Nairaland GeneralRe: What Nairaland Female Members' Pictures Say To Me. by chiogo(f): 11:15pm On Sep 27, 2009
Hmph, what a load of balderdash I'm seeing on here!!

First of all, how many women specifically put their pics up for this thread? most of the pics were already there on peoples' profiles hence how the topic was started in the first place.

Maybe few attention-seekers later added their pics just to be commented on. This thread doesn't stop me from changing my profile pic to that of an ocean or whatever I please. so really, drop the crap.

Haha @ SEFAGO, I understand if you're uncomfortable with sharing your college name. I just gotta study history more to find out for myself  tongue. Of course, I know Amherst college. It's a partner college with UMass Amherst, I can literally take classes there if I want.

Hmm, so Oyinda is WeslyanA, Interesting!!  tongue I knew she said she changed her id but I never figured out her old id.

Williams is in MA?? I've probably heard of it but it never stuck, I guess. You seem to consider it a prestigious schools, usually I remember such schools. But you've piqued my interest with the med school thing, I'm definitely looking to go to an ivy-league college for medical school. For undergraduate, it's not really necessary to me.

Vassar? nope.

LOL @ Sagamite.

we have so derailed the thread. Anyway, people aren't born gay, that's my take.

He gave you the clues here:

And he wasn't in the top 1% of SAT, going by one of his old posts that suggests they chilled a bit to take him into his "esteemed-better-than-all-UK-but-unfortunate-in-rankings" university.  undecided
LOL I'm still lost. American/world history is not my forte.  embarassed help please?
SEFAGO:
It has the law school that donald rumsfeld went to after princeton, but he dropped out of it. Never said it was prestigious.
That doesn't in anyway, answer my question. Is the school so sacred that the name cannot be written?

@SEFAGO, we have almost the same SAT scores. you took the SAT's at 14, it's a young age to Americans. But not if you're in Nigeria where people complete high school early. Cornell is a good school, never heard of Williams.  undecided

Most of my ex's r 3 or more yrs older than me,so i dont think is much of a big deal.@least usher married sum with 4 kids yet older than he his.
And did the marriage work out? undecided I'm just saying. I'm sure it's not the age thing that ruined their marriage anyway but that wasn't a really good example.

This topic was created 2 years ago so there's nothing really to say except that this is a stupid question. na nairaland go tell you? grin whatever happened to preference? And hiding your age from her, not cool at all.
CultureRe: Yoruba Is The Most Influential Nigerian Language. Discuss. by chiogo(f): 2:46am On Sep 22, 2009
AfroCynic:
I just think it a stretch to say one language is the most influential out 250 languages (okay lets say only ten are spoken by a million or more people still, it's a stretch) . I think Kano and Kaduna are as diverse as Lagos, No?
Right, you don't hear non-hausas making music in hausa, etc. It's not just about speaking the language. But I guess since most known artistes are in Lagos, it's typical that even non-yorubas speak yoruba. I guess people over stretch the diversity issue being that Lagos is the place where businesses supposedly 'boom'. Yoruba language is likely to be used as the yardstick for the 'most influential' Nigerian language. my view point from what I noticed.
CultureRe: Yoruba Is The Most Influential Nigerian Language. Discuss. by chiogo(f): 2:31am On Sep 22, 2009
AfroCynic:
But would this not be true for say a calabari child born in Kano? She will also grow up with some Hausa, no?
Yes lol. . . .but it seems not many non-hausa people live in hausa states these days. maybe during the civil war, my mother for example lived in maiduguri during the war so she knows some hausa. But there are so many non-yorubas in Lagos, and even Osun state.
