A man identified as Umar Ango, has hailed president Muhammadu Buhari after making a whooping sum of N1,375,000 from his rice harvest this week. The farmer posed with his huge cash to share the result of his hard work.

Police operatives over the weekend at the Upper Ugbor Rd area of GRA , Benin city, Edo State - arrested a security guard and his gang ,who organized the brutal murder and incineration of his employer, Major Afisatu Ajuya, elder sister to Mrs Usoh, wife of Chief Douglas E Usoh, The Odobaewu of Benin Kingdom.

According to Jefferson Uwoghiren, the gang numbering over nine broke into the apartment of the retired Army Officer in the early hours of yesterday, strangled the officer and set her ablaze before disappearing with her personal items.

After the sex tape which went viral involving a Ghanaian headmaster and a female student, comes another shocker but this time around in South Africa. The Principal of Reiger Park High school named Gregory Finch has got himself trending online after being accused of sleeping with school students and some teachers and also taking videos of them.

One of his alleged sex victim took to Facebook to blast the man for sleeping with them as she rained curses on him.

Photos of the man and his victims have been shared online to corroborate the story.

A Nigerian man, Ibrahim Adamu, has shared pictures of dead cows that were allegedly killed by a militia group in Giza Development Areas of Keana Local government,of Nasarawa State. According to reports, the slain cattle were brought yesterday to the Emir's palace in Lafia by the Fulani herdsmen.

Below is what Ibrahim shared on Facebook;

These are death cows (cattle's)brought in presently to the Emirs palace Lafia,by the Fulani's. The cows were killed by the suspected TIVS militias Group at the Giza Development Areas of Keana Local government,of Nasarawa State.

They came to tender their pains and report their lost to the Emir of Lafia HRH. Dr. Isa Mustapha Agwi. They're agitating for the immediate arrest of those that perpetrates the dastardly act in order to settle their huge lost and equally punished.

I appeal to our father to adequately and ensure the total resolution of this crisis at his palace. DADDY we so much believe in your capacity and wisdom to resolves even worse issues than this.

A man identified as Verga Shimbayev Angena Shor - was gruesomely murdered alongside one other by Shitile militants after invading Zaki Biam, in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue state. Reports from the area said the gunmen, who came from Shitile area of Katsina-Ala, stormed Zaki Biam and shot some villagers dead.

National Helm gathered that the situation has caused serious tension in the area.

It was not clear at press time the reason for the attack.

A lady who lives in the United Kingdom has revealed how she was shunned after reporting about her iPhone which was stolen the first time she arrived Nigeria. According to her, the policeman laughed at her and told her to get out of his front as he allegedly said he would have flogged her if not for her nationality.

A Nigerian man with a big heart, Jude Idada (pictured below) has narrated his encounter with a Masters degree holder who works as a security guard in Ikeja area of Lagos. After paying for his transport fare and buying him food, the good Samaritan, Jude, also gave the man some money to take care of himself.

The interesting part is that the good Samaritan also told his wealthy friend about the man he met on the bus and how he is struggling to take care of his family with two jobs. His friend transferred N250,000 to the man after speaking with him on the phone.

In the bus from Sabo, Yaba to Obalende, the man sitting by me kept handling his pockets for the extra money the conductor was requesting for.

He had thought it was 100 naira and was surprised it was 200 naira.

I told him not to bother and paid it.

He was efusive with thanks and no sooner called a woman who was standing by the road with a tray of bread and butter.

100 naira bread.

She asked if he wanted some butter.

He answered in the negative.

I looked at him.

He was staring at the woman with such concentration as she packed up the bread.

He noticed my gaze and turned to me.

There was an apologetic smile on his face.

"Sorry bros, but I never eat since morning."

It was 7.45 p.m.

Already dark.

I smiled, turned to the woman and asked her to butter up the bread.

I called out to another hawker who was passing with a pack of cold drinks.

I turned to him and asked what he wanted.

He was looking at me dumbstruck.

The conductor pounded on the roof of the bus. A signal to the driver that it was time to move.

The driver engaged the gear and was about to move, it was as though the slight jerk of the boss awakened the man.

He hollered.

"Duro!"

The driver stopped.

"Kilon shele?"

"Mo fe ra onje."

"Shey kia!"

He turned to me.

"Coke."

I bought two bottles of coke and paid for the bread.

The bus hurtled away towards Obalende.

And he told me a tale of woe.

Masters degree holder but working as a security guard in Ikeja.

Resuming today as a security guard in VI for the night shift.

2 jobs.

A wife and a kid.

I listened.

We got to Obalende.

Gave him some more money.

Stopped him from kneeling down in the bus park in gratitude.

Exchanged numbers and bade him farewell.

From there I headed to the Japanese restaurant Shiro in VI for dinner with my very wealthy friend.

And I told him of my decision to travel Lagos by bus for a week and more to meet the 'real' Lagosians.

He was intrigued.

Then I told him of the man I had just met on my way from Yaba.

And he was moved.

So moved that he had me call him and he spoke with him.

After which he collected his bank details and right in my presence, he transferred 250k to the man.

My eyes are misty.

In this city there are demons and there are angels.

I am happy that my friend proved to be the latter.

And a life was touched.

This is very shameful. A video footage is currently trending online showing how a 25-year old Fulani kidnap kingpin, Ibrahim Umar, was being hailed by police officers as he stunned them by assembling an AK-47 rifle withing minutes.

The kidnapper was arrested and paraded alongside 15 others by the Nigerian Police, earlier this month when he disclosed that he had not only killed over ten of his kidnapped victims in recent times but also drank their blood raw.

In the trending footage, the young criminal who is currently in custody - can be seen assembling the gun as he was cheered by police officers at the station.

He equally disclosed that he hunts and kills soldiers to get their arms and uniforms for operations whenever he was in need of the items. What stands Umar’s kidnap gang out among many others across the country is that it kills the victims even after collecting ransom from their families.

Following the loss of innocent lives in the towns, villages and communities along the Minna-Bida-Birnin Gwari-Funtua and Tegina-Kaduna highways, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris deployed personnel of the Special Tactical Squad attached to Operation Absolute Sanity and personnel of Niger State Police Command under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, Niger State to restore law and order in the communities mentioned and arrest the perpetrators.

Consequent on this directive, the joint team moved in and raided all the identified criminal camps, kidnappers’ dens and hideouts in the Forest in Birnin-Gwari, Tegina, Alawa and Kabata town in Niger State. The operations that lasted several days and intense exchange of fire between the Police Joint Team and this vicious militia/kidnap for ransom gang resulted in the arrest of Thirteen (13) above mentioned suspects and recovery of the cache of prohibited arms and ammunition listed above.

The gang confessed to have been responsible for the kidnap and slaughtering of seven (7) persons from a mosque at Kabata town under Rafin LGA of Niger State late last year. They also admitted to be responsible for the attack on a Police Post at Alawa town in Shiroro LGA of Niger State where the Police Post was burnt down and two Policemen who were in a team on a rescue mission of some kidnapped victims were ambushed and killed by this Militia gang.

The Gang leader, Lawal Maisaje a.k.a Lawal Kwali and his second in command Zakairu Mamman during interrogation confessed that they have slaughtered more than Nineteen (19) innocent people in the mentioned villages which include a father and his son after collection of ransom from most of the victims ranging from One Million Naira to Three Million Naira. Investigation is being intensified to arrest other gang members still at large.

The suspects will be arraigned in court on completion of investigation.

A husband who couldn't contain his anger meted out fury on a man's car after he was allegedly caught sleeping with his wife. The man who was angered by the embarrassing act - decided to smash and destroy his wife lover's car. A Facebook user who 'witnessed' the incident shared the pictures online. The incident reportedly happened in South Africa.

The Fayose siblings pictured welcoming former vice president Atiku Abubakar and his son; Aminu Atiku yesterday afternoon at the Ekiti state government house. Jones Fayose flew in from Canada as he joined his brothers Otunba Emmanuel Fayose, Isaac Fayose and of course governor Ayo Fayose himself to meet with Atiku.

Atiku Abubakar, and Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, met behind closed doors in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday.

The two are eyeing the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 elections.

They went into a private meeting after addressing party leaders, members of the State House of Assembly and the State Executive Council.

Around midnight yesterday, Rapid Response Squad (RRS) officers on routine night patrol of Motorway, close to Old Toll Gate, rescued a robbery victim. The young man, who was stabbed by his assailants and dispossessed of his valuables, was left in a terrifying state.

He was taken to hospital immediately by the officers.

Last week Wednesday, five suspects, who participated in a similar robbery around the area were arrested by the Decoy Team of RRS.

The victim, a lady assisted in identifying one of the robbers, who led us to their hideout, where his accomplices were apprehended.

The suspects were transferred to FSARS for further investigations.

Last year December, A man proposed to his girlfriend of many years at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
