Due to security threats, a 24 hours curfew has been imposed in kaduna by the state government. I also heard that a boy was shot around kaduna polytechnic. Source: AIT News |
A major disaster was averted at the Living Faith Church, Kaduna yesterday when the church security men foiled a Boko Haram attempt to plant a car with explosive in the premises, while the Sunday service was in progress. Eyewitness said that at about 8:00am when the first service which started at 7 am was in session, a new Peugeot 406 ash colour beat the security checks at the entrance into the church premises and headed straight to the central location of the church, where some of the church security men accosted driver who was alone in the car. The driver was ordered to relocate the vehicle to the parking lot tagged Shiloh park, but he insisted that he would not move from the position the vehicle was stationed. This created suspicion from the security men who insisted he must be searched. The eyewitness said: “at this point, the security men then accused the driver not to have subjected himself and the car for screening at the main gate and ordered the man to open the car boot.” “While the church security men were trying to open his car booth, the driver zoomed off in full speed and forced the car out of the main gate, broke the bar iron to the gate. Those around the entrance threw stones at the car which broke the rear windscreen, but the driver escaped. He was however given chase with another car.” Meanwhile, officials of the church declined comment on the issue, as they claimed that the matter has been reported to the police and authorities in the state. However, the Kaduna Police Command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mallam Aminu Lawan who confirmed the incident, said that “there was a report of an incident of a man who came to Living Faith Church with a Peugeot 406 car and did not subject himself for search initially, and while they were trying to search him, he forced himself outside the premises.” Lawan argued: “as he was running away, he broke the gate to the main gate to the church. You can go there; you will see the gate broken. And they said as the man was trying to escape, he was given a chase, and suddenly another vehicle came from nowhere and crossed those who were chasing the suspect and allow him to escape.” “We have apprehended the man who aided the suspect to escape; he is now in our custody. The police have commenced investigation and we are on the trail of the suspect,” he stated. Source: http://sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2012/jan/09/national-09-01-2012-011.html |

Hey guys! Thanks a lot! i've really learnt a lot. To all those people bashing me about not knowing about the existence of these wild animals, well, like a lot of other peeps i've always been in the city and never cited any apart from the ones in zoos. Another reason i asked was because i usually watch Nat Geo wild, and u see all these nature and wildlife observers in east africa and southern africa, always wondered why they don't visit west africa (now i know why). Also as i said in my first post, there's a bit of civilization in every area in nigeria, so i was wondering how they would survive living side by side wit humans. Thanks y'all for the smart and not so smart comments! |
i'm on GLO COMONTH and i've never had any regret, i do everything on it without being charged. Download movies and softwares for my lappy using UCWEB, i watch youtube vids free (eventhough i still have another youtube player), i still use 2go whenever i like (i simply enable my apn settings). But dem de try. i use Blackberry Curve 3 (9300) on os 6 platform. |
Saw this online today Mr. President Sir and Fellow Nigerians, it is yet another shame of insult in far away Vienna, Austria, Europe. According to a shocking bomb revelation by a free daily newspaper in Vienna, Austria called “Heute”, there is a secret mansion villa worth 20 million euro bought by the current oil minister Mrs Allison Madueke. The headline reads “ Ministerin aus Hungerland Kauft sich 20-Millonen-Villa in Wien” (Female Minister From Hungerland Buys Herself 20 Million Euro Villa In Vienna). As provoking and insulting as this headline yet I have been forced to swallow my pride to say that I am very grateful to “Heute” for the exposure of this unpatriotic display of the oil minister because her behavior is more provoking and insulting than the headline. Here is the full translated version of the above text as reported by the newspaper: "Big turbulence about the Nigerian Oil Minister Diezani Allison-Madueke (50)! According to Nigerian media the politician is said to have bought a villa in Vienna for just under 20 Million Euro – even though a major part of the population in her home country is living below the poverty line and children are dying daily of starvation. The exact location of her luxury lodging is secret, but Allison-Madueke is enthusiastic about the big garden and the estate referring to it in the internet as “architectonic masterpiece”. One of her neighbors is said to be former OPEC boss Rilwanu Lukman who is also from Nigeria." The "Heute" newspaper said that their news was taken from Nigerian media and I have tried to google such news without success. However, I trust them because they are civilized and cannot publish such damaging news like this one without being sure. Consequently oil minister, we are expecting you to challenge the newspaper in court and restore your dignity if you say it is not true or bow out from that position peacefully. Dear Nigerians, we all know how impossible it is for a civil servant to save 20 million euro cash in buying a house. In a developed country like Austria where I am living you cannot live above your income without being questioned by the authority. Therefore, how did the minister get this huge amount of money in buying such a mansion? When did she buy the “Villa”? Could it be before she became a minister or after? Could this be her only mansion outside Nigeria? Is she the only minister or government official involved in this wickedness? If this money should be in Nigeria it will definitely help our economy. With this money factories could be comfortably opened and jobless graduates rooming around the streets gainfully employed and crime reduced. How did this get exposed you might ask? Nigerians are very curious and furious. Rumor moving round Vienna, Austria has it that the person that helped her in buying the house was not properly settled, therefore “Yawa must gas”. Those that are praying for Nigeria should please never stop praying because God is in control. Remember our president appealed to us Nigerians to keep on praying for him because he is seeing terrible Goliaths all over Nigeria. Goliaths he said that are ready to kill their father and mother, even their children just to stop his government. Today we can shout hallalujah because one of those Goliaths has been miraculously exposed through our prayers. Another interesting open secret was the saying that her luxury mansion was close to that of the former oil minister Rilwanu Lukman. What it could mean is that the former ex oil minister's house cannot be at anything less than Allison Madueke's mansion in terms of value and luxury if not more. If this should be a true statement, when did Rilwanu Lukman buy his own mansion? How did he get such money? As a former public office holder he must equally be investigated. Will EFCC do their job very well? Or are we going to see another probe committee that will never see the light of the day as usual? I weep for my country! On this note Mr. President Sir, I as a concerned angry Nigerian humbly request for the immediate suspension of this minister, because she will not honorably resign due to the uncivilized way of most Nigerian politicians with regard to past events. I also appeal to Nigerians in Austria through this medium to come together and support a planned peaceful protest by a group of concerned Nigerians. Furthermore, I equally appeal to other Nigerians all over the world to get in touch so that we may have a one day worldwide protest against this shame if possible, because we are all involved. Mr. President Sir, Nigerians are watching. Uzoma Ahamefule a concerned Nigerian Klick here: http://globalreporters1..com Uzomaah@yahoo.com

So i was discussing with a friend a few days ago and he told me that his girlfriend told him that while she was travelling from awka to onitsha, they (herself and other passengers in the bus) sighted a lion by the road (the road is kinda bushy, but not like thick forests and stuff). i don't really believe wat my friend told me, which has led me to ask. Do we have wild animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards that are found in africa in Nigeria ![]() i researched wikipedia, and from my findings we have leopards, lions and cheetahs in the wild in Nigeria. So my question is, is this true?? Have there been any sightings in recent times. Because i know that whenever i travel by road from the north to the south east, i see a lot of thick forests but in the midst of those forests u'll notice a couple of huts, which means that people live there, so wat are ur thoughts

They ought to have seen this coming, its really sad, Buhari should go on air and say something, cos this thing is all over the north, there's unrest in kano, katsina, bauchi, maiduguri, Haba! Its too much. |
Political at first, cpc supporters are angry that Jonathan is winning or has even won the elections, but like all things in the north, it has turned religious. Churches and mosques are being burnt, we're all standing and sitting in front of our houses, all the offices and banks have closed, terrible |
i live in kaduna and can literally see the house in flames, mosques have already been burnt in kaduna south while churches are being burnt in kaduna north. |

@ poster, i"ve been trying to reach mtn customer care for over a week but its been impossible< how were u able to reach them< any special number?? |
Glo isn't unlimited, my BIS is Glo and it has a limit of 1.5Gig for monthly subscription, for me though, its not sufficient but i'm only managing it cos its super fast when downloading, especially if you have 3G, cheers!! |
Wow, never in my browsing and download history have i ever seen 250kb/s, Glo 3G was recently introduced in kd (kaduna), i was already accustomed to MTN's epilepsy stricken fluctuating 3G of about 40kb/s, when my BIS expired i decided to try Glo and the speed is just amazing, imagine downloading 150mb movies in a matter of minutes, the downside to this is that on Glo only gives you a bandwidth of 1.5Gig limit on my BIS monthly and 3G is not available in most states, but meeeehn, that speed is super!!! |
Yes its possible, after trying to watch my favorite youtube videos on my Blackberry i decided to search for an alternative and i"ve found one. Go to your Blackberry App World and search for and download vuclip, now if u see a video that you'd like to watch on youtube, get the title of the video and open your vuclip (it uses your BB browser by the way) and put the title in the search box, it"ll bring up the same video from youtube, you can stream or save it to your device. You can also search directly for the video in the vuclip search box without first getting the title from youtube, but that"d be too cumbersome as vuclip is also connected alot of other sites and it may take a lil while before you find the video you are looking for. Try it and let me know. P.S: its not really free, you must have BIS subscription for it to be free, otherwise prepared to be billed heavily, so make sure that you"ve subscribed to your network's BIS. Cheers |
