Eneze1: have you visited the state recently or you only rely on what you see on tv, I think before you pass judgement across, try and leave the comfort of your house and visit places. btw am not a Yoruba and pls u don't have to resort to insult to drive home your pointFor each analysis i make, i have a template viz-a-viz performance . If you visit Ogun, Lagos and ondo you will understand the bearing from which my arguements operate... Anyways now is not the time of lamentations now is the time for transformation. |
Can any citizen of the great state of Osun tell me 10 tangible projects the He-goat cum Governor has delivered to the state in his near 4 years in office. All i saw on the tv and pages of paper are an assembly of brain washed youths standing at attention while the fanatic He-goat acknowledges cheers from the unemployed vibrant young lads. Tell him to sit up and deliver on the sincere support he enjoys... His time ticks. |
The larger number of voters know where to throw their support to come 2015. I stand as an Apostle of Transformation to tell nigerians to stay clear of strange bed fellows. The GEJ administration is delivering on set goals and there is steady and sustained improvement in key sectors. |
I feel very happy at this development. I remember with nuisalgia the efforts by elders from the SE to convince Obasanjo about this project but all went into the drains. With the cargo airport at owerri and the int'l airport at enugu, the riverports at onitsha anambra and oguta imo, the dryport at aba abia, the triangular dualcarriage interlock starting from onitsha to enugu to aba and back to onitsha through owerri we can now have a handshake with the rest of the world. In addition, the extension of the dualisation projects from enugu to abakiliki, from owerri to port harcourt and from aba to ikot ekpene the road infrastructure now has an awakening with strategic areas. To consumate the economic integration, the second niger bridge will be in place for our use. The SE will one day lead while others will not only follow but come for vital lessons on how to run their economies. |
I just remember the 25th of september 2011. All my savings during the service year plus some from my parents enabled me pay 220k for an apartment in area1 abuja. A day before i was to move in, development control officials reduced it to rubbles in the name of masterplan adherence. I cried like a baby and found no comfort in the situation. In summary, move on its a signal of great doors to open and dont forget to give prayers of thanksgiving to God... Goodluck. |
brownlord: Yea, much clearer now...You remind me of the event that happened by rivers of babylon... My condolence to your loved ones as your case is beyond the ability of the best rehabs in the entire world. |
idealsico: Must our president pay his condolences in person whenever and wherever a VIP dies? Can't he be represented by his retinue of aids while he concentrates on matters of urgent national importance? This is one area you have dissipated so much time and energy.Let me remind you that Nigerians will not guage your performance by these trivial social display. Please 'hit the ground running' as you promised us.The clock is ticking. My thoughts exactly. |
brownlord: Oga, what is your point? In trying to please all sheds of character, the President is reducing the prestige that goes with the office... Hope i made my earlier post clearer ![]() |
I had expected the President to send a high powered delegation to pay the visit instead of this rape on the office of the President. Jonathan should show some respect for that institution and stop running it like the office of a LGA councillor. Anyway if this visit is political, i think he secured a vital point to up his score against the dreaded ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL COCKRELS (APC) little wonder the sent overtures to him for a possible cross carpet. Unknown to the them, he is well above the game. |

clint77ng: U just exhibited your imbecility. The same gov u r supporting for not mobilizing local contractor paid 100 percent +to foreign contractors. All these money released to these companies have developed wings. Ask jpros and the spanish contractor.I see an imbeciles produced in you each time you engage your epileptic brain in a brain teasing discuss of this form. Must you contribute to threads I have clearly said i'm not a fan of Okorocha and will never be any close to being his fan. The issue i talked about is clearly different from the stench that just came from your mouth. The projects you mentioned is one of the many examples of Okorocha's mistakes due to his stupid rush to execute projects. I have spoken exhaustively against it in previous contributions and if you are in doubt you may carry out some investigations. Be guilded, lest you turn yourself to a riffraff. |
Uclloyd28: @chillypelly....u are indeed an outsider....Rocahs gave out most road constructions to contractors, with the agreement of them getting half payment when they project is @ least 50% near completion and they rest paid on completion...most of them agreed and took loans, only for that scam to disappoint them....they contractors had no other option than to abandon the projects. How can a sane man start off all roads in owerri @ the same time....na Lagos em dey! Where will he get money to take on such! We imolites know the truth! We go soon deport am 2 Kaduna or Kano, where he belongsInsider did you listen to yourself As an Engineer that has handled sensitive jobs in well over 10 locations you mean i should bend low to listen to your crap. Young man be careful in the selection of words you use as you have no pedigree in construction. If i may ask do you know what an APG is definitely you dont. Rochas not giving them money in advance is a practice all over the world to make sure the carry out jobs comersurate to monies released. The Federal Ministry of Works doesnt differ in such practice either so get your acts right the next time you decide to expose your ignorance. There is some thing we call the construction bond and the purpose is for government money to be protected from 'come-and-chop' contractors incase the fail to deliver there wouldnt be need for recovery of paid funds where the job is revoked. If your head doesnt contain maggots, i just educated you. |
asha 80: are you sure it is chillypelly that wrote this?some one must hijacked the handle lol....i guess from different people there are issues on the quality of the roads being delivered. It is Engr Chima Peter Nwaoha A.K.A. Chillypelly. Yes i did go round after my journey from Abuja. From the Airport i hit the now airport road approaching owerri and i can tell you Okorocha isnt doing badly. All the traffic flash point in owerri has been watered down into simple roundabouts with beautiful monuments to the delight of the road user. BUT to repeat myself i feel sad about the quality of these roads. I supervised a strategic road like the abuja-lokoja road section 2 ie the portion handled by RCC so i can tell quality when i see it. I have said on this forum that only the orlu road dualization passes my quality control test and i can only score the road 50%. The rest are below 20%. |
I have listened to all the contributions with great understanding and my simple deduction is that the average Imolite crave for consistency and positve results on delivery of projects. I drove round construction sites today and sincerely speaking the governor isn't doing badly. My first port of call was the 8 blocks of 16 floors Century Towers handled by koreans and i marvel at the job. The Eight blocks are all @the 2 floor of construction and i believe it will be the pride of every Imolite on completion. Other sites such as the ICC, 23 floors 5-star hotel in owerri, the 14 floors 4-star hotel in okigwe, the 5 floors event centre, the freedom park, the 27 100-bed general hospitals, the event centre in IBC and the 5 floors ISOPADEC HQ are all having a beehive of construction activities. Infact i was particularly touched to see 1 storey precast block of 12 classrooms in almost all the primary schools in Imo state standing for posterity to judge. I was told by a fellow Engineer on one of the sites that the contractor has delivered about 200 of them with the balance of 105 to come on stream by the first quarter of next year. This is good governance in action. My only problem and concerns has to do with quality control especially the roads. The road jobs are only handled by chalatans and its of great diservice to Imolites. Imolites are particular about GEJ for president but @the state level the dont give a hoot about party affiliations and sentiments. |
I can remember clearly the state of that road since 2010 after i graduated from FUTO. I lost a coursemate in 2006 on that road and the pains. We made presentations to the govt then and I'm suprised its not fixed till now. Even after my masters @The University of Surrey my glorious home coming didnt change the state of that road. Infact within a space of 2years the deceitful Rochas has awarded that road twice with the 10% attendant benefits to his over flowing pocket, not to talk of other keepbacks. I will mobilise the male folks in solidarity so the the unclad story will be DUALIZED as it is the popular lexicon Rochas uses in describing his deceit in road construction. ![]() |

When the word massive is used i'm convinced that the word is not abused considering the volume of work the governor is billed to deliver within the life of his administration. I am particularly impressed with the prudent use of funds as demostrated by Amosun. I will urge governors like Rochas and Uduaghan that literally sleep in private jets to borrow alift from this son of the light in the deployment of state fund to the promotion of good governance. |
The business of prophesy is becoming lucrative by the day. Infact i'm considering giving it a shoot perhaps taking advantage of the present day wave of rascal displays. I have painstakingly complied a list of prophesies and wont mind to give out a few of the many prophesies to advertise my business; 1. Tinubu/Buhari merger to collapse by end of 2014 2. Jonathan will win 2015 election but wont finish his 2nd tenure. 3. Patience Jonathan to drop 8 more wrong grammars before 2015. 4. Amaechi will remain in PDP despite the faceoff with GEJ. 5. I will fall in love with police woman of nairaland any moment from next year. The rest of the prophesies will come in gradually ![]() ![]() |
ngozievergreen: so, he actually promised these rubbish? Haba.My sister the most disappointing part is that all the projects don't go through any bidding process. He single handedly nominates contractors and chooses the most suitable pattern of paying them. Rochas has recorded first in a lot of negatives; first government to pay 100% of contract sum to a contractor with 9% work done, first to have cement block as concrete median in road dualization (aba road to naze junc), made Imo first to have her pupils wear same type of uniform state-wide and have uniforms of pupils imported from india instead of contracting it to the local tailors. As a Civil Engineer, i can make brave to say the Orlu (his village) road dualization project is the only state road project in Imo State that has a design and job specification. The man is a 21st century fraudster. |
I'm happy a christian. |
I have stayed in Imo state for about 20 years, so i can tell the political dynamics and how it swings in Imo state. Considering Imo state with the most literate population in west and central africa ( 83% according to UNESCO) one should expect it to imply that super Professors should be her leaders, as the state boasts of about 12% of professionals in europe and america in 2010. Unfortunately the oust of former governor Ohakim couldnt produce the needed ingredient for good governance. Rochas okorocha came with great expections of improving the people, unfortunately the story is entirely different. Substandard roads litter the whole state with little or nothing to show for funds from the centre. His monumental projects as planned such as the 23 floors hotel, the 12 floors shopping mall, the 7 floors judiciary HQ, the 15 floor hotel in orlu, the 14 floors hotel in Okigwe, the 27 General hospitals, the akachi Tower, the glass roof church project, the 16 floor residential apartments and the city development projects are all abandoned. He has failed to establish the difference between philantropic actions and real governance, little wonder there are uncountable freebies with little or no investments in the real sector. I will only say in summary, that my state Imo is under the rule of a rutherless government. Rating 2/10 |
The stage has finally been prepared for the greater anambra one city project. The man that conceptionalized the louis ojukwu international airport, the onisha boulevard, the onisha shopping mall, the green city project to be developed near awka to serve as the new awka city, the multi-storey hospital project and creation of about 150,000 jobs from the aguleri industrial cluster that houses the refinery, petrochemical industry, artisian clusters and the ppp oil town development similar to bonny island. Please, may i formally introduce the true anambra renaissiance. |
Road construction on that road has began according to a staff of RCC. I marvel at the level of ignorance people spill around even in this rocket age. You think a road construction of that magnitude is like preparing amala and ewedu soup. To set the records straight Section 1 road stretching about 43. 6 kilometres from Lagos to Shagamu Interchange is to be expanded into 10 lanes, has two flyovers, a median of about 5m, streetlights, turning ramps, right of way greens, underground drainages, bridges and box culverts. Section 11 of the project, which is about 84 kilometres starting from Shagamu to Ibadan in Oyo State is to be expanded into 6 lanes with street lights and right of way greens. Jonathan's government is responsive and responsible and it takes a rational person to see through and make assessments. Obj was there for good number of years with close to nothing on that road. Please lets learn the act of gratitude. |
By Monday a Presidential commitee will be setup to see to the burial of the dead mother. Dickson of bayelsa state will be on hand to organise the beauty peagant and will be supported by Miss Banner his SA on bedmatters in honour of the foster dead mother. Most likely we expect Wike, Bipi, Akpabio and Uduaghan to take full responsibilities of carrying the coffin on their shoulders to perform the macabe spiritual dance as that reponsibility has been zoned to the south-south. The sewing of the Yoruba ashebi dresses will be for akala, mulikat and Abati for the south west zone. The running around and peace shuttles round the country to see that the security situation is water tight will be done by babagida aliyu, nyako, kwankwaso, wamakko and tambuwal as its zoned to the north. The lady voiced man (Peter Obi) and Elechi will organise the masquaredes for display on behalf of the south east. Amaechi will lead other governors to a match past to honour the late woman. We urge all APC governors to attend the match past since she was once a children... May her soul rest in peace. More to come soon. |
fuzek: Miss Adamawa is actually Yoruba (father) - Ijaw (mum)Her grand father sef na Igbo while younger brother from gaza... No be only yoruba. |
Imagine such wisdom from a reasonable man. Congrats Dr Pate. I can remember he was one health minister that led by example. |
Eyaa she was once a children now a dead adult. |
