If you are a DIY'er I am very happy to answer questions and offer advice.

There is a clear difference between the two. I do solar for a living and if you are willing to patrnonize someone other than me it is your right. However if you want a performance problem diagnosed it is a minimum of N7500. And if it is an unusually bad job that fee is double

How did you connect ten 12 V batteries to the Schneider XW+?

Oga Chris Goodmorning watched your YouTube videos and needed clarification on the issue if Generator set when offgrid. If one has sufficient panels will one still need a gen set? Abi had large array so why would he still a genset since he is in imploring and sunlight is not a problem? It seems the Trojans are not what they used to be or we have a specific problem with those been supplied. Have you been able to recover the faulty cell you tried rejuvenating? Is the US battery in your bank ever had the same issue that you are experiencing with the Trojans ?

Good day. In the United States where I live they recommend that you have a generator when you are off grid. If you maintain a normal life style there are times in the year where the sun is not sufficient. For me November to February and again during the rainy season. You will break out the generator once every two weeks.
The cell has started to come back. I will or have upload video two and then do video three. The US Battery is different from the Trojan. I got it 18 months ago. It uses much less water and I don't seem to experience the same problems. But then the Trojans where more abused too.

Crest factor of 1.5 is the amount by which it can surge. 1190 x 1.5.

The experience I have is similar to the experience many off grid people have. The cure is exactly what I am doing. So if you have a different solution I would like to hear them. My batteries will soon be 3 years old (sorry for the typo) and I am having the same results now as I did at the beginning.
Off grid folks get ten years from the L16 doing what I am doing.

This will entail moving heat from one room to the next, since ice will be the major driver.

The blueprint is simple, get a container for the ice/water, then isolate that container from the environment so that you are not adding humidity back into the room.

Next, pipe the water in the cooler through the radiator using a small aquarium type pump. The roadiator should now become ice cool since its a good thermal conductor.

Lastly, a fan would be run across the radiator, to chill the air coming in from the intake.

I was on the phone with w nairalander yesterday morning. I was shocked when he told me about the sudden death of 3 of 16 units of his flooded L16 Batteries.
Is it that we are doing something wrong.

I just feel we need to identify what we are doing wrong so we can improve on our past error.

Anyway, if those batteries were sold for the prices we got them in 2014, one would have replaced them all without hesitation.

I will load it soon. I have some of the issues that Sapiro mentioned with mine as well. However they have performed well. We have one of the batteries that has a discharged cell. The specific gravity in that cell indicated that what we have is water relative to the others. We will continue to run equalization till we correct it or ditch it
Update 851 pm. For the first time since I returned to Lagos my batteries are holding above 25 volts at night. They are at 25.44 with my freezer and lights on. Changed my charger settings and the batteries got hot. You could make tea with the electrolyte. All the cells boiled and burbled except one. It got hot but no gas or burbling.
We will do it again tomorrow. Brute force from my AC charger and my charge controller seems to do it. They cool down today and tomorrow we give it another try.

Finally ve united my Trojans. Back to 48v set up now.
So I now discharge gently.
Since I am 100% off grid. Saving for additional 1kw to hit 5kw PV strength.
After then start saving for battery replacement.
Not sure if I would love to have a repeated flooded experience.

I have had the same experience with my batteries multiple times. It happens the same time every. When I am away and Nepa goes with me. You can't be off grid and not have a generator, you will damage your batteries.
Run an equalization charge twice the first week and then every week for a month. Make sure you fully charge your batteries every day. They will recover. Mine took much longer this time than the last.
I am doing a video on it. You will see it on my YouTube channel next week.

Yes I know BT for areas with high humidity , dehumidifier is available for purchase .. They work real good as I use 1 in my room. I don't run AC always as I save more with Chillers (Dehumidifier optional)

I have dehumidifiers in my house and they consume a lot of power. They operate on the same principle as an AC to remove gallons of water from the air. When I go back home I will post pictures of one that I have in the family room.

You are free to always explore as chillers are cheaper than inverter compressor 1hp Aircons.. I have used Scanfrost chillers(170w max consumption & uses 20-30L water reservoir for chilling) in most of my installations and they have been working real good & Scanfrost also provides good customer service ...

My understanding about swamp coolers or chillers is that they don't work very well in areas with high humidity. An AC removes humidity, this adds it. How do you address the issue with mold that comes with the high humidity? I have a genuine interest please don't see this as an attack. I am buying an AC for the office this week. Would explore this option if I get a good response from you.

I was using qasa 56' but the 20w consumption on mid was too high for me and it doesn't push air the way I wanted so I had to change it to something better 13w on mid air is awesome

I have the Qasa wall fans what did you replace them with. We run three all day.

replace energy guzzling loads, there are ceiling fan of 5w-28w, standing fan of 14w-35w. Energy saving bulbs (led) of 5w-18w. For security lights I will advise flood light of 20w-30w. These can cut down your consumption to 3-4kwh at night

A client of ours has 10 W LED flood lights and they are very effective. Blinding. I have two of them useless during the day and powerful at night. The area they focus on, lights up like day light

#1 his pricing on the website is wrong and he does not have a lot of the items. I have purchased items from him. No Issues. He is in Alaba though.

Please House what could be happening, even after some major service I still could not harvest up,to 500w from a 1200watts of Solar Panels (300watts x4 Mono) with an Mppt charge controller. I need solar professionals to assisit because I need to maximize my installation.

Bros thanks for the laugh. These were his third set of batteries since 2014. He spent over 2 million to purchase 8 Deka batteries and his old provider mixed them in with the old. When we spoke I told him to turn the inverter off and continue to run his generator. We came up with the solution that you saw. The Victron with the battery monitor. The auto gen start function was set to trigger when certain events occurred.

Thank you for the clarification. That was our first observation. Different AH and types. But there are people within this form that think it is acceptable. What do I know. We showed pictures of after and before.
