onatisi: i can get 150 mb for 5cedis equ to 500 naira ,when i came home i regretted not having a bb i was charged 500 naira for 50mb

Just know that the new Ghana Cedi was introduced on 1 July 2007 at a rate equal to 10,000 old Cedis. That's redenomination for you. So, in effect, 5 new Cedis is equal to 50,000 old Cedis. So, you get 150MB for 50,000 old Cedis, which is approximately equal to N500. The same thing.

You may have been charged N500 for 50MB, but what's the validity of the data? It must be 7 days.

If he had died in Nigeria, autopsy would have revealed the cause. However, even if the autopsy revealed that he died of natural causes, it could still have fueled bad blood between both countries.

Bimfo: The two countries are not in good terms at all... But y should they be?? When 1 Ghana cedi, is equal to ₦83.

I think you should be better informed. The new Ghana Cedi was introduced on 1 July 2007 at a rate equal to 10,000 old Cedis. That's redenomination for you. So, in effect, 10,000 old Cedis is equal to N83, based on your assessment.

Those mentioning BlackBerry Porsche should hide their face in shame when they discover that Nokia 8800 Arte with pink diamonds costs $134,000, that is, over N21,000,000 (N21m)!!! BlackBerry Porsche is just over N300,000 only.

I wrote this article 3months ago in one of the USA Small Business Website.
I disagree everything you said here maybe you don't know how to use Blackberry
BlackBerry And The African Market: What Does it Have to
Offer?..........
Source www.smallbiztrends.com/2012/04/blackberry-african-market.html

You're just saying what we already knew and even exaggerating....

cyril83: my frnd if u r novice of something,it'll be beta to ask so pple may guide you besides y r u removing ur device battery, you can restart ur device withou removin batt...stop criticizing what ur cursed country can't produce...BB is one d best

abbey621: I don't see why you would want to remove the battery.

Any phone can freeze, requiring you to remove and replace the battery. Remove and replace the battery of a BlackBerry, and you will have to wait for at least 5 minutes for it to fully power on. This is not so with, for example, Nokia.

aze: Blackberry Porsch and Other BB have:
2. Can run 64 appz with real multitasking
12. Not to 4get, RIM just launched the BB Porshe successor running BB0S 10. U nid to see am.

Is that why 5000 persons working for them have to lose their jobs?
http://techland.time.com/2012/06/28/rim-5000-employees-to-be-laid-off-blackberry-10-delayed-until-2013/

Of what use is it if it can run 64 applications at once? That is an ungraceful overkill!!!
How many applications do you REALLY need to run at once? It is like buying 20 plates of rice for yourself for lunch.....

Zulele: Truely, you don't have money τ̲̅ȍ buy one.

Are you saying you didn't know it is cheaper to maintain a BlackBerry?

chuks49: Show me phone that offers unlimited download on any network with N1,500 monthly subscription and I will dump my BB this day.

You don't seem to be reading well. I said "BLACKBERRY IS CHEAPER THAN NOKIA AND OTHER SIMILAR DEVICES, EITHER IN TERMS OF ACQUISITION COST OR DATA COST! For example, with just N1,500, you can buy BlackBerry data capped at unlimited. However, even after spending N8,000, you still receive an average of 5G on a regular Internet package."

Strong points of BlackBerry include its unlimited data, and/or always-on connectivity even though it's not a monopoly on the latter.

walestrings: Though I av my own reservations on this bb stuff. But not all what u said is true especially if u know how to tweak. My bb boots in a min!!! I also use my mtn BIS subscription to surf on my system. My bold2 battery also lasts more than a day with active BIS depending on usage!!!! There are also much more tins to do with a bb than ping!!!
I believe for d Nigerian environment, BB beats all other fones!!!

Remove the battery, wait 3 minutes, put it back and see how long it takes to fully come on...... At the same rate, Nokia battery, for example, will last longer than that of a BlackBerry.

How do you use BIS to establish an Internet connection on a PC? A friend of mine subscribed to BBC hoping to use it on a PC, but it didn't work out. It was a waste because he didn't have a BlackBerry......

cupid4ig: oga first of all without ur bis u can still browse with ur phone browser, opera mini, 2go. bb is not meant for pinging alone it is idiots like u that believe it is only meant for pinging.ok let me as u why do u think celebrities use bb? if u think is because of pinging then u need to tro away ur phone cos u dont need it. my touch 9810 takes only 2mins to boot yes i know it takes time but i cant complain much. then battery yes the battery dont last that is if u have an active bis but the same thing goes to nokia and android phone try connect it on the internet without plugging it to light i give u 3hours the battery will run down, if u have enough money on ur phone try it one day and see for ur self undecided when i mean connect connect it and leave it for 3 or even 3 good hours dont connect and discount it. i have personally try it with my nokia n97 so pls if u dont know what to write just shut ur mouth and keep quite. by the way who asked u to review it i guess u dont have money for one mtcheeeeeew. tongue lipsrsealed undecided cry sad shocked angry

I never said you couldn't browse with your BlackBerry service on Opera Mini. I stated that you couldn't DOWNLOAD without BlackBerry service. Am I right?

It is false to say you could browse with your phone browser, that is BlackBerry Browser without an active BlackBerry service.

Back in the days, 2go was not compatible with BlackBerry service, but it is different today. If you make a fresh download, you will discover that 2go now depends on BlackBerry service. For me, this is not a good development because it has killed flexibility - you must buy BlackBerry service to now 2go. I just pray that they don't make Opera Mini dependent on BlackBerry service.

Talking about battery; can you in all honesty say that a BlackBerry battery is better than that of Nokia? Check Nokia C6-00: with constant Internet connection, the phone can run for more than 9 hours on 2G, and more than 7 hours on 3G. Can you in all sincerity say that a BlackBerry battery is better than that of Nokia?

I laugh when you said I didn't have money to acquire a BlackBerry. And who told you I don't have one, or can't buy one? Let me tell you one truth: BLACKBERRY IS CHEAPER THAN NOKIA AND OTHER SIMILAR DEVICES, EITHER IN TERMS OF ACQUISITION COST OR DATA COST! For example, with just N1,500, you can buy BlackBerry data capped at unlimited. However, even after spending N8,000, you still receive an average of 5G on a regular Internet package. If you are frank enough, you know which is cheaper to maintain.

Who says celebrities use BlackBerry in a way different from the way they use other brands? Apart from pinging, what other functionality does a BlackBerry offer that other mobile devices don't, or can't offer? Just know that with WhatsApp, the exclusivity of BBM is now diminished.

In conclusion, anyone who buys a BlackBerry device based on the hype about it is likely going to regret it. The exaggerated publicity about it will make you think it is a miracle machine. So, when you buy it, you will be expecting to see more, and on discovering that there is "nothing much" about it, you become "not so enthusiastic" about it.

What do you have to say to D sage's comment who is also a BlackBerry user?

See D sage's comment:
The guy is right to some extent, BB is suck especially if you are not subscribe. I'm a BB user,I can tell u all what he listed above was true.

mrkels: These are so not the weak points of a BlackBerry.

So tell us the weak points "of a BlackBerry."

mrkels: It is evident that you have used a Chinko blackberry!

Let me tell you, You can't buy "Chinko BlackBerry" without knowing it [before or after] because it can't run BIS or BBC. Any phone that runs BIS or BBC must be an original Blackberry!

The only reason I'll ever go for a BlackBerry device is, if I want to be on the BlackBerry Messenger app and if, and when the BIS and BBC can be used to establish an unlimited Internet connection on a regular PC. Or, if someone presents it to me as a gift.

THERE IS NO OTHER THING THAT BLACKBERRY IS PARTICULARLY GOOD FOR, APART FROM BLACKBERRY MESSENGER.

Is it application-wise? In fact, among all smartphones, BlackBerry has the fewest number of applications it can run.

Is it flexibility? To use BlackBerry service, you must buy its service in whole, you can't use, say N17 to BBM for the meantime; you must subscribe.

Is it Battery? Hmmmmmm. Your guess is as good as mine.

Even if you have a regular Internet subscription, you will still need to buy BlackBerry service before you can download with its browser.

Remove the battery of a BlackBerry device, put it back, and it will take at least 5 minutes to fully power on.

Prove any of the things I said about BlackBerry wrong.

Romance / Re: He Paid My School Fees But I Want To Dump Him by charlsecy4(m): 10:58pm On Jul 18, 2012
Before I begin, let me say that the girl failed hopelessly when she said she has "repaid" him by giving him sex "anytime and anywhere." I wonder where women got this silly idea that when it comes to sex, they do the "giving," while the man does the "enjoying."

First, it must be noted that marriage is not a reward system. You don't marry a person simply because they have helped you, now or in the past. There is nothing wrong with the man wanting to marry a girl he has trained, if he loves her. Equally, there is nothing wrong with the girl not wanting to marry a man that has helped her, if she thinks she doesn't love him. It is because some ill-advised people tend to see marriage as a payment system that problems usually arise. The girl feels she is "owing" the man marriage, but doesn't want to, or can't "pay" him. The man probably also feel that the girl is "his own," since he has trained her.

My advice is that they shouldn't go ahead with the marriage. A real marriage is founded on mutual desire, love and tolerance. The girl has to humbly explain to the man that she can't go ahead to marry him. Definitely, this is where the trouble lies. The girl asked "How best can I tell him that he is not my type without hurting his feelings?" Well, there is no way she won't "hurt his feelings" if she tells him she can't continue, but she must tell him.

She should invite him over in the open, maybe in an eatery, sit him down, and tell him she can't continue with the relationship. She should tell him that she doesn't love him enough to want to marry him. She should separate herself from the man physically. If the man is discerning enough, he should understand you can't pressure someone into marriage and expect to have a happy married life.

Marriages based on any of these below-mentioned elements are failure-bound:

He or she loves you.
Because of a pregnancy.
Because the person helped you in the past.
Out of fear that no one else will want to marry you.
Because all your friends are married.
For immigration purposes.
You are tired of being single.
You want to be free from parents.
You don't want people gossiping about the two of you living together.
To be intimate.
To ease loneliness.
To be happy.
To show you are an adult.
To save or help someone.
Because you want a baby.
For money.
You've always wanted a fancy wedding.
You think you are running out of time to get married.

Instead, marry for these reasons:

You are in love with one another.
A desire to share your life with another.
To have a lifetime companion.
Realistic expectations.
Willingness to help one another fulfill their own needs and dreams.
Willingness to tolerate each other's weaknesses.

And never neglect prayer and work in the success of a marriage.

Etisalat Nigeria pisses me up with their continuous SMS-based reminders. Any single inquiry you do, you will be informed via SMS, even after the information has been shown on the screen when you executed the USSD command. For example, when you do balance inquiry by dialling *232#, your balance will be shown on your device display, and then you will receive a notification telling you about your bonus data. And this SMS-based notification happens each time. That is the annoying aspect of it.

Why can't they integrate their bonus data information with the balance information that is shown on the screen when you do balance inquiry, rather than having a separate SMS notification?

Which network do you use? What is it you don't like about them?

Business / Sub-standard Goods: Who Is To Blame, Nigeria Or China? by charlsecy4(m): 3:45pm On Jul 13, 2012
If you get to the Nigerian markets, what abound is adulterated goods from China, some of them nearly unusable. Take key, for example: if you put a key - any type of key - on your house, within a space of months or even days, the key goes bad, and becomes unlockable or unopenable. This applies to other goods, sandals, wear, household equipment, electronics, parts, building materials, phones, and so forth.

Who do you think is to blame in this quality madness [and why], Nigeria, the buyer or China, the seller?

The LOOTITUDES

(1) And seeing the multitudes, Corruption went up into Aso Rock; and when he was set, the politicians came unto him;

(2) And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying:

(3) Blessed are the clueless in wisdom; for theirs is the Presidency of the nation.

(4) Blessed are they that rig elections, for they shall be elected.

(5) Blessed are the thieves; for they shall inherit the National Assembly.

(6) Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after public funds; for their accounts shall be filled.

(7) Blessed are the bribe-takers, for they shall obtain big bribes.

(cool Blessed are the Petroleum Ministers, for they shall loot trillions.

(9) Blessed are the bootlickers, for they shall be called the Federal Executhief Council.

(10) Blessed are they which are prosecuted for corruption’s sake; for theirs is the kingdom of wealth.

(11) Blessed are ye, when EFCC shall invite you, and interrogate you, and bring all manner of charges against you, for my sake.

(12) Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad; for fat are your accounts in Swiss banks; for so they prosecuted the politicians which were before you.

(13) Ye are the thieves of the nation; but if the thief has lost his craftiness, wherewith shall he be looting? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be charged to court, and be sentenced to prison.

(14) Ye are the liars of the nation, a lie that is carefully thought-out cannot be found out.

(15) Neither do politicians cook a big lie, and serve it to SaharaReporters, but to NTA; and it gives false hope unto all that watch the 9pm news.

(16) Let your gowns so flow before men, that they may see your big loots, and glorify your father which is in Ota.

(17) Think not that I am come to arrest the fuel marketers.

(18) For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one Naira or one Kobo shall not be left in the Federation Account, but all be looted away.

(19) Whosoever shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the Asiwaju in the kingdom of corruption; but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called BOT Chairman in the kingdom of corruption.

(20) For I say unto you, except your corruption shall exceeds the corruption of policemen and lawmakers, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of immunity.

(21) Ye have heard that it was said by them of the old time, thou shall not loot; and whosoever shall loot shall be in danger of the judgment:

(22) But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his party without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say, stop looting, shall be in danger of penury, the elder brother of poverty.

(23) Therefore if thou bring thy loot to the UK, and there rememberest that the EFCC has case against thee

(24) Leave thy loot in a UK bank and go to Dubai; first be reconciled to the EFCC Chairman and come and enjoy thy loot.

(25) Bribe thy prosecutors quickly while thou art in the way with him; lest at any time he deliver thee to the judge, and the judge sentence thee, and thou be cast into prison.

(26) Verily I say unto you, thou shall by no means come out thence, till thou hast entered a plea bargain.
