mins, in football, it automatically means you should win by 4/5 goal margin? Is this how you analyze footy?
Like someone said earlier, our PRIORITY should be tightening the midfield and defence.
The way teams were slicing through our midfield and exposing our defence last season was the worst I've seen especially at Old Trafford.
Sort out the major issues first.

I reiterate scoring goals has never been a problem for United over the course of a season.
All our title winning seasons recently had been built on solid defending. I remember a couple of seasons ago when VDS didnt concede for like 10 consecutve games - I cant say that about our defence now.

Sort out the defence and tighten up the midfield and we will be alright.
We have never had issues with scoring goals over the course of a season.
We scored over a 100+ goals last season so I'm not bothered about the attack.

Besides Rooney, we have never had any consistent goal getting striker since RVN and we have won several league titles with that.
Those season we won the title was due to our fist-tight defence and solid midfield.

Thank goodness some people are not in charge of team management/transfers at Old Trafford.
This is not Championship manager.
