Nothing but the truth..but I believe there is more to it..the runway according to an article I read was really bad ..Inshort I believe the US guys deemed it unusable.. remember that a cargo plane will deliver it..it not as if the a 29 will fly all the way from the US... so I believe that runway can't support the aircraft... I believe the US wil be using the C 17
C-17 can always land in Lagos or Abuja. It's not the first time C-17 has landed in Nigeria. It is fraud. Do you people even understand the operations of the Tucano .even kainji is not a suitable base for it.They self-service to use kainji for training . The tucano has an operation al radius of 500km + .while the distance from kainji to sambisa is around 1000km + .They would need to move the plans to another location around adamawa ,taraba or borno for effective use. Let's just stop decieving our selves. The kainji base is already being upgraded and paid for by the US Air force check link or Google.

Tucano and F-16 are designed for different use and applications, we don't need F-16 for what we need the Tucano to do appropriately and efficiency.

The Tucano can can decimate BH Terrorists in Sambisa or elsewhere better than F-16 and the Tucano is designed to load and deploy all the weaponry, munitions from laser guided to radar and avionics.

F-16 can not do reconnaissance and surveillance, it can not loiter over targets and decimate the target with powerful .50 calibre cannons or consistently drop laser guided rockets to demolish multiple moving targets which the Tucano can do efficiently, F-16 is a fighter jet, it fights other jets and drop bombs, so, are we doing jet to jet fighting with BH?

The Tucano can load and deploy the most advanced bombs in the world like the paveway II which we are getting as part of our Tucano package.

Expand your knowledge about military
the issue is the seemly fraud they are planning to perpetuate. The existing runway at kainji is ok for the tucano. The alpha and former mig planes using kainji base require landing and take off requirement exceed that of tucano .Do you even know that the said kainji base is already been upgraded by the US government based on the tucano purchase agreement signed?
With additional infrastructure such as weapon storage, 12km fence, apron etc being constructed presently.
The super tucano can take off on unpaved and rugged road. It's take off and landing requirement are shorter than the alpha J17 jets currently in use
Stat:
Alpha :Take-off run: 410 m (1,345 ft)
Landing run: 610 m (2,001 ft)

Super tucano:Take Off Distance:
350 metre - 1,148.28 feet
Landing Distance:
550 metre - 1,804.44 feet
Niaja and padding.
Proof that necessary facilities are being constructed and paid for by US Air force

it's a big lie. They know what they are doing. How can you say ordinary tucano can not use the same runway used by alpha jets and mig 21 . These plane have more weight and need longer runway than tucano. These is fraud

Blame Ambode for the delay.... Jakande proposed it in the 80s and Buhari / Idiagbon shut it down during the 80s recession

Fashola started it with hopes of Ambode completing it, however Ambode refused tourching it just to spite Fashola, but right now Sanwo Olu is about to finish it
Ambode had is reasons. especially has regards the actual amount being borrowed and the real % injected into the project from the total sum borrowed. Ambode deliberately abstained from the project. He was the brain behind it's financial. He knows bulk of funds gotten were never actually used for what it was meant for. Likewise the ilubirn.Using govt money to benefit private ppckets

Passengers in an Abuja-kaduna bound train lamented after their train broke down on the middle of nowhere for over 2 hours without any help coming from Railway cooperation.

The visibly distraught passengers had no option than to disembark from their coaches, wilt some sitting down on the rail tracks as they patiently wait for technicians to come fix the train.

did you listen to what transpired between the nurtw members when they went to makinde police station?. One was trying to sell the narrative of it being igbos, immediately he he was cut off,and told specifically that it was not them. They know who lead most of this.
The fact remains that angry, social miscreants, youths did this. Some out of anger towards the society.
You must always have this at the back of your mind that many are presently benefitting from the rift between yoruba's and igbos on both sides believing that is the only way they can be relevant to their people and indirectly to their known and unknown masters

I won't doubt your opinion, Greek City states are a country today, are you comparing ancient greek with modern greek then you will equate Rome to Italy. We are already in Nigeria we get that fact, that's enough, we can work together that's another fact but my dear we are different people driven by different passion, lets stop preaching this unity, if Zik could not work with Awo, Yes, I get Ironsi was killed alongside a Yoruba man but just like personal friendship you said, Yorubas are not our enemy get it, but we need to respect that we are different people, unity does not always mean that we must walk the same part at all time, unity means we let one another progress in peace. We are not enemy with the Yorubas but we are different, Igbos will never attack Yorubas unprovoked and I believe Yorubas will never Attack Igbos unprovoked but Igbos will never join Yorubas to fight Yorubas personal enemies and I believe they should replicate same on Igbos, we Igbos are not going to fight the Nigeria government again and I believe we can fight any other tribe and any other fight without needing to align with the Yorubas and same is applicable to the Yorubas, we are different but above that we are both individually powerful all we need is to stay out of each others ways and I can assure you we are both capable of defeating any enemy as far as no side joins the enemy
I agree to some extent, however I still disagree. The next onslaught political, economically, sociological on us will be a thing no single yoruba or igbo or middle beltan will be able to overcome.Study the times you live in.Have you watched the Movie The 300,part 1&2. Let tell you having studied the political situation of Nigeria over the years it a wishful thinking. The steps you have stated will not work. And I have alot of verifiable reasons for these.
I have the opportunity of going around 30+ states of the country .I have studied people culture and practices. To say that you got an Igbo friend of 35 years shows that you are at least 40 years, now let me make it clear, Igbos and Yorubas are very different people, generally, myself, my best teacher ever is a Yoruba man by name Ade Sekoni, my best female teacher ever that calls me son up till today a yoruba lady Babafemi Oluwa Toyen, now back to the situation, Igbos are Yorubas are like the Greek city state of Athens and Spartans different people with different interest, although Anthens and Spartans where able to unite during Alexander the great time then the Greek empire grew but you need to understand that both Anthens and Spartans are both Greeks, The Igbos and Yorubas only met about 300 years ago, humanity for an individual is just about 100 years experience in life at most but statehood and tribes may go on for thousands of years, Igbos and Yorubas had found themselves in a political reality of Nigeria that is quite peculiar, it would be hard to clear our differences because there are other tribes closer to the Igbos and there are other tribes available for the Yorubas, that's called alternative in economics, and with availability of alternative, the choices and betrayal is inevitable, that's why there will always be mistrust especially when this two tribe have to compete for everything
you are just 5 percent correct. That same spatar and anthems today are still in the same greece.yes the political reality called Nigeria we are living today is not how we all would love it to be. How have we treated our selves is the issue.both side have not fared better.rome was not built in a day .if the political class would emulate and appreciate each tribes unique trait and work into putting it into a master plan it would change alot .Remember comparative advantage in economics.if this principle is properly applied the sky would not even bee the limit. The possibilities will be endless. We can have healthy competition amongst us.even amongst siblings it's allowed as long it's for the common good. The west wants to go to space and it's capable of building its own spaceship but lacks expertise in engines which is the strength of the east .they can work together.I have you ever imagine when we player as a country at the world cup and win a match ,there is no igbo or yoruba or huasa? Yes, they are doing that because they have allowed fulani to criminally convince them Igbo is their enemy.

Same influence that convinced Wike Igbo is his enemy and he went after us.

Fulani want to separate Yoruba and Igbo so they can have opportunity to deal with each of us as individual and separate ethnic group to their own advantage.

Let me ask you a question. As advanced Yoruba race is, is thereno Yoruba son that can build a refinery in Yorubaland? The govt of Lagos State seized land from owners in Lekki, even arrested and put their own indigenes in prison for refusing to vacate the land, and then gave to fulani to erect a refinery.

Is there oil in arewa? If dangote want build refinery are there no lands in arewa to build refinery? Kaduna refinery was built in arewa. What stopped him from acquiring land in arewa for his oil business ?

He has occupied cement factory in Ogun state. Are there no Yoruba sons good to own cement factory in their own soil?

He has taken over flour mill in Apapa in Lagos. Yoruba pikin no dey to own flour mill?

Tell me how many Yoruba son own plant of any kind in arewa? There is none.

All Yoruba in arewa are just traders. Others are professionals like lawyers, doctors and so on.

Name one bridge or infrastructure built in arewa that was contracted to yorubaman. None.

So fulani has cheated Yoruba. They succeed because they shift Yoruba attention away from these things and make Igbo their issue. They are preoccupied with Igbo while one by one fulani is doing multi billion contract in their land and making them confiscate land from their people to dash fulani for expansion.

Can you imagine what it means to own coastal property? Dangote own a stretch of Lagos coast. If any Yoruba wishes to use that part gifted to Dangote he must first pay the fulaniman. Dangote and Rabiu of BUA, they own most of Apapa mills. Who got contract to rebuild Apapa-Oshodi expressway? Na Dangote. Abi yoruba people think say na free? If state no pay am federal govt must pay am. Ypruba pikin no fit do infratsructure in arewa but here is fulani winning contract in Yorubaland. These things no bother them because fulani say so. Fulani make dem believe Igbo is cheating them and want to take their land. Do you see Igbo building expressway or bridge in Lagos?
Ypruba people and yorubaland is at disadvantage.

Fvck!
Alex make you open your eye well well and stop reacting to Yoruba. Let them say whatever they want, its not them....its the effect of fulani jerking their emotions and building distance and enmity in South.

Wike does not want Ipob in Rivers but dem no born am well to say the same of fulani herdsmen. A cult alre add y labeled as terrorists at international level. Wike meets with miyettiallah if they ask for his attention but if Ohanaeze call the id10t he has mind to say he is not Igbo.

Open ya eye bro.
Guys you all seem not to be getting it.this what they want and you all are playing into it .it's a circle .they jam your heads knowing fully that your emotions will run high .they would come and act as yoruba's to stir up the igbos and also do the same as igbos against yoruba. The issue is who wins?
Let pause a bit on Nairaland for a week , I mean for one good week.we talk about uniting in togetherness .yoruba and igbo.i tell you the true nature will be seen bare.
There are forces working seriously for these.scheming every for the south not to be united. As long as it continues.we are failures with all our exposure and knowledge

Restructuring Nigeria is only possible if the igbos and yoruba's choose to jettison past animosities and work towards the greater good of the country called Nigeria.lets share our trust issues here and how we can collectively and constructively sort things out.
Please we are not here to abuse or bring up issues that would help in creating further divisions.
We should stand on forgiveness ,love and the possibilities of working together to achieve our goals.
The least of which should be how to return back to the way Nigeria was structured at independence for a start. We must ensure that we achieve this with the mind of oneness. I love Nigeria.I have been to many parts both north and south. Nigeria is a blessed country. What is Needed is fairness and justice. Which I believe can be gotten with the yoruba's and igbos jointly and in oneness spearheading it in unison. Divide and rule must not be allowed in our mist.

over time I have come to understand the Major problem of why we would definitely remaining like this. Why the downward spiral into poverty , economic degradation and political suicide will continue .The problem is simply The yoruba's and Ibo's.
They are both the true definition of big for nothing. Collectively they can stand their ground along with other minorities and get what truly belongs to them in this present setup called Nigeria. Collectively they open they pandora box to many possibilities .Instead we keep coming up every day trying to rewrite history that can't not help both parties. What awo did to zik or what zik did to awo.the issue is what can we do collectively presently to better our lot. The funny and sad thing is you will a some guys I'm oshogbo or in orlu ,who have never seen each other talking how the igbos are causing trouble like wise the yoruba saying their own.
We need to collectively stand our ground if we are serious about wanting a better life for our future generations.
The south must stand on total restructuring. All elective position must be sort on the basis of restructuring. We must be ready to forgive and move forward otherwise we would keep ranting on nairaland till they finally shove the type of Nigeria they are scheming for in our ass.
I would want us to sit down and ask ourselves how your fellow neighbor has been your issue. I will try and setup a tread for like minds where we can share our possibilities of a restructured Nigeria with the igbos and yoruba's taking the lead in uniting others.#RestructureNaija

kahal29:
Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister of aviation has warned the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over the planned defection of Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

There are reports that Umahi is planning to dump the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the ruling party.

Fani-Kayode, reacting, said he is yet to confirm the news but described Umahi’s rumoured defection to APC as troubling.

According to him, other governors may join Umahi to defect to the APC which will affect the party’s chances of winning the 2023 presidential election.

The PDP Chieftain on his Twitter page wrote: “The rumour that my friend and brother Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi state is planning to leave @OfficialPDPNig and join @OfficialAPCNg is troubling.

“I am yet to confirm if it is true and I will see him in the next few days to know the true position of things but if it is then I urge the leadership of the PDP to do all they can to ensure that he stays. Not only is he a profoundly good man and an excellent Governor but his contributions to the success of the PDP over the last 20 years at various levels is immeasurable and simply extraordinary.

“ Apart from that he happens to be a good friend of mine and someone I hold in high esteem, immense respect and affection for. Unlike many he is forthright and his word is his bond. He is either with you or against you, he is fearless, bold and has the courage of his convictions.”

Fani-Kayode further called on the National Chairman of PDP, Uche Secondus to do everything within his power to persuade Umahi to stay at the party.

“What makes the matter worse is that other Governors may also contemplate leaving if he does because he has a lot of friends and goodwill amongst them.

“If that happens it will affect our party’s chances in the 2023 presidential election in a very significant way.

“Again I call on the National Chairman and the NWC of our great party to do all they can to keep Umahi on board.

“He is one of our brightest and best and losing him to the APC would be a monumental error and great tragedy,” he stated.

Fani-Kayode added that the PDP needs Umahi as he is a great asset to the opposition party.

“ The fact of the matter is that we need him just as we need everyone else and petty divisions and internal wranglings at this crucial time do not help us.

“Umahi is a great asset to the party and a source of strength and inspiration to the rank -‘d file right across the country,” his tweet added.

Who sabi Ikwerre? how many exploits have they done to bring pride to the Great Igbo nation apart from cultism and drinking tombo. Name 5 internationally acclaimed Ikwerre person of repute in a field?
They should be begging to identify as Igbos not the other way round. Study them properly, they have nothing to offer the Igbo nation apart from creating confusion everywhere.

Ikwerre are not Igbo, they are the descendants of Iwhuruosa a Bini slave who escaped his captors via the tributaries of River Niger and landed in ancient Igboland. They later would modify the name to 'Iwhuruoha' as the Igbos they met would pronounce the name of their progenitor. Later they would became Ikwerre and I will tell you how.

In Igbo the word Ikwerre means 'I agree', the Igbo gave them that name because when they were looking for land to settle after escape from Bini, anywhere the Igbo gave them to settle, they thank their Igbo hosts by saying 'Ikwerre', a corruption of the phrase the phrase 'Ayi kwere' which means 'We agree/accept'.

That's the true hidden story of how Ndi Ikwerre came to be where they are today. Go and ask any honest old man around Imo/river axis. I'm from that area myself.

Ndi Ikwerre abughi Ndigbo, ha biara-abia. They are not Igbos, they are escapee slaves from ancient Bini kingdom. They are just not keen in making their Bini heritage public because it undermines them as descendants of Bini slaves.
now you agree they are from bini.hmmmm
