Make Hazard drop that number 7 jersey and test a theory. If Manutd are still feeling the effect till this day, then perhaps that effect has transferred over to Madrid since CR7’s exit. |

I believe GUS can make a comeback if done properly cos they still have loyal fans who wants to see it. This shouldn’t be a competition with BBN, both programs have their market and viewership. Social media wasn’t as it is now when GUS was at its peak but with the right strategy GUS can be back with a bang. I prefer GUS cos nothing beats that adrenaline rush you get when it’s eviction day or the finale. Besides the life lessons you get about survival instincts, havingto be at your A game to solve those riddles at times with an empty belle, the know how to swim, build a temporary home with bamboo while surviving harsh weather conditions, etc. that’s some experience you’ll never forget. Most importantly GUS was family time- everyone could gather and bond while watching it. It was good times. |

ReeLoaDead: Messi and his propensity to blame others when the going gets bad. Was he not on the field when Barca chopped 8 goals? He should own up to his shortcomings when he himself has failed! na my problem with am.m, like say he no follow join them for pitch. He even lost a ball that led to goal. Goal.com is doingthat interview with Messi is pr damage just to present Messi in good light so that we all get emotional. They should do interview with Bartomeu so we get to hear his side too. Messi is blaming management, who sold Neymar? The guy forced himself out. Coutinho and Griezmann were ballers in their former club before turning average in Barca. Maybe they should look inwards and ask why, cos to me the system of play is the culprit. it’s disgraceful to chop 8 goals and you have a captain in the pitch that didn’t try rally his team to do damage control at half time, he was seen sitting on the bench with his usual head faced down rather urging his team to go conservative as the match was already lost, that could’ve saved some pride. Past 4 years have been disgraceful for them in Europe and Messi humans haven’t scored an away goal that would’ve helped them. So he should blame himself and the team as well as the board and stop playing the emotional game. |

olajosy: Messi would be free as Freetown by next year that his contract would be over while Barcelona eyes go clear and they would be singing "had I know". What more do they want from someone that have won them all the trophies they deserved for over 19years and still counting and you think they don’t know of this possibility before holding him hostage? A lot happens in a year and just as you think Messi will leave next year it’s also a possibility he will renew. A lot happens in a year |

Sports › Re: Is Messi Still Good Enough For A Big Price Tag Or Is He In Decline? by charlesm91(m): 10:42am On Sep 02, 2020 |
Sanchez01: The difference: Ronaldo's fee wasn't neck-breaking. This is football and we know no club in the world can sign a €700 million player without violating the FFP rules. Heck, City, as a club is not that wealthy to splash €700 million on signing players in a single season. NOTE THAT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CITY AS A CLUB AND ITS OWNERS.
It has been established time and time again again that Messi is nowhere marketable compared to Ronaldo. No doubt, he will make the club money with increased fans, jersey sales and possibly a rise in stock but City won't recoup the €700 million on Messi alone, not even in 2 seasons. And there is the issue of his jumbo salary. City will definitely be running a deficit but it is obvious they don't care as they want Messi at all cost.
Barcelona knew from day one that no club will be able to afford the €700 million release clause. It was only an attempt to keep him at bay, which is why Barcelona is obstinate, to date.
Other than the fact that he is aging, at least he can get to hide under the canopy of Kevin, that is if he doesn't have issues with pairing like he did with Dybala in Argentina.
Guardiola is obsessed with reuniting with Messi. A wise club knows waiting is more profitable here and signing him with whatever salary next season will profit them, knowing they won't be breaking the bank.
No club in the world has the financial muscle to splash €700 million on signing players in a single season without violating the FFP, not even Real Madrid, the world's richest club and no player in the world is worth €700 million, not one. really tho you’ve said it all. People mistake man city as a club to its owners. No club has the muscle to finance such deal as it is. Except Barca reduce the fee it just can’t work. Besides it’ll take years for them to recoup the fee and that’s if Messi don’t retire by then. |

Messi cannot play outside spain
Now he's ready to move, penaldo fans are calling him an ingrate for deciding to leave barca. You can never satisfy humans don’t twist the narrative. Ronaldo fans say this because y’all Barca liked to brag about loyalty in football when there’s no such thing as true loyalty and simply business. gurunlocker: Very wrong.... Barcelona won't become like Man utd or Milan.
It might take a season to pick up if Messi leaves. Barcelona isn't like every other teams, they have their style of play and they build younger ones for that style.
If Messi leaves, it would help Barcelona as they won't focus on 1 man to always deliver for them. It will be more of a team.
Surely, Barcelona will miss Messi, but Barcelona won't be another Milan or Man utd.
Remember Madrid? Good..... madrid adapts to plays that why they can match other strong teams in Europe unlike Barca who are confined to a philosophy. Besides Madrid still have most of their experienced players in the squad to guide the young bloods |
Sports › Re: Quim Torra Bids Messi Farewell by charlesm91(m): 11:21am On Aug 26, 2020 |
FlipModeSquade: Madrid wanted Ronaldo gone.. Ronaldo said so himself.. When the President of your Club does not value you the way he used to,that is to say that you are EXPENDABLE.. The said contract to let Messi go is not straight forward and is subject to interpretations.. It was supposed to be activated BEFORE June 30th and that time has elapsed.. The interpretation is now dependent on whether the unusual length of the season, should be taken into account and that is what is the bone of contention between Messi and Barca.. So,yes Barca tied him down with 700M and are still insisting on the amount being paid, because they don't want to lose their best player. for real. I wonder what people are thinking, Barca would let Messi go for free? No! That’s bad business. If Perez didn’t let Bale go for free is it now Barca that’ll do so to their most prized asset. That clause na better interpretation go solve am. Messi better just stay one more year, finish his current contract and leave amicably with good memories. |

paulolee: lolz...all dis cr7 fan boys eeh, ma gee cr7 left real simply bcoz he asked perez for a new improved contract, even thoug his current contract is remaining 2yrs in madrid.. perez didnt agree to cr7 terms of a new 4 year deal with a very high wage like messi bcoz perez saw no future with cr7 in Madrid for d next 4 years then and cr7 had to go when juve came knocking bcoz he knew dey would hardly be a suitor to pay him dt much after his next 2 years in madrid... do you think cr7 dts obsessed with ucl and balloon d or easily went to juve when he knows dt winning both with juve is impossible?? do you think dt even after winning the ucl with madrid he believed dt he would win the ballon d or in juve? modrid simple won the ballon d or dt year and we all kno itz bcoz cr7 moved to juve and dts wat cr7 always knew would happen bt he took the gamble bcox of the financial benefits of his career, Madrid knows how to dump stars no matter who you are, ask raul and cassilas and mayb after dt 2 yrs dt was left on his contract d nxt plan is to sell him off to china bcoz perez dnt joke witj cash and dts Y he played safe and moved to juve.. after 2017 ucl final which Madrid won, perez promised Ronaldo an improved deal which he failed to do that season. The following season Perez stalled and yet Madrid won another ucl in 2018. Ronaldo reminded perez to make good on his promise and that’s when Perez decided to play game. Yes Ronaldo asked for an improved contract to put him in the same bracket with messi and neymar, which he rightly earned after delivering success back to back. Ronaldo wasn’t asking to be the highest paid, he only wanted a wage more in line with that of his status. That’s when PREZ decided he could get rid of Ronaldo since Bale was there thinking Bale could replicate his figures if given the center. The tax case too was also a factor as Ronaldo felt Madrid didn’t enough to protect him as Barca did Messi. Ronaldo left for Juve and earned considerably less than what Madrid decided to offer him after seeing he was serious about leaving. Perez and Ronaldo mutually agreed to lower his release clause (1b as at then) so that he could be sold. Ronaldo said the trust was broken between he and Perez and that’s why he decided to leave as he felt he wasn’t loved that much despite his input. |
