I went down a rabbit spending hole and the problem was something that I had suggested to my mechanic to replace. Three radiator later, over 30 liters of transmission fluid, new thermostat, new AC fan. The last radiator failed and pumped coolant into the transmission. I had to purchase prestone radiator flush to remove the oil in the cooling channels. The one before that I replaced the timing belt and water pump. The radiator fan was the culprit. If yours spins freely by hand replace it. Over 700k and it was a fan clutch that failed. |
Myrepublic:In Ghana there is a dump site that has been burning for years. In the US there have been dump sites with tyres that burnt for weeks It is not unique to Nigeria. Your organic waste turns into methane gas as it decomposes. That Sweet smell that you perceive when you go past waste dump sites is methane. Trapped methane will explode under the right conditions. |
The Giant is here. It is no gentle giant. It has landed and it shook the building to it's very foundation. This is a real game changer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49M_pvT3M78 |
ewizard1:There are companies that make a living repurposing EV cells. Go on eBay and you will see them. Bigbattery.com does brisk business repurposing cells. The people selling you a battery should tell you that. They should not quote the original capacity of the cells. If they were at 100% they would still be in the vehicles. |
Juror:Dr Solar responding. It clearly states that the issue was the Kazeem that sold the battery. It states the load and what the battery can handle. It states that the load was more than what the BMS can handle. Yohako should disclose that they are selling repurposed cells. The capacity that they stated is false. They should correct that too. I did not have issues with the battery till I opened it. Watch the video again |
primefaith1:I don't accept your challenge. Do your own video showing why you disagree with me. |
vivalavida:Six cylinder and 88 liters with reserve. |
chris81964:You are by far driving external traffic to this video. Thank you. This my best performing video ever. First to be at almost 1000 views in less than 48 hours. Thank you Nairaland.

chris81964:This video must have hit a sore spot. This is the fastest I have reached over 300 views in more than one year. There is a lot of pain in our market. A lot of deception too. Buyer beware. |
How did this end? Any follow up? |
surrogatesng:The later models had the more powerful inline 6 cylinder engines |
I went to the East by road, Wednesday last week. One tank took me from Lagos to Owerri. Improvement from before but still atrocious gas mileage. AC was on made one 5 minutes stop and drove till we stopped in Owerri. I lose range in traffic. 80 km driving to the Ihiala check point. Comfortable ride. Left Lagos atabout 520 am, I was in Owerri Bon Hotel by 320 pm. |
Anyone of you driving a black Pajero yesterday driving from Benin towards Lagos? Nice clean truck. |
Men future proof yourselves. Save and save and save. Invest in income generating ventures. Not your brother or cousins business. Unless you are Dangote level rich, you will become redundant once your income level drops. Give up something today to safeguard your tomorrow. Save and save. 20% of everything you earn every month. Put it away. |
I hope this is my last one of the year. The new radiator failed. It was installed in July. Since we were pulling out the radiator, I replaced the water pump and timing belt using original Mitsubishi parts. The PCV tube was clogged so he cleaned it. Looking to buy a new one. The transmission issue was caused by low fluid levels. A big dooh or slap in the face there. Spent a ton on fluids to find this out. I hope this is it for a long time. Summary of what has been done. Air filter Spark plugs 6 Tensioner and belt 6 ignition coils Tie rod ends lower control arms Front ball joints 3 wheel bearings Front and rear brake pads Parking brake shoe Shift sensor Fluids and filters transmission Differential (front and rear) and transfer case fluids Pulleys Seafoam treatment Manual cleaning of intake manifold Numerous bulbs Gear shift selector rubber and mat Valve cover gaskets Engine Oil cap Fuel cap Radiator cap Thermostat 4 new tyres Water pump Timing belt Steering boots (rubber) Blocked rear heater I will update if I missed anything. |
Gadafii:Not an excuse to break the law. A child dressed as an adult is not an adult. |
AutoMoTech:The owners manual called for ATF SP 111. I used that. I drained out 4 lliters and added Valvoline Max Life. Yesterday it performed normally. I changed the coils a day before. Coincidence? With the old fluid on start up it will jump out of gear and then bang in. It might do it one or two times. With Maxlife, it did it but not with the jerk and once it engaged it was fine. |
Shagati:Initially to remove the old fluid. If you don't flush, you do a drain and fill. Subsequent times the wrong fluid. I followed the manual and it would jump out of gear in the morning till it warmed up. The last drain and fill improved it. One more and I am good to go. |
Update. I have done so much since my last update. New radiator Néw ball joints New tie rod ends New right wheel bearing Transmission drained and filled countless time New shift sensor New transmission filter All 6 ignition coils I have spent half the price of the truck on fuel and maintenance. I hope to see a big improvement in fuel mileage. The two I initially changde yielded a 15% improvement. I am hoping for a 30% improvement. That will save me 300k every 10 months. Next on the list minor body work and a repaint. My brother leaves his GL and borrows my truck. Mine will get him home all the time. |
An incredible race. Watched every minute. Safety car did Charles in. The pace they had on the mediums was mind blowing relative to their past. That last lap move on Check, one for the newsreel. Good show Las Vegas. |

chris81964:What has your experience been? |
gadgetplanetng:Sorry to hear. Reach out to Schneider they will make you whole |
Inverter Warranties are they real? I remember my first purchases with excitement, I was finally going to install solar inverters branded with my name. It was a disaster of epic proportions. The inverters failed on installation and the supplier blamed us for connecting the inverter to a large generator. Totally BS answer. This was Tanfon Lily. Then we did Yiyen and my rep and the company stopped answering messages and email, when we tried to file a warranty claim. Another supplier told me that they would send me replacement parts whenever I placed another order. I have detailed my experiences in this video of the good, the bad and the ugly. Please share yours and comment on mine. Thank you. Victron Energy SolaX Power Schneider Electric Solar LuxpowerTek Deye Inverter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpiGRh5GFNc |
FBS:F1 drivers are not a hot humble lot. He and Mercedes rolled the dice. They went for the win. At those levels of concentration and speed it was no surprise that he crashed. I like him and I see him as a future champion. Remember when we called Max crashterpen? |
