gurunlocker: They've been borrowing for 5 years more than any administration, out of what you listed, what have they fixed?
I was in ikeja yesterday the final leg of the Lagos ibadan final rail lines are being fix. For your information .There are 2 standard guage rail lines and 1 narrow guage. The 1 standard and 1 narrow guage fully completed. The last leg of the remaining 2nd guage should be completed at the rate they are moving by month ending. Even work on the terminals have resumed and at fast pace. So what are you talking about guy
festacman: Your leaders wasted your wealth, leaving you without basic infrastructure.
China was ready to lend you money to treat the F*ck up of your leaders but made sure that your leaders won't do to their money what they did to your money.
Yet some Nigerian are yarning opata. The funny thing is that even young Nigerians are not bothered that Nigeria in 2020 has no functional train transportation routes. Yet, when time the for election comes, they will get Atikulated or Sarakified.
Look, if China gives any country money to build a facility and then it fails to repay, it is only natural that they will take over the facility like our own AMCON does and run to recover their money and interest. At least, the facility is in the country, providing jobs. There is price to be paid for stupid visionless leadership.
May God bless you. We have many senseless and shameless youths on this forum. Please join me in praying for the reformatting and re compartmentalisation of their reasoning faculties.
dignity33: I strongly believe that Sowore is not serious about change in government but using this means to achieve his political gain.
No uprising start by revolution, no government in this world we watch a citizen calling for revolution or a change of government using illegal means even the U.S. can not. Sowore should have use other peaceful way to convene protest not calling for a revolution.
jerseyboy: Freedom for you, freedom for me. Everywhere in our land, there must be freedom.
History has it's moments and this might just be ours. For centuries our African landscape has been damaged by always the worst form of governance on our planet earth. Our people, too timid, too fearful, too cowardly and frankly too stupid to do a damn thing for positive change.
While our ancestors masked their willingness to live in oppression by hiding behind a myriad of custums and proverbs, our continental has never knowed real freedoms and liberties. That is the type freedoms and liberties sort of taken for granted by citizens in the west. Are we less human than them? Are we created by a lesser God? It is ours to answer these questions.
That we are poor don't mean we cannot be free. The freest people of the world also are the wealthiest. Freedom is wealth.
The condition of Nigeria is over riped for a REVOLUTION. This could be our moment. Seize it. This could be our movement. Seize it.
Let us resolve TODAY to FREE OURSELVES. Let us resolve TODAY to FREE NIGERIA.
For FREEDOM, LIBERTY OR DEATH.
JOIN REVOLUTION NOW.
join who sowore. The blackmailer, political henchman. Which revolution. Are you talking about NANS orchestrated protests. Checkout many of the so-called protesters are student union activist with many out of school for years claiming to be student union members. Sowore is not being sincere. He knows what he is fighting for. I can boldly say it's not for Nigeria or it's youths.Check out all is SR reports as always been directed at those he has issues with. He pounces on you only when he is directed. In as much as SR reporting goes along way in showing some of the issues we have as a nation .He has also learnt to benefit from it. Ask your self the meaning and benefit of his revolution now. Even the man in Ajegunle does not know it's happening
Keep masturbating Obaseki blokos .Oba of Benin can never and will never be equated to that. However the cultural believe of the people in terms of respect and reverence is also important.if you needed to go to the place of your king and knowing full well the customs and traditions of the place. You are meant to observe it .by virtue of you being from Benin ,and outsider can be excused ,not you
Bigflamie: I don't get it, who is contesting between Oshiomole and Ise-Iyemu? What sort of country is this for Christ sake. This brazen display of stupidity should make that Isa-Iyemu not to get any vote from Edo populace. See impunity. Tufiakwa.
Obaseki made it so. Oshiomole is there to distract him. Ize-iyu is busy going for one village to the other doing grassroot things. Obaseki the busy form blue collar campaign. Who is stupid the so-called son of the soil that fails to understand the culture of is people would definitely be taught by a stranger
Everything they do, they always compare to GEJ administration, even security situation.
They will be calculating or comparing the number of people that died during a bomb blast in the last administration and this administration
you are also terrible. His reference to Jonathan was as a result of the statemen t of the PDP guy who lacks understanding. He was calling him out for critising him for the same exact terms PDP signed with China. All countries borrow. Even if we like we borrow 100bn it not the issue.were we have issues is the sincerity and commitment. If 100bn would fix Nigeria once and for all I will support it. Provided that there is a payment plan couple with beneficial impact assessment to Nigerians in all aspects. If 100bn would fix our economy, security Nepa etc for once we should borrow and ensure its implemented. Borrowing is not bad in it self. Our people are the issue. Including you
psucc: So APC is simply competing with PDP over bad governance. This what PDP used 16years to do; APC capped it in just 5years. Who says they've not achieved something?
Failure is when you use another's failure to justify your incompetency.
the question many of you guys refused answering is very glaring .Even down to your so-called Representatives in Abuja. Nation's borrow. The issue is the terms and how it's been implemented. aMeachic said something very sensible. The issue is that many of you just rant without reasoning. Are. The projects there to see. Yes. The issue I have is the terms as regards the issue of local content. That's were they failed. Buying bulk of all materials needed for the project from chaina without recourse to local content is the issue. Steel imported could have been sourced from ajaokuta. The reasonable thing would have been borrow money from China with it's expertise to fix ajaokuta ones and for All. That would dramatically reduce the cost and amount of what needs to be borrowed in Future. Bulk of what the Money is being used to purchase is .steel. we have it in abundance. If it's fixed. They would export and make money. Paying back would be easy. China is smart. They need to offload their steel glut as a result of the tradewar.nigerians and all who argue are just plain stupid. We leave the main strategic questions. We need asking studio questions.even the so called reps.

Offortex: No matter your level of academic attainment: The foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of man. Onochie abi wetin den call you go read your Bible : Proverb 23 vs 13-14 so that you will have sense!
you should read the Bible well. The word rod is not what you think it is. Check well. All you underbaked Bible scholars
edoairways: Let give a disserted view from a bible scholar on discpline. This will answer your question on the word rod. "Christian parents frequently seek the Bible in their effort to raise godly children. They believe that there is a biblical mandate to spank and they fear that if they don't spank, they will commit the sin of losing control of their child. They believe that God has commended them to spank and they take “spare the rod and spoil the child” literally, but in doing so they misunderstand the concept of the rod. The following are the biblical verses which have caused the greatest confusion: 1.He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.” (Proverbs 13:24)
2.“Folly is bound up in the heart of a child. But the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.” (Proverbs 22:15)
“3. Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod he will not die. Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death.” (Proverbs 23:13-14)
4. “The rod of correction imparts wisdom, but a child left to itself disgraces his mother.” (Proverbs 29:15) At first glance these verses seem to be in strong support of the use of corporal punishment, but do they really? Through a closer examination of the Hebrew word for “rod” (shebet) one can see that in the Hebrew dictionary it has various meanings, a stick for walking, writing, fighting, ruling, and punishment. The word “shebet” is most frequently used when referring to shepherds who are tending their flocks. The Shepherds used the stick to fight off prey and to gently guide wandering sheep, not to beat them Reread the passages above and replace the references to punishment and the use of the rod with the word “accountability” and the meaning stays the same.
For example: Proverbs 13:24 would read, “He who spares accountability hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.”
Proverbs 22:15 would read, “Folly is bound up in the heart of a child. But holding him accountable will drive it far from him.”
Proverbs 23:13-14 would read, “Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you create a culture of accountability he will not die. Create accountability and save his soul from death.”
Proverbs 29:15 would read, “The culture of accountability imparts wisdom, but a child left to itself disgraces his mother.”
Christians believe that the bible is the inspired word of God and yet while holding fast to interpreting the “rod” in the Proverbs passages above as a mandate to spank, they dismiss other passages that seem too harsh by today’s standards, such as, “Anyone who attacks his father or his mother must be put to death.” (Exodus 21:15) or “If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother, and his blood will be on his own head.” (Leviticus 20:9) Almost every parent would admit that their child has at one time said, “I hate you.” or “You’re not the boss of me.” or maybe, “F--- YOU.” But no one would say that their child should be put to death. And we would all agree that that child needs to held accountable for their choice in behavior. The Bible simply does not support spanking, it supports holding children accountable. Source :Biblical Perspectives on Spanking By Thomas Haller and Chick Moorman
Rondigee: I don't think you know what child abuse is, what is the nature of the abuse, was the child beaten? He did something wrong and the mother threatened to beat, he was not even beaten and you said child abuse. Go and sleep
you don't even know the meaning of abuse not to talk of child abuse. Child abuse refers to any emotional, sexual, or physical mistreatment or neglect by an adult in a role of responsibility toward someone who is under 18 years of age. It refers to any kind of action or failure to act that results in harm or possible harm for a child. The keyword as regards to the boy is Emotional. He was being emotionaly abused The child even beg not to be taped. It sad that adults would behave in such manner
Brandonx: She should shut up. She's acting like she's not aware how silly Nigerian children can get at times. When you ask them don't do that's when they want to do. Don't discipline your kids all in the name of trauma and when they grow they can't face tough situations. That's why suicide is on the rise.
it means you are silly also. That a child is silly does not warrant being displayed online without his or her consent.even from the video the child knew the implications of that. It's sad that adults would justify the showing of such online. The parents should be sued. I would never tolerate such .
muykem: You are very wrong ma. You can't know more than bible. Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die pro 23v13.
the Bible never said you show it to the world on social media. Corrections should be done out of love. The truth is this is a case of child abuse. Irrespective of the comedic relief .The boy is a child that needs protection. He was accused of theft .taking what does not belong to him.forget what you see as benefits .he can be bullied and called names in future by friends classmates etc as a result of the video which he might not like. This can result into depression. The primary issues is the recording and publications.take a scenario in future he goes for an interview .he was ask are you not the boy who stole his mother's stuff.and he said yes all a sudden the busted into laughter . someone says hope you will not do the same here jokingly. That speaks alot.
WATCHOVER: Childish analysis. One sided analysis. The useless analyst call Yusuf failed to understand that those who went to the Palace to cause confusion were not the electorate but disgruntled elements who were sponsored by Tony Kabaka and Captain Hosa Okunbor. Edolites will send them parking finally.
Another thing is the Palace is supposed to be a place where discipline should be imbibe, Palace should reorganise itself so that things of this kind nature does not repeat it self, if not it will become a safe heaven for touts.

Notatribalist: Just Google obaseki achievement and you will see a verifiable tangible achievement. The governor does not make noise and does not commission projects that's why you guys thinks he is not working.. Go and YouTube and see his housing project, Azuri power plant,Edo Refinery,Edobest ,Edo technical college.and many more has done.do you think they calls him wake and see governor for nothing? Before this man became governor we are all aware of how pensioners were dying from protest because of government refusals to pay them,There is even video by one penson that speak to that effect,go and find out.Since Obaseki became governor have you heard of any protest by pensioners? What about the Agberos that were intimidating the market woman and the Drivers? They are no more there.Look,we need to look beyond party affiliation support what's good.. guy let him come out openly and tell us what he has been able to achieve.all this google it is rubbish.there are various patched up documentaries online.why is it difficult for him to puplicly tell us what he has done.its just funny.showing just a negligible few is not it.how many market women in total actually benefited from the government, how many artisans or student etc .give us numbers and facts not all these. For every stuff shown there are also counter claims by indigenes of his non -performance. Mind you the same PDP just some few weeks back claimed Obaseki was the worst governor ever to seat on the chair.so what changed in less than 6weeks ,was it performance ask yourself
PVision2020: Obaseki is not a politician aswear. You had over 2 years to finish Oshiomole's structure in the state and put in place yours but he concentrated all his arsenal in bringing Oshiomole down not knowing that Oshiomole is just the head of a structure/cartel that dominate the state. 2019 general election presented him the golden opportunity to put his loyal men in place since the state party structure is in his grip but he slept off and only woke during their inauguration and swearing in, or how do you explain why over 18 out of 24 members of the state HOA will be in your enemies camp? You checkmated Kabaka and Co without putting your men in place leaving them to still run the street. Obaseki never had a plan B (defecting to PDP), he thought Oshiomole would go down soon enough to provide an easier route for him. But in politics you need to have plan A, B and C.
Only a political neophyte will downplay this defections.
I wish him the best sha.
I had explained this to them this morning. There is still a card he can play Sha. But he no Sabi politics.election is not won online. .I have said it. 3weeks to elections .shock go fall. All this little info is what you would Galvanize into tsunami that will sweep him out. He needs to consult we Sabi politics if he does not want embarrassing defeat.
Fragility6: He pays salary yet they are about going on strike? Why are they going on strike again coz i no read d news well? My only issue with dat guy was blaming somebody that has left office how many years as the cause of non-payment of salaries even though the governor den was still an idiot.
breaking news.they have called up the strike. The workers know how it operates. Many are grateful for his ability to pay their salaries.they know the true story.was it not the same ado in the immediate past pots were stolen on fire due to non payment of salaries. That is no longer happening.Yes things are tough economically. The devaluation of our Naira is a major issue. Also Ado ekiti is the most expensive state capital in amongst the entire south western state even kogi and kwara inclusive relatively. The cost of even local agricultural produce is higher than what is obtained in Lagos. They only way forward as earlier stated in dialogue on how they can spread the payments.mind you it can not be paid by this government without a trade-off.something must be abandoned for that to happen.or if they borrow to pay it. .The question is what changed their mind? Sometimes the labour leaders are well informed but choose to play to the gallery, while some are in need of political patronage. .which ever. I know for a fact salaries are being paid. How ever I would strongly wish a lot is done as regards the take home pay for state civil servants,it's very poor.some earn as much as 48k a graduate with 4 children with 1or two in the university. There should be a law limiting employment without proper renumeration. States salaries should be almost at par with that of The FG. Only few states like Lagos pay close to FG,even at that there is still a substantial difference
freeDR: Stop being mischievous. You dolt. Fayemi has not been paying deductions.
show your proof.it something to claim and another to proof .kindly give evidence to show that the deduction s are not being paid And please state which.
toask111: I can see that you don't really have a clue about the issue been discussed here, you are just commenting just to defend the Governor.
For your information, the Federal Government ha directed the CBN and other FAAC agency to stop deductions from State Governments monthly allocations for the next 1 year since May due to the effect of Covid-19 on the economy of the Country.
So for now, Bail out repayment and other charges are not being deducted from Ekiti State Government FAAC Allocation for the next 1 year.
And for your information Ekiti State Government received N4.04 Billion as Allocation for the MONTH OF APRIL ALONE out of the N780 Billion that was shared as FAAC: On the other hand, five states with the share of total gross allocations for the month of April 2020 include – Kwara, Ekiti, and Nassarawa with N4.04 billion, N4.04 billion and N4.11 billion respectively. Others include Ebonyi (N4.14 billion) and Gombe state (N4.19 billion).
In April Ekiti State Government received N4. 04 Billion asides about N6 Billion received by the Local Governments in Ekiti State
You have been calling me a liar since without pouting out where I lied. You don't even know if I am older than you are or not. Fayemi collects N300 million every month as SECURITY Votes despite knowing that Ekiti is not rich but he is finding it difficult to pay money deducted from Civil Servants salaries.
Who is deceiving who.
You don't know if I work in the Accountant General or I am part of his appointees. These figures I am posting out is known to the public. You need to make your findings. This will be my last response or you on this topic.
That why I say you are lying.if you are an apointee.i can bold say you renumeration s are intact. Like wise if you are a civil servant your salary is being paid .even now you have been paid for what it's worth.security vote has been part of the system from time even from the military regime.even in advance democracy it's there. Even the newspaper clippings you qoute used the word "urged" .it's simply means to plead or persuade.so it's not a fact. The governor's urged the FG ,CBN and Finance minister to suspend the debt repayments.howere this was the position of the minister. The President, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has approved the suspension of the payment of interest on debts owed by state governments.
Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, who disclosed this at a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, said this was part of measures to reduce the debt burden on state governments.
The Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning is expected to meet with the Central Bank of Nigeria to work out details of the moratorium.
The moratorium, according to the minister, would be granted on the Federal Government and CBN-funded loans in order to create fiscal space for the states, given the projected shortfalls in FAAC allocations.
Accordingly, she said as soon as monthly average FAAC receipts fell below a specific threshold, interest and capital payments by states would be suspended till monthly average FAAC receipts exceeded the threshold.
The issue is we like speaking half truth. The issues was a proposal that has not been fully implemented. You said ekiti got 4bn in April .yes but it was as a result of 34% increment in Allo cation due to some factors amongst which was additional injection of funds from the national reserve.
Please at no point in time did local government in ekiti got 6bn per month . Average Allo cation to all local government in ekiti is around 2.1-2.4bn monthly Presently that threshold has not been meet fully. The total allocation for ekiti state was around 41-42bn while that of the local governments was around 22bn.for the whole 2019. Mind you some states gets much more that this in 2months
https://www.proshareng.com › ...PDF Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) - Proshare Nigeria Please search for ekiti allocation for 2019 and for 2020(jan-march). It's all there
diaspora vote na him they win there own elections.ask them. They like gather for Japan them like gather for italy.it does not translate into votes. Charity begins at home. This is the type of story needed to decieve the guilible after your own family members categorically states you are nothing but a failure
Fragility6: Very stupid statement. How many years has Fayemi bin in position dat Fayose is still blamed for his incompetence. Same way buhari foolishly decieve ur type of pple with drab thinking that he met no money when he entered power. Some of una 4 thus forum go dey reason like fools
he's not stupid as you claimed.fayemi pays salary.presently no civil servant can tell you he has not received his or her salary .the issue of salary his that of backlog .this was during fayose's term. The civil servants, were afraid of asking him then. Yes government should pay cause it's their sweat .going on strike will not solve anything.dialoque on how to pay and how they can help government in spreading that payment should be their plan I tell you no Government would be able to pay the money in bulk without support from the FG.presently bulk of the allocation is being used for recurrent.leaving little or nothing after debt deduction.estimated 2.6bn. even if they save their remaining 400m for 1year he would only be able to pay for 2months leaving no visible project's on ground.its a catch 22 situation
toask111: The state finance has improved. The least FAAC Allocation shared during the second term of Fayemi is around #561 Billion Naira while the least FAAC Allocation shared during the Government of Fayose was around #270 Billion.
Since Fayemi came into office in 2019, FAAC has shared close to #900 Billion.
Mind you, the Allocation that has been coming to both the state and Local Government has never been less than #8 Billion. Of you want to quote a location figure, please quote both the state and the Locla Government.
The least allocation coming to any Local Government in Nigeria is higher than #100 million every month. You can quote me anywhere. It is the greediness of the State Governors that has been affecting the payment of salary and progress of this country
There you go again. How much accrued to ekiti. Since Fayemi came in mind you. Fayose was also collecting close to 1bn every month for budget support funds, apart from bailout funds. There was moratorium on debt repayment to ekiti date during his tenure .debts were not paid back this is a FACT in case you don't know.presently All bilateral and multilateral debts are being deducted along with the Paris funds.so telling me that was shared is hogwash. Simply put. How much is the actual money accruing to ekiti after all deduction
toask111: It is part of the Labour Leaders damands.
Check item 2
once again .it's not stated.yo need to understand the word used there.it says No commitment.simply put Government should back such funds with money. I know for example like housing loans .it over subscribed. Some have their names on the list but the funds available can not accommodate every one. That is different from your outrigth lie
Seems you didn't understand my point. Please, try to read in between the line of my earlier comment.
I said MOST CIVIL SERVANT IN EKITI STATE ARE IN COOPERATIVE UNIONS and that SOME of them HAVE TAKEN BANK LOANS. these loans and cooperative moneys are been DEDUCTED FROM source from THEIR SALARY, before they get paid at all. Yet, Fayemi has not been RELEASING/PAYING these MONTHLY SALARY DEDUCTIONS to various Cooperative unions or Banks.
Let say Mr A is collecting #50,000 as monthly salary from Fayemi's Government, and Mr A is either Contributing #25,000 to a Cooperative Union or Bank every month.
#25,000(50%) will be Mr A's Net pay Every month while #25,000 is being deducted every month from his salary that is to be remitted to either Cooperative Union or Bank every month. But the state Government has been deducting his money but has refused to release it to the appropriate quarter since December, 2019.
This is what I meant by saying that THE FAYEMI HA SBEEN PAYING HALF SALARY SINCE December, 2019
Guy one again I say you are lying. That a government pays you you net salary of 50k. And you choose on your own to go and borrow from a cooperative against your salary is your choice. That does not mean you were not paid.its simple logic.
1.Mr A nets pay is still 50,000 not 25,000 as claimed. 2. I can tell you that funds are being remitted to various cooperative. The only time issues were had was during the lockdown which was due to more of administrative issues. I know people who run cooperatives in ado. I know the processes .I know how the templates are derived ,I know how the procedure down to the office at oke ori-omi: the mention of that should make you know I know what am saying.if you know what it means. So please stop saying stories you have no facts about. Do civil servants salaries need to be increased based on the current economic situation:yes but also the citzenry deserve a better deal. Salary increment based on the meager allocation to ekiti is not sustainable. Recurrent estimated monthly expenditure is 2.6bn leaving 400m for developmental and capital project's . Maybe all allocation should be use for salary parent.i bet you I would not still be enough. Collectively we all need to look inward on developing and generating revenue
toask111: You need to verify information before you make your opinion.
For your information Fayemi has been paying half Salary since December, 2019. You should ask my why. He has been paying NET SALARY to Civil servants while WITHOLDING THE LARGER PART of Civil Servant's salary. Most civil Servants are either into Cooperative and some have taken Bank loans which are been deducted from their salary every month. Failure to make monthly repayments on these loans has resulted in bank charges and Cooperative unions are not giving money out to its members to finance individuals projects.
Mind you, Fayemi did promotion arrear of 2018 and 2019 to Ekiti workers since January but he is yet to give the FINANCIAL benefits to workers.
During the electioneering campaign he promised to pay 5 months salary arrears owed Ekiti State workers but he is yet to fulfill that promise.
During his first term in Office, he left 3 months salary Deductions left unpaid. He used the money for his failed 2 term re election in 2014.
He has come this time again to use Civil Servants Salary deduction for his Presidential Election plan.
95% of civil servants are into one or two cooperative unions and about 60-70 percent of their salary are been put into cooperative unions. They are saving these money to either build house, buy car and do other important things. Instead of using it to buy cloth or partying around.
Fayemi is a big disappointment to be honest with you.
even the labour leaders are not claiming that as their excuse for going on strike. Please be honourable when you lie

civil servants and cooperative are like 5 and 6. Since he came has the allocation to the state improved? Has he paid out of the salaries being owed? You lie f claiming half salary being paid means he his paying half of what was paid as salary during osoko era? Guy I can stand to say you are a confirm liar. Yes promotional exams were conducted last not 2018. That of 2018 was by the outgoing without plans for payment.we all knew why. That stretch into late 2019 with even employment exercise. All this can not be sustained by any government with this Corona Economy. Please be factual.even states with better allocation finding it difficult paying salaries.

why lie. No body earns half salary in ekiti.so stop spreading lies
