Thanks guys! i think my priority right now is to get a car. i dunno anyone on the island, as i'm also new to lagos. So, for now, i'll just keep at it. Thank you! |
Thanks guys! Its crazy the kind of conditions we work in, i kinda brought it on my self, cos they asked me during the interview that if i was posted to the lekki office, if i would be willing to go. And i said yes. Its 9pm right now and i'm just leaving the office, BRT has closed. Guess i'll have to start looking for another job. This pay is ok though for a fresh graduate...oh well! |
Hey Guys! i just got a job with one of the telecommunications company in Nigeria. i'm staying at Ikeja and my office is at The Palms Lekki. i spend 700 daily through and fro on transportation. That's about 16, 000 a month not to talk of lunch. I just wanna know if there's someone on nairaland that works in Lekki (my office is at The Palms) that i can be catching a ride with in the mornings and especially in the evenings. i work from 10 to about 8pm. My Bus stop is Ojota. Or is there a staff bus i can join?? My company doesn't have a staff bus that runs that late. Thanks and i'd really appreciate helpful answers! |
Oct 15th, Allawee never still enter. Hmmm! Ok o! Has anyone received theirs? |
Nope! i haven't been contacted. i remember they said whether you make it or not, that they'll reach us all. Make we dey wait. |
The test was in two parts, verbal reasoning which was easy, the other, not so much. Yet to be contacted though. |
Hi guys! i just got a mail inviting me for an aptitude test on thursday, the format of the test was however not stated. Please what should i expect and what's their pay like? For an associate position (i'm a fresh graduate, someone in house submitted my cv for me). Thanks. |
abdulkayus: if adm shld be on a level ground, its d east, west and south dat will hear it cos many southern students get adm up north, and hw many frm north get adm in d south? Very few. I school in d north and serve in d east, so i knw wat am talkin abt. And dos shoutin abt unizik dat its gud, pls keep quiet cos unizik is nt even among d best uni in nigeria and runs dey happen wella in unizik. Unizik= yori yori universityLies! No region does tribalism when it comes to admission like the north, got to ABU, BUK, Even Kad Poly, in kad poly (where i'm currently serving) only 10 percent of the students are from the south. i was brought up in kaduna and had to go to the east to for my university education, cos i saw what ABU did to my elder ones, u'll make good grades and u won't get admitted then one aboki with 160 in Jamb that doesn't know how to make a complete sentence will be offered admission. And as for UNIZIK not being amongst the best? UNIZIK occupies no 14 position on top university ranking in Nigeria. Most of the universities before it are living on past glory and were established a long time ago. UNIZIK became a federal university in 1991. Who would wat to go and study at UNIJOS or ABU? With all these bombings? Past Glory i tell ya! |
i'm a graduate of UNIZIK and i can categorically state that admission is based on merit, if you do well, u'll be admitted, that is not to say that there aren't a few peeps who do runs, maybe if you are related to the registrar (and u must even still have to do well in both exams ), but asides situations like that which happens even abroad, UNIZIK is the place to be. The Structures are in place, we had wireless at mt faculty (environmental science), one of the best libraries in Nigeria (E-Library) with internet connection, fees is about 20,100 for old students, i went through school for 5 years without experiencing cultism and i de flex small. Its the place to be, so proud of my school. Can be stressful at times sha, during exams and new sessions but its cool. Great Zikites! |

luluosas: The internet problem on Glo has nothing to do with Glo-1 cable cut. Thank you. You can visit here http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/doomsday-internet-blackout-dns-changer-fizzle-172421519.htmlDude wat are u talking about? According to that link u posted the DNS changer thing came and went without being really felt? U don read that link at all sef? If ur link has done anything, its enlighten me that its not the DNS changer, so i'll probably believe those who said a cut submarine cable is the cause, me sha don subscribe to airtel weekly. |
Please can we report this issue to the Nigeria communications commission? Glo is usually stable, but once in a while stuff like this happens and THEY DON'T COMPENSATE THEIR CONSUMERS. You call their customer care and they are all trained to say the same shit. 'We apologize it's as a result of unforseen circumstances and it will be up soon...since 2 nights ago o!' We need to be compensated wen the get their service running, see i don go subscribe for airtel's weekly. On another note, i'm using mtn BIS now, it sucks in ikeja (Oregun) and now i have switched to airtel (works well, 3G on point)! i sha miss glo, dem de try. But we must be compensated. |

Dazzled: Hmmm, its not easy ooo. I have walked evry where in lag, writin tests n attending interviews, i feel grt wen i get 2 d final stage believin i wil mak it but notin but dat is about 2 change. Right now am on my way from epe goin 2 okota, dis is past 8pm went 4 a testYou went for that call centre job abi? All the best. |
Gosh! Hey Guys! i'm still serving...but i'm already sending out my cvs, is this good? or should i wait till after service? and in my cv i've excluded NYSC since i'm still serving. Should i include NYSC? (cos it'll read NYSC 2012 and the employer may not call me if they think i'm serving somewhere i.e i may not have time to do the job...that's the reason i removed it) |
i'm a Batch A corp member, also serving in kaduna, its not too bad, but just pray you get posted to kaduna south township. All the best. |
Has anyone received allowee for june? |
Demdem: The house has given an order but i doubt if NYSC is bound to obey.Wat you said is so true! Call up letters have already been given, some peeps have already reported to camp even. i remember wen i got posted to kaduna in february, we all went to the NYSSC HQ in abj, begged, cried...nothing was done! We were told to go and report to camp then apply for redeployment. |
Guy! Its ok o! Not too bad, but pray u are posted to a good area like kaduna south, where u have more christians and will be safe. NDA payss the most, 25k to corpers and they'll give u accomodation. Ministries pay 5k, kadpoly 7k, no accomodation. Camp was not bad, was cool, but after camp? Really boring. i'm in lag now, was posted to kadpoly, but i worked it, so i go every 3 months for clearance. |
Hey Guys! Was at COZA Lagos today...it was awesome. It rained after service too, and you know wat? Church members started donating their cars to take people to various destinations, unlike some places where church will close and u're on your own, felt really blessed. 7days of glory continues tomorrow at munchies (2nd Floor), by salvation Bus Stop, Opebi, ikeja, Lagos, come fasting, come wit an expectation. We Celebrate you! |
owelle22: Meet her 1st in physical.LWKMD...physical abi? Issorai! Omogbhollahorn: you dont even pity tha future of your kids your child to swear for you cause their friend call dem bonboy or edward beta run b4 it too late owelle22: Meet her 1st in physical.Roflmao! Where's the poster sef? Follow @Godfada's advice...shikena |
JeSoul: Personally, I wouldn't. Solely because of the 'mental' factor, I wouldn't like to wear something someone else already wore - just my personal thing, it holds sentimental value though I may not wear it again (we're playing with the idea of a 10yr anniv renewal wearing the same dress/suiti hope you'll still be able to fit into it, ten years and kids does a lot to a woman's body o! |
okay, thanks. i can start off with that. |
Hey guys, I was at the Airtel office last week for an interview. Its more of a connection thing, as i was the only one interviewed. I'm a graduate, still serving though, was posted to the north, but because of the crises, i worked it and only have to go there once in 3 months. The job i was interviewed for was customer care/relations (not call centre) at one of the Airtel shops in lagos. Please i need to know what the salary range is, cos i stay in ikeja, and i was told i'll likely get posted to lekki. Thanks. (I couldn't ask) |
i am an Igbo, but i must say that i agree about Diamond Bank, from. Kaduna to abuja, most of their staff i know are Igbos. Me sef dey wait to work there after NYSC. *winks* |
Mortiple: You don dey look for wahala abi? When dem go bad-mouth you and y(our) Pasitor now ...i no dey attend Christ embassy sef, no be question i answer he asked top twitter handles in Nigeria. Person wey get over 1 million followers na joke![]() |
