Lieutenant General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma

T.Y. Danjuma, GCON, is the Chairman of May & Baker Nigeria Plc and had once single-handedly bailed the company from financial straits with a multi-billion Naira loan.

He has 254,841,302 units of shares in May & Baker Plc which was trading at N3.20 per share as at our cut-off date. This gives him a net worth of N815 million.

Coastal Road today.
Hi-tech is already done with about 1km of the road pavement with street lights installed on both sides and at the median.

The rail line will begin at Jakande.

These people are not smiling at all.
Keep it up.
This is a complete propaganda.
The superhighway project is expected to have railway lines with the lanes, unfortunately, this picture has none or provisions for its construction in the nearest future.

😂
Just like Gov. Makinde said, state policing is a constitution affair and should be handed over to the house of assembly and not governors or it forum.
All these political brouhaha, reveals a lot of the executives uncommitted interest to the full implementation of state policing, because, it will endanger the president's second tenure ambition, and if he chooses to implement it, in his second term, the National assembly will frustrate the bill till the end of his tenure.
That's is why state policing comes with lots of lip service, and should be handle cautiously if you as an individual has a critical decision in your life that factors in state policing as a variable.

BusinessRe: FOREX Crisis: FG Slams $10 Billion Fine On Binance by Chibzynj: 1:38pm On Mar 01, 2024
Mrzed:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/nairametrics.com/2024/03/01/forex-crisis-fg-slams-10-billion-fine-on-binance/%3famp=1
It is unfortunate that binance had to take all the blames of bad policies initiated by government over the past years.
I may not be in support of all the activities of binance in Nigeria, especially running business in Nigeria without proper registration, but I m quite sure the government of Nigeria created room for it.
Before the advent of cryptocurrency, in which binance is a major stakeholder, international transactions were being carried out over the counter in banks, with Nigerians having the ability to directly convert the money in their Naira account to dollar at official exchange rate without any difficulty.
Today or will I say before the the era of FX reform, no Nigerian can carry out FX transactions over the counter in Nigerian bank without having a domicilary account. Nigerian banks started making it difficulty for peoples fund in Naira account to be directly converted to foreign currency for international transactions. The banks choose to sell the dollar allocated to them, to bureau de change (BDC) and then direct their customers to buy form BDC, claiming no foreign currency (dollar) to sell.
The emergency of binance saved Nigerians the stress and security risk involve in going to bank to withdraw their money, in order to go to BDC that will offer the best price, to make exchange, then return back with the foreign currency to the same bank they withdraw the money from, to carry out same international transactions at an exorbitant charge.
Binance, maybe taking all the blames today, but it still remains one of the cheapest means of send and receiving funds internationally.

Peace ✌

CareerRe: My Boss Calls Me All The Time. by Chibzynj: 3:26pm On Oct 02, 2023
Opanka44:
Good day my beautiful people here. Nairaland is my Family because I don't have a physical/Blood-related family and I believe I'll get the appropriate counsel here.

So, I work as a teacher of Mathematics in a Private School. The school is almost 3years since it's establishment while I'm over 2years working there.

My Employers(Husband & wife) are the Best you can ever have as far as the teaching job is concerned. They pay on time and are easygoing people. However, almost all the staff(42 staff) aren't happy with the fact that they give parents and students more concern at the detriment of the staff. As in, you can't get into a conflict with a learner or parent & ever expect to win the case even when it is obvious you're Right.

They allow the parents to decide what goes on in the school. And this isn't going down well with many of the staff. Parents moan a lot when u give them such chance. At a point I had to tell my boss that I was resigning, but he pleaded with me to stay and I stayed. But I'm really getting fed up.

The other thing is his incessant and unsolicited calls. I've worked in Eight schools in four different states of this country & I hate to be friends with my employers cos I have learnt a lot based on my previous experiences.

Such relationship doesn't end well cos I'm always at the receiving end. Truth is, I love the sch so much. The pay is not even up to 40k but I bless God. Aside doing my job, I also advise him on way forward as regards the sch. I even won the Best teacher's award last session.

I feel really uncomfortable with the way he calls me everyday even on weekends and odd hours. I no longer have my Privacy. He calls for very trivial reasons and it's about what I should do, how parents are complaining about some particular issues.

You hardly get applause for been dedicated to work. He is so quick to criticize, but never gives credit when he should. No matter how perfect you are at your job, once there's one little stain on it, it has dented every other good deeds. It's really so demoralizing and we the staff are not happy. There's no staff there that isn't hardworking, so why not overlook a few mistakes? I understand it's Business but his staff are also humans.

At times, I will have to either put off my two phones or put the phones on DND so as to avoid his calls. He has all my three lines. I had to stylishly ask some other close colleagues of mine if they also received such numerous calls form our Boss, but they said No.

So why is mine different?
Hello dear,
My sincere advice to you is don't quit except u have gotten another place that is better, or urside hustle has started paying well that u can sustain urself financially.
Most Nigerian employers are very exploitative, thus u should learn to call them to order once they are overstepping their boundaries.
If ur employment letter states 7am to 4pm every weekday for instance, follow that religiously. Not doing that earned 50k max. worth of gift for 12months with restlessness that denies u the ability to think for urself or engage in profitable personal venture / peace of mind, as best employee of the year.
There is saying in igbo language that " onye nmiri furu ukwu ya ka o n' eri ". Because some of us has been in such situation before.
Therefore learn to avoid things like this in any organization u found urself as they are part of professional experience u share on ur CV whenever u send them in for employment.
Goodluck as u work towards its correction.

Tinubu inviting Wike to his camp might be the end of them

Do you know Atiku is fighting everything to bring Tinubu down because to get at Wike

Wike make Sure you remain in power forever oo
Kindly note that Wike didn't do anything to Atiku, but only stood up to what he believed to be right, and fought it to the end.
It should be known that Wike, Tinubu and a host of others are part of the finest politician our country has ever produced. Why? They are people who have assimilated the ideology of their party since 1999, and are ready to stand by it, irrespective of the turbulence that keeps springing up from it over time. This is unlike some feeble once among them who do not stand for anything but their pocket. If their interest is not fully represented, they immediately change their color by cross-carpeting to another party with their followers.
Let it be known that it will take leaders like Wike to develop our polity to the level of United state polity, where a Democrat remains a Democrat and a Republican remains a republican irrespective of full representation of their personal political interest.

Leaders are not suppose to be isolated from the realities of their environment, especially after election, as it helps them put up people oriented policies that fosters development, not always depending on the feedbacks from political vultures surrounding the seat of power.
That's why leaders like Dave Umahi, Babatunde Fashola, and Peter Obi are highly loved 😍 by many.
