Total waste of time! i regret working my service to my place of residence (maybe this is part of the reason i think its a waste of time). Worked my posting too to a polytechnic which is like the best posting you can get (since we were all sent to schools and ministries). But still i hate it. Granted, i don'( pay for food, accomodation and sometimes transport. But its just bloody boring. i'm supposed to be lecturing in the poly, i'm yet to start though, right now they send me to go and buy razor, chewing gum, recharge card, make photocopies and type documents (you know all those lazy old women in govt offices shey?). The only fun thing about NYSC was the camp experience. i guess if i had worked it to another state i would have enjoyed the fredoom of my service year. Right now, i've discussed wit the top guys at my place of primary assignment, they're letting me go, i'll be coming back for clearance at the end of the month. Ii'm off to Lagos to get a job and enjoy my service year.! |
@Topic "Morrin" Chestnut abi? Issorai! |
Have you guys been following star quest? i think this year's edition is one of the worst, the instrumentalists are OK, but the singers are fair at best. i blame star for this, what would it cost a big organization like star to get these singers a vocal coach All other music reality shows in naija have vocal coaches. From MTN project fame, Nigerian idols to Naija sings. I mean how do you expect these guys to grow day after day they come out to deliver mediocre performances that could have been better if they had guidance. this show is really wack! the presenter comes into the house to announce who gets evicted (the list was probably conjured up by the producer, how are we supposed to be sure that the votes count?). i'm pissed cos they let two very good bands (d'rays and da blings) go. even though right from the start of the show i knew crystals had something special that could make them win, the first two bands that left could have given them a good run for the prize, we all know (at least i know) that crystals will win this one.but let me just say that star really needs to restructure this competition so that they stop producing bands that fade into oblivion after a track (if they're lucky to produce one.). i said it before and i'll say it again...Wack! |
Rich4god: No argument... Its definately ANAMBRA....LWKMD! Abeg! Abeg!! If na play stop am. i graduated from UNIZIK and the roads in Anambra are fair at best, that ia excluding onitsha enugu express o, which is a federal road. But if you add that one? Anambra roads are bad! The best roads in Nigeria are in (i've visited these states so i kno wat i'm talking about) Abuja, Enugu, Uyo, Kaduna! |
Guys! i was searching through channels on DSTV and noticed that AIT is gone. Wat happened? Even the Local AIT here in kd is off. |
Guys! i'm currently serving in Kaduna, i tried relocating to lagos while on camp and i was told that Lagos would not work. Please is there someone out there who can help me get relocated to Lagos, i'd really appreciate it. Thanks! |
As a result of the recent bombings in Kaduna and Kano states, the National Youth Service Corps may relocate corps members from the states for security reasons. The Deputy Director, Public Relations of the NYSC, Mr. Peter Atilola, told SUNDAY PUNCH that though there was currently no plan to withdraw corps members en masse from the two states, corps members serving in those states could apply individually to be relocated on the grounds of worsened security situation. “For now, there is no plan for relocation of corps members from Kaduna and Kano states, but if any corps member feels he or she is not safe in these places, he or she can apply and would be relocated,” he said. It would be recalled that the Minister of Youth Development, Bolaji Abdullahi, had ordered NYSC not to post corps members to Borno and Yobe states late last year when there were frequent bombings and gun attacks by suspected members of the Boko Haram sect, resulting in the death of hundreds of people. The corps members who were initially posted to the states were directed to observe their orientation exercise in Benue and Nassarawa states, and were reposted to all states of the federation, except for Borno and Yobe States. With some deadly bomb attacks in the past few months including Easter bomb attack which killed about 40 people, the security situation has drastically worsened in Kaduna and Kano states, resulting in some residents relocating to other parts of the country they considered safer. The Special Adviser to the minister, Mr. Julius Ogunro, told SUNDAY PUNCH that the policy of the Ministry for Youth Development on the security of corps members remained that corps members would not be posted to any part of the country where their security could not be guaranteed. Ogunro added that the policy would be applied to any state of the federation, just the way it was applied in the case of Borno and Yobe states. In a recent interview with journalists, Abdullahi said the security of corps members was very important to Federal Government, noting that “the youth service scheme is not worth the life of anybody.” He said, “One of the major initiatives we have taken is to develop a security alert system that maps the country—some kind of early warning— and to take decision on posting of corps members based on our awareness of the security circumstances in various locations. “So we are not saying because NYSC is a national service, then we must post corps members to all parts of the country. Our pragmatic approach is to say wherever there are real or potential security challenges, we will not post corps members to such places.” The minister also stated the NYSC would not have orientation camps in places where there was real and potential security challenge and would not post corps members to such places until there was an evidence of significant improvement. http://punchng.com/news/bombings-nysc-may-relocate-corps-members-from-kano-kaduna/ |
1.48 out of 4.0? The girl no dey even try at all. chaii!!! ![]() They should not let this girl operate machinery or any sort of computer.
Where i graduated from its 5.0 not 4.0 o! I remember my final year 1st semester my GP was 3.4, i worked hard at studying and eventually came out with a 3.6. Abeg her result is her own doing, that's wat uni students don't get, there's LIFE after university. Where your good degree will give u a lil edge over others. Most companies won't even collect CV from 2.2 graduates, if u like sabi book well well. i hope she has some kind of skill she can harness, or if she fine, find a husband and settle down, cos that result only tells me that this chic went to school and didn't study. i remember a guy in my dept when i was in 4th year, he was withdrawn for having over 20 carry over in various courses (i'm not exaggerating). Tell me where that one wan start from. If you're still in the uni and reading this, let this be a lesson to you, study hard and make your parents proud. i came out with a 2.1, i'm still serving and i've already been called for two aptitude tests. i'm believing God that before the end of my service year i would have secured a job. |
Envy, jealousy, greed. You all are saying the same thing, as far as i'm concerned, sibling rivalry is caused by bad parenting. i'm the last boy, i'm a uni graduate, and everytime i see the way my dad address my immediate elder bro cos he's a doctor, already has a car. i do almost all of the house chores. Really, if not for the love of God in me, i would feel very envious of him. But u know wat? i'm not. i'm working hard to make it too. When parents shower more love or attention on one kid than the other, the other kid feels left out. i've really learnt how to treat my kids from my parent's mistakes |

@Ndu_chuks, like STFU already, u're just pathetic like ur posts. And for that 9jadelta guy, u're, u're really dumb, go get informed about south east oil reserves, and even with all the oil u have, are u enjoying the benefits?? Day by day, ur farmlands and streams are overcome with oil spills...think before u talk. My kaduna, see wat they've turned you into, really used to enjoy the serenity of this state, and how things used to be so easy, it's well. |
pazienza: Wow! How come i didnt notice that. You guys are just haters.Didn't u read where i said the guy can sing, did that sound like beef in ur ears/eyes? If u really followed the show, thee way charlie boy talked to the guy after each performance was questionable. Not from the guy, (though is femine dramatics on stage may have fueled it), i guess its charly boy's way. |
otokx: The governments of US and EU issued a security warning, why did people not take heed?Take heed and not go to church?? lanre80: i am in kad presently & i have visited d crime scene, how pathetic. I saw human body parts in pieces scattered on the ground. It happened on saudana crescent by junction road. Eye witnesses say the vehicle carryiny d explovises did not get to it's destination but exploded on the road.I also heard that the bomb laden car did not get to its destination, thank God for that, only God know where it was heading. Heard the occupants exploded with the car too. |
Thank goodness she didn't lose to that gay .Just hate the way he and Charlie boy kept drooling over each other.Eeeeeew.
i didn't like that too, but u gotta admit, the guy can sha sing. Congrats to mercy, i knew she would win from the first time i heard her sing. She's got the voice and right attitude on stage. On a side note, is it that Etisalat and sony with all their money couldn't air this as a live show That's really pathetic, now i know the winner and the show is yet to air, no fun! |
i'm in kaduna as well, the explosion happened near Assemblies of God church. Its really sad that these islamic extremists won't allow us enjoy our celebrations, but they enjoy their sallah unharmed. i hope someone retaliates. Here's how its been reported by daily times: A large explosion, suspected to be bomb blast, rocked an area near the All Nation Christ Assembly church in Kaduna on Easter Sunday morning. Kaduna state police spokesman Aminu Lawan, confirmed the incident but was unsure if there were causalities. Residents in the area said the explosion shook the foundation of buildings around the area, adding that the site had been cordoned off, but he said he could see damage to a church and cars. Both the United Kingdom and the United States had earlier warned that violence was possible this Easter weekend.
