Apart from that, Atiku as a VP was very visible and active not like GEj and Sambo.

A VP should be very influential to ensure that his zone benefits in developmental projects by the government.

Jonathan and Sambo have the best President & Vice President so far since 1999.

OBJ & Atiku only worked very well between 1999 & 2002. By 2003 there were serious crack in their relationship which PDP leadership tried covering until after their re-election in 2003 when the crack became so wide that from 2003 to 2007 both were in serious fight. OBJ almost got Atiku impeeched but Atiku beeing a hard man who also have more political wisdom (then) than OBJ, did his homework so well that OBJ failed in his bid.

Atiku is the one that fought OBJ‘s third term bid & OBJ blackmailed him as he(OBJ) blackmailed everybody that worked with his goverment. But OBJ‘s blackmail could only make a USA congressman lose his sit for corruption.

During Yardua‘s time it was northerners from Katsina were ruling Nigeria with Yaradua. When Yar‘dua was in comma & life support merchine for months it was Turaki (yar‘dua‘s wife) that was practically ruling Nigeria. GEJ was sidelined by politcians from the north. (I for Osinbajo passing through the same thing).

In NIGERIA & USA, VP‘s are nobody. They can only do the bidden of their master, THE PRESIDENT.

VP does not head economic team (there is nothing like economic team, officially)(i stand to be corrected). The VP only chairs meeting on the economy when it holds. And it is not a must that it will hold. If the president allows him before he can call for the meeting.
