Anon123: You can apply but the bad news is that you will pay the total $235cad visa and biometrics fee.
The good news is once you pay and submit, ircc will automatically update your visa portal with the biometrics details of your last biometrics which means you wont need to do biometrics and ircc wont send you an invite. He won’t pay for biometrics again... he will tell them he has done biometrics in the last 10years |

BobLeeSawagger1: Hi Guys,
I’m back to share the last part of my story! God has finally done.
I started the journey I 2019 when I applied for the SINP nominee program. In January 2021, my application was rejected based on POF. Why? Not because I’d do not show the requested amount, but because I transfer part of the money to an investment account and failed to show the proof as well as LOE.
Due to my determination, I applied again that same month. Fortunately for me, I received another ITA in February 2021, and submitted a complete application in April 2020.
I decided not to put all my eggs in one basket, in the same month of February, myself and my spouse applied to four different colleges (paid application fees) and got admitted to two of the colleges.
Despite having ongoing SINP application, we decided to pursue student route. I reached to different agencies both home and abroad to assist with the student application and also include my family. Most of the feedback centered around me applying first and after three months, my family can join me.
Because I don’t want leave my family behind, I decided to DIY and as God may have it, I submitted the application in April 2021 along with visit visa for spies and kids.
In September 2021, my student visa was approved along with my family visit visa.
I deferred my admission to May 2022 because I did not want to start from Nigeria.
In December 2021, I received nomination letter from SINP and submitted my express entry application on 8th of January 2022
On the first of April, I travelled along with my family to Canada.
Just last two weeks, my express entry application was approved and got my COPR last week.
This platform played a major role and I’m so gratefully.
For those that are still awaiting decisions on their application, be optimistic, it will surely come. Don’t cut corners, follow the process.
If you need any information/clarification, feel free to reach out to me at aababasola@gmail.com Congratulations to you |

folla: WHAT GOD CANNOT DO, DOES NOT EXIST!
God has shown mercy to me and my children.
My SOWP and my 3 children's Study Visa applications have been approved by IRCC.
1st Applications
Our 1st applications made in June 2021 were all refused on 25th September 2021. The main concern of the VO, as revealed in the GCMS note, was that my wife, who is a Masters student in BC, filled on her application form that her family would not accompany her to Canada. The VO questioned the truthfulness of my wife's statement in her application, when we now applied for visas while she was still in Nigeria. VO said other things which we considered circumstantial.
I came on this platform then to seek for advice and I really obtained valuable advice from members. What did we do?
2nd Applications
We filed another set of applications on 8th November 2021 with my wife explaining the reasons for her change in plan. We filed additional documents showing stronger home ties by exhibition of pictures of our parents, affidavits of birth of our parents and affidavit of births of my siblings. I also exhibited share certificate, receipt of payment of professional dues, together with landed property. I showed rent receipts issued to our tenants.
Along the line, my wife wrote her MP sometime in February 2022 seeking for a status update on our applications. The response was that criminality check was passed and nothing more. Our upfront medicals expired in April 2022, but I refused to go for any more upfront medicals. If they are ready, they will contact us. I was drained, both emotionally and psychologically, noting that the journey began in June 2021. I only held on to God, as a lot was at stake.
There was a time I read an email IRCC had sent to someone here requesting for updated transcripts of his student spouse. I took the initiative by sending my wife's updated transcripts sometime in late April 2022. I have a feeling this had a positive impact on our applications.
Boom, medical request showed for my children and I on 16th May 2022. We quickly sent an email to QLife who gave us an appointment in about 9 days later. Medicals were updated to "pass" for my children on 7th June, while they got their PPR on 9th June. For me, my medical was updated to "pass" on 8th June, while my PPR only came on 29th June.
In between my children's PPR and 29th June, I sent their passports to Abuja the penultimate Monday and we received the stamped passports on 28th June. I almost sent another webform on 29th June with the plan to exhibit my children's visas and seeking a quick response on my application. By 9am on 29th June, 2 "donotreply" emails had come into my inbox.
My wife travelled to BC since September 2021, leaving me with 3 active boys, while IRCC kept playing the delay game. Thank God it has ended in praise.
I wish to say a big thank you to members on this forum who were responsive to my questions at the relevant times. Really appreciate.
To everyone still waiting, hang on there. It's not over until you have won. You can't afford to give up. Keep praying and sending the webforms, the golden emails will surface shortly.
Thank you All! Lol, 3 active boys got me i can imagine. It ended in Praise.. Congratulations to you and the boys... Please how much did you pay for transmission for the 3 of them? Did you pay times 3? |

highburygonner: God did it. I give him all the praise. This would have been impossible without Him. My journey to Canada began in 2014, when I submitted an application for the Federal Skilled Workers program. I sent my documents to Canada in December of 2014, and in April of 2015, I called to inquire about the status of my application, only to be informed that it had been returned to my address because the NOC that I applied for was full. I never received those documents back. I was devastated, having invested time, effort, and money. My then agent requested that I reapply immediately through the newly introduced express entry program, as I met all of the requirements but was too emotionally exhausted to undergo the process again. I basically gave up on the Canadian dream.
Life goes on.
In 2017, my wife and I made the decision to try again. In 2018, I entered the pool, but my points were just too low to get an invitation to apply. I also applied for PNP in some provinces, but I wasn't selected.
This time, however, we resolved not to give up. We will keep trying.
Going to Canada through study was never appealing to me.
All that changed last year, when we decided to try the study route. I came here to learn the requirements and the process involved. I was astounded by the quantity of information I received. I read parts 18–20 to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire process. I discovered that I could do it myself after receiving loads of information here. I applied and got admitted to some schools, but decided to settle for Seneca College (1 year program PG).
After paying the 1st semester tuition fees in February, I realized that the available funds would not be enough to show proof of funds. We then decided to sell one of our properties. From the proceeds of the sales, I was able to pay the second semester tuition fees and send some money to my spouse's account for family upkeep (I did all these things to demonstrate that the lump sum was not intended for demonstration purposes).
Timeline: Application submitted May 11th, 2022. Biometric was done on the 16th of May, 2022 and was updated the same day. I booked June 20, 2022 for an upfront medical at IOM. Medical request in the early hours of June 18th. Omo I was excited. Medical done: 20th of June Medical updated: 22nd of June. BVL: 30 June 2022 PPR: 30 June 2022
Documents submitted: SOP LOE (extensively explaining lump sum, breaking down proof of funds, etc.) LOA Tuition fees receipt (full year payment) Attestation of Birth certificate MBS (5 different accounts) Police Character Certificate NIN Offer of appointment letter Confirmation of offer of appointment letter Salary increment letter Recommendation letter from CEO Reference letter from my immediate boss Study leave approval letter 4 months payslips 4 months MBS salary acc. A guy I did medical with on the 20th had his medical updated on the 23rd and received PPR on the 24th, so I was concerned when I didn't receive PPR after my medical was updated to pass. Due to this, anxiety nearly killed me.I was wondering why I had not yet received PPR and what could have caused the delay. Yesterday at 4 p.m., I began sending emails to a number of email addresses found on this page. I submitted a web form to Nairobi as well. Then, I received the golden mail this morning. I believe that the email and web form did the trick.
A big shout out to Justmellow for writing an outstanding SOP and for reviewing my final documents.I emailed him a lengthy draft. He shortened it into a 3-page study plan, and it made a lot of sense, though I had to write an elaborate LOE. Thanks to Frank for providing me with advice that altered the entirety of my application. I am grateful to Anon for reviewing my documents at a very short notice. God bless you all. A special shout out to @ACTIVATEOLUWASE, a brother I met here. When I needed assistance with my Form A, he graciously walked me through the steps. Thanks brother. I eagerly anticipate your good news. Thanks to all contributors, you are all doing a yoeman' s job. God bless you all. God will certainly remember all PPR hopefuls.
I apologize for the long post. Congratulations oh... God did it!!!!!. He will do mine too |

Funny enough, I wasn’t really focused on moving to canada, my priority was Portugal, because I read about many refusals and long wait time.
However, after I got medical request, I became interested and anxious, so reactivated my Nairaland account. I was shocked when I came I on Nairaland Saw different applicants with extremely well packaged applications backed with with so many documents and I felt like Omoh, I no serious oo, lol. But God did it!
Afterwards, I spoke to Frank global, Makano and Anon, they all said once I had gotten a medical request that my application was as good as approved, they gave me so much hope and I wanna take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to them. God bless you my bosses.
I gotta be honest, my application wasn’t the near top 10000th applications I saw here, but it’s all grace and faith my people. God did it!
