- Director freedom and Patty Jenkins overconfidence

When WB decided to start giving their directors freedom to do what they want to do, every DC fan including myself thought it was a good idea especially when WB already has a bad history of meddling with DC films. Like how they meddled and ruined JL and Suicide Squad.
Unfortunately, like someone pointed out, giving directors creative freedom could be their undoing as well.

We are starting to see a director who has no business having creative freedom. And that person, surprisingly is Patty fvcking Jenkins!

Let me bust your bubble, did you know that the great 3rd act we got in the first WW film is because of WB. Patty Jenkins was against having a big 3rd act fight with Ares and Diana. Maybe the crazy woman wanted a big ass speech instead of a good fight. But WB said no and insisted on a great 3rd act, thanks to WB we didn't get a cheesy ending.

But WB unfortunately drove a wedge between them and Jenkins by changing her movie.

So what did Patty Jenkins do when she was offered creative freedom
This woman fired the team that helped the first movie shine. Getting rid of Alan Heinberg the screenwriter and bringing in Geoff Johns.
Alan Heinberg's sacking finally proved to be a costly mistake.

The big difference between Alan and Johns is that one of them understands Wonder Woman and even wrote one of the best WW comic books...the other guy has never had anything to do with Wonder Woman before.
Geoff Johns handled Green Lantern well and Flash too, his Batman earth one comic book was interesting but he has never touched Wonder Woman before.
So how in the world did Patty Jenkins work with someone who doesn't know jack-shit about Wonder Woman

As if that is not enough reason to not work with him. Take a look at Geoff Johns work outside DC comics, is there anything this guy touched that didn't turn to rubbish

Why hire him

Thanks to Jenkins, Geoff Johns and lack of interference from WB due to 'Directors Freedom'.....the aggressive warrior Wonder Woman we saw in the first movie was replaced with.....that

If you needed someone to help with Wonder Woman, there are a handful of writers you could call. Alan is not the only one that wrote a great Wonder Woman story, there are others too.
What about Zack Snyder, why didn't Jenkins hire him for help. Even Zack gave us a fantastic Wonder Woman in BVS, at least with Zack you know you are getting breathtaking action sequences.

But no....the overconfident Patty Jenkins who wanted to prove that she could deliver without WB supervision went and hired a hack in Geoff Johns.

Patty Jenkins really messed up.

WB should do well to keep her on a short leash next time.
You could give director freedom to James Wan, James Gunn...even Reeves Batman looks promising. Patty Jenkins obviously isn't like these guys. She has proved that she is not someone you give creative freedom to...

Patty Jenkins is a like child that does an awesome job with help from the parents, but when the parents are not there to guide her...she fvcks up.

for real. There’s nothing wonder about WW84, no memorable thing i can point to. An eighties movie without 80s music, inconsistent plot, Batman says she’s been hiding over 100 years in JL but here she was broadcasting to the world in WW84, How did her rope tie around Lord’s feet when appealing to him to renounce his wish? How did Cheetah transform from just wishing to be an apex whatever? WW84 can float in air but can’t in BVS n JL, man she raped that guy who transformed into Steve, pretty sure there’ll be outpours of criticisms if it were the other way round. And suddenly the man gets his body and consciousness and just moves on admiring and having chit chat with WW without wondering what the heck happened to him the past few days. Damn the writers!

I just started watching Wonder Woman '84 and one thing kept bugging me.
Didn't Batman say that Diana hid herself away from the world and refused to help people in either BVS or Justice League or am I remembering it wrong?

mine is if she learned how to fly in 84, why wasn’t it portrayed in BVS n Josstice League? I know she wasn’t exactly flying the Superman way but at least BVS n JL could have given us some semblance to how she could propel and float in the sky. I guess they forgot.

There is a simple explanation for this. The so called NIN you generated on your sim when you have not registered is not your own.

Why is this or how come I have NIN without registration.
If you have heard about recycled lines, a situation where networks return old and abandoned numbers into the market for being dormant over a period of time as new lines that will be bought and registered by a new user.
Now the former owner of that line might have used it to register their NIN in the past and that is what is on the database of NIN. if the new user of that line dials the NIN checking code, it will bring out the NIN number of the old user.

SO IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED FOR NIN AND YOU HAVE AN NIN ON YOUR LINE, JUST KNOW ITS NOT YOURS.
NIMC does and has not linked BVN details to create NIN for people who don't have as they are two different agencies CBN & NIMC.

The word recorded in Luke 1:28 charitoō meaning Favour as you stated(also be translated as grace depending on context like in Ephesians 1:6), is a description of a person's attitude and actions toward the one so labeled(in this case, God's attitude towards the recipient of the message). On its own, it says nothing about the character or attitude of the person being favoured.
Favour can be earned but more often than not, the concept of favour is that the person being favoured has a soft spot with the person bestowing it and usually has done nothing inherently to gain it(eg a man showing favour to a fellow kinsman).
The act of showing favour speaks purely of the character and attitude of the one who is bestowing it. This is often the case atleast in the Bible when it pertains to God and humans (God constantly showing favour/grace to undeserving humans). You can do a word study of ḥên(old testament) and God.
This is more evident in the only other place the word charitoō is used in the entire NT.
"to the praise of the glory of His grace(charitos), which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved." - Ephesians 1:6 NASB...
Most English translations also have freely bestowed or given except for KJV and ESV that render it a bit differently. But regardless of which translation chosen, the idea is the same. The charitoō is bestowed purely based on God's will.

This tracks with God's character and his attitude towards humans throughout the entire Bible. All humans are on a path that ultimately leads to death and the weird part is, that's the path we want to be on. But God out of his gracious love partners with certain people throughout history to bring about His ultimate will; which is "saving humanity from the path it's one". It's not that these partners are inherently good or more deserving than the rest of humanity; matter of fact, the biblical stories consistently make it clear that all the people God partners with all have deep moral failings like all humans do. It's purely based on God's own graciousness to continue working with flawed humans to bring about His ultimate will.."the Cross".
Mary is part of a long line of humans who God partners with and who when they got things right, were instrumental in bringing about God's plan.

Mary (and actually Joseph too) no doubt were pious Jews like many Jews in the 1st century(the 1st and the a couple of centuries before it was a hot bedrock of piousness and heightened awareness for the coming the Messiah and God coming back to the temple to become king). Why God chose Mary is not given but we can always trust that God knows what He is doing .What we do know is that, regardless of any human failings Mary had(all Humans have moral failings), when giving the opportunity to trust God, she got it right and did trust Him. Even Moses and Gideon who took a bit of convincing eventually stepped up.

There's nothing in the NT that says or alludes to the statement that "Mary was the most righteous among all women that walked on the face of the earth".
The idea that there was something inherently different about Mary started out around the early middle ages and became part church tradition(or today, Catholic tradition). We do not even find this in the earliest Christian writings outside of the NT. The shift to Mary being pure, immaculate conception etc began from writings sometime around the 4th AD.

WW1984 feels like telemundo in that the story gets dragged way longer than it should. Steve n Diana did great to keep me engaded in the first albeit boring half hour of the movie. They took out my warrior wonder woman and made her soft. I mean Cheetah was underwhelming to say the least, but Maxwell Lord did fantatsic. I really was expecting great action sequences here but it seems Synder is the only one in DC that can give good fight scenes. WW1984 gets a 7, not bad but nothing spectacular to take home with. WW1984 is kids entertainment.

it was inevitable as Messi grew older in age. Barca perhaps were too emotionally involved with Messi they failed to spot the huge iceberg coming to hit 'em on time.
