Please how do they find out CastedDude: Yes, working more than 20 hours a week during school period is a reason for refusal of visa renewal. This is clearly stated on their website. I don't know why some people think they are smarter than the system. A student's primary aim in Ireland is to study not to work, and once the person works more than expected, then it is assumed that he or she is not a genuine student. Some Nigerians think the authorities won't notice if they work more than 20 hours a week, which is a big fallacy. You can work up to 40 hours a week during holidays but not when school is in session. We should learn to abide by simple rules. |

My brother your story is touching... Do not marry because of sentiment that will be your worst mistakes ever... but if you think you love her enough to settle down with her just go ahead.. Bible says he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtain favour from the Lord. Your are very intelligent.. I will suggest you go for PHD and am optimistic you must get a good job there after. Goodluck!!!!! Bjrokenhear003: hi guys
Been a long time
i am indeed tired
Finally finished my Msc Accountiung and Finance from Griffith college with a H1(First Class)
I have a job i am currently managing and if i work 5 days i make about 350euros weekly and sometimes above, its a menial job inside the cold room(-3 degrees)
When i started the job initially, i enjoyed it, but i have goals and ambition as i dont want to stay in that job for a long time
Now my issue is all the company i am applying to need stamp 4, only big four and top investment banks and firms hire stamp 1G holders. A lot of international student suffer this issue ATM. Only few courses such as computer science land jobs before finishing college.
I have applied and truthfully i am getting tired of my life because i cant see myself as a factory worker anylonger, my body is getting weak as days go on
i am only 27 years old and i have bright future ambitions set for myself In terms of savings, i am close to zero as cost of living is high, spend about 500 euros on rent, transport 80 euros and feeding both at work and home 130 monthly, lyka 15 euros.
truthfully i am tired and falling into depression little by little, its only my GF who is black dutch who brings joy to me atm. She earns triple of what i make
I am wondering if i marry her, i will get the stamp4 but am i ready with savings of 1k now, although the govt in europe care for their citizens but i am in the middle of the sea. I love her and would want to settle with her, yet i want to know her deeper before marriage., i get the stamp in 4-6 months if i do it this December.Love is sweet when the both parties are comfortable
Now the thought is, if i don't secure a good job after settling down, what is left for me. I love her so much and she is very confident in me that I will make it but i am losing confidence in myself after so many rejections from different company's. I worked as an accountant in Nigeria for 3 years, so I'm not a fresh graduate.
My father didn't make me suffer one day, i still have inherited wealth of 30k euros in treasury bills, so i wouldn't want to bring children into this world to suffer them
I am tired truthfully and confused at this stage, i need help. |

Wow!!!!! I am really happy for you.. this is God's favor.. you are a blessed child. Louiscares: Thanks for the information. I have gone to the school, the contact in international office didn't act as if I was late. I have gotten my ID card, and would complete my registration on Monday.
Also, I met someone in the school who has a room in his 2 bedroom apartment, so I will be checking out from my hotel tomorrow. The room is 290 Euros (all inclusive) and it's 15 to 20 minutes walk from the school.
In all these , I would say it is a God factor!.
Thanks for all your advise/contributions.

Louis |

The immigration officer didn't asked why I am resuming late, I was only asked if I have any documents to show, and I brought out copy of my tuition fees receipt, offer letter and 1 year medical insurance.
Please, is there anyone on this platform in Waterford? Kindly send me a message . I am looking for a temporary accommodation pending when I get myself sorted. We can split the bill's accordingly. I am in a hotel now, but would move out immediately I get a cheaper alternative.

I applied on the 5th of July and my orientation at AIT was 2nd September. 8 weeks would have been before the weekend of 30th of August. Having faith I even purchased a ticket for 31st. Where am I now! Heard my application was moved to Dublin who say it was received on the 23rd of August (7 weeks after submission). They are not willing to even prioritize these visa applications even if they were submitted early at the originating consulate. I know people that applied LATE, ending of July and early August that have received their visa. Right now I am on the verge of losing my admission, my ticket which i left open will be wasted as I do not intend on visiting Ireland after all this. THIS WAS GROSS MISCONDUCT! It also showed both the Abuja consulate and Dublin are not collaborating properly. If they were visa submission dates to Abuja would have been used to queue applications at dublin. Emotions are running wild sha, but let us wait and see the outcome of all this.[/quote] |

We dont need to cast all blame to Irish Embassy.. They know how their system works and has clearly stated that all application should be sent 8weeke of processing time, some could not adhere due to unforeseen circumstances. Abeg atimes we need to heed to instructions, knowing well that they do not have Naija mentatlity. vkyburnz: Hmm....Question? How does UK handle over 100,000+ study visa applications from Nigeria alone during peak periods and still maintain Three Weeks Turnaround period?
It's not funny. Some here have received deferral notice from school programme coordinators to forego starting programme this September as lectures have already begun.
Possible Implications? • another €500 deferral charge • €180 insurance wasted (will have to be purchased again) • €400 booking charges for residence possibly gone (admin charges will come in where refund is possible) • possible 10% admin charges for fees paid during refund • possible N46, 950 visa fees wasted • wasted One Year (huge and impacts ones goals/progress) • emotional trauma & pains • etc..etc..etc...etc
Either this is deliberate or a case of gross incompetence. Either way, we bear the brunt and the losses/pains that comes with these frustrating delays and screwed up visa process!!!
Saying as it is... |

You can also use student copy since its the school that gave o you.. at most they will confirm from the school but you will need to notarise it to make a legal and official document. samhardy: Hello house, I appreciate the concise info this thread has given out to help student visa processing easier for those coming to Ireland to study... I have a questions I need someone here to help me answer, I applied 4 my university transcript but d uni TLD me they can't give me the original copy except they send it over to the higher institution that requires it but there is a student copy that can be handed over to me. My question is CAN I USE A TRANSCRIPT (STUDENT COPY) TO APPLY FOR SCHOOL ADMISSION & VISA? WILL THE IRELAND EMBASSY ACCEPT A STUDENT COPY TRANSCRIPT FOR VISA APPROVAL? Anyone who can help me with genuine info! |

Its just an introduction letter from your company but my concerns is must you state in the letter that you are going for a study? If your HR just introduce as a staff without mentioning to the embassy that you are going for a study.. will the embassy frown at it? vkyburnz: Maybe the purpose of the letter is not clear to us.... Is it an introductory letter or a reference saying you are working (or worked) for them? is it to prove your employment status or what?
Maybe you need to state the exact purpose of the letter as it relates to your application and personal circumstances |

Go for PTE, its much easier. I did not study for a long time (just few days not at all times) infact call that I did not study but I had score 41. If you study well, you will come out with good scores. Secondly why not choose schools that does not require english test then you can use your already written IELTS fot visa processing instead of sitting for another english test. My opinion anyway ANEGBE84: Good morning house PLS I wrote IELTS b for I got 5.5 overall band, and DBS said dey need 6.0 overall band, now I wanted to put in for PTE, PLS which is easily. |
