SportsRe: Ebola: Morocco Will No Longer Host 2015 Nations Cup by chidexy(m): 12:19pm On Oct 18, 2014
Raiders:
ok bro, I got confused with the dates. I still don't see anything wrong with AFCON held every 2 years. But I think it should be move to summer and not during the middle of the season in January. Also caf should call it off till the ebola crisis is resolved
AFCON still holds every 2 years. 2017 host is supposed to be Libya (they switch with South Africa for 2013 due to security reasons), though they withdrew. CAF is still searching for potential host.

Morocco should come up with a better reason on why they are withdrawing as hosts. The countries currently being ravaged by Ebola are not going to qualify anyway, so why withdraw?

Let's hope another country will be able to step in and host the event

Genny, at 35, the "men" you look for have all been taken. All 35-45 year olds who are tall, handsome and are not intimidated by "success" are safely in the nest. You either be ready to displace someone else Mr Handsome, or be a second... wife, or better still, remain as you are.

Wishing you all the best though
PoliticsRe: E-11 And The Lessons Of History IN Ekiti. by chidexy(m): 1:46am On Oct 07, 2014
My thoughts on Ekiti imbroglio:

The swearing in will take place on the 16th of October, with Fayose taking his oath of office and assume leadership of the state. Like in previous election cycle, the greatest loser will be the judiciary - some judges would be disrobed at the end of it all. The worst case scenario would be for the Chief Judge of the state to refuse carrying out his duties, in which case, the NJC will remove him and have someone else replace him and swear Fayose in
AgricultureRe: Apple Cultivation In Nigeria.(pictures) by chidexy(m): 5:28pm On Sep 28, 2014
Guys, there's nothing wrong with the apple you buy off the street - the seed(s) can and do germinate. However, it needs a cold period to break the dormancy.

If you want to experiment with the seeds of the apple you buy, simply get the seeds, dry them for some days and pack them in a damp kitchen tissue paper or ordinary tissue paper and seal in a celophane bag (bread waterproof) and put it in a fridge for 2-3 months (1 month in a freezer will shorten the time but there's the danger of the embryo being damaged by frost).

After the 3 months in the fridge, bring the seeds out and plant in a nursery and it will grow.

You cannot grow apple as a commercial venture by planting through the seed. Apple is a cross pollinated plant and usually the tree you get from the seed will not be the same as the fruit you enjoyed and decided to save the seed from. However, if you are passionate about it, the best way to go about it is to plant as many different types and varieties of apple as possible and if you succeed in the next 5 years in getting a particular plant that gave you a nice apple, you may then multiply that particular plant vegetatively.
PoliticsRe: MUTINY: Convicted Soldiers Have A Strong Case, They Can’t Be Killed – Falana by chidexy(m): 11:50pm On Sep 16, 2014
lakpalakpa: Nice one Falana. The Ibo, Hausa and Yoruba soldiers will be eternally grateful to you if you can take up this case and ensure that their death sentences are commuted to prison terms.
The military as an institution has its own judicial process for matters which are strictly military in nature and I doubt if there's room for a "bloody civilian" like Falana to represent any of the accused and sentenced soldiers.

Perhaps, if the military justice system at some point merges into the appellate judicial system, then he might come in
FamilyRe: Who Comes For "Omugo" First? The Husband Or Wife's Mum? by chidexy(m): 10:55pm On Sep 07, 2014
Omugwo is a cultural thing and is regulated culturally. In my part of Igboland, the wife's mother is traditionally obligated to go for Omugwo for the first child. The MiL (the man's mother) gets to go first when the second child arrives. There are always cases where the girl's mother is not disposed (where her other daughter has had a baby recently and she's "omugworing" already) in such cases, the man's mother goes first

Keshi's value has just gone down by half. He should be offered only 3 million per month and if we get a draw or lose to South Africa, they should withdraw the offer totally.

PoliticsRe: 2015: APC Picks Tambuwal As Presidential Candidate – EXCLUSIVE OsunDefender Lies by chidexy(m): 4:15pm On Dec 17, 2013
Sloan: You and who did political arithmetic? Show me where I did any arithmetic or shut up if you can't! Anambra is NOT and can never be representative of Nigeria! That Ananmbra people made a certain choice is their decision but that does not mean their votes will be decisive in a presidential election. Otherwise, why did Ojukwu fail to even get 3% of the votes from all over the country when he contested for president? Except GEJ finds a way to rig the elections and is allowed to get away with it, there's no way he will EVER win another election inNigeria. Today, the governor and all (or most) LGs in Rivers State are in APC or leaning APC, you think they will work to give your retardeen a victory at the polls? Rivers is perhaps the most populated state in the SS. If APC gets a win in Rivers, Kano and Lagos, while clearing the entire north, west, parts of the middle belt (Kwara, etc) GEJ can never win or where will he find the numbers? Note that I have not even added SE to this equation as every Nigerian knows that the SE is the most unreliable of all parts of Nigeria in which elections is for the highest bidder and the most tribalistic. I hope you now have your Second Niger bridge, stoopid people!
Jonathan doesn't need a very wide margin to win the election in 2015. He needs just a simple majority and as things stand today, he has more than that, at the moment. Forget the talks about APC clearing SW. PDP will score more than 25% of the votes in ALL Southwest states and might even defeat APC candidate in 2 or 3 Southwest States. He already knows that, like in 2011, he's unlikely to do well in NE and NW states
PoliticsRe: Change Of Tactics In The North Checkmates Obj And Catches Jonathan In A Trap by chidexy(m): 12:46pm On Dec 13, 2013
hotwax: Says who. Do you know how APC is gaining ground in the south-west?

Come to Lagos and mention Jonathan. People will curse you. Offcuz he has Igbo-Ijaw in Lagos. But Yorubas are not smiling ooo.

GEJ is an insult to Nigeria.
GEJ might be an insult to the Yoruba, but certainly not Nigeria. And don't tell me that Yoruba as a block has bought into the APC agenda. What happened in Ondo state? Ogun State is still principally a PDP state and there are still pockets of Yorubas who are sympathetic to the PDP as a party in even hard core APC states like Lagos and Osun.

Besides, in politics, 1 year is almost an eternity. people will still switch allegiance as 2015 nears
PoliticsRe: Change Of Tactics In The North Checkmates Obj And Catches Jonathan In A Trap by chidexy(m): 12:36pm On Dec 13, 2013
henrysam: South west will still vote en mass for gej when it comes to presidential election but am sure of then voting for their respective gubernatorial candidate under apc.
The South West will be appeased before 2015 elections. CBN governor will be vacating his position early 2014 and that position will be "given" to the SW and Lagos - Ibadan Expressway would have receive appreciable facelift by then too
PoliticsRe: Change Of Tactics In The North Checkmates Obj And Catches Jonathan In A Trap by chidexy(m): 11:33am On Dec 13, 2013
TechWalker007: Can someone tell these Northern born2rule and their counterparts down South, to leave GEJ alone to focus on the transformation agenda!

They can vote him out when it's time.
Leave him alone, stop sabotaging his efforts!

My desire is that GEJ's team become more resolute in perfecting major projects in Power, Transportation, Aviation, Security, Agriculture, Education and Infrastructure.
Actually his traducers are afraid that if allowed unfettered to continue at the pace he is going, by 2015 they won't have any case against him
PoliticsRe: Change Of Tactics In The North Checkmates Obj And Catches Jonathan In A Trap by chidexy(m):
nkem Kalu: ...Is it not better then for us to sacrifice the dumb...JONATHAN and have peace than all these wastes on security without being secured. One funny thing is that he doesn't have the capability of crushing any insurgence or terrorism and as such his chapter is already closed in 2015.
And what sort of peace would that produce? - peace of the grave yard? Just to submit back to the yokes of the ruling northern oligarch and their cronies? And mortgage the future of our unborn children and the generation after us?

Like @PointB mentioned this is a make or mar point in the history of Nigeria. We seize it and enshrine a new order based on the people's will and not on the whims and caprices of a supposedly ruling elite
