Politics › Re: Mugabe Must Go by chidichris(m): 11:24am On Jun 11, 2007
if the western media is brainwashing all of us here, i don't know who is brainwashing you supporters of mugabe.
please has anyone here met face to face with someone from zimbabwe?
nigeria is a heaven and obasanjo is the saint of the millenium.
since the land reforms issues, what has happened?
are we all aware that most of the white farmers are presently in nigeria where obassanjo has promised to help them secure loans from any bank in nigeria?
the black opositions whose houses and properties are been destroyed on daily bases are white too.
when mandela was fighting the white in south every other african leader gave their surport but do you know till date south africa aid orgasation cannot supply foods to the dying populations of zimbabwe.
i have many zimbabwian friends here and they really can lecture you to start believing that the news of zimbabwe and their situation is not even heard.
they can't even send money directly to zimbabwe as their families have to travel to botswana to get western union because of the tax rates in zimbabwe.
why must a man rule a country for ever?
why do we think such a country cannot be ruled anyother one except mugabe?
the truth is always clear and it happened in togo when Eyadima died if not for the intervention of obj and others he would have taken the leadership without election and we will be here to say it is good.
no matter how we look at it someone mentioned castro here, when he was sick he handed over to his brother so if he gets better he will take it back as they are the only wise people in Cuba. wise men you are all wise indeed.
from father to son and from brother to brother leaving others to be good followers.
Politics › Re: Umaru Yar'adua: My Election Not Free And Fair by chidichris(m): 11:07am On Jun 11, 2007
Afam,
till when are you going to be like this? are we going to be learners of negatives only.
unfair elections in nigeria are been compared to that of america. why don't you compare the roads in nigeria and that of america? why don't you compare the security system in america and that of nigeria? why not compare the power supply to that america? why not compare the human rights in the two countries?
why not compare the standards of living in the two countries?
can you ever do without mentioning bush in any of your posts?
in your wiseness and wisdom, what are you in you councellorship ward, your local government, state and nigeria as a country talkless of west africa, africa and and the world? why and how do u in all ramifications put yourself above board.
the america u condem is by the special grace of God the best country in the world.
why don't you compare nigeria to such countries like ghana and togo instead of building csatles in the air.
a president in his wisdom went to a world meeting to tell the whole world that his position was not by the people's mind and we are to justify the move.
if that is a confession, then repentance must have forced that and if that is the case, he should have denounced his position and call for a fresh election.
we from time to time see criminals to police but they still face the law at the end of the day.
can someone tell me the difference between the justice melted on Ngige when it was confirmed that he was rigged into power in anambra? if he is telling us that he was rigged into power, then we wish to who by who and how and then confirm from the judiciary arm what the law of the land says about such acts and the actors.
it will be foolish for any people to work with a self confessed criminal who have come to preach justice.
such confession by means has created a hallow effect which will remain with the government for the next eight years.
he has gone a long way in telling the world how obasanjo the great have been fighting corruption since 1999.
he equally testified to his intention to stop the rulling elites - wow.
obasanjo mentioned it that old people will not rule nigeria again. meaning it has stopped with him and now yar adua ready to stop the ruling elites that is stopping with him. aren't nonsense. it must be from the babangidas. buharis, atikus, obasanjos or the likes- the born to rules and we will come back here to compare the decisssion with other countries yet we dye of hunger in a country blessed with all the natural resources of the earth.
for those who support these wicked acts, my prayers remains that same shall follow them like it is happening with our only Mustapha who is day dreaming in the same jail he used to visit like a king.
Sports › Re: Is Mikel The New Jj Okocha? by chidichris(m): 10:40am On Jun 10, 2007
Mikel to me should not be likened to okocha because as long as football is concerned okocha did not make the history we expected from him.
trace okocha from the day one till date and begin to wonder what went wrong with him.
despite all his moves with the leather, he got less medals and individual awards.
i see mikel as a refined okocha with sharp passes and football sense despite his age.
even okocha himself would want mikel to go more places with football than he did.
the boy is doing well and if things continue the way it is, we will one day come together to be proud of him as a good ambassador.
i know in the next 3 years, he will be having a warehouse for medals and awards in which area okocha failed.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Israel Doesn't Want Peace By Gideon Levy by chidichris(m): 10:21am On Jun 10, 2007
Tornadoz,
am not troubled with names but i am troubled with inabilities to face facts.
among all these conflicts with Isreal, could you please mention in a case where it is isreal versus another government.
the only clear case of such was palestine under arafat and for all we know, arafat has been linked with terrorism all the days of his life as he had one or two occassions been sentenced to death for terrorist acts that was before he became president.
i have asked here before and nobody answered that. what do you suggest isreal will do for peace to reign? 1967 baundries is out of it as it is not in the demands of the hamas led government. do you think isreal should withdraw totally as the hamas is calling for or should isreal be wiped out of the surface of the earth as the iranian president is calling for?
let us be giving our opinion on this not calling names.
what is the solution in your terms?
in the lebanese current war, there is no terms like human shield even when the terrorists are using palestine refugee camp. fattah and hamas are on daily war yet we fail to accept a fact here.
in lebanon, factions fighting government are termed terrorists while when to fight with isreal, it becomes a crime to call them terrorists.
how long do you think it will take all the anti-isreali groups to wipe out isreal as they have set as their target.
UN has on several occassions reconfirm that self defence is allowed and isreal will always defend herself from any foriegn agression.
if i had mentioned isreali arms capacity, it was just to reconfirm how calm they could be even with such possession as i urge you to tell me which among the middle east countries can be this calm with such abilities.
it will be simple for you and your group to tell us that UN is stupid and foolish while you are the wisest men ever in history.
i wish i could find my ways into your minds to know exactly your preffered solutions to middle east crises since you are not saying it out.
i want to ask again, if isreal does not want peace, who wants peace?
Politics › Re: Efcc Not To Investigate Ehindero's Corruption Allegation by chidichris(m): 9:48am On Jun 10, 2007
the problem here is not who investigate him because an ordinary okada man in the streets of lagos can investigate corruption cases in nigeria because they do not hide them.
we should be thinking of where Ehindero belongs, where is his name in the good books or the black books.
one has to think of why the sudden removal.
if we look back at the event of balogun after obj's re-election of 2003 and the event of ehindero after the yar adua's selection( sorry election), it will be simple to understand that police have been deeply involved in the selection of these politicians.
if his name is in the bad books, only God can safe him because investigations and punishments in nigeria are determined in aso rock by rock so whosoever is going to investigate him will only interprete already written scripts.
Politics › Obj For The Luckiest Nigerian Award by chidichris(op): 9:33am On Jun 10, 2007
am sorry i have to copy and paste here but it is worth doing so enjoy urself;

Obasanjo is the "luckiest" and the "greatest" Nigerian to be alive and ever to be. No Nigerian has been as lucky and as blessed by Nigeria more than Obasanjo has been. He is the only man in Nigeria to have been both a military and civilian president. He is the only Nigerian to taste power for more than eleven years. He is the only southerner who became president without labouring for it. Awo and Zik laboured assiduously in vain for it and Abiola was denied it when he got it, and later murdered in vain. He is the only death row prisoner in Nigeria to ever be begged to be president and who ever became a President. Obasanjo is the only civilian president to have finished his tenure without a coup and who dared even to harass Nigeria for a third term. Oh no! It should be forth term - first as a military, second as a tourist, third as a civilian dictator and forth as a haunted ghost in Aso Rock. He is really a lucky man.

He is the only man to have contested and won the presidential election while losing in his street, ward, state and region. He is the only man alive in Nigeria who could dare contest the presidential election in Nigeria in this era of money politics with only twenty thousand naira in his account and still win. He is the only man in Nigeria with the Midas touch, who could transform his twenty thousand naira savings in 1999 into billions of dollars and ownership of most blue chip companies in Nigeria in 2007, the biblical man with ten talents must be enormously envious of our dear great and beloved Obasanjo. No Nigerian Leader has got so much money as Obasanjo got during his eight year tenure as our president - yet, he is fighting Atiku and co for PTDF peas. The net revenue of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 is much more than the net revenue of Nigeria from independence to 1999. What a Lucky man! I guess Babangida's twelve billion dollars looks like peanuts when compared to this.

Obasanjo is one of the few lucky great ones who saw death with their 'korokoro' eyes in Abacha's gulag and survived it, Shehu Musa Yar'Adua and MKO Abiola never survived it. He also broke the record as the first Nigerian leader to borrow money and taught other leaders the act of borrowing and sorrowing. It was our great Obasanjo that gave us our great national anthem in 1978 that asks God to guide our leaders to wrongs and calls for the building of a Nigeria where peace and injustice will reign. Obasanjo is the author also of many electoral reforms in Nigeria especially the law where the sole presidential vote is arithmetically more than a hundred million votes of Nigerians. The practicality and effectiveness of this came out very beautifully in the 2007 general elections. Obasanjo is a great democrat and a man of dialogue. He worked so effectively with the national assembly and the opposition. He is very tolerant of differing opinions and views, the late senate president, Chuba Okadigbo and Ghali Na'aba can eloquently testify to this.

No Nigerian however is as great as Obasanjo in the great legacies that he left behind for Nigerians. I doubt if we would ever get a leader of such gigantic legacies and greatness again in Nigeria. Such leaders come once in a life time. The great legacies which Obasanjo the great left for Nigeria are so much that it would be an insult to him and the essence of greatness if I claim to exhaust it here in this essay. I really hope that one day the United Nations will set up an international tribunal to write it down for future generations to read. The great legacies of our dear great president can be seen adorning every nook and cranny of Nigeria. It can be seen in the beautiful faces and life of the Nigerian poor masses as they excavate and scavenge dust-bins for their daily bread. It can be seen in our beautiful roads and road network which is considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient World. Obasanjo's great legacies can be seen in his foreign bank accounts and that of our other great politicians and public servants. There are not many politicians in the world who have had it so good financially as our former president and his cronies. However, Obasanjo's great achievements are seen more in these great legacies he left behind after his eight years as the civilian president of Nigeria.

The first of the great legacies of Obasanjo is NEPA. I really love the old acronym NEPA than PHCN, because like most confused Nigerians, I superstitiously still believe that PHCN means Poverty Holding Company of Nigeria. NEPA's meaning of 'Never Expect Power Again' is much better that PHCN. NEPA is one of the greatest legacies of Obasanjo. It has made Nigerians appreciate the value of the invention called electricity, the joy and ecstasy that Nigerians go into when NEPA visits them with few minutes or even few seconds of electricity is unbelievable. It has taught Nigerians how to operate only in the day time; even armed robbers do not operate again at night. Everyone now sleeps well in the night. Obasanjo's government inherited in 1999 around 3000 MW of electricity, they pumped a record 10 billion dollars into electric power generation. After everything, we have now less than 3000MW being generated. This is really a great achievement from our great president. I really guess it would be unpatriotic, ungrateful and idiotic of me to ask where the money disappeared to, judging from all the great benefits that have accrued to Nigerians by not having electricity. NEPA has really helped us so much; it has made Nigeria super industrially under-developed. This is because industries do not thrive where there is erratic or no power supply. This has saved us from the pollutions that come from those industries; we have only the pollutions that come from the generating sets that adorn every business and home to contend with. It has also saved us from the evil that comes from too much wealth and riches of industrialisation, is poverty no longer a blessing again? Obasanjo's NEPA has created more jobs for Nigerians; most of our young people have found jobs as armed robbers and prostitutes. Those less fortunate to get university education are Okada riders - but not in Abuja.

The great achievement of NEPA represents symbolically also the great feat that our great president achieved in other sectors of life and infrastructures in Nigeria. It represents our education system that is one of the best in the Stone Age world. Most or almost all the times the lecturers and teachers are on strike, and when they are not on strike, the students sit on windows, stones and on each other to listen to the lectures. It represents our airlines that are the safest in the world, the safest way to go to God. NEPA is the symbol of our police force, the best police force in the world in the act of abetting crime and harassing innocent citizens. It represents the decadence and rot in our health service which has really in a beneficial way brought back our traditional medical service and native doctors that were put out of business by western medicine. This has also led to the development of great medical research institutes, clinics and pharmaceutical companies inside Onitsha main market. NEPA represents many great things in the life of Nigerians. It represents the anxiety, agony, darkness, frustration and gloom which pervaded life in Nigeria under our great Obasanjo and still pervades it after he seemed to have gone.

Another great achievement of our great Obasanjo is the Odi massacre. This is the great representation of the good and enviable human right record of Obasanjo's government and how much value that our great Obasanjo and his government put on the value of their citizens. America government would foolishly do anything to protect her citizen, while Nigeria would readily massacre her own citizens. It is a representation of the great achievements of Obasanjo to the problem of the Niger-Delta. Odi massacre is the event where an impoverished village in the oil rich Bayelsa state was pulverised and desiccated by the invading army of their country, Nigeria. On the 9th of November 1999, seven policemen were murdered by some hoodlums near Odi. The town was given the ultimatum to produce the hoodlums or be erased out of human history. What a great way to fight crime? Few days later, the whole town was cordoned off in a so called reprisal to the murder of these policemen; operation 'Hakuri II', the Nigerian version of Gulf war two, immediately began. Heavy artillery, grenade launchers, military aircraft, heavy bombs and other deadly weapons were used freely by the invading army on the unarmed villagers of Odi. It was a very great and successful military operation, by the time the operation finished, only the local First bank branch building and the Anglican Church were the only buildings standing. On the situation of human life after the military invasion, Abdul Oroh, the director of CLO, who visited Odi after the massacre said, "We saw no single livestock, poultry or domestic animal except a stray cat." The devastation was absolute and total, it was a great military success that was worthy of our great civil war hero and commander in chief. It put our great Obasanjo in great pedestal with Saddam Hussein who gassed his own people to death and the Sudanese government who commits genocide against their own people of Darfur. Odi massacre represents the blueprint of Obasanjo's solution to the problem of Niger- Delta, an area that produces a great majority of Nigerian's oil wealth but ironically wallows in an indecent poverty, penury and pollution. Odi massacre represents our great Obasanjo's great blueprint of violence and militarization as the solutions to all problems. Insurgency and counter insurgency have become the hallmark of life in the oil producing communities today. Our great man, Obasanjo, share a big portion of praise and applause for that. One of the graffiti posted and left behind in Odi by one of the ravaging Nigerian soldiers present the situation graphically, "your oil or your life." Obasanjo will be greatly remembered for transforming the situation in the Niger delta into "your oil and your life."

Another great achievement of our great president is the epochal event of Ngigegate. This is about the great event of July 9, 2004, when the sitting governor of Anambra state then, Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige was "abdu-arrested" and forced to abdicate as the governor. In the early hours of that day, a big contingent of the dreaded MOPOL with an ungodly amount of arms stormed the government house in a commando like operation. They swiftly disarmed the governor's security; they arrested the governor and drag him off by the scruff of his neck to an unknown destination where he was imprisoned and reportedly given several slaps and lashes of cane. They claimed that they were acting on order from above. 'Above' in Nigeria is not heaven but Aso Rock. The mastermind of this brave and professional operation was a young illiterate civilian called Christian Uba. He is the younger brother to Andy Uba, one of the domestic houseboys of President Obasanjo. That event was very significant for it was the first time a civilian would organise a coup. Actually, it clearly destroyed the long monopoly which the Nigerian military has on execution of coup in Nigeria. That was also the first time a coup would be organised at the state level. Eventually, that became the prelude to more civilian coups in Nigeria with Obasanjo and Adedibu being the masterminds. After Ngigegate, it became clear to state legislators that it takes only two of them in a "suya" or "roasted corn" joint to impeach a governor. Obasanjo's involvement in this saga marks one of his greatest achievements in the history of democracy in Nigeria. Obasanjo first gave legitimacy to this coup by relegating it to the level of a family affair. He then went ahead and rewarded the coup plotters heavily while punishing heavily the Governor who was the symbol of democracy in the state. This was the first time in Nigeria that failed coup plotters were rewarded. Christian Uba, the mastermind of the coup was promoted to the Garrison commander of PDP in the East, he was given a very heavy police protection and was heavily patronised financially by the Federal Government. After this, Obasanjo defined politics as a business investment which must be protected and respected by all. Obasanjo's great intervention made it very clear to all political office holders that their position should be seen and respected as people's investment and not service to the people; corruption or no corruption. Politicians as men and women of honour must respect and fulfil the agreements they signed in shrines. This led to the rise of the god fathers and garrison politics. The rise and rise of Adedibu, the garrison commander of Oyo state represents excellently the great achievement of Obasanjo in this regard.

Another great legacy of Obasanjo is his corruption war. He fought the corruption war in a very intricate scientific way that not even Einstein could understand. He immediately showed Nigerians that he was ready to fight the corruption war and that it would no longer be business as usual when he got the auditor general of the country immediately dismissed for auditing the federal government account that indicted the incorruptible presidency. After this, he gave the highest honour in the country to one of the most honest Nigerian leaders, General Babangida. He established EFCC after that to show Nigerians that he meant business in the fight against corruption. EFCC was established by an act of the National assembly. Unfortunately, Nuhu Ribadu, an honest Nigerian policeman is at the head of it. He has defiantly proved that a Nigerian policeman could be honest - at least to a certain level. Obasanjo's EFCC has really emerged as one of the greatest things to happen to Nigeria. Obasanjo's EFCC has fought the corruption war in a scientific cum digital way that would make even Einstein go green with envy. EFCC has been able to research and prove to Nigerians that it is position and name that makes someone corrupt. You cannot be corrupt if you are in the good books and the inner circle of our all honest great man, General Matthew Obasanjo. Once you are Obasanjo's enthusiasts, supporter, sycophant, houseboy, lackey, in-law and family, you can never be corrupt, corruption can never be an attribute of you, no matter what you do or how much you loot. His moral uprightness rubs on you and makes you pure. Let nobody ask me to explain how this works. You can only be corrupt if you belong to the opposition or you are a friend of Atiku - show me your friend and I will tell you who you are. The mere fact that one belongs to the opposition makes him intrinsically corrupt, no matter what the person do. EFCC was also able to prove that it is only the name that you bear that really makes you corrupt. If you bear any of these names, Uba, Gbenga, Iyabo, Olabode George, Anenih, Adedibu, Akala, Babagida and few others, you can never be corrupt or indicted for corruption. I trust Nigerians; soon people will start giving these names to their children especially the criminal ones that politics will make a fine profession for. Obasanjo's EFCC scientifically also proved that corruption is totally determined by how much you steal, if you steal little like the little thief in Zamfara state, one of your hand is readily cut off but if your cart away the treasury with third term on your mouth, it becomes dividend of democracy and you are even prepared for bigger political offices. EFCC also achieved the scientific feat of proving to Nigerians that immunity is not an obstacle to fighting corruption, hence the likes of Chinwoke Mbadinuju, after collapsing a state, are still free and have still no case to answer when they are no longer under immunity. The great Mbadinuju of Anambra was even allowed to contest election under Obasanjo's PDP and under the nose of EFCC. I guess our great ex-president would soon be awarded the Noble price for his theories of corruption. I hereby humbly beg him to make his corruption theories into a compulsory course in his university and also other Nigeria universities.

The third term episode is one of the greatest achievements of Obasanjo the great. The third term debate was all about the attempt by Obasanjo the great to cling to power and in the process transform himself into the life president of Nigeria and possibly hand over to his son Gbenga or daughter Iyabo when he dies at a very ripe old age of one hundred and fifty. However, this attempt was successfully shot down by a lot of unpatriotic Nigerians after all the massive money, energy and time that were invested on the project by Obasanjo and his houseboys. The third term remains one of the greatest legacies that Obasanjo gave to Nigeria. He was able to show Nigeria how weak our democracy is, how it is centred on one man. An individual once described democracy in Nigeria as a Babacracy and not a democracy. I hope the individual is talking about government of Baba, by Baba and for Baba and not insinuating that Baba is crazy. Obasanjo has by his failed attempt on tenure elongation informed the new President, that tenure elongation or life presidency is always possible but you just have to start early, you cannot waste your first term touring round the world. Nigeria was the only loser in the third term episode; they lost the advantage of continuity and experience which leaders like Mobuto, kamuzu Banda and Mugabe gave to their countries by their sit-tightism. Nigeria lost a lot by rejecting the third term, they said no to democracy and government as defined by Obasanjoism, they said no to pot-holes as roads, mortuary as hospital, primary schools as universities, power failure as NEPA. They said no to fuel shortage and constant increase of fuel and kerosene price. They said no to hunger and suffering. The only source of redemption in the whole situation is that the great Obasanjo have not really gone. He is no longer the president but he is still in power, his ghost still hovers around Aso rock, restless and refusing to rest. He has managed to rig into power all his family, houseboys, lackeys and stooges. He installed even the wife and children of his friends and lackeys in power. I really think that he has finally achieved the third and even the fourth term as the ghost that forgot something in Aso rock.

Another great achievement of Obasanjo is Transcorp. Transcorp represents the economic achievement of Obasanjo during this his eight year tenure. It represents all his economic dealings and their benefits to Nigeria. This is the first time in history that a company of such magnitude as Transcorp will be created in Nigeria. Transcorp represents also the economic reforms of Obasanjo that is meant to impoverish the poor and enrich the rich. Otedola, Ovie and Dangote can readily explain this to us. Transcorp is totally owned by Obasanjo and his friends or fronts, depending on the angle that you look at it. It is Obasanjo's avenue of rewarding himself for all the sacrifices he has made for Nigeria. It is really a reward well deserved. The last few days of Obasanjo have totally revealed that Transcorp is the nation's parting gift of herself to Obasanjo for his great stewardship as he goes back to his animals in his farm where he really belongs. In a last minute and hurried privatisations that is un-questionable, Transcorp has managed to buy up the collective patrimony of Nigeria. It has bought Nigeria economically, Nigeria is totally owned now economically by few persons - no apologies even to Atiku. Soon, there may be a change of name for Nigeria; I guess the name Nigeria may be soon changed to Dangoteria or Transcorpia. Soon we may have to pay for the air we breath. Obasanjo has sold to himself and his fronts, the best of what we have as a nation. He has sold the economic soup of Nigeria to himself. NITEL, NICON, NNPC, Cement industries, steel mill, oil wells and many other national patrimonies were dashed by a grateful nation to Transcorp or Obasanjo. Obasanjo really deserved more than these, he has given all his life to Nigeria and he even generously gave us a parting gift of fifteen percent hike in petroleum, the sixth increase he is making since his 1999. In further demonstration of his love for Nigerians, he has also increased VAT taxation to ten percent. All these would help cushion the effect of the unwholesome last minute looting spree of the treasury by him and his boys. This will take care of the over one trillion naira last minute contracts that were awarded within the last fifteen days of his glorious reign. Some of the recently approved contracts have already being commissioned just few days after they were awarded. Nigerians would ever be so grateful and happy for these last minute contracts because of the way they are going to touch the lives of every Nigerian especially the poor. Among the last minute contracts awarded that will be of great benefit to Nigerians are: 21.4 billion naira for capacity building in the foreign affair ministry, (please, who understands what this means?), 2.3 billion for gifted and specially challenged children, 480 million to buy 60 Peugeot cars for presidential inauguration and 40 million to buy new uniform for 150 police officers at the price of 266.666 naira each. Wow! Police uniforms cost more than designers now.

The greatest of all the great legacies and heritage of Obasanjo is the election 2007. It is the murder of all elections, no, I mean mother of all elections. It is the greatest of all the elections that have been conducted since democracy began in the world - all the observers, both local and international testified to that. The rigging was excellent and beyond the conventional rigging. Election 2007 is Obasanjo at his vintage; it is the symbol of everything that Obasanjo represents from his religiousness to his transparency. The election umpire, Professor Maurice Iwu, a professor of Ebola Virus, is a study in honesty, patriotism and fairness. He was hired by Obasanjo to fix the election and he over fixed it. 2007 election was the fairest and freest Nigerian election, for Nigerians exercised their freedom by hiding at their homes courtesy of the Nigeria police and an army armed to the teeth as if they were going to war. Anyway, you cannot blame them, for our great Obasanjo already declared it as "a do or die election." The army and police were ever ready to make political martyr of anybody that dared demand his electoral rights. The foolish ones that ignored the new electoral reforms and dared come out to vote, hundreds of them lost their lives. Results and figures were awarded with no voting materials at voting stations. Votes were awarded in direct proportion to the closeness and relationship of candidates to Obasanjo, the father of our democracy. Those that are very close to Obasanjo like his former houseboy, his Excellency, Dr. Andy Uba got votes that were more than the registered voters in Anambra state. It was an election every Nigerian of all generations would be proud of; it was an election that totally defined Obasanjo's heritage and legacies to Nigeria. It was an election that made Obasanjo great and gave him a well deserved place in history with such other African greats like Idi Amin, Mobutu, Kamuzu Banda, Abacha, Samuel Doe and Mugabe.

it is natural that those who start wars that they cannot fight will always resort to insults.
how come people through their copy and paste ability will come to such a public place issues without enough information to back their copied works.
mosts surprising here is that our so called practising christains have not been abale to think of the promise land.
the exodus of isreal from egypt to,
men are providing facts and figures and reffering your all to issues pasts and presents and the best you can do in response is to call someone a morron.
pls intellectuals should tell us what started the last isreali-lebanese war, where was senioura the lebanese prime minister then and then let us know why this war in lebanon no and what is the current position of the same prime minister?
relate the issue of civilian casaulties to the previous war.
tell us what your understanding of human shield is?
when the truth is told, the inability to reply will resort to insults so everybody should learn to bear with them.
i am only happy that Afam has been cautioned on his copy cats and painting pastes so we will be seeing less of his posts on this forum. he has learnt to keep his documentaries to himself because the forum is becoming too hot for his copy and paste programmes. for those of you who made this work easy for us here via the presentations of endless evidences and proves based on facts and figures, i shift my cap for una- as i say, hip! hip!! hip!!! hurrayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy - bravo my brothers

if we go by what the author of this thread has presented via the words of gani, i think we are digressing.
the question here is not only yar adua's inability to appoint onovo who is a family friend of afam rather gani is asking, after 46 years of independence, why is it that no ibo man has be able to occupy the post of IGP?
the question here should be, are there bases or qualifications for this post? if yes, has an igbo man within this 46 years qualified for this post? if yes, why are they not giving it to the igbos? again, one should be able to ask if there are still constitutional provisions for this posts? if yes, are these provisions been voilated or adhere to?
it is unfortunate that most of us here have failed to know that democracy constitutionally gives room for oposition and that is why the whole world support democracy.
this is a government that gives room for people's opinion and thereby creats room for criticism which from time to time serves as a wake up call to the government in power.
wether we believe it or not, from inception, man is a selfish animal so the issue of been tribalistic will remain but what we should be talking about is to what extent.
afam, a good example of a non tribalistic man in the forum had to call his younger brother when he had the news of the new igp and his younger brother coincidentally was in the onovo of a man's office the same time-wow! wonders shall never end.
that yar adua is 1 day in office will not make people not to air their views atleast that will make him remember that all eyes are on him.
clinton while he was in power was facing criticisms and that does not make him a bad leader and most of the people who criticised him might have voted him the best president of america.
please my people open una eyes and begin to know ur left from ur right.
Politics › Re: Electricity - Is There No Solution by chidichris(m): 11:01am On Jun 07, 2007
i am out to disagree that our local contractors cannot do the roads well like julius berger or other foriegn contractors.
the problem here is incentives. let any government give the same contract to a foriegn company and a local company at the same cost and see the local contractor doing just the same or even better work.most of our local companies are been used by the so called opliticians to do their businesses and it is simple here to notice that such a big company like julius berger cannot descend so low for such cheap businesses.
if we talk electricity supply, it is as simple and difficult as anyother thing. sometimes people talk about nigerian population but unfortunate is not like that of india and china and people even talk about size then u can also look at the usa but a dog must have a bad name to worth killing.
to me, it is part of the aso rock corruption which ribadu and co must look at first before going into the streets to look for yahoo boys.
fraud and corruptions have decided to reside in the same aso rock where the FG makes its headquaters.
if FG wants electricity for the nation, they must start from somewhere. it is unfortunate that there is even power failure in aso rock talkless of our national stadium in the presence of the whole world.
the shame is worth probing yet nothing happens and someone out there is talking about a corruption fighting organisation in nigeria.
there is no one with clear mind to fight corruption otherwise people like ribadu should have called for FG to tell us nigerians how and where all the funds provided in our budgets at least in the past years are kept.

Politics › Re: Do You Think Mujahid Dokubo-asari Should Be Release? by chidichris(m): 8:35am On Jun 07, 2007
as long as we believe in democracy, FG must find out through the judiciary system what these people are fighting for.
if they are in for a just course, the FG must address that and make sure there is a balance in threatment.
who on earth will withstand a nigerian state if all these resources are from the north and yet they benefit little or nothing out of it?
obasanjo was doing all he could to satisfy his personal quest for wealth leaving behind the problems of the country.
it is time to address the problems of the niger delta and give them what is due to them.
for the minerals given them by God, i think they should the centre of attraction in nigeria with the federal government doing her best to see to the welfare of the people.
let FG release the man and solve the problems of niger delta and nigeria as a whole

Foreign Affairs › Re: Israel Doesn't Want Peace By Gideon Levy by chidichris(m): 11:02am On Jun 06, 2007
our major problem on this thread is that even those of us who are fighting for palestine are not in line with their demands.
they are not fighting for the 1967 boarders rather they are calling for "a total withdrawal" and possibly the eradication of isreal.
we have to know what we are fighting for. on seperate occassions, there have been calls from different people for isreal to be wiped out of the surface of the earth.
the hamas led government is not ready to recognise isreal as a state.
people should be informed well enough before engaging themselves in wars.
the iranian president made it clear to all that to him helocust did not happen and joked that if it happened isreal should be in any of the european countries and not in the middle east.
please if anyone here insists that the problem is 1967 boarders, i ask that he or she reffer me to any fact or prove of this.

if the thread is still who performed worst, i am giving that to our able Borrishade.
he did it in the education ministry and later to the aviation ministry and is still doing it in the information and culture ministry.
this man performed wonderfully bad.
our educational system was in a total mess and he drew the world's attention when he took over as the head of aviation ministry with a record air misharps.
as if he was born to be a minister, he was drafted to a more quiet minstry to conclude his ill wills.
if it still involve who did well, my cap goes off for Okonjo Iweala.
she was too outstanding and was out to prove to nigerians that she is a product of the western world.
she did her work and disappeared from the scene to avoid getting involved in the political jamboree of obj and atiku.
duke made a positive history when he proved that states can equally develop on their own.

Politics › Re: Abia Swears In New Governor Two Days Before May 29 by chidichris(m): 10:12pm On Jun 03, 2007
what is the difference between swearing in on the 26 or 29?
the problem we have is that we always leave the object for shadow.
obj sole handedly selected at least 85% of candidates in the last election, rigging was the order of the day, obj increase the price of fuel at will in a country that spends so much on her legislature yet nobody cries faul but everybody seems to be interested in orji uzo this orji uzo that.
if orji is the only problem in nigeria, why then is the other states with good governors not developing. why is nigeria not developing?
what happened to pdtf and its funds? maybe we will ask orji uzo kalu.
we are one funny people. he knows that game of pdp, efcc and obj. even as the court granted the governor elect bail, the efcc might decide to come back with a new charge just to make sure they get access to abia state so being clever as they are, he made the man governor and put on him the immunity shield.
where is efcc since kalu resigned? are they no longer after him? is he no longer a criminal? let us be reasonable sometimes and stop giving these people room to be using us against ourselves.
funny enough kalu has decided not to run so ribadu has no reason at the moment because he is no longer under immunity.
Politics › Lebanese Militants Versus Lebanese Army - Why by chidichris(op): 9:57pm On Jun 03, 2007
a couple of months, it was lebanese militants versus isreal, today it is lebanese militants versus lebanese army and lebanese prime minster has called them a terrorist gang and has vowed not to negotiate with them.
the fighting is taking place at the palestine refugee camp which the terrorists have been using as shield.
it could be remembered that the isreali ambassador to the UN in his presentation called on the lebanese prime minister to support them to eliminate the militants and enjoy his peace or face the problems of the militants in future. today the words are back to stay.
who are behind these wars? what is the interest(s) of these gangs fighting the government?
is this war part of occupation and independence?

Gnature,
you must be competing with the likes of osuofia and Ibu in the comedy world.
are you interpreting the news we read or did u have a seperate interview or chat with obj on this?
he did something and eight years was two small to give nigeria power. does it mean, the money is not there or there is no company to handle that?
he concentrated his campaign on power supply but after eight, he expressed his regrets and appologised so what we are saying now is that yar adua campaigned with the same power supply, will his own term do the same and end up appologising at the end of his tenure(s).
u said he did something about the pwoer supply, so also did he do on our roads, on over our security, over the worst elections conducted so far in the history of nigeria.
he did same on his selective justice and political intimidation of oponents.
his political dominance made politics the most lucrative bbusiness in nigeria today as the only recognised group in nigeria are oplicticians.
no wonder all field of proffessions have lost a good number of their people to politics.
no wonder all government parastatals have been sold including nnpc.
pls tell us what will be the duties of the aso rock occupants if their is nothing to be managed by government
Politics › Re: The Amazing Wealth Of Obj by chidichris(m): 10:58am On Jun 02, 2007
investing nigeria or outside nigeria has nothing to do with stealling public funds and making ctizens slaves.
if anyone is saying that ibb stole money from nigeria it means obj did not fight corruption as he claimed.
he was not for one day arrested over any corruption charges.
we have in our sentimental life decided to call blue - green and black to white.
ibb and abacha were not elected and as such could not be called presidents obj as far as history will tell is the most corrupt nigerian and he remains a disappointment for not deleievering the bad state of the country which he swore to protect.
what is the nature of our roads, power supply, security, workers welfare, elections, ionflation rate as he hand over.
by the way, he was a president for eight uninterupted years as a well as the petrolium minister for seven years so what does he give back to sucha society that he hijacked the two most important positions for such a long period of time.
shame to him and the day he was born
Foreign Affairs › Re: Israel Doesn't Want Peace By Gideon Levy by chidichris(m): 9:22am On Jun 02, 2007
Tornadoz,
i am delieghted with your presentation here and for the first time in this forum i see a point well delievered to be argued upon.
my first question here is where is Iran in the sponsorship of palestine?
i still want to know from you if you believe that hamas is being sponsored solely by Iran and Syria?
so if iran can sponsor hamas, why not palestine?
again, isreal was not in your post as a sponsor, do u believe that except a coka kola company, there is no other company in palestine and even at that palestines do not consume more of their coke as they prefer the isreali product.
do you believe that 90% of all these funds are paid through isreal?
do you know that hamas refusing to recognise isreal as a nation made isreal and the western world to sieze all the funds for months which led to the administration being paralised for months with non payments to workers and unavailability of basic armeinities in the country not until of late when isreal release parts of the funds.
i hope you are aware that the worst thing that can happen to palestine is an isreal decission to close their borders for even 24 hours.
iran through hamas is saying isreal has no right to exist. they are demanding for a total withdrawal and there is a clear claim here that there is no country like isreal existing here in the middle east.
be rest assured that no matter what we say here, anything less than the eradication of isreal is not in the agenda of iran and hamas.
have you for once mentioned or interpreted the un stands on isreal's right to exist or UN position on the stands of hamas and Iran over isreal.
we should be talking about solutions and not blames, let us know here what you think will offer solution be be informed or try and understand the demands of hamas and iran then think out something.
i must confess here that your partner in this is always busy gathering points from his fellow anti isreal propoganda as he believes he is an independent thinker but he ends up only in "copy and paste". i mean afam, trace all his previous posts here, they are based on copy and paste and he has failed as an intellectual in thinking out a topic to discuss.

it is funny here that those claiming they love palestine hate them. i am saying so because we know powerful nations of the world will not defeat isreal in wars not to talk of palestine.
how long are we going to be sympatizing with the innocent palestine children that die on daily bases.
we all see the aplestine children throw stones on isreali armoured tanks.
we all see hamas and their likes fire rockets into isreal not minding who will be strucked. i wish our able gideon or his immediate family will be a victim one day. isreal will always have the backing of Un as it is part of the UN resolution that every country has the right to self defence.
we are all aware here that isreal never acted rather they react and nobody blames anyone for defending himself.

he is such a monderful ref. in fact give him the best in england or even in the world but there is no better time to say bye than now.
he is funny. he has been tagged controversial and it has been affecting his performances.
as an english man, he has done the best.
his retirement is not marking the end of his problems but the begining as the league managers have express disappointments over his statement that referees were "losing the war" against badly behaved bosses.
the fa chairman had earlier on express his disappointment over his statement that the chairman did not support him.
maybe his controversies will continue outside the pitch.
the fa, the league managers and mourinho were not there in Germany when he gave 3 yellow cards that made him to quit international football.
it is my prayers that graham poll go with all the controversies in officiating.

for those of you that believes that we are all entitle to our opinions, so can i add here that obj plays better that okocha or that tinubu can lead nigeria's attack in uganda.
sometimes we can say from our various opinions that either some minds are retarded or blank.
if mikel is using juju, then it is worth using juju because his juju worked against fifa in holland and he was second to messi. in egypt against caf and he was given about two different awards and in most of his carling cup matches and fa cup matches he got the english fa.
we are saying that ferguson and mourinho who are both world class coaches did not see anything in him.
like i said, malaria tablets will be of help here.
it will be understandable if someone says he is envious here because a search through google will express different opinions from big time sports writters in and outside africa addressing the guy in different robes and analysing his abilities with different football terms and heros.
how can a pure water saler come here to say his opinion even when he does not watch football.
the people we have here is that some people have pre-occupied their mind with such belief that nothing good can come out of babylon.
many said he will not even seat on chelsea bench throughout the season but now he is in the fore front so out of shame they can't reverse their tongues.

that is all games. why will obj and ribadu inform everyone that after hand over certain governors will be arrested. who will wait and die of the unjustified arrest and persecution of ribadu and obj?
why wouldn't ribadu wait for alamasiya to expire his tenure before they used his own house against him. Goodluck has been rewarded for his betrayal.
am sure obj is not among the former rulers that ran away so let the corrupt practices organisation start from him as we all know he at one time or the other linked with corruption cases and typical among others is the involvement of the presidential jet in a money laundary involving andy uba in the united states of america of which part of the funds were traced to the use of buying farm equipments for uttah farms.
