Foreign Affairs › Re: Israel Plans Nuclear Strike On Iran by chidichris(m): 8:27pm On Jan 08, 2007
with or without this report, Isreal on several occassions has vowed not to see Iran develop nuclear weapon.
it is obvious here that isreal is a target and Tehran is not hiding her feelings.
it is not abnormal in any manner to defend one's life.
even in our law courts, it is always a different ball game when you kill in self defence.
such attacks are not secrets most times as they have to pass through debates in various law houses of a nation so the idea of reporters having knowledge is allowed.
it is believed that isreal has her satelite on tehran so the will definitely strike as soon as they observe any danger.
Politics › Re: 24 Hours Electricity In Rivers State? by chidichris(m): 8:12am On Jan 04, 2007
the big monkey in aso rock will be there again before the end of January to commission the same electricity. what a shame that a president will be involved in such a childish movie making.
it is a disgrace that our newspapers who attend commissioning of projects do not report further on the progress of the projects. it is most unfortunate that most if not all our media houses are out to promote ghost projects just to make money.
where in the developed world would a leader come out in the open to claim projects that are not existing.
i have seen everything in nigeria but the most disappointing thing remains pdp as a party.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Saddam Hussein Is Dead by chidichris(m): 8:06am On Jan 04, 2007
no matter how we look at it here, nebukadineze in the Bible was in the same shape of been above all human beings because he was a king. Saddam boasted a couple of years back and today he is gone.
all die be die.
biblically; those who live by the sword die by the sword. the man who knows how to kill have been killed.
if we call the killing political, what name do we give the killing poisioning of the kurdis and the execution of the dujail and the invassion of kuwait.
power coorrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. he had absolute powers that will always see him ocme out victoriously in any election with a 100% result hence he can kill, poison, anex and do anything that comes to his mind.
what are we wasting time over a man who could kill two men marrying his daughters for just comdeming his leadership.
let him be killed again if he ventures to come up anywhere in our time.
other self claimed untouchables should benifit from this lesson.

Havilla,
am really really sorry about that and i plead that u withdraw whatsoever intention u have in volving your numerious lawyers as i cannot stand their preasures.
Afam,
till his death, saddam kept on pointing accussing fingers to the us and the persians(Iran). based on this one will be wondering whose interests the iranian president is protecting-the arabs or the muslims?

no matter how we look at the iranian president, he is only destroying his country and creating more enemies than friends and he did congratulate the killing yesterday.
by congratulating the killing, he is congratulating the us for eradicating dictectors' leadership but is he an exemtion to the rule.

it is obvious here that he will shift ground sooner than later, he is going the way of saddam, he started this way and ended up the way he did yesterday. the world will one day remember saddam either for his goodness or madness( check out saddam's legacies).

it is the world of God that those who live by sword die by sword. saddam the killer has been killed. he used to send people away through the same door he went yesterday and justice visited him yesterday and the law of karma(do unto others as u would want them to do unto u) took its place
Sports › Re: Plz Help Mikel Obi 's Career by chidichris(m): 9:39am On Dec 30, 2006
it is always easy to identify truths when ever u see them. Donzeman, ur last post here is a clear summary of the situation of mikel.
most ppl do get carried away so quickly. mikel has got the stuff and he will use them well only if he kools down.
about tackles, in his position, check or go through the long lists of young players playing his role, they are always like that. i would like to use patrick veira as a case study here. if you followed his youth days, he used to come from match bans to match bans as a result of yellow red cards. think about essien's first two seasonsat chelsea but is good to know now that essien is brushing up.
for his not been regular in the team, i see that as no problem at the moment, he will. remember, expensive players even when they are not doing well do not seat on the bench. ballack is one of those expensive players who will not be kept on the bench no matter how good mikel is. chekc out sheva, he is not doing well but he has to play bcs a lot of money is involved.
pls my bros, let us pray for the young man and let us be patient and hopeful, he will delieve but if he fails, u all shld hold me responsible.

i really can't remember excahnging words with u here or in where in the forum. i always read afam's line laughing but i feel so hurt reading ur lines especially u calling me indecent and intellectual declined individual. all the same, i lack words and would want the sleeping dog to lie.
coming here alone is good enough reason for me to recieve whatsoever insult that comes my way. thanks for your decency and intellectual inclinations.
Foreign Affairs › Re: War Is Not A Solution For Terrorism by chidichris(m): 9:11am On Dec 30, 2006
Afam, you and your able professor were right but i want to point out here that the sentence is still imcomplete.
war is not a solution to terrorism, so what is the solution? is either u contact him for answer or u provide one.
at this stage now, it is obvious that the problem is on ground now so we must not discuss causes of this terrorism at the middle of it so what we are surposed to be tackling now is the solution.
remember, is seeking peace, war is not out of it. also remember, right from time, the kingdom of God suffereth voilence and only the voilent taketh it by force. nothing good comes so easy.
the world today is calling bush as if he is the author. a senior cnn news correspondence interviewed osama in 1997 and he bold told him that they are going to attack the us. according to the journalist, he asked osama how since u are far from the us and the answer was given in sept.11 2001.
clinton, the man of peace was on seat yet terroprism was on.
whatsoever the cause of origin is, let us drop our blames and talk of solution as we do not know who will be where and when it will happen. it may be anyo of us.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Tehran- A Fresh Call For Isreal To Be Wiped Out Of The Map! by chidichris(op): 9:21am On Dec 29, 2006
Afam,
u have totally choosen insults in the place of points.
in debates or arguements, people try their best in producing points to superimpose that of his oponents but in your case u look very ready and outstanding in insulting everyone in this forum.
i have asked on several occassions, how or what do u think is a way out as regards the isreali/palestine conflict. voilence as you can see has done more harm than good since inception and another issue we have to look at is military capacities of of the two countries.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Tehran- A Fresh Call For Isreal To Be Wiped Out Of The Map! by chidichris(op): 10:50am On Dec 28, 2006
Shango, it is nice you are out to back the one and only afam. if you are asking about laws that allow isreal a right to exist then you are calling for their wipe out as the iranian president is doing. how on earth are u asking the law that establish isreal as a legal state? wonders. anyway, in the laws of un countries have right to self defence from external agression. if nigeria today decides to use bibed wires to guide its boarders, it will be allowed as long as it does not affect the comfort of her neighbours.
are you not aware of the boarders of spains and morocco. if u do watch cnn and bbc, u will not ask why. are u not aware that a man sourrounded by enemies always watch over his life. berlin wall was there to seperate the two germans untill they agreed on unity again.
i want to believe u asked these question because u want to know not that u want to argue like our able afam.
every un member has legal rights to exist as well as legal rights to self defence.
for iran, their law makers have finally passed a bill asking the president to shift his ground and accept the un resolution over urenium enrichment and remember no country can exist alone no matter how rich and powerful it may seem.
afam,
you were contradcting muslims and arabs last time and i would want you to read via any international news line about saddam's comments over the problems in iraq.
in his words, he made it clear that the problems in iraq are caused by iraq's enemies the us and iranthe battle here is the battle for supremacy. the fall of saddam gave room for iran to emerge. the easiest way to achieve these personal interests are always to hide under religion and use isreali/palestine conflict a bakup.
if they are fighting a religious war, where is saudia arabia the leaders of muslim. sadam is his programme was to annex saudi after kuwait. why was saddam attacking kuwait? just the battle forsupremacy.
saudi arabia will not live to see iran obtain nuclea weapon. isreal will be the last to see iran achieve that. the iranians are persians and they do not agree with the arabs as they feel superior. it is difficult for iran to achieve her aim without using some of the arab because of the population here.
if anyone wants to atlk the interest of the muslims, the place to start it off will be saudi which is the holly land for the muslims. osama, wanted to atack sadam with the consent of saudi governement but they were looking at the days after the war which might see osama as a hero and he might take over saudi hence they invitation of the un(us).
we have to be realistic here. the ghanians in nigeria were able to leave because they still know their way back but if they were left for many years in nigeria and after most of them will inter marry with nigerians how will you be able to tell a half nigerian and half ghanian to go?
isreal is there and going and leaving to no where is not realistic and the only realistic thing here is peaceful co-existance.
but this does not make the radicals to be at ease. if palestines will be throwing stone at armoured tanks tell me what they will do if they have access to a tank itself.
Politics › Re: Between Obasanjo And Atiku, Who Is The Thief? by chidichris(m): 9:16am On Dec 27, 2006
i wish this an important exam as the answer is very simple.
obj is the thief here and atiku is deputy thief.
look at it this way, if obj is not athief and he has been harbouring a thief since 1999 it means he ispart of the gang.
look at all the criminal cases in nigeria since 1999, they all have links with obj. Bode George, Toney Annineh, Andy Uba, Chris Uba, Adenuga mention them, the presidential jet is always involved in all money laundary that involves air cargo unless he will tell us he doesn't know when his flights leaves the nigerian airspace for others.
if u want to confirm that obj is the real thief here, look at the internal security of nigeria since 1999, it is the worst ever since the history of nigeria. first time in our history that armed robbers will operate in the open for over 5 hours. thief begots thieves.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Tehran- A Fresh Call For Isreal To Be Wiped Out Of The Map! by chidichris(op): 9:08am On Dec 27, 2006
it is very unfortunate that we are not discussing or tackling the right issue here. it is either we are deep in our love or hatred for a party in the crisis or we are out to insult ourselves.

in honouring any agreement, there are always a pre-condition. in the first place, hamas and her alieds are calling for isreal's total withdrawal while the major un resolution is calling for co-existance. Abbas is working towards a peaceful resolution which will see both states exist along side each other but hamas sees him as a betrayal as voilence is always their watchword. Abbas met with isreali prime minister a couple of days back and their meeting was productive as isreal was able to release up to us$100 million for the running of the palestine governement.

in lebanon, the un resolution is the hezeboulah be disarmed and other conditions will follow suit. who is saying item 1 should not be treated before item 2?

we are all aware here that palestine militarily are far less than isreal. we are also aware that the possibility of a total withdrawal is as good as the possibilities of wipping isreal out of map as the iranian president demands.

we want a realistic solution. Afam, i plead that u drop ur arms here as say in a plain language what u think is the solution to the isreali/palestine conflict.

in my words, i still believe that voilence has done more harms than good hence i say peaceful resolution which must be a product of dialogue aim at the peaceful co-existance of the tow states.

if palestine lost their boarders in the course of loosing a war, i still believe they are still handicapped for a re-take via voilence let peace be the watchword here.

Afam, if you are talking politics and democracy, then you have to accept the fact that Gaddafi who is the president of libya till date is there by most times 100%(that is democracy) robert mugabe is the president of zimbabwe and is he is there by democracy( 100% votes), our own Abacha had the mandate of the people despite been a military man as was reflected by the various abacha continue campeigns and the abuja two million man match in support of his stay in power, Saddam hussien had 100% in all elections during his time in power and tht is democracy.

if iran has democray, were is the freedom of their press and how does or where does democracy exist without oposition?

Idi Amin of Uganda, Jomo Kenyata of kenya charles taylor of liberia, iyadima of togo are all remembered today for their democrartic leadership in their various countries.

we are the faith and hope of africa, we have to call a spade a spade whenever we see one.

i would like to reffer eah and every one of us here to watch the movie called Flight 93. put urself in the shoes of the passangers on board or see urself a a member of their family. see urself talking to ur loved one who i on a death roll. u can as well think of u been in th world trade centre on sept. 11, 2001. or believe that the bread winner of ur family was there. think about the shock and after effects of the incident and then wake up one morning to call those terrorists heros.

we want a voilent free societ where dialogue will always be the watch word as we do not know who the next victime will be. it could be me or u

the caretaker was angry with the tenant who got a vission from God. he wondered why God should choose an ordinary tenant instead of him the caretaker.
in him, it means a kind of coup as the tenant now will be planing to take over his position as a caretaker since God has started using him in the house.

Robby, if anyone deserved to be called stupid here, it is neither me nor you rather it should be your mother, your father and other members of your family for allowing things with little brains like you to co-exist with normal people as your type should be shld be in a private home with intensive care

the man is just bragging because among other countries, isreal will not allow that. Isreal has since mounthed a satelite to monitor their nuclear sites and will burst without notice as soon as they sense danger.
the world is afraid of what will result from isreal attacking iran.
if u watch the leadership of iran, u will find out that is not even the president talking rather the spiritual leader. he is the mentor and the founder and till date his pictures are pasted all the streets of iran.
there is no such forum like nairaland in iran and there is no anti - government press allowed in iran. even the worst military leader in nigeria gave room for the press to say their minds.

Afam,
sometimes u seat back read without partial attention. there is what we call hallow effect in pshycology and when one has thie hallow effect, it blocks ur mind from the normal way of understanding an issue.
america was attacked on sept 11 2001, could u please tell us on whose resolution the attackers did that.
saddam invaded kuwait and listed other countries in the region that will follow after kuwait and the region in fear called for american's intervention but along the line un stopped the war and asked iraq to open its doors for weapon inspectors to see.
the lasted between 1990 and 2003 when bush felt the threat is still there as long as the beast was still on seat. since he defied un resolution for over 13 years and nothing has been done what other reasons will us give for him to be attacked.
it may please u to know that un yesterday voted unanimously against iran and sanctions have been placed on your wisest man.
at least this will solidfy your stance as to convience all of us here that in the present life we are living the iran president is the only wise man among fool hence the sanction.
afam, unfortunately i do not know ur age but my advise here is that u grow up.
iranians are not happy with his mannerless speeches but unfortunately iran is not like nigeria where we can always say what we want.
nobody in iran can write what we write here on nairaland. there is no orji uzor kalu, gani, kayomo, soyinka or former oshomole there yet that is your ideal state.
the people of iran are living their lives in fear and the hands of liberation is very far from them and of late they are running out of iran and come to dubai u will speak with them and u know what it means to be under the kind of leadership they are in.
Politics › Abacha's Loot Rocvery - Why Him Alone by chidichris(op): 10:52am On Dec 24, 2006
nigeria in the past 46 years has got nothing less than 10 heads of states both military and civilians but till date, the present administration in her public funds recovery seems to concentrate only on abacha's loot.
it is believed that abacha looted over us$700 million and about us$500 million have been repatriated back to nigeria according to swiz bank.
the big question here is what about the other presidents?
could it be that they were upright in their dealings or are they untouchables?
why is abacha's case different?

Sista,
i don't want to sound rude in any manner but ur last post here is nothing to go by.
the blacks(africans) have got all the blessings they need from God and would not be needing any further gifts from the so called white to fix africa.
go through fact files and begin to appreciate God in his gift of mineral resources of different values and importance. use nigeria as a case study. what kind of mineral resources that we lack. talk about human resources, they are there as in physical and intellectual.
aperthied is the cheating of the blacks by the whites but what is the cheating of blacks by blacks(politics).
it is time we face the truth as the bible make it clear is that only the truth will set us free.
we are the achitects of our own problems. the charles taylors, the ibbs, the abachas and a very long lists of other are all africans and who derieve joy in joining the list of world millonaires why their people die in penury.
take a look at uae(dubai) a dry land with little oil which is their major mineral resources but the citizens are on permanent salaries working or not working with all the basic things of life made available to the citizenry.
who is saying we are not the achitect of our problems when a everyone who wants to be the president of nigeria will use power stability as his campeign point only to dump the idea as soon as he is elected.
the issue here is that our so called rulers have looked away from the problems of the masses pursing their personal interests and we have decided to decieve ourselves with the wites this, the whites that.
God has blessed us in all areas but we have refused to help our selves waiting for compensation from the whites. please how much compensation are we looking upto here and what is the guarantee that what happened to the funds recovered from abacha's loot will not happen to it.
my dear if your salary is not enough for u, over-time will not help neither.

unfortunately people can write yes when they want to write no. how can we be talking about the fall of chelsea when they are rising.
which chelsea is falling, is it the old chelsea of babyaro, zola etc or the new chelsea of our darling mikel, drogba, essien, ballack etc that is the threat of the football world.
for me, i enjoy winning and here i am, a fan to the winning side.
pls those of u man u fan, are u all done with the shock of the american take over which was an emulation of the chelsea don- chelsea serves as the pace setters here and for u arsenal fans, hmmmmmmmm am sorry because u have nothing to celebrate here, there are only two teams in the EPL at the moment with the other eighteen playing for the ticket fairs and history.
i can't really understand how fans whose teams are struggling at the middle of the table are prophesising fall for a team two points from leaders. who knows the name of the miracle that will see these other teams 10 points or more behind the first two to come up to the top-i suggest the name to be british wonders and miracle.
please for those of u who cannot beat them, it is time to join them. we cannot give-up wedding ceremony to attend burial.
man u is first but they are shivering with the dangerous forms chelsea is applying as they are coming from the over-taking lane and no one dares a moving train.

if we say we have one nigeria, why then are the laws controlling the school entrancies different? why are the laws controling the sales and distribution of petrol differs with regions?
intelligence and interests to me are gifts from God and using certain laws to balance the entrance rates is another way of re-visiting the sharing of gifts of God in our lives.
it is my suggestion here that the laws should be one no matter who is involved but if the quota system must be in place let it be in all ramifications because it is quit obvious here that the educational advantaged regions are disadvantaged in someother aspects so let the redistributions be all round or let there be none.

how does your explaination now relate to doom?
are u saying u cannot interprete hypocrites when they make statements?

waiting on the bench for people's time is never a crime and if liking people is good at least no one have find pleasure in liking another more than he does to himself.
pls if u consider mikel as a bro or friend just pray for him and not prophesising doom.

i can see frustration setting in here. the big question is, since when have uefa become EFCC? the much money man sees pleasure in spending so what is wrong if someone makes spending his hobby?
please is the england government suspecting any money laundary inccident here?
is efcc( uefa feeling for the don?
if zidane, figo, beckham, ronaldinho, ronaldo and ferdinand could cost so much money long time ago why can't this uefa allow this don who is spreading this money to get to us.
it is very unfortunate that even the africans don't see reason to be happy over this spending spray.
since the intervention of abromovic, how many laws have been suggested and unfortunately they are all funny make-ups. we are aware that englend is planing to force every club to play a minimum of six english players on the pitch at every minute of the game.
in this case one will see that foreign players will cost less or obtain england passport and thereby share their income with the british government.
how many english players are in chelsea and arsenal as to have six on the pitch at the same time?
all these new laws will end up doing more harm than good and many are not after the other effects of all these crazy laws just that at the first sight it is against chelsea so it can go.
while will someone complain against a move that is no where against the rules and regulations of the game. he is a such a confussed person.
please let those laws wiat till they sign meooooooooooooooooooooooo

4 play and others here who have been insulted in one way or the other, i sincerely regret the feelings and share that with u but i would like to remind each an everyone of us here that we are in a public place and in places like this, we are bound to meet different people of different ages and understandings. we are not surposed to be surprised with people's reactions and it is possible that if some of us meet others in person, we will have no bases to argue with them so internet per say is removing that class as phd holders and primary school drop-outs can argue here and u can imagine what that will look like.
like i said before, a typical iran man will not be happy with u for addressing him as an arab. iran threathened to boycout doha 2006 games organised by qatar simply because in the advertisement, the so called persian golf( sea) was addressed as arabian golf.
the problem of the region today could be traced to have passed beyond isreali - palestine. look at the fatah-hamas problems of late, see hezeboula versus lebanese president. check out the sunnis and the shiites. if we want to discuss un resolutions here, then all these groups have no place in the un since they are widely reffered as terrorist groups.
if we want to talk about solutions and someone is calling for 1968 boarders, i think the person is representing a different interest as the hamas and other anti-isreali factions are demanding for total withdrawal. from all angles of it one can even see that the problem has gone beyond the lands and boarders especially now the new call is for " wipe out" and with such word, a man in his right senses is saying iranian president is the wisest president in the world. elections held a couple of days back is showing that the much acclaimed wise man is loosing seats in his first ever electyion since his assumption of office.
if we have age brackets in nairaland, it will always be easy for people to know where they belong

gentlemen, i am really happy that everybody is showing maturity here once again in expressing his or herself.
there was an era occupied in the history of man by winner takes all. it was an era of "might is just" . i am talking about when a country will attack another and if it succeeds in winning the war, the land automatically becomes his and the people of the country will become slaves.
someone rightly mentioned here that both countries(isreal and palestine) have committed crimes against each other but i want say here, that is not the issue.
i want to see us talk about solutions. i want to see us think and digest the position of iranian president on this issue.
having been through different stages of violence over a period of time without solving the problem, will it be nice to put down arms and talk about other means of achieving peace like the moves of Abbas(palestine president) who believe in peaceful resolution.
all these issues are the main purpose of this topic as it is believed that muslims and christians are of this same making and could co-exist without problems. we want a world without isolation

does this represent oneness and one nigeria? should this law be revoked and still be allowed to prevail?
