tchidi This is really rude!! Why call her names? If not for condoms, how many people go fit stand to talk? Nobody is holy! While I don't encourage childbearing outside wedlock, he/she dat has no sin should cast d first stone!@^^ Onila claims to be "holier than thou"- infact a "virgin" . She is truly sad and miserable. I wonder why another woman will be so bitter/angry at another happy, self confident woman like Omotayo, if not for bad "bele" and jealousy huh |
ogugua Marrying Omotayo doesn't make him more of a man or lover to her, nor does it make him more of a father to Chinonso and the unborn child. He's happy. She's happy. Why complicate simplicity?@^^ Gbam+1000. Nigerians are such hypocrites and so judgemental that they can't even see how sad/sorry they sound . |
PhysicsQED Screw oil. Who is even talking about that?@^^ . That's very colourful. He is definitely an "oil" addict. That's a classic case of "oil-centric" mentality pervasive amongst Nigerians as if Humans have never survived without it. It is sheer laziness and befuddled thinking by those who perhaps have a vested interest in backwardness. Ideally as an African(Black), I'll love a powerful black nation preferably "Nigeria" but somehow I'm beginning to believe that Nigeria as it is now, is inherently weak and unlikely to fit the purpose of its "manifest destiny" as a "potential"black nation. |
PhysicsQED The obvious answer to the question in the title of the thread is that yes, Nigeria is better off split. I didn't use to think this way when I first joined this forum, but I quickly learned how irreconcilable our differences were. @^^ There's no such thing as "splitting the country on terms that are favourable to every group".What exactly is "favourable"? Everyone will have to re-alighn their politics/economic/cultural "desires"/affinities. I am genuinely worried/concerned about our very tiny(population) minorities being pushed into unions that are not wholesome/desireable perhaps. The rest will have to go back to their "homelands" and we can agree on basic "international" protocols governing business, travel or cooperation. Sincerely, I do not foresee war as most people preclude. Why would I want to fight a Kanuri because he/she wants to be on their own because of "oil", fish" or some other minerals. It is not easy to decide to go to war over something that's clearly not yours nor within close proximity to your territory. Somehow, some of our national looters and their cohorts have managed to sell the propaganda that they "love Nigeria" more than their own mothers yet they are the most unpatriotic by their actions and consumption patterns. They have a need/vested interest in the status quo. They preclude national conversation which doesn't necessarily imply break-up of the so called federation after all they have cobbled up a system that is inherently corrupt and favourable to their 'lootocratic' mind set/actions. Sadly, the looters come from everywhere in the federation minority or majority ethnic group. There will be "winners" or "losers" but that depends on the mind set/perception/creativity of the people involved. Nations have survived without "oil" etc. What are we afraid of ? |
Kay-Dee The king of gaffes !!!@^^ . Truthfully, the so called gaffes are serious "thinking" and deliberately designed to befuddle his supporters/Americans who do not exert themselves by reading nor thinking things through for self, most especially a "Politician's" speech plausible, correct or not. It is no wonder there are multitudes of pseudo-experts/commentators on every subject on U.S. tv to help "educate"/explain plain simple issues to gullible "natives" who have simply refused to exercise their brains. They are easily misled/deceived to believe "thrash". Is he not the male version of Palin after all, excepting the fact that he is very rich and Mormon with an air of "respectability" in the eyes of Americans . Truly Americans are no different from the Nigerian public - gullible, apathetic, ignorant and blessed with conniving/self absorbed/clueless politicians Harvard or not . Gaffes used to be part of the deal until attention to detail "busy bodies" with all manner of recording devices began to scrutinise speeches closely even for grammatical errors too . |
Jarus Yaya Toure couldn't make Barca first team and was shipped to England where he reviived his career.@^^ Are you sure you mean Yaya Toure? He couldn't make Barca first team? He was actually adjudged to be one of their best/reliable/regular players when he was at Barca. He was rarely left out except for injury reasons. If he was that "bad" he'll not be commanding the title of the highest paid footballer in England . Barca would like to have him back if they had the power to do so. |
ifihearam For how long na??@^^ . Nigerians are never responsible for their actions . |
MsDarkSkin why not?!Well, you know I'll be kind of worried that some "cooly" is groping your fine .... . Seriously, are you attracted to them besides the "common" cultural affinity as "islanders"? |
tom28 sometimes i wonder why is it that its only east african girls are the only african girls who lack a big backside.West african women are well endowed on their backsides and so are north african women and also southern african women but when it comes to african women from east africa they dont have a$$.@^^ Bro tom28, pls go check again if your assertion is correct . Have you seen/met Ugandans, Kenyans, Somalians, Tanzanians and females from Comoros islands? Please try to re focus your eyes/lens on the above people. You'll definitely have a pleasant second thought/discovery . |
fresh_dude You sound silly@^^ You obviously don't have a sense of humour nor appreciate it when one tries to inject some in a conversation. Have a good day and may you have interesting times . |
@ Morpheus24 Your explanations/information about genetics are very correct but you must acknowledge that some of us have deliberately chosen the path of ignorance/misinformation because somehow we don't want to disown our prejudices and inherent ignorance of the rest of Africa especially East Africa et al. It is like dogma/propaganda which has got hold of our people wholesale. There is so much hang-ups about "skin tone" and "hair texture " amongst our people that it is nauseating. It is the kind of pervasive attitudes one encounters amongst our kith and kin in the so called "New World". Sometimes I wonder where/when Nigerians acquired such ignorance/attitudes from. |
maclatunji Ryan Giggs is Half-Ethiopean, Half-Welsh. So kini big deal?@^^ Hi Bros you are wrong . Ryan is biracial- his father is mixed race from Sierra Leone and mother is Welsh. |
fresh_dude Me, I take pleasure in disappointing any babe that thinks she can milk a kobo out of me. Not that I have ANY to spare anyway.@^^ It is very sad that Nigerian men also have unsavoury "habits" with naija women which makes it almost symbiotic indeed. Well, you do have some qudi to spare . You are Naija na ![]() |
antitpiah Is that not what the National Assembly is for?@^^ I thought a "majority" Nigerians are not exactly satisfied/happy with the "National Assembly". Are you? If you know where you are from, then the issue of "which sovereign states" are going to be conferencing with each other"?- will not be a problem to you . Why are you adamantly against dialogue/conversation about the state of the nation? What are you afraid of? Is Nigeria written in stone? What is so special about Naija that we cannot talk about her/destroy it if we so wish ? It is man made so you and I have a right to do whatever we wish with it. As it is now, most "Nigerians" think it is not fit for purpose. Only a handful of persons from every part of the country are cynically looting and misappropriating our so called common wealth. If you are happy as things are fine! It is the democracy of our times too . |
MsDarkSkin he only guys I would date other than black are Indian men (from the caribbean).@^^ Fine babe why would you give it up for a "cooly" ? |
sexyval Everybody dat has commented here ,u are all idiots ,y are Nigeria girls acting like LovePeddlers ? Ona dey crase ! Blame it on d societal norms dat give little regards as to how d females fare, parents don't give daughters money bc wat d hell go fed for urselfs like others, women don't inherit property, they are always victimised in every aspect of life, how else can an undergraduate fed for themselve ?,as for d men ,u all disgust me , must u take advantage of every female ?,u have no idea how hard it is on d part of a female,u idiots!@ ^^ Are Nigerian women the most disadvantaged females in Africa/world? Why is it that Nigerian females have this unsavoury reputation "very mercenary" amongst African/black women? Are they so wretched or what ? Somehow I blame the gullible Naija men who seem to be easily dazzled/taken in by silly idle not so attractive females. |
401kk Those opposing the idea of a national conference on the grounds that we've held such futile conferences in the past are justified.@^^ When exactly did Nigerians ever had a "National Conference/conversation"? Talking and arguing(pointlessly) as you put it, is preferable than not "talking"/"arguing" at all . If it is only in Nigeria you hear of the term "National conference", then it is because we have a "peculiar" problem that other people(countries) do not have in abundance like us. For starters we have a handful of quasi terrorist groups operating in Nigeria(BH, MEND, Massob, OPC, and uncaring/unpatriotic ruling clique/lootocracy. Perhaps, all of these anomalies are natural/normal to you just like our bad roads and extra-judicial killings by our "police" men/women . It is obvious that a lot of Nigerians have internalised suffering/pain as normal attributes of a developing society instead of questioning/expecting the best from our so called "leaders". Ethiopia actually had a "national" conference to decide the future/cohesive nature of their country hence Eritrea broke away after many years of fighting. "National" conference does not necessarily imply "dissolution" or Break-up of the country(Nigeria). Nevertheless, if some sections want to break away so be it. What is so special or sacred about us being together or not? Presently, we are killing and hating each other like we are "enemies" at war, yet we do not have the guts to discus our fears and union which was imposed on us by our past colonial master. Are we so cowardly and dumb to have a conversation? What is our fear(s)? Are we so lazy to even contemplate/discus our inherent problems as a people? |
Nayah Not really Araboy, the reverse is much more common, and I said Black ladies are not really attracted to Arab guys trust me I'm living out there@+100 . I wonder which Arab nations he is talking about? Lebanon? Yemen? Syria? Saudi? or North Africans and Sudan? Well, the Sudanese females date anybody black or Arab too. The Moroccans and Egyptians are also free daters too. Algerians in France usually have hang-ups about their identity etc. It's a "colonial" thing with them. |
andrewza I don't agree that the rest of the EU followed tony bush sorry I mean blare. The UK dose not lead the EU in any real way. If there is a power in the EU it is germany. But I do agree the entire zim problem from unilateral independence to the end of the revolution till now has been one big mess the english caused.@^^(1) I never said/implied that UK leads the EU let alone have the kind of influence Germany and France wields amongst the EU members. (2) Of course there were guns in SA but in whose hands were the serious guns/ammo? whites/settlers of course!. The so called armed MK guys cannot be taken seriously . How many settlers did they harm let alone kill? I don't want to denigrate their struggle/valour etc but sincerely I don't take the so called freedom fighters of South Africa that seriouly compared to the Mocambiqans, Angolans, Namibians and of course the Zimbabweans where some 13yearl olds were actually fighting/dying.Your MK guys were into "grandiose" targets which they never managed to disable. SA was better policed(borders) and ruthless in every sense of the word hence the lower incidences of damage/fights if any. SA may have many soldiers but that does not explain away the general incompetence/ineptitude of the so called freedom fighters of SA. SA freedom protesters/fighters had a lot of goodwill/attention from the rest of the world hence the inevitable favourable "headlines". Sincerely many were indisciplined/drunk lacking any sense of purpose hence the school kids revolted against the "adults"/parents and took certain unsavoury actions against what they saw as decadence, cowardice and blatant indiscipline amongst the "adults" which still pervades the place. As you put it there was "lots of blood on the streets and a number of state of emergencies due to them". My friend, as a former SADF veteran, did you sincerely feel threatened or was your safety ever in doubt? You can't equate street disorders and occasional brou ha ha as serious armed struggle. Do you? May I ask a personal question? Why did you not take the option of "a conscientious objector" if you cared about the "injustice" meted out to the "owners" of the land(Africans). You "gladly" enlisted or got conscripted without any qualms . Well, I do not blame you but somehow I cannot prevent myself from thinking that it would have been better for everyone in SA to feel the pain equally in order to appreciate/respect each other. As it is now, nothing really have "changed" as to make the Afrikaaners to be a little contrite, less pompous, aggressive and inherently contemptuous of other people to the extent that some of them wanting a separate nation of their own or maybe they are a better "breed" of human beings than their SA cousins . andrewza, let's say goodbye and thanks for sharing your views/conversation. I appreciate your insight/views no matter how disagreeable it may sound. Have a good day. |
andrewza That a lot of small farmers. But who they selling it to I mean it is illegal to own foreign currency. Unless there is a lot of corruption. But still good work with the farmers and with the EU dropping sanctions and resuming AID they can actual turn it in to a good profit.@^^ You'll agree that the EU/other Europeans did not really sympathise with the British stance on Zimbabwe but had to "tow the line" so as not to be seen as "breaking the ranks" . The EU knew exactly what the "agreements" were in relation to the land issues but the Blair government chose to be intransigent and spread false propaganda against Mugabe which culminated in driving him even more recalcitrant and confrontational than he would be if the British kept to their side of the agreement- adequate funding for the "willing seller/willing buyer" for farm lands. The British only provided £20ml aligned to "democracy", a far cry from the agreed sum of about a billion promised. Most Zimbabweans were very much aware of the contents of the agreement hence the impatience/militancy. Besides, most were veterans so have lost any sense of fear/subservience which is still pervasive in South Africa even after "freedom"/apartheid. It will take generations before South Africans will be weaned from such mental slavery/hang-ups. It is expected anyway, since their experience was unlike Zimbabwe( gun toting freedom fighters). There is no substitute for the efficacy of actual "war" - win or lose in liberating a people from innate psychological fear/subservience. Yes, we must agree on something. We are trying to have a conversation about our mutual survival and the way forward . We are about life not death I hope . |
pazienza This is exactly what we have been saying, yorubas and the minorities willingly joined nigerian forces to team up against biafra, there is nothing wrong with that, but what irks us is when they start printing lies alledging the phantom biafra invasion of the mid west and the march to ore,as their reason for teaming up against biafra, or when they try to sell the propaganda that yorubaland was under siege by the northern soldiers, now that is an insult to our intelligence.@^^ I wonder why it irks you so much? Do the Yoruba not have the right to do what is right for their own survival? They do not have to justify their actions to anybody anyway if you really believe in "live and let live". Printing lies, propaganda and etc as you put it, is definitely an attribute of "warfare" and you cannot justifiably condemn them for that nor "teaming" up against Biafra as you saw it wrong. War and war time(s) is not a friendly game of football where there is an agreed rule and referee etc . You should be angry that the so called leaders(Biafra) did not enter into any "binding" treaty or agreement written down of course not some wishy washy oral conversation. Ojukwu is an historian and clever enough to know better but he like most Africans are easily taken in by mere "sentiments" as usual . It is War and subterfuge we are talking about here, not an "owanbe" party or "Atilogwu" dance competition . There is no right or wrong move whatsoever so long you can maintain your own rhythm/steps . |
. She is truly sad and miserable. I wonder why another woman will be so bitter/angry at another happy, self confident woman like Omotayo, if not for bad "bele" and jealousy huh
.

that some "cooly" is groping your fine ....
? Somehow I blame the gullible Naija men who seem to be easily dazzled/taken in by silly idle not so attractive females.
