Funny enough, if one digs through the data of the the richest people/most successful entrepreneurs in China, one would discover that the vast majority of them worked in a company or companies - government or privately owned before venturing into entrepreneurship. Very few started on their own and those who did had the CCP support, parents who had money or got loans at miserably low interest rates. Even in Nigeria, the most successful entrepreneurs (without some sort of government support to be on the fair side) either took over their parents' businesses or worked with various companies before starting theirs. In the tech industry, the most successful worked with different firms, attended top institutions abroad, had financially supportive parents and an incredibly strong network to support their ventures. Very few started out immediately after school, I reiterate, very very few.

OP isn't saying don't be entrepreneur but don't do do so on an empty stomach. The Igbos he mentioned have a strong apprenticeship system where future business men work with their masters for years and are supported after they finish. Now, would you compare such a person who has been an apprentice for say five years and has been rewarded to a recent graduate on starting out as entrepreneurs in the same field?

True but remember no job in Nigeria unless u have connections. About 10 years ago a friend of mine started like dis (ndi oso shia) no money no shop every morning he dress up nd go to main market onitsha helping people to buy things they want from his friend's shop. the shop owner will settle him because he bring buyers for them from there he learn d business nd save up some money start his own. Now he has a shop nd goods worths 10 million inside nd finish his own build house last Christmas and planning to get a car before d lockdown. Business is really good if u have d idea most especially

You will ask yourself in Nigeria now how many people get a job that even pay upto 40k monthly after school. What move in Nigeria is business take it or leave it. no matter how small ur capital is, keep struggling, be consistent nd focus, non stop to it, u will see ur self getting higher. Just look at Nigeria now with dis corona lockdown business owners are contributing money to FG nd there communities. Do u think most of them start with million in d time of there beginning No. so started like (ndi osu afia) like they don't have shops or even goods but bringing buyer to those who have goods nd they will settle them from there they save up nd start his own nd be managing until his business bsoot. And some will serve someone after some years d boss will settle him, he start up his own that how we igbos do. Those private sectors u want to look for a job they are owned by a single person. Why not for u to be focus on ur own business grow it so in d nearest future u will employ people. Unless you have a connection who can give u job dat pays well but still business is still 100% better. U will be ur own boss nobody to command or threat ur work. I talk from an experience. If u have a business idea nd u think is what d society needs better develop ur idea because u aren't d one that put d idea in you but d God who created you. cool.in Nigeria now business owner build houses anyhow nd salary collectors rent them angry . 80% of igbos don't do salary work but business dat is why they are very rich because dey don't depend on monthly payments .

I'm into cab Business. But I'm not an Uber partner.

The requirements are quite high. Below 100k mileage. Not older than 2008 model etc.
With this the barriers to entry is high. They are basically asking for brand new cars.

I don't know much about the weekly or monthly income but I'm sure the drivers /partners make money. And NOTE that The business generally is lucrative. With or without Uber.

For potential investors /partners don't forget that you are still ultimately responsible for the actions of the driver.

Now where are the partners o?

Come share your experience.

Good afternoon pls which type of car do u use for ur cab business

Car Talk / Re: Sienna Vibrates When Break Is Applied by Chigozie105(m): 3:32am On Jan 20, 2020
ORAGAMYFARMS:

Engine braking.

Manual transmission, switch to lower gear in quick succession, from 5, to 3 to 2 then to 1 and finally use your hand brake when the car is at a lower speed, if crash is imminent before car comes to halt, use the road bolders by side swiping to slow or stop vehicle to avoid rear ramming car infront.

Automatic transmission, release your foot from the brake or accelerator, switch the gear to lower gear D3, D2, L etc depending on what type of gear your are using and control the car with the steering. Never switch to Park or Reverse with automatic transmission, you can destroy the transmission leading to free gear or the TCM would simply switch the gear to limp mode "Neutral" and car would still maintain it's initial speed leading to crash.

Thanks.
Business / Re: Keke Business. Advice Please by Chigozie105(m): 2:15pm On Jan 18, 2020
etebefia:
I invested heavily in this business, I am not talking about second hand keke but brand new ones. Some were able to finish theirs successful but majority never did, even one did not get up to #150k and he destroyed both the inside and outside of the keke (something I bought for #650k). If you want to go into it, just know you are not going into a business rather poverty alleviation program.

U bought for 650k, how much do u put it for hire purchase or do u just give d person keke to be doing account for u.

The better way to do dis keke business buy a new keke and register it by yourself 670k for everything depending on d type of keke because they have d one of 800k then u may give it on purchase for 1.2m for the one of 600k nd d one of 800k goes for 1.6m, then u nd d rider will sign an agreement with ur lawyer then d rider will have someone who will also sign on behalf of him. Then in d agreement u guys will agree on d payment weekly or monthly and duration of him completing the money maybe 1 year or 8 months depending then if he didn't complete d money after d duration or not doing as agreed u can arrest him nd him will pay for damages that's why is very important to have a writen and signed agreement documented and a lawyer to make it official...

This business is helping nd empowering youths who really have future nd want to work because some won't have money to buy keke but u help buy nd give them nd tell them to pay some amount 20k or 22k depending on weekly basis to certain period of time, u are helping him because some areas like Onitsha, Enugu, Awka, and some cities i know keke people make at least 5k a day, if d person work and if he work very smart his going home with nothing less than 10k per day or more. If he compete d money d keke become his own so he will handle it with care

Fr Kelvin Ugwu MSP,
YOU ARE TOTALLY WRONG OR MISCONCIEVED . PAYING MONEY TO A CHURCH IS QUITE DIFFERENT FROM PAYING MONEY TO A PASTOR. IT IS WRONG TO SAY THAT THE MONEY YOU PAID IN THE CHURCH IS MONEY YOU PAID TO THE PASTOR. BY WHAT YOU ARE SAYING, IF YOU ARE A REAL FR. AS YOUR NAME SUGGEST, IT SEEMS THAT YOU USED TO CARRY THE OFFERING GIVENG IN YOUR CHURCH SAYING THAT IT IS MONEY MEMBERS GAVE TO YOU. IS IT RIGHT OR WRONG?

IF ON THE OTHER HANDS AN INDIVIDUAL DECIDES TO PACKAGE HIS OR HER JANUARY SALARY FOR A PASTOR, WHO ARE YOU TO DECIDE IF IT IS RIGHT OR WRONG?

Scammers where hungry people are outside there u won't help them na carry money go give one nonsense man wey go carry d money go dey enjoy himself, wey u nd ur family and friends dey hungry no food to eat, no money to pay school fees, no money to pay for house rents or help ur people. Pls go buy sense if u no get am abeg, whether paying to a church or pastor all dey enter for d pastor pocket or have ur so called pastor call all una church members to share church money together.
