You don't see anything wrong? undecided

Don't you know things will be damn costly if the 5k note is introduced?

You'll be surprised when it's introduced, you could be buying some certain things that are not supposed to worth up to 1k for something like 3-5K.

Nigeria should even scrap 1k and 5H sef. The value will increase and price of things will reduce. What's US highest currency? Just 100 dollar right? While is our own now 1k and you want them to print 5k?

Don't you know the higher the amount the print, the more the 5,10,20,50 and 100 and even 200 becomes worthless? undecided

Politicians will loot money because it will be easier for them to move around with huge some of money without having to carry 10 bullion vans or whatsoever.

Do you have enough money or come from a rich family background to cope if it happens?

C'mon man, you're better than this. Stop saying things that make you look worthless online.
That's what you think. You are only looking at its disadvantages. The introduction of it can also limit the want for dollars. It's not all about inflation. Inflation is only when there is an over-circulation...not when there's a new money print.

And whoever told you politicians cannot loot more in dollars tho with or without it. You guys are always using traditional statistics to defend reality.

Printing new notes don't really affect the economy. It's corrupt leaders who do.

But it's the truth. Even in the Nigerian community abroad, or shared classes, you'll find an Indian helping you with trivial solutions to problems than a Nigerian.

Of course, it doesn't mean you shouldn't plan yourself well. Nobody was actually programmed to be your helper overseas....help yourself.... everyone works for a living..and for some, they leave their home to live in their work.

Not easy.

Romance › Re: My Neighbour's Experience At Access Bank by chatinent:
specialofficer:
Good day guys, this story actually happened to my neighbor, she's a POS operator, she sent 2 girls to go to the ATM to withdraw money for her so that she can use the money for her pos business, this isn't the first time she'll be sending them..

The girls went to the ATM and called the POS operator that they seized her card and bank said they can't give them the card and she has to come to the bank to get the card, so my neighbor rushed to the bank only for customer care representative to tell her that the card isn't in the bank, before you know it my neighbor was debited 150k from a POS , that means someone used her card to debit the money.

The problem now is the girls said ATM seized the card and bank are saying they didn't seize any card, my neighbor demanded for CCTV footage, bank showed her when they 2 girls were on quoque but didn't agree to show her the complete footage of the CCTV, that is to know if they actually seized the card, bank are claiming that they didn't seize the card but why can't they show us the complete footage? It's possible that someone from the bank took the debit card and withdrew the money and they're trying to cover for the person because I don't know why they're refusing to show us the complete footage..

Another scenario is that the girls planned it and Gave someone the ATM to go to pos and withdraw the money, my neighbor was able to track the POS people because she too is a POS operator and they told her that it was a guy that came to withdraw the money, now what I'm thinking is that the girls gave the guy the pin and ATM card because it's not possible for the guy to know the pin just like that without someone telling him the pin, but another thing that is confusing us again is that bank that is refusing to show the complete footage for us to ascertain if they truly seized the card.

My neighbor don't want to lock up the girls because they're her church members but 150k is a lot of money. Nairalanders please we really need your help, how do we go about this? Moderators please move this to front page so more people can give insights

Modified: According to the girls, immediately the card was seized by the ATM, they told security and security directed them to customer care, my neighbor asked the security and he confirmed but this is Nigeria anything can still happen, it's either an Insider in the bank or the girls
I promise not to say anything rude, but aje, believe me, Access Bank is the worst bank in Nigeria.

I won't take sides. Why? I know a banker can steal your money for free. I also know the girls can choose to be dishonest. But what I don't know is why they refused showing you guys the footage from the archives.

What about the debit narrations? To whom?

I'm sure the ATM has a hidden camera. Why isn't it checked?

Well, I don't think you invited enough shege when you went to the bank. Cos if you did, everywhere for don bi all gucci now.

Politics › Re: Fake Likes By Tinubu Bots by chatinent: 8:48am On Nov 29, 2022
Dear Seun,

My advice:

Bots are very common during electoral solicitations. And even to sponsor other things. Na normal thing.

Once I created a forum and administered it and started receiving bots, I censored+autoBan some keywords and the users of those. I also banned some email providers cos it seems most bots don't do @gmail.com, @yahoo.com that much (not saying all tho). So when I see a @ru.ehdjd.ft, and confirm its IP address is linked to other accounts, it's a ban for life. Banning their IP is a very helpful tool too.

Yes, it may cause some problems but if a normal user feels they have been banned unfairly, I think they can report. But why use a banned keyword anyways?

Anyways, you may need to add other security features like reCaptcha. The latest version of reCaptcha kills bots by a 80% margin.

What is more? In all honesty, your registration process is weak. Being a base of SMF then, I guess you didn't use the reCaptcha due to the several glitches it had on-boarding users then, or maybe it was self decision...but you need it now.

You also need to install some spambot blockers and banners that could filter popular parent bots and ban their child bots.

Add a lil fix on the processes too. Add more input fields. Add verification by phone number (don't allow Void numbers). It may be a bit expensive, but it saves.

I hope this helps.

Regards.

Isn't disposing old notes just because you want to create a new one Pennywise Man Foolish to a layman? I mean, disposing trillions of Nairas? Then pay more trillions to print new trillions to distribute to people who saved their old trillions digitally in order to access the new currency?

And all we see in the new designs are new colouring?

Or is it a smart move?

How can these new notes control inflation when the circulation will be at equilibrium to the old deposits? Of course, every billion billion has gone to the banks now. And the spending continues with the new notes after its release.

Inflation happens when there so much money in circulation. Isn't printing new money a means to produce more money available which still equates those trillions held in bank accounts? That means more money still? Then, how is inflation controlled?

Now the specimen is out already, haven't con artists already prepared the counterfeit since it will be a little difficult for petty traders to differentiate the fake from the original?

What happened to the coins? What happened to ENaira?

Basically, why are there Arabic signings on the legal tender?
Politics › What Will Happen To Old Naira Notes? by chatinent(op): 11:06pm On Nov 25, 2022
There are trillions of Nairas that will no longer be the legal tender come December, however, what will happen to those old notes?

Are they recycled?

Politics › Re: 2023: My Performance Will Help Secure Victory For PDP In Abia - Ikpeazu (Video) by chatinent:
Performance?

This is the most useless politician in Nigeria, talking about performance. Abia State looks like a dump for refuse and a palace for busstop touts.

I'll tell you a story about this foodflask-headed dunce. This failure, once a main road he would normally ply to his house gets in ruins in Abia, he would abandon that route and begin to follow another one. You can confirm this from those who have been to Amakama, Olokoro, in Umuahia. I mean, you would not see his fleet of Land Cruisers passing there.

Peradventure an individual repairs or retars that road or the community, he'll begin to ply the route again.

Coming to Aba, he has demolished the popular Waterside Market for no justifiable reason that, at least, internally generate revenue for the state. That place is virgin now. The road to Osisioma in the rainy days is so bad that people on foot would get accidents...how much more vehicles?

Coming to Obikabia, there are statues he mounted there. But ask me chief, do you mount statues on bad roads?

This is a man who normally visits that popular Ahia Nkwo in Obingwa to drink brukutu in those days while enjoying the football matches played by local leagues. That time, he was full of promises of what he'll do and all whatnot. Now ask me what he has done. Annoying thing is you'll see his posters littered everywhere showing roads he claim to have built. Haba mana, uncle, fear God!

I don't even want to talk about the tens of police officers and soldiers you will pass on the road extorting money from drivers. In fact, at exactly that Obikabia itself, the soldiers there can win the Grammys for extortion. God forgive that useless tout they use to do it there.

Oya enter Obingwa, that place still has the skeleton of the time the whites were with us.

The popular Ahia Ohuru, Ngwa road, and Ariaria markets generating good proceeds for the state is eyesore. Please don't ever wear white clothes going there.

I pity commercial drivers there. It's just as if they are working for the government. Omo, you need to see the taxes they pay. For example, from Gate, UMUAHIA, to Isicourt, you are paying two different types of taxes. From Isi Court to Ahia Ukwu, another different tax. These are places that isn't up to six minutes drive. Don't even go the Umuosu or Ngwa without keeping your tax money except you don't want to carry passengers. Even the Keke drivers are suffering!

Whenever I go to Abia, the only positivity alive is the will of hardworkers who tirelessly work day to the following day in these markets producing things the state government don't value.

The only achievement to his name is a rainbow low-budget flyover he mounted in Osisioma. This is the same man who wags his tail escorting Wike to commission myriad of flyovers Wike has done.

The craze is that they'll always find their way to the Senate cos of the political apathy present in the state.

While we blame Buhari for failing Nigeria, blame the state governor too. They are the first failures.

Ikpeazu really represents his name... The Last.
