Its a tiptronic transmission (5-speed automatic + 5-speed manual transmission). Both are working perfectly

Suspension is bad.(TCS) That's the only fault as @ today.

Highlighting your comment does not mean you said something wrong. It only re-emphasised the best possible course of action if a seller refuses to oblige a buyer for a test drive. Neither did I say your comment was wrong.

You are quoting me again for the wrong reason.

I will explain my initial comment:

Most Sellers won't allow for a long test drive. That's the point I drove at, with emphasis on the moniker I quoted, who said one should request a test drive on third mainland bridge @ speeds of 140km/hr.

Run away from sellers who do not allow you to test driver their cars. As someone observed, buy some fuel in the car and drive out. This is the only way you identify certain engine & transmission faults. If a seller is unwilling to allow for a test drive, that's one pointer that the car could have an underlying problem. For a genuine seller, if he's sure you will pay for the car after a test drive, he certainly will sanction it if there are no issues with the particular car.

I have test drove all cars I have bought to date & never have any engine or transmission problems. As per documents you need, most respondents have listed them all. If you are buying a Nigerian used, ensure you inspect driver's license and/or international passport to match the name on the documents, absolutely important.

Your mechanic most likely disconnected your ba3 terminals, that's why its off.

After a drive cycle, it will come back on.

Anticipate horrendous mpg.

The cause of your blinking cel was a multiple cylinder misfire and changing spark plugs should do.

Vehicle is located in mangoro agege lagos.

The blinking D on an Acura means there is a transmission code stored in your computer and there is an issue with the transmission.
The mechanic you are using will not see the code if he is using a regular scanner.
You need an advanced scanner like the Launch X431 to point you in the right direction.

Wrong.
The blinking D does not necessarily denote a tranny issue.

I scanned the vehicle for the said owner.

It was a power problem. His alternator was bad and vehicle was running on battery only.

We replaced the alternator, and fuse and D stopped blinking.

Car is now in superb condition.

P.s a small scanner as Ms609 can do d magic.

That's how a guy went to withdraw money at coconut bustop towards tin can!

When he entered his car, two armed robbers approached him, pointed a gun(I guess there wasn't bullet) at him and told him to handover the money!

Op, make sure you test drive the car if its naija used. Drive to and fro third mainland bridge at a speed of 140km/h. Observe steering feeling, swerving when hands off steering the brakes and look out for any unusual sound. Good luck.

Before you started the car, were they running?

If no, then your engine was overheating, and that was a protective measure to cool it down.

It must have stopped running after a while..

Get your cooling system checked.

I changed the engine to direct 2.0 lit from Germany..

I tot, since its tokunbo, I just top the water everyday for 7 months without even checking the engine oil for once..

One day, I was in traffic and the car just went off.. Guush! It had never happened to me..

Mechanic said it want his work, that it was electrical, electrician said it wasn't it work..

In one word, engine oil had solidify, engine oil had turned to grease, the Timing-belt cut, the valves Bent, the engine didn't knock but since then av been weary of the car, I just pray to God to help me buy a Benz, my dream car..

What am I saying.. When you go 10 years without servicing your car, a day of reckoning is coming.

Right now, I try to change my engine oil every 2 months even if the oil is clean and no form of shortage whatsoever.

I refill the radiator with water wheater needed or not needed.. Does water cost anything.

U c, ur car is your horse, she would serve you, but one day sha would be one day, ur horse would fall sick and god helps you, she can die from that sickness..

I drive a hyundai xg 30 V6 3.0 DOHC 24valve

After I sorted a leaking hose in my cooling system, and topped liquid in the radiator and reservoir, I haven't set eyes on my radiator since then.

I drive @ speeds in excess of 140Km/hr and stay in traffic for about 3hours daily, with AC on.

My temp gauge still reads 80degrees, no matter the condition.

Like every poster above, you have a leak. And now is the time to address it..

That 5-hour traffic won't inform you of its coming, when your cooling system will be tested
