You can't get them admission from outside Canada but you need to show exchange of email with the school you intend to enrol your child. Some schools ( private or public) will end you registration form to fill after which you will be notified your child has been waitlisted and that you should contact the school to finalise their admission process as soon as you touch base in Canada.
How do you find a school to enroll your child without a Canadian address? Because you get schools by inputting your address then a list of schools in the locality will pop up. That’s not a requirement because on the site it says once the parent has a study permit, the child doesn’t need to have you. Nigerians be messing up applications and creating their own IRCC requirements. You show exchange of mail when you don’t have an address to use and search for schools. They that put that up on their site are aware of these so it can only be applicable to private schools

Hello,

Study visa is better for your children from age 6 and above and yes they will benefit alot from it.

Documents to be submitted for their study permit are but not limited to;
1. Data page of their international passport
2. NIN Slip
3. Birth Certificate
4. School recommendation/ clearance letter (Nigeria)
5. Last term school result (Nigeria)
6. School fees receipt and admission letter (Nigeria)
7. School ID card (Nigeria)
8 Passport photograph (2 by 2)
9. Email correspondence with school in Canada showing they've been waitlisted
10. Medical Slip if you choose to do upfront (IOM or QLIFE)

Others can add to the list

All the best.
All these requirements seff... it’s just few you will see on the portal oh... According to them, once you the parent had a study permit, it covers for the chat. How do you get email correspondence? When you can’t get them admission from outside of Canada or is this applicable to private schools?

Good afternoon everyone. Happy Sunday!
Please I need advise.
I’m traveling in July for study (Got my PPR since January). My upfront medical was done since May 2021 when I applied for my study visa. Is it still valid? I haven’t received anything from IRCC to update it. Is that normal?
You already got your passport stamped and returned right? How does medicals come in again? IRCC is done with you. I guess If they needed you to update it then you wouldn’t have gotten PPR and you don’t need medicals to travel... you have your visa already i guess, not really sure! Wait for the gurus

- Conclusion

POF cover letter had 3 tables (Year 1, Year 2, and Summary) showing the breakdown of the cost of attendance and funding. Subheadings were then used to explain each source of funding and bank accounts used.
The POF cover letter can have all the explanations for your POF, so you do not have to replicate it in your LOE, thereby freeing up some space/pages in your LOE.

In your LOE and POF cover letter, don't leave anything to the imagination of the VO. When you allow them to make their own deductions/assumptions, it might not always be in your favour. Explain everything as succinctly as you can.

MPOWER Loan
They offer up to a maximum of 100,000 USD (50k per academic year)
Schools supported by MPOWER Financing:

With the CIBC student deposit program, one can open a Canadian bank account and make a one-time transfer of CAD 1,000 - CAD 20,000 before arriving in Canada, but the transfer has to come from an account bearing your name. You then activate the CIBC student deposit account on arrival in Canada and all your funds are immediately available to u, unlike in GIC.

https://www.cibc.com/en/special-offers/international-student-bank-account.html

Some Canadian schools have International Student Advisors (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants or Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors) that support international students for free in their study permit application process and beyond. Find out if your school has any and make very good use of them. Some offer regular Q&A sessions, information sessions, phone/video appointments, and support via emails.

Watch lots of YouTube videos on Canada study permit application (step-by-step filling of the online application, LOE, POF, home ties, etc)

I'm very grateful to all those that contribute here on Nairaland. You are doing a marvellous job. There is sooo much information on this Forum. Taking the pains to start from page 1 of this thread is very rewarding. You can always copy/save/screenshot relevant information you may subsequently need, so u won't have to start searching or requesting them later.

I wish everyone speedy processing of applications and continuous rain of PPR!!!
Congratulations... I’v added the bible verse to my daily reading

As an agent it has always been my job to tell my clients to be patient and relax, but when it came to my turn, it was hard for me to follow my own advice Knowing how unpredictable the Canadian process works.

So I put all my trust in God because nobody can guarantee Canada study permit except God! I drew strength from Psalm 33, each time I get worried I will pray and reassure myself of God’s promises to me with that particular bible verse.

Along the line, I discovered this thread on nairaland and started coming here to draw strength from people’s PPR testimonies. I am happy to share my testimony today. Lol I was at the Gym when the email came people were looking at me crazy I ran home immediately to share the news with my family.

I know how you feel reading this right now, you will pray a silent prayer and then go and check your portal. Don’t worry God will come through for yo, with God you can never lose

With God you can never lose! when God shows up He shows off. My God never fails, Odogwu!!
You just spoke to me now cry cry. Thanks for these beautiful words... Congratulations on your PPR... i will share mine soon. PPR on a Saturday... this is beautiful news
