Goke7: What they actually want is the Presidency, the idea or threat of wanting out is just a means to actualize this and a decoy to jump-start it to reality When I was in secondary then, precisely SS2 then, I remember the discussion I had with a kanuri classmate of mine called kabiru...and this is what he said,"Nigeria wouldn't want Igbos to have the presidency bkos with it,they'd simply carve Biāfra out and secede" So you can see that the common northerner understand that Biāfra is our endpoint... And no proud Igbo gives a damn about your useless presidency which I can't see how it has helped the northerners themselves who've had it for close to four decades and counting |

Who are u to speak for the Igbo's? Biafra is not their priority but presidency. We will support igbo president if we see changes in their behavior before 2023 He's speaking the mind of 95% of Igbos... Biāfra is an ideology that has the blood of our children. Igbos see the idea of an Igbo presidency as a Trojan horse, after all isn't it buhari that orchestrated a coup to forestall the emergence of Alex Ekwueme as President in 1987, when Shagari's tenure expired We the great Igbo nation has no need for presidency of a failed country |

dafuturis: It is surely a Yoruba-Igbo APC presidency come 2023 while we look forward to Igbo-Hausa/Middle beltan APC presidency in 2031.
NB: For the Igbo presidency to be achieved in 2031 they have to start doing away with their hate for other part of the country. A holistic approach is needed, it has to encompass all leaders of the region be it religious, political and monarchial in preaching love and peace to the people of the Southeast. By 2031 I should have set in motion plans that'd see the emergence of a unified Igbo state and the subsequent declaration of war on Nigeria. Seriously Igbos don't need the Presidency.. What we need is a leader who'd be fair to all, that's why it looked like we were fanatical about GEJ,bkos he was fair to all..even those who hated him with passion |

Ikechukwu48: Funniest thing is yolobas have never actually been good in finance. I was told and even read After the Biafra war, almost every federal company were handed to them....many were growing at that time and they liquiated those companies, majority closed down in a very short period of time and the ones that managed to survive became some piece of shit.
As for the rest of your post, Nwoke tell me about it. For some reason those yolobas are desperate to be seen as Igbo mates. Whenever none igbos praise Igbos like they usually do, the yolobas migrate to the thread to whin and scream how they are better and it is them that should be praised. What a comical bunch. Something I always say is....if you are Good as you think you are, you don't need to push it on others face for them to notice, people would notice but if you suck, noone would notice and only you will be blowing your trumpet and screaming "notice me" (so far yolobas have proven me right). Their desperation to be noticed is sad and hilarious as Bleep to me. Their jealousy is hilarious as hell because despite it all, they've yet to made a dent in any of their attempt to diminish Igbo advancement. Case in point: Phillip Emegweali. Despite yolobas started the rumors about him being fake (let's not forget the first people to call him a fraud was saharareporters), anyway, despite it all, the dude is still winning awards for his invention. I literally took a computer engineering course this summer to use as requirement for elective course. The textbook we used in that course still mentioned Phillip Emegwali. Our professor even lectured about him in class. I found it hilarious that despite yolobas effort, they've not made ONE SINGLE DENT in his reputation. He is still uplifted in the industry he works in. That's hilarious to me to be honest. Like recently, they literally posted a comment about something called "Proforce". Ironically enough, when googled, the individual is doing the same thing innosun is doing except he's unpopular and most of his products are in my opinion mediocre. But none the less, they try to pass him off as "manufacturer" yet it's the same lots that kept hating on insussons inventions and even pathetically took it up a notch to claim "he assemble car with chinese part". Yolobas envy of Igbos is so pathetic. At times I don't know the basis of all these envy |

But now they published truth about Ipob dividing, they now planning on boycotting, this igbos really think that Nigeria existence is up to them to decide. They usually think Nigeria cannot do without them, that's why they think boycotting vanguard will be the end of the newspaper, forgetting that they 1 among the other 350 ethnic groups in Nigeria. So if u refuse to buy, Yoruba, Hausa, Ijaw etc will buy their newspaper. lol. Almost 100% of pro biafrans are jobless and frustrated, so how do u intend to boycott the newspaper. Do u have money to buy one? Lol. Nigeria by percentages is Hausa Fulani 30% Yoruba 21% Igbo 19% Others 30% That means for every 100 Nigerians, 19 of them are Igbo... Is it the 81 that'd do the reading, when we know that 30 outta the remaining 81 get their info from BBC Awusa? Anioma was adopted as a generic name for all the ethnic groups living in the geographical area. Looking at your name...its clear you're a descendant of one of those Bini migrants. Having settled there as far back as 1000AD It still didn't stop the later Bini, igala, urhobo/isoko and Išan settlers from joining the Igbo aborigines. So its very possible that you're a descendant of those non Igbo settlers, and therefore very normal to claim not to be Igbo Your Anioma identity is better...and try and follow it up by creating Anioma state. Though i myt not b well historically schooled on whether Ojukwu offered to cede those provinces, but remember, those weren't d only oil rich provinces in Biafra...Gowon refused perhaps because he didn't trust Ojukwu, nd he knew that sooner Dan lata he myt still rise up stronger, so wat the Nigerian government did was total annihilation aimed at cutting biafrans from oil sources. And with the Nigerian blockade cutting off the Biafrans from their expected source of oil revenue from the Rivers province the Biafrans suffered untold hardship. Its natural for people to paint others in the same ink they're made up of... Gowon proved to be untrustworthy[check Aburi], so its natural for him to think that Ojukwu might be as petty as he was. I specified those provinces bkos they were the only Ijo provinces in Biāfra then... The other provinces having oil viz Aba, Ahoada were Igbo while Ogoni province was Ogoni. |

ehikwe22: Why do some people talk like they know nothing. Ogbunigwe can destroy any number of soldiers but not in one shot. Biafra soldiers are the most intelligent and resilient soldiers I've ever seen. They were able to stand and fight the Nigerian Army with higher weapons and manpower and also supported by the whole world for 3 years. They inflicted heavy casualties on the Nigerian soldiers that the Nigerian Army has to resort to killing innocent civilians. Nigerian Army lost more soldiers than the Biafran Army. Anyone in doubt should read the books on the biafran war both by Nigerian and Biafran generals.
I'm not Igbo and I was not part of the biafran republic but some of my people fought on solidarity with Biafra and most of the commanders and generals in Biafran army were from my tribe.
Igbos are really great people when it comes to some certain things. only a fool will try to deny that. Anioma is the only part of Igboland outside Biāfra that produced most of our military leadership... Our defense chief,Major General Efyong was from akwa ibom, our army chief Major General Maduebo was from Awka while our airforce and navy chiefs viz Ezeilo and Anuku were from Anioma(I heard Ezeilo was from Ukwuani while Anuku was from Ika) Aside them, our brigade commanders viz Nwawo, Nzeogwu, Okwuchime etc were from Anioma So are you Anioma? |

blueseacats: I hate talking about this war, but with people like you feeling like conquerors we can't go anywhere, without the Yoruba elite generals even 1000,000 of Hausa armed men could not have taken down one eastern state, cause according to all records they lacked the brain power, Hausa flight leutanants tried to bomb golden guinea breweries saveral times without hiting a target until Alani akininatde came and did in one try.
According to my uncle who saw the war firsthand, he said ogbunaigwe was actually developed to kill Nigerian soldiers en mass because they come to attack like cows and so they die. You will know the difference when a Yoruba general is in charge of a battalion and an Hausa guy.
With Britain and Russia supplying you hardware 24/7 it will be a war mistery up until today if Nigeria actually lost that war. So the enemy was charging like swarms to Biafran positions No wonder they sustained heavy casualties in excess of 3:1 Do you also know that the ogbunigwe was named so by an elderly man from the Oka(awka) area It was said that the man exclaimed in Igbo when he saw the casualties O gbuo fa n'igwe meaning that it killed them in their multitudes and that was how the name stuck! |

Yes the quest for control of resourses was a major issue, and DT was wat brought France to support Biafra, nd the U.S etc. on the Nigerian side. Control over petroleum in the Niger-Delta, was a paramount military objective of both sides nd their supporting parties. But apart from those mercenaries u said hired Ojukwu, Ojukwu did hire mercenaries. They were paid for there services in Biafran bonds. Ojukwu offered to cede the two Ijo provinces Biāfra had viz Brass(Yenegua) and Degema provinces[see map below] to Nigeria in order for the war to end and in return for Igbo territories seized in the Northern front...Gowon refused bkos his British masters wanted him to crush the Igbos The oil was in the two provinces Ojukwu offered in exchange for cessation of hostilities, why did Gowon refuse?

Abeg sit straight my people and stop living a lie. In every war of successions the warring parties will always have allies, people that will support you because of the benefits they stand to gain. Am sure and feel Ojukwu and his members had such allies that gave them the effrontery to stage such idiotic war. If I am right I would say the Germans; they were casualties of a dastardly staged war to conquer the world but lost like fowls. It is possible they wanted to win some small wars to get back to where they were and so would want to form allies with grieved souls like we had then so they decided to support some divisions and supply them with weaponry especially and machines to stage that war. If only we had technology to ascertain the origin of those machines then you see that am not far from the truth. Nobody in Nigeria at that time could manufacture match stick not to mention bullets. Abeg, I wish Ojukwu could give up is allies before his death, then nobody will have that boldness to post a lie like this but I will assume that not giving up his allies was the bravest he did in his lifetime. God bless the state of Nigeria and help us out of these lies so we can foxus on a better future for our generations to come. Maka onye a ^^
