sukkot:The world has moved my dear friend, to be a leader is not by carrying a long face and looking unkept to show you are working...!!! |
sukkot:Others that took their time to look decent at the event didn't have anything in their heads right? or even have less global matters to deal with than the black khaftan President? No one is talking about fashion here but different event calls for different outfit. I can't be embarking on a journey with thesame outfit i would to attend an event especially when i would have time in between for a change of clothe Pic attached shows US President Barack Obama departs the White House for the G7 summit in Germany and during the event. Hope you get my point?
|
InvertedHammer:It depends on your definition of substance. That you are attending the G7 shows a considerable level of substance. That you are attending also mean you are at the eyes of the world |
Now APC would have an APC member as Speaker in the flesh but a PDP member as Speaker in the spirit. Like Tambuwal, he will attend meetings like an APC man and sell to PDP |
Still wondering why the handlers of Mr. President or even his wife would allow him wear only one cloth to, fro and even throughtout the G7 event in Germany..!!!

koboko69:With the Bolden word, what they had today was an inauguration and not a sitting. There's a difference |
chidibond: Mace Present (symbol of authority), Sergeant-in-Arm Present and the official letter from Mr. President read on the floor to inaugurate the 8th Assembly is all that is required at this stage. 57 out of 108 Senators present. 50% members present (Qorum formed) |
dridowu:Back tracking tactics abi? Is this what we would have to contend with throughout this administration? They say one thing and few minutes later say they didn't say that..!!! |
AbuMikey:But he was a saint when he led other law makers during the 7th Assembly to drum support for the APC abi? What is good for the goose is also good for the ganders |
apolonius:Does the APC despite being the ruling party have the constitutional power to kidnap or hold to ransom the Legislative Arm of Government for mere internal power play? We shall head to Court |
ABUJA-MORE facts emerged Tuesday why the All Progressives Congress, APC, postponed the inauguration of the 8th Assembly. Sources close to the party told Vanguard that the adoption of Senator Ike Ekweramadu as Senator Bukola Saraki’s deputy invoked the wrath of the APC leadership and ordered that the inauguration should be shifted to a later date. According to one of the sources, the party never bargained for a diluted government in whatever level and would do everything to stop the anti-party activities of some of their members. He said,”honestly we never expected this sudden interest of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP that had initially said it was not interested in NASS leadership to now start championing it”. “We got hint of this development at about 4.am and had to swing into action”. “This sudden interest of the PDP was why we shifted the inauguration and ensure we put the House in order before another date will be scheduled”. “As you know the Hon Yakubu Dogara camp went too far in all they have done in the last two weeks heating the polity unnecessarily for no just cause”. “On Monday night we had a parade of those that will vote for Hon Femi Gbajabiamila and 203 lawmakers signified their interest so it could have been a done deal if not for the antics of some of us who want power by all means”. “Nigerians did not vote for a diluted government rather they voted for change and a positive change for that matter”. “One thing I can assure you of is that the APC will cross this bridge without a stain and the PDP will woefully fail”. Another source also spoke in the same vein saying”we can’t inaugurate the House for now until we get a clear signal that the coast is clear”. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/06/why-apc-postponed-nass-inauguration/#sthash.VnzfnuCG.dpuf |

Onajevwe:The sense in it is that your President has a misplaced sense of humor |
Because when he does not put out those sheepish smiles, he would really look very unfriendly, like a real dictator that he is and isolated. So to 'feel among', he smiles when no one is even talking to him and sqeezes his face even when others are smiling

ABUJA- The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court is currently hearing an ex-parte motion seeking to disqualify Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila from emerging as the Speaker of the House of Representatives tomorrow. Justice Abdul Kafarati is presiding over the suit which was lodged before the high court by the Registered Trustees of Social Justice and Civil Rights Awareness Initiative. The group, in the suit they filed pursuant to Order 26 Rule 8 of the Federal High Court Civil Procedure Rules, 2009, is contending that Hon. Gbajabiamila is not morally fit to head the third arm of governance in Nigeria, alleging that he was previously ”convicted in the state of Georgia for unethical practices and was debarred as a lawyer for 36 months”. Aside Gbajabiamila, the House of Representatives and the Attorney General of the Federation were equally cited as defendants in the matter. The ex-parte motion is being argued on behalf of the group by Human Rights lawyer, Chief Mike Ozehkome, SAN. In a supporting affidavit that was deposed to by one Alojie Nmerengira, the plaintiff told the court that its investigations revealed that Gbajabiamila was convicted by the Supreme Court of Georgia in 2007, even as it attached a copy of the order of the court as ‘Exhibit A’. Nmerengira averred: “That I am the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the plaintiff organization by virtue of which I am very conversant with the facts deposed herein. “That the 1st defendant is a member of the House of Representatives who nurses the ambition of becoming the Speaker of the House in the next Assembly. That the 2nd defendant is the constitution body created to carry out legislative functions for the good governance and advancement of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/06/breaking-news-speakership-court-asked-to-disqualify-gbajabiamila-over-us-indictment/ |
But she should give him a chance, and try to know him very well… She told me she wasn’t interested, not ready for marriage yet, I tried all my best to convince her but to no avail, I let go! What did she say was her reason for not getting married to him again? Actually, she was right coupled with the fact that she also lied to you. Firstly, at what point did she suddenly realize she was now ready for marriage when she had professed that she wasn't ready? |
EnigmAries: Because they have nothing to lose |
Ezenwammadu: Then the 64 APC members would be suspended by their party followed by them decamping to PDP who would then control majority in the house...!!! |
You mean this gate climber?
|
Both were recognized for the level of work they did in their respective states while in service. What happened to Godswill Akpabio? Politically motivated awards...!!! |
Anyone remember the story of Troy and the Greek's gift? Well our dear president had just received another 'Trojan Horse' but this time a 'Nigerien Horse' Hope he does not wheel it to the gate. The Story The Trojan Horse is a crafty contraption that allowed the Greeks to put an end to the 10-year-old Trojan War. The wily Greek hero Odysseus conceived the project and design for the Trojan Horse; Epeus, is credited with the actual building of the Trojan Horse. The Greeks left a giant wooden object made to look like a horse at the Trojan city gates. Some of the Greeks pretended to sail away, but actually sailed just out of sight. The other Greeks stood waiting, inside the belly of the wooden beast. When the Trojans saw the giant wooden horse and the departing Greek troops, they thought the wooden horse was a parting gift for the gods, so most of them wanted to wheel it into their city. The decision to move the Trojan horse into the city was opposed by Cassandra, the prophetess whose fate was never to be believed, and Laocoon, who was destroyed, along with his two sons, by sea serpents after pleading with his fellow Trojans to leave the Trojan Horse outside their city walls. The Trojans took this as a sign that the gods were displeased with Laocoon's message. Besides, the Trojans preferred to believe that since the Greeks were gone, the long war was over. The city opened the gates, let the horse in, and celebrated riotously. When the Trojans passed out or fell asleep, the Greeks climbed down from the belly of the Trojan Horse, opened the city gates and ushered the rest of the troops into the city. The Greeks then sacked, destroyed, and burned Troy.
