The citizens of the federal Republic, the mighty and the low, are joined in their determination to see the back of Jonathan and the useless pdp. Nigerians are ready to make history, and the pdp will regret not dumping Jonathan for a better candidate from their ranks of which, there must be many. APC /GMB the red carpet is being cleaned, the reception committee is busy. Change is coming and very soon. #change #GMB #APC |
Change2015:http://m.allafrica.com/stories/200304150109.html/ In realizing that infrastructure development is the key-enabling environment for a country's sustainable growth, the PTF concentrated on providing facilities as backbone to developing other sectors of the economy. Of special importance were roads, agricultural input, water, and education. The various programmes nationwide were never designed to favour any particular geopolitical zone. That is why as at May 1999 out of the estimated N187 billion committed to all projects and programmes, over 56 per cent was allocated on projects in southern zones in the SouthWest, SouthEast and South South. In comparison, the Northern zone of the NorthWest, North Central, NorthEast shared the remaining 44 percent of the projects. The highest zonal contribution of 26.2 per cent to the south south was due to the difficult terrain, which made road construction more expensive. Because the people saw that the PTF regime was producing results, there was high expectation from every geopolitical zone. Everybody wanted a piece of the good action, which the government perhaps was not providing. |
makhez019:Lol, then we are in agreement. Nigeria is and will remain a secular state. P/s I'm not a Muslim but I'm certainly not a Christian bigot either! |
sufido123:Please understand denounce is not a synonym of renounce. That you understand his meaning does not make the usage correct! makhez019:Please note extract from the Nigerian constitution. . 262. (1) The Sharia Court of Appeal shall, in addition to such other jurisdiction as may be conferred upon it by an Act of the National Assembly, exercise such appellate and supervisory jurisdiction in civil proceedings involving questions of Islamic personal law. (2) For the purpose of subsection (1) of this section, the Sharia Court of Appeal shall be competent to decide - (a) any question of Islamic personal law regarding a marriage concluded in accordance with that law, including a question relating to the validity or dissolution of such a marriage or a question that depends on such a marriage and relating to family relationship or the guardianship of an infant; (b) where all the parties to the proceeding are Muslims, any question of Islamic personal law regarding a marriage, including the validity or dissolution of that marriage, or regarding family relationship, a foundling or the guardianship of an infant; (c) any question of Islamic personal law regarding a wakf, gift, will or succession Where the endower, donor, testator or deceased person is a Muslim; (d) any question of Islamic personal law regarding an infant, prodigal or person of unsound mind who is a Muslim or the maintenance or the guardianship of a Muslim who is physically or mentally infirm; or (e) where all the parties to the proceedings, being Muslims, have requested the court that hears the case in the first instance to determine that case in accordance with Islamic personal law, any other question. _______ Sharia is part of our constitution as you will observe, and Muslims living in lagos, enugu, onitsha, yenagoa or Kano may exercise their right to apply it in matters concerning Muslims. So how does that affect the non-Muslims? It is not even obligatory under the constitution for Muslims to use sharia. Your attempt to paint Buhari as what he is not is a failure because even Christians of good reputation such as Bishop Kukah of Sokoto have exposed the attempt to taint his reputation. The ThisDay link refuses to open, and the last one repeats the previous mischaracterisaions. What I honestly object to is the fact that a state of the federation can declare it's has a religion. Obasanjo was pdp president when that nonsense started and he declined to challenge that in court. Why? Playing politics with the future of Nigeria? Nigeria is a secular state under the constitution. Nothing Buhari has ever said, could be interpreted to mean that sharia law should or could apply to non-Muslims. Not even the links that post as evidence. |
makhez019:Your opinion cannot be presented as factual or true, so the challenge to produce evidence to back your claim stands! #change #GMB #APC |

When the pdp loses Rivers, they should rightly place the blame on pej who cannot mind her own business. Wike is a lout, and a loser. #change #GMB #APC |
You know the prez is a slowmo, is there anything he ever considers urgent, apart from trips to his German hospital? Whatever schemes they are considering, the will of the people is clear. Vote the bum out! #change |

temitemi1:Cattle as a collective noun, has no plural. Cattles ko, Cattles Ni... Chikena! |
Soldiers sentenced to death for mutiny. Soldiers being sacked from the army in secret trials, and yet no one wants to ask what is happening with the military forces? Not one Chibok girl located and recovered by the army and the majority of a state occupied the insurgents, with two state capitals under threat, and yet, guys will say all is well with the army? Bombings in multiple locations almost at will, and yet we don't ask what our many security services are doing to secure the citizens? Well done, this is how to progress, by not asking questions when things don't seem to be going right. |
Kai, after pdp don give her pikin job... Heya, sorry o jona, not everybody dey accept bribe to deny what is right and good. You have toasted in vain. Afenifere don collapse. #change #GMB #APC |
meforyou1:Cheap lie. The facts are out there about PTF projects and the East got its share. Abeg, if you say otherwise provide your evidence, or stfu. |
kestolove95:Abi! At least he will not be president red-eye, hangover merchant, drunk in charge... |
Ikengawo:A fool who is no student of history. Abraham Lincoln lost how many elections before becoming president of the USA? That's your homework. |
Afroconnect:I think she is probably richer than 95% of Nigerians. Remember how her friends caused that great newspaper Next24 to collapse after they has written several exposes on her before the last election. All their advertisers fled after being warned by government people. But that was all cool with Dr Jonathan. |
whiterock:Lagos was the first state to do ipp and obasanjo said the power supplied must go into national grid, not only for Lagos! Can lagos order fuel for its motorists, no that is federal government business. Can lagos even decongest apapa port that is causing misery to road users? Workers are paid from igr and the health sector and judiciary get an extra lagos bonus. All the so-called federal roads in lagos, who has been refurbishing them without refund? Please carry go, Lagos is working better than most of the country. |
On the challenges facing his government, he cautioned Nigerians to brace up to the challenges arising from the dwindling oil revenue, caused by the falling oil prices world wide. He revealed that having foreseen the ugly development he had initiated the move to improve the internally-generated revenue windows and has so far upped it from N500 million to N1,1 billion per month. The governor stated that his ambition was to ensure that internally generated revenue hits the target of five billion monthly, stressing that such an increment would be reciprocated with increase in the monthly wage bill of workers. He stated that the hope of Anambra State joining oil producing states under the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) could not be realized even with the pronouncement of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2013 that the State has become an oil producing State, saying it would only be possible if the production capacity of 55,000 barrel per day was achieved. Governor Obiano further disclosed that he had not abandoned any of the projects that were initiated by his predecessor in office and assured that he would execute all of such projects fully and to a successful end. http://thecitizenng.com/other-news/anambra-attracts1-65-bn-investment-as-oduah-heads-anambra-airport-project/ Try and understand the nuance in what the governor is saying. There will be challenges, but he is working to prepare for them. These are tough times so let's not pretend otherwise. |
Collynzo9:Don't be silly. We are talking about anambra state here. My point is simple. The income of the state is going to fall but it's responsibilities are likely to remain constant, or increase. It is deceptive for the governor to say there will be no impact. How that concerns Buhari or Jonathan is something your juvenile imagination should go play in the corner with. #fail |
makhez019:Let me enlighten you, child abuse happens everywhere http://ynaija.com/madness-man-arraigned-for-raping-sick-30-month-old-baby-in-lagos/ http://m.news24.com/nigeria/National/News/Over-500-child-defilement-cases-reported-in-Lagos-20141211 Over 500 child defilement cases reported in Lagos 2014-12-11 13:12 Lagos - Ade Ipaye, Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, on Wednesday, said over 500 cases of child defilement cases were reported in the state this year. Ipaye disclosed this at a Human Rights Essay and Debate Competition organised for private and public schools in Lagos by the Directorate for Citizen's Rights. The competition was part of activities marking the 2014 World Human Rights Day with the theme: "The Rights of the Child." The commissioner said this year's theme was carefully picked in the light of the fact that in the last one year, more than 500 cases of defilement of minors were reported in Lagos. "We know that children contend with several challenges on daily basis, however, the onus is on parents and guardians to ensure that each child is given necessary care and attention.’’ Ipaye said that the principle of human rights should be inculcated in the youths at their earliest formative stage. He added that this would ensure that youths imbibed the principles of fairness, non-discrimination, inclusiveness and respect for fellow-beings, irrespective of age. |
The headline is a lie. I am certain the IGR of the state will not cover pensions, wages of government workers and provide for ongoing development. Anambra will see reduced share of federal allocation to which it is rightfully entitled. Less income, means the governor will have to be more creative to achieve his goals and I truly wish him well. All parts of Nigeria require major investment, especially in education so we have a workforce that is skilled and flexible. This cannot come cheap, so let the governor not deceive the people. When income is reduced in a household, we know the effects. Can we pretend it is different at state level? |
makhez019:Only a numbnut like you would believe that he has a 9yr old child at this age. But then again your intellect is here evidenced more by its absence. #change #GMB #APC |
Oga please, it is renouncing not denouncing, chikena! #change #GMB #APC |
Adminisher:The litany of excuses from government is just depressing. Do remember that we spend over 1 trillion on fuel subsidy, because we have no working refineries. And in 4yrs not one has been repaired or built because fuel importation is the easiest scam. Meanwhile they celebrate dizzyannie becoming chair of opec when we are in the position of being the only major member that cannot refine crude oil for our local consumption. So even the derivatives of refining that the plastics or fertiliser industry could use are also imported. Fani Kayode is facing trial on EFCC charges, Ubah of TAN is facing trial on EFCC corruption charges, Kashamu is accused by Obasanjo of being involved in the drug trade and these are the people Jonathan clings to? How can we tell our children not to steal when the president is ready to pardon and embrace you in public? I am beyond disgusted with Jonathan and his gang. I have protected my pvc pass my atm card sef. #change #GMB #APC |
roughdiamond:It is legal for you to upload short clips to make your point, but uploading the whole video does constitute piracy. At least a violation of his ownership rights. |
OMG is that for real? Says a lot about how they view the public, simple-minded. When Wike is the most unfit looking rascal and certainly the most intellectually challenged candidate in rivers. So embarrassing |
LRNZH:Oga, abeg look up sarcasm, while I have my morning coffee. You no see my user name, diaris God o |
