That means in the event of any house of the Assembly members losing his seat through the court, Wike can appoint a caretaker member to fill the position?

In the eyes of the Law! Wike has not made any appointment! And he has no power to appoint for the Lgs!

There is still a window for them to file for stay of execution, since the court didn't not give an explicit for any caretaker to be sworn in. The police should maintain the premises for the time pending when the issues are sorted out, but Wike cannot have his way! Simple!

Wike Should have proceeded to the Appeal Court to void that order instead instead of looking a malleable judge to issue another order.

Shut up! There was another judgment barring Wike from dissolving the Local Government Chairmen.

The IG should make Sure those Local Government are not opened for those thugs! Wike cannot be allowed to get away with illegality:

First, the constitution doesn't recognize the position of a Caretaker at the Local Government level being the third tier of government

Second, there was already a judgment by the the Industrial Court of Justice barring Wike from Dissolving the Local Govt Chairmen!



It's time Buhari used Wike as a Scapegoat!

Always in the wrong place when their fates are about to be decided...not that their presence in this regard would have made any difference cos justice would have still prevailed. That is how APC senators went for party meeting while the Senate was getting inaugurated and principal parties elected.
Meanwhile what were Rivers LG Chairmen doing in Abuja? Discussing local govt matters or what? So there's no suitable place to meet in Ph that they had to burn taxpayers money to host themselves in Abuja. So these are the kind of grassroot leaders Amaechi saw to install as his parting gift to Rivers indigenes? And to think there was a court injunction against this election yet he went ahead and with less than ten voters per polling booth announced his APC cronies as winner! Chei! Impunity! Shame on him and his Association of Past Criminals!
