mibas:Thanks a lot. As for dressing as I said, abayas and headscarfs bought. With regards to other people's hubby, I am covered not my style either. I am not posted in Riyadh, I was posted in Tabuk. it looks like a ghost city. Are you in Saudi Arabia? |
gcfrcom:Hey, hope you are doing good. Longest time. I will be leaving soon, I will update this thread. Never been this scared in my life. Abayas and headscarfs bought. Now ready to get into that flight and face the Arabs. ![]() Thanks for asking. |
Ipledge:If people could have a say in how they are created, everybody would be what they think is pretty. Most unfortunately we don't create ourselves. Even if you are good looking, remember the same God that created you can take that away from you in less than a minute. @you and all4naija. In future may they also use your looks to judge you when pursuing your dreams. Amen. |
very talented girl indeed.Go girl and make us proud. Wishing her the best. |
Well, I did. It's compulsory to attend it in the Catholic Church. 6 months in advance. Before I went for it I thought we were gonna be taught about Catholic stuff like prayers etc. It was very interesting I must say. We went through Communication, conflict handling, in-laws, Sex, children, religion, finances and the sacrament part of what marriage means within the church, expectations and reality, common causes of marriage breakdown. We also did case studies. We had different presenters for each section who are expects in different subject matters. Interestingly all were priests. Though I would have preferred the Sex part to be presented by a married person. But it will be your best investment than wedding day preparation. Don't doubt, go for it. Congratulations. All the best. |
Syncan:Wonderful message. Especially about enxiety. I hate enxiety because if reflects how much trust and faith I have in my God. The more anxious, the less faith and trust I have. Have great sunday. |
Heeey guys, Its been long since I opened this thread. As I promised to give feedback on the progress, I will do exactly that. Well, we were booked for marriage classes and fortunately we got good marriage counsellors, who drilled sense in our heads and made us discuss perhaps issue which were of controvesial nature to us. We had so many issue that when we started dissection each and evry one of those issues, I felt that the best way was for us to go our own seperate ways. Well its was hard in the beggining, especially thinking that I waisted three years of my time. But it proved to be a better choice than future divorce. I honestly respect the Catholic church with regards to the way they do marriage preparation. Fortunately my counsellor was a Catholic priest who has been sitting in marriage tribunals that assess if couples are elligible for anulment or not. He really made sense to us. It was a five day course which really knocked me down with vital information. Thanks a lot for your concern and contributions . @EBK2, adconline, funnyx. Thanks a ton. I have good news, though I will share with you when the time is right. ![]() |

babyosisi:I read through your story, I didn't see no error in what I quoted you on. well then you can use Grace and merit to resolve it. |
babyosisi:See your overpowering mannerism and rude attitude If your go inside that meeting with this your Nairaland attitude you will still come back a looser.I read your story and I quoted what you said. ![]() Good luck though. |
babyosisi:Then a second incidence that sealed his dislike of me after I arrived to take up the job stemmed mainly from a rumor that I encouraged a fellow nigerian to apply and interview for his position when it was an interim position for him. To cut a long story short, the Nigerian guy though clearly better qualified and accomplished didn't get the position and this boss and those supporting him are using subtle ways to express their wrath towards me and so far I have maintained my cool. The fact that it was a rumour, to him its the truth. Recommending does not necessarilly mean only sitting on the interview panel, but also means, you encouraged someone to take up his position. Were you not the one who said the copied above ![]() |
In my experience, such conflicts are impossible to resolve, ehn. Once its start on a bad footing, its over. It equates to bad foundation. Prayer can help, and playing cool, rather than having an overbearing or dominating personality. I do agree with cococandy, that outshining him may be his biggest problem with him. The fact that you recommended someone else for his position, for him it amounts to "his enemy" When I was in your position twice, I decided to eventually quit and look for something else. And those were my best career decision because they opened doors for much better opportunities for me, opportunities that I would have never gotten had I stayed. Since then, I never looked back. I was single, so I had a too much flexibility to even move to another city. But your circumstances may be different, I see that u have made up your mind with regards to staying. Good luck ![]() |
GoodFaith:So my statement qualifies me to me a cheater? ![]() No, I have not started cheating on my better half love. I don't think I will. I am scared of embarrassment and STI's.Besides, he has not given me a reason to cheat on him yet. ![]() |
There are a lot of reasons why people decide to cheat, so I wouldn't judge the wife. Who am I to judge. But if she was not caught on camera( exposed ), she may have never felt bad and sorry. The only reason why she is sorry is that the video is now public consumption material. Anyways, together with her husband, I pray they make the best decision for themselves and their family. |
I am speechless ![]() |
Why turn a minor into a maid in the first place. SAY NO TO CHILD LABOUR. If she was not a maid she could have sent her back to her parents when she could not cope with her. ![]() |
I like the way she expose her LV belt. Lol ![]() |
unrefined behaviour |
yoged:Lol ![]() |
laplace12:That was harsh ![]() |
Slimzjoe:I agree with you. Time is not a factor. Some people know each other for 8 yes prior to marriage yet they divorce in the end. |
There is no word in this lifetime that describes this act. Dear God,i pray that you accept his soul regardless of his inequities. May you accept him and welcome him. Amen. |
Pampers:Exactly, I do believe the woman was mentally stable. |
Eeeeeew goose bumps moment. What an eyesore RIP to mama and son.Perhaps the mama was mentally ill. It could be Bi-polar which made her to take a spur of the moment deadly decision. |
Good piece ![]() |
