vestyne: There is no part of that express road that looks like this. GEJ's administration started reconstruction of the road, though work seems to have stopped. The road as of today does not have any un-tarred section as in the falsely named pictures. The reporters just needed to get the president to pay attention to the road. yes gej started it but the cost was over bloated.this was part of the political patronage given to the late ooni through his company.Mind you this was the same company/that/over time stop adhering to standard. I hope the would repent.Guy there is a difference between an un-tarred road but motorable and tarred but in motorable.many sections of the road a not good. The key sections that constitute the grid lock are between the lagos-sagamu axis .that's is 1 berger junction 2. Mountain of fire 3. Mowe junction 4. Ibafo 5 depperlife turning 6. Redeem church.. I would prefer they leave work and move over to this spot .they should provide a fix in the area of pedestrian bridges and road expansions couple with rehabilitation works. This will bring about an immediate impact on the travelling experience of daily commuters |

Moneyyy: And yet there is a government in that zoo? Click like if you support Nigeria and share if you support Biafra All of you that really knows nothing about the road should shut up.I was on this road on Thursday.I spent 3 hrs in the traffic.the issues was simply due to a wheat trailer that fell. This caused a grid lock because the spot it chooses to fall was a narrow part on the lagos-ibadan axis.this reduces the numbers of vehicles to one while the other would have to pass through the side of the road.Mind you this was during the rush hours of 3-4 when e eryboady is of the mind they need to rush home before others. Our problem is always our plan execution. They two major contractors should be mandated to first identify the major problematic sections along the roads.this from my experience are.1 berger bustop. A pedestrian brigade is needed.2. Mountain of fire University axis .This spot when it rains is a major bottle neck ,this potion can only allow for one vehicle at a time.3. Turning point before Deeper life.that section is bad,4. Mowe and ibafo.the trailers should be cleared.Indiscriminate parkings by commercial buses should be discouraged and enforced with stiff penalties. pedestrian bridges are needed there.5. Ogre Axis.the trailers on this part of the road needs to be cleared.the funny things is that you have a functional FRSC office at this junction. The officials will leave unworthy vehicles and trailers along the road.they will start going after new and expensive cars or Tokunbo. The contracts if they were to operate in climes with proper work and plan procedures would first fixed this points before embarking on any rehabilitations or reconstruction. We always do things the wrong way this portions have always being the problem and are still the problem on this axis. The issue of trailers and their indiscriminate use of the road and parkings need to be looked into.More private Trailer parking centers should be created along this axis.this will generate more revenue for govt.Private investors should be brought in.Govt should discourage the building of settlements by the trailer drivers along the roadside this in very dangerous. Some times you will see this tankers turning right on the express or just parking abruptly. |

It's obvious their delusional 'looted trillions' story is in the realm of sophisticated hallucination.
Sharing just $390b as September revenue, with all the fabled 'blockage of leakages' is a sign that things are really getting out of hands.
And then resorting to desperate measures like slamming a whooping $5.2b fine on MTN will only expose Nigeria to vicious attacks from the international business community.
Given that this president is not known to have engaged in any major commercial activity in his entire life, apart from perhaps selling Suya and Fura de Nunu in Daura; not known to have any serious international political, economic, and diplomatic contacts/friends/influence beyond some retired/ancient military co-trainee; and lacking the requisite skill and sophistication to assemble the very best economic team beyond some known average-performed-media-packaged ex-governors and court jesters; navigating through the complex modern economic ecosystem will be a serious challenge.

Opinedecandid: Okay.
All of you that spewed nonsense against PDP senators in the former thread while applauding Saraki for confirming corrupt Amaechi and insulting Uguru. This is when you will know how your Apc can use and dump one of their own. We shall know who will laugh last, between APC and PDP Senators.
Again, when events which are obviously no co incidents unfold like this: Appeal Court having to adjourn hearing on the CCT against the Senate President only after he has confirmed the nominees of Mr President and other make-believe coincidental body 'ordours' of the present administration, it calls for real thoughtfulness. Can they deny manipulating the Judiciary again? Could the Chief Judge of the nation keep mute, forthwith, an stop crying wolf over Nigerians criticism of the judiciary? Back to the APC administration and her ignorant council of followers, if this interference / dictatorship continues, even the the present economic realities bedevelling the nation, what future do they think Nigeria has.
Let's get something straight, did Apc actually cease power to destroy our democracy, Nigeria and her people?
Yet folks are all over here expressing blind applause, commendation and excitement. They seem to be happy that the executive Arm of the APC administration has the judiciary in its pockets, an are now reaching out to the Legislature to turn it to a complete rubber-stamp.
Don't use anti-corruption mantra on Nigerians any longer, five months gone, we have seen that your anti-graft war is targeted at opposite and only members of APC that the party has displeasure with.
You might have been in a hurry to chant 'change' and 'sai baba', because you were blind-folded. Don't also be in a hurry to chant hurrah on seeing this. It is too early to jubilate. Today it might be Saraki, PDP and other energy of Government's turn, tomorrow it might be yours, your kith or kin. Guy I guess you are IBO. Due to the role he played you guys have come out with all manner of names for him when that did not stand ,all because of your fear of him becoming a minister you started your His corrupt crusader while sensing he will be nominated a minister. All this to stop him.Igbo you are politically naive. You guys need to sit and learn. You don't just go into politics for pulling down people without any constructive strategy. Northern people of Arewa support Boko haram how much more we supporting a lawful agitation by our people to be free, since after the war, Itsekiri were made slaves, marginalized and subjugated and hence Pa Johnson gave us no reason no conviction to abandon our quest for freedom we state as follows.Pa Johnson did not talk in interest of Itsekiri people but on his own suspicious accord. We suffer the same fate as our Igbo speaking Biafrans where few people said to be leaders conspire with power against the wish of the people, they have turned from peoples' leader to political jobbers who fights for their interest than the interest of the people. We the Itsekiri people are marginalized and treated as second class citizens who have not been addressed; we have no future, hope or stake in Nigeria and so discredit and reject the anti-people statement by Pa Johnson.
We are aware of the move by Nigeria to lobby or bribe few people claimed to be leaders in different parts of Biafra land to make statements against Biafra restoration without consulting the people neither a statement that represents the entire wish of the people which we saw in Enugu as well. Its gross dishonour coming from Pa Johnson to our heroe's ideology major general Philip Effiong who where ever he is will be happy we carried on where he stopped and make Biafra of his dream come true, mentioning his name there is dishonor. It is a huge disappointment from Pa Johnson to the people of Itsekiri that when yorubas who have gotten much from Nigeria without being marginalized are clamoring for Oduduwa republic hence Nigeria is a failed states, we the people of Itshekiri that are second class and marginalized are receiving anti-people statement from Pa Johnson. We the people of Itsekiri therefore state categorically that Pa Johnson stands on his own with his Nigerian cohorts hence his statement does not represent the wish and goodwill of Itsekiri people. We call on all Biafrans to be strong as we are solidly behind the quest for our dear country, the people of Itsekiri stand tall to say time has passed when few people for their interest destroyed the future of the people.

cyberdurable: A s the list of ministers-designate nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari became public, the pan-Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has warned that the Igbo would not accept less important political offices under the current dispensation. The Ohanaeze said not only the South-East geo-political zone but also the entire Southern part of the country had been short-changed in terms of appointments initially made by the Buhari administration since its inception. The newly elected President of the Ogun State chapter of the pan-Igbo group, Ichie Iwuoha Uzodinma stated this while speaking with newsmen shortly after his inauguration in Abeokuta, the state capital at a ceremony attended by delegates from the 20 local government areas of the state. Uzodinma noted that the Southern part of Nigeria has been placed at a disadvantaged position with the initial alleged lopsided appointments which favoured only the North.
He, however, warned that the South-East would resist any attempt by the Buhari administration to pacify the Igbos with less important political appointments such as ministers of state.
The Ohanaeze president noted that Buhari as the president of the Nigerian federation should strive to be fair and just with regards to the sharing of politicalappointments to all sections of the country. He said, “From the appointment so far made, I don’t think any Ibo man has benefited from anyone, not even the South generally. The South- South and South-East did not vote for change because they knew that the change would not benefit them. South West voted for change but the type of change being preached in the North is not what the South-West wanted and now the change has come. Eighty percent of the appointment is tilted towards the North. The South for now remains at a disadvantaged position.”
www.sunnewsonline.com/new/ndigbo-wont-accept-less-important-political-appointments-ohanaeze/ This is always the problem with the Igbo. The entire country has 36 states of which your own portion is just 5 so you are entitled to just 5 ministerial appointment. What is the problem of this people. Your attachment by force is legendary. When they want something they are unable to get that is when you guys start mentioning south west.Do they remember SouthWest when Jonathan was busy giving them all positions.Mind you The north have many Minorities too and the North is 3 parts .Your mentality is that the north should be treated as one instead of 3 while the southeast should be treated independently. The south is 3 while the north is 3.The south west is not complaining.Your complaint is base on the usual greed you guys are known for. |

TonyeBarcanista: The verdict of the Rivers state election petition tribunal that nullified the April 11 Electoral victory of PDP and Governor Nyesome Wike and ordered for a rerun should not in any way cause sadness in the camp of the good people of Rivers state and members of the PDP.
Though unfortunate and unexpected, the forthcoming re-run election presents another opportunity for Rivers people to tell APC and their praise-singers that the PDP is the only political party known in Rivers state. The PDP has also been presented a golden opportunity to reaffirm that Rivers state is the party's undisputed Political Capital of Southern Nigeria.
Rivers state shall remind the APC with our votes that we believe in the leadership of Nyesome Wike and the PDP. The APC shall be told once again that Rivers people will never vote for a party that shut down our judiciary and our State House of Assembly for over TWO years under the inglorious and painful administration of Rotimi Amaechi. APC will understand through the thumb-print of Rivers people that Riverians will not be cowed to submit to a party that uphold the 97% and 5% principles. APC will learn the hard way that Rivers state is determined to return them to the dust-bin of history.
PDP fans, members and supporters should see the gain in all these and start mobilising for 100% Wike's victory at the rerun poll. Of a truth, the re-run will once again shut the mouth of APC propagandists in Aso rock, Daura and Bourdillon.
Finally, I want to advice APC and Dakuku Peterside to stop wasting their looted funds on a goose chase. They should be more concerned with the present power they hold in Aso Rock because we are coming to reclaim it through the votes of patriotic Nigerians in 2019. Rivers is PDP and PDP is Rivers. God Sparing our lives, we shall meet at the poll.
God Bless PDP!! No Vacancy In The Brick House!!! God Bless Nigeria!!! Over the years one problem I have always notice about your positions on truth and political reality is you always choose to support wrong while portraying it in the right. You never spoke out when people got killed. When will you learn to ask for godly directions. You have been quick to castigate members of APC as looters, whereas you have never done thatwith your party despite the facts are obvious, even a child can arguably tell.Your condition is beyond remedy.
