I didnt quote your message so as not to over-extend the thread.

Thanks for reaching out, I'm not offended in anyway. I just think most people didnt really get my angle. I also feel like I probably didnt express the point well enough. Maybe because it wasnt really my idea but one that was ran by me.

In all, we're on the same side. You & Saynotocultism have done so much, thats without question. We cant thank you enough. My prayer is for God to continue to show us mercy & help us recover all the devil has taken from us.

You two have my best wishes now & always.

Wow. Thanks for this insight.

Jajaslim:
Wow this is great! Our leaders should insure it is built, history is very important.

Below is the picture of the “Oba of Ogba land” (HRM Nnam Chukwumela Obi ) in Rivers state.

We Ikwerre people love our Benin brothers and sisters, we are proud of our origin. One love!

We bear similar igbo names because of igbo dominance In our land over the years even before Nigeria was created. We were taught igbo in schools but it all ended after Biafran war when igbos fled.

Just like hausa is been taught in the North when all northerners are not hausa. Even most ethnic groups in the North are not hausa but have hausa names!

Today, across the globe, it’s a known fact that, your name can not tell 100% where you come from.
Politics › Re: Photo: Construction Of Benin Ancestral Hall In Port Harcourt- JEE by Chris525:
Wow I didnt expect you would say that, you're right.

It breeds (unnecessary) distrust - which to be fair to the igbos is not unfounded; considering the war & its marginalisation over the years but really, its time to move on.

With more igbos with your mindset, Ndi igbo will rise again to its rightful place in Nigeria.

flyingpig:
True sha. We have a penchant for trying to define identity of people for them, and it breeds distrust for us. I'm for the opinion we let these guys be who they want to be. I hear u.
Politics › Re: Photo: Construction Of Benin Ancestral Hall In Port Harcourt- JEE by Chris525: 8:50am On Jul 22, 2020
I dont have excuses. Only facts & solid opinion.

A person can be named Emeka by his Igbo mom but an Edo father. Should he identify with his father's people, who are you to question that?

I'm almost sure if a boy, Efosa identified with his igbo dad, the first thing your people will do is change his name. Complex.

Also, the late Majek's father is Ondo, his mom is the Edo. He identified as Edo all his life & the Yorubas never harrassed him.

Its always you Igbos with the complex. Igbo would have harrassed him, asking since when did Edo bear Majekodunmi?

The ruling families with right to the throne in Lagos are Edos but are carrying on as Yorubas. The Edos dont cry about it.

You guys need to loosen up, the war ended a long time ago.

flyingpig:
We answer English due to religion, for the purpose of Christian name when receiving baptism. That is our excuse, so what is the excuse of the Bini man in Rivers answering Chukwudi, Emeka?
Politics › Re: Photo: Construction Of Benin Ancestral Hall In Port Harcourt- JEE by Chris525: 8:09am On Jul 22, 2020
All your brothers with English names - Chris, Arthur, Pius, Evans etc - are Englishmen?

Y'all are hyped when you hear Rotimi Amaechi, but you notice how Yoruba/Edo whose people bear the name Rotimi never seem to fuss? Just as it should be.

If he's their brother he'll come home, if not, he's choosen his path & its okay. Its belittling for an ethnic group to force or claim others especially when all they have as claim is names.

flyingpig:
Confusions grin You're from Bini kingdom but answer Chukwudi grin

Your breakthrough is near. Dont be in a rush to confront your wife, dont give in to your emotions.

For now concentrate on your revival. Work with that Pastor for your restoration, that must be your priority for now.

Keep important details to yourself. When the time is right everything will be clear; what you want & how to go about it.

The Lord is your strength.

I'll answer you so my silence isnt misconstrued.

If we all read to understand perhaps it would be easy. He did hint on redemption at varying intervals. One of which was when he went to strategic places around his school to dig up certain charms things that he buried there many years ago. A man who isnt seeking redemption wont do that.

He has replied to me & we have conversed as men, no rancour. This post like the many others is crying more than the bereaved. Unnecessary.

Thanks all the same.

Thanks for your time.

The use of 'murderer' was to reflect the person that you were, not to malign the current person that you are now. It was not meant to be derogatory.

My interest is not with the story but for your freedom looking at it from the spiritual angle. As you know, only the truth sets free. Be not afraid, God is with you.

Thanks for this thread & all that you do. God bless you.

I must say I commend your contributions to this thread and thank you so much for helping to say no to cultism .

Cultism and not spiritual freedom . Chris525, let me tell you the truth , even if you call me a murderer , it still wouldn’t change the fact that I will bear the consequences of my actions alone and will not share them with you .

My people, please say no to cultism so you don’t start looking for spiritual freedom grin

Morning Guys. Been reading the mentions, you have been so kind, lol.

The message in my last post is straight at the OP & its about his redemption. A bit off the course of the thread but crucial to the OP, should he see it that way.

The friend is a youth pastor. I brought him here so he could see this post & use it in his outreach. I have over 20 people reading from top, a few have read & are active here.

My friend is someone like EnthronedbyGod1 radical in the spiritual. His concern is the redemption of the OP. The OP seems to care so much about his life; thats hardly remorseful for the lives he has taken.

I wont lie, the Pastor did rub off on me. I could keep going on but the question to the OP is: Are you saved? Are you now born of the spirit? Or are you doing this just to be rid of the repercussion of your sins?

You cant eat your cake & have it.

All of these are about you. No where else to reach you hence I put it here.

The thread is great & continues to serve purpose. We move.
Culture › Re: Edo People What Do You Think Of Biafra And Their Ambition? by Chris525: 12:07am On Jul 21, 2020
Speaking Chinese dont make you Chinese.

Igboid:
Language in the end will count. Because nothing preserves history more than language.

So saying language, especially first language and mother tongue is not identity is dubious when you are fighting tooth and nail to make them drop their own language for yours to unify them.

Language uniformity offers unity and a sense of natural and not forced union.

Language uniformity is so important that the biblical God had to create multitude of languages to divide the men trying to build a tower into the sky.
Without a common language, it's impossible to have a viable union. This is why artificial countries create a common lingual franca to unite everyone.

You Edo, Igala and Ijaws trying to capitalize on Igbo loss of power post civil war to annex Igbo speaking groups unto yourselves in hope to swell your numbers, must know that this state of affairs will not last for long.
Eventually your time will be up.
Culture › Re: Edo People What Do You Think Of Biafra And Their Ambition? by Chris525: 11:08pm On Jul 20, 2020
Pls take note of this handle. No one does rubbish or is stupid on this side. You dont have to agree but you're either civil or you go your way.

You've made sensible submission on the thread, dont ruin your streak. The igbanke language is Igboid, period. No need for tantrums.

Be smart with how you read the Benin empire map, its only for historical & educational purpose now. The empire is gone!

You ascribe way too much intelligence to yourself. Everyone are settlers! The first settlers own the land and are the indigenes!

No one is dividing you, dont panic. Igbanke are Edo. Language alone is not an identity.

Logycs:
Stop this rubbish, they are not settlers, they are Edo, the fact a drunk and ignorant so called linguist classified their language as igboid doesn't make them igbo.

Precolonial maps recorded them as Edo.
In Benin empire several languages were spoken by the citizens.

Some of you guys are stupidly helping ipob to devide us.

OP saynotocultism

I put a friend in on this thread and he mentioned some things & had some cogent questions which I will state below:

This thread is supposed to be a confession of your sins which you claim is crucial to your redemption in Christ. The thread actually helps to lay bare the ills & evil which cultism is but is nothing like a confession.

You have mentioned a lot of names & events which have exposed others and the evil they did while posturing yourself as a reasonable, intelligent & witty person - not the heartless, conniving, cold blooded murderer that you really were.

How many people have you killed? Girls you raped? Times you robbed? No one has any idea but we know so much about your fellow cultists. Are you confessing their sins or yours?

If yes, then little about them & more about you & what you did.

Your ID is a secret, but anyone who knew you then can tell who you are from this thread, so what exactly are you hiding?

Thats a summary of his take, reply if you please.
Crime › Re: My Story As A Cult Member........initiation Phase Included... by Chris525: 9:28pm On Jul 20, 2020
You're right. He also had a false air of confidence. Like the OP said, he always gave them money & what not. He thought that was enough.

He even paid the tuition of the guy that ratted on him. Can you imagine? When we say cultism is evil, people will come & talk about being a good cultist.

So sad.

Ent3rpreneur:
Like you said, the blame entirely rests on him.
I feel he's a person that is a "people pleaser" and didn't know how to say "No".

Blame rests on him for being a cultist, for not sensing the urgency in the message given to him.
This also goes to show how you are constantly on the move as a cultist.
Two riff-raffs had a disagreement at point Z, you at point B knew nothing about it, your only crime is that you swore allegiance to a particular group and suddenly you're a target.

You have to abandon anything you're doing at a moments notice and flee while always watching your back.
That is no way to live sad
Culture › Re: Edo People What Do You Think Of Biafra And Their Ambition? by Chris525: 5:29pm On Jul 20, 2020
Any claim that doesnt suit your narrative is delusional & irrational?

Its obvious you went to do a quick research to make that reply, no problem. Unless that with issues like this; you need to read diverse opinions & history on all sides to fully grasp.

Igboid:
There is not a single community in SE speaking an Edoid language.

What we have are some communities in SE who are Igbo speaking but with delusional and irrational stories of migrations from Bini.

Additionally, Igbanke are not settlers in those lands. They just had their land carved into Edo state instead of Delta state like the rest of Igbo speaking communities in the old Asaba division, because they were always scared of Agbor domination and chose to pitch their tent with Edo.
Additionally, Ogbemudia who is Bini but whose mother was Igbanke also played a big role in Igbanke being carved into Edo state instead of Delta like the rest of the Ika speaking groups.
Crime › Re: My Story As A Cult Member........initiation Phase Included... by Chris525:
Allow me disagree with the both of you. The girl didnt do anything. The storyline & the fact that he died makes it pitiful but he had himself killed.

When he got that call, he had no business going back home. It was his life in danger not his girl's or brother's. He should have driven out of town immediately. They could have met him where he was, with whatever was so important that made him go home.

Also the girl could have had no idea. Whether she did or not, knowing what was at stake, he should have turned down the request. He was in charge & should have done so, he didnt.

Lastly, all of it would never have happened if he wasnt a cultist.

Biafra has no business with Edo or claiming any part of Edo. True, the igbanke of Edo speak ibo but thats about what there is to it. They are settlers.

All over the south, even in the SE, up to Benue & Kogi there are people speaking Edoid languages. Edos will not go there to claim their land or impose anything on them. Its common sense.

In this era of social media & free speech, online or public space is littered with junk & half thoughts. We must be smart about what we react to.

Edo has never been involved directly or indirectly with the Biafra struggle. Edo has no part to play or relationship of any sort with the struggle. Safe to say Edo do not support & also are not against but no doubt their body language is tilted towards Nigeria. More like a neutral with a preference. I also dont think the Igbo see them as their antagonists.
