How many people would become entrepreneurs? And is such a thing healthy for the economy?

Sometimes, obviously due to the malign milieu of the country, some of you forget the main duty of a Government. What is "the citizens shouldn't be reliant on the government for jobs"? That's a very careless statement. Why else do we have a government if it's not to provide for the citizen? An alarming 47% of graduates are unemployed and you're saying people should not depend on the government for jobs?

The government has failed, in all honesty. Look at European countries, and see how much the government provides job for people.

All this campaign about Entrepreneurship to me is rather useless. Let the government rather create more job opportunities. Real jobs, not N-Power nonsense. If everyone becomes an entrepreneur, who gains? And what kind of entrepreneur? Shoe making? Tailoring? That is what you need in 2019? Do you think the government can empower people in ICT, Robotics, and other relevant fields that dictate the future? A government that cant provide jobs.

We should stop giving the government a passmark, or forgiving their excesses. That's why people come out en masse to thank a Governor or senator for tarring 1km of road, or for erecting water tanks with no alternate source of power to pump water. That's why people sing praises when 1 block of classroom is constructed. Because, like you, they don't expect anything from government.
The government owes you a lot. Until we develop that mentality, things would not change. It's not welfare mentality, it's simply democracy.

You said it all. How many companies are in our country. Thank God for the reform in the banking sector if not unemployment would have be doubled. Just imagine that ajaokuta steel company is functioning, we have like 5 automobile companies, 1 aeroplane and ship manufacturing company and able to to access loan for business. etc do you no the kind of job creation that we would have but direct and indirect.

The truth is our government are the problem they are dream killer,. No matter how you think positively and ambitious to believe in Nigeria and make it they end up killing that dream.

I use myself as a case study. Had a little business I was into, as at 2014 it was going fine. Was a distributor of one Maggi company, the business what moving smoothly. The company supplies the product to me on credit, I sell and pay them due to the fast payment they increased my supply, business was moving smoothly. My plans was in the next 3 years would have raised my own capital, to further invest in other business.

Not until 2015/16, due to the increase in dollars price of goods sky-rocket, people could not afford to buy the goods again. The company could not afford to sell on credit because dollar was not stable. Within a twinkle of an eye my business crashed.

Government have alot of role to play. I am not saying they should employ move civil servant or increase people on npower pay roll No. They should just creat good policies, make loan accessible. Then watch how Nigeria economy will boom within next 10years.

Government policy is everything, no nation can survive without good policy and stable policy.

Do u have any idea what it means to be poor in Nigeria. Its almost as worst as death. Even the rich in Nigeria are suffering not to talk of being poor. Buhari as a president is suffering. Imagine traveling to the uk everytime hes sick then what hope does the poor have. U can't sit at the comfort of ur home n say its ok to be poor in a country like nigeria.

They don't they classify been poor as been lazy. And they feel the government owe us nothing. Blame the youth of been lazy and wanting quick money without asking where those youth got the idealogy and mentorship from. You see our senetor buying cars what billions where do they get the money from. I guess from there hard work of making Nigeria better place like America. They send there kids outside the country. Oooo the sent them there to acquire more knowledge to come help loot Nigeria oo sorry boost Nigeria's economy when they come back and get placed on different juicy jobs like nnpc, CBN. Etc.

Most of our politicians went to school on scholarships they had free education. As at 1970s they got jobs with there secondary school leaving certificate. They enjoyed and benefited from Nigeria when they where youth. What are are the youth benefits now 30k npower, political thuggery, scam etc the youth are left in between the devil and the deep blue sea

Desiring more means you work for it. When you earn more, that more becomes your means and you should live within it while aspiring for more.

Not living within your means is when you have an inflow of 100 and an outflow of 10,000. Definitely, there is an imbalance that leads to a lot of thing like loans. Now if you earn 100 and borrow 150, it isn't bad. Or you borrow 1000 to invest, it is wise or but you earn 100 and borrow to balance your outflow of 10,000, you are flawed.

Same for trying to cut corners in a bid to live waaaaay put of what you can afford.

Imagine earning 50k monthly and renting an apartment that cost 400k annually. That is recipe for headache

Living within your means like you said. I guess you are outside the country (Europe, North America, Australia) so you are writing this based on the economy there. But if my guess is wrong them my dear you might be ignorant, or you just want to lie to yourself.

Please help me answer this question, that is if your illustration was based on how Nigeria economy is.

1. Minimum wage was 18000naira as at 2013. Then dollar was 165.fast forward to the present day, minimum wage 30,000naira (still pending). Present dollar rate is 360. Let's do the maths.

As at 2013 M.W = 18000 /165 = 109.09usd.

Present day M.W =36000/360 = 100usd (pending)

Present day M.W= 18000/360=50usd. (standing M.W as for now).

So please explain to me how a man collecting such amount with a kid and his wife will be able to use that your illustration and advice of living within your means. My dear explain because you may be able to change life's open our eye's to what you see that we don't see and save someone's life thank you

First of all it's about choice, and everyone should respect if she says yes or no.

The primary thing a lady should check is if the guy has future, goals and ambitious. hard working and have a plan even when the money is yet to come.then other things that makes you love him.

This is the kind of guy a lady should be inspired to have, if the guy is rich it's a win win. If he is still building his life my dear join him and build it together.

What ladies should know a guy can be rich today and poor tomorrow and poor today and rich tomorrow. What makes a man is the ability to focus, have a plan and pursue his goals either rich or poor guy this is what you should look for in any guy. Same goes for guys looking for a lady.

Ones a lady have that same chemistry, ideology with the guy my dear they would move mountains. Been rich or poor is of mind set not necessarily physical aspect

Why are you people talking so ignorantly like this, since the concept of this crisis what have miyetti Allah done. Why have they been defending them why not condemn what is happening and task all the herdsmen to try fish out the bad eggs so there names will be vindicated.

What effort have they made to tackle the matter. When you see that almost every one is pointing hands at you, you try to exonerate yourself. Since they keep defending everything happening we continue to take them as prime suspect.

Recently I read online that one of the member of miyetti Allah helping the police in finding the perpetrators was shot dead. If they have been contributing like this to help tackle this issues the killings won't have gotten up to this extent.

Was waiting for bus at the bus at about 7.30pm. so tired and stressed out. Was having serious headache, my head was seriously pounding, it was like umunna where having party inside my head.
Suddenly I saw a man rushed out of his car, he ran straight to the driver in the other vehicle (commercial bus), the man went straight drivers bus and collected his keys, "you must repair my car!!, you must repair my car!!, have been waiting Hot for more than 30mins for you to make way for me you turned deaf ears, now you have hit my car."
People gathered and started to plead on behalf of the driver, the driver too was pleading, the man insist "I no go gree make una know beg me, I go show you, you don't know who I am, I work at the local government......."
Immediately he mentioned local before the government self, me don know say this driver don enter. Those people (local government) they are in the top 10 of the most wicked people you can ever meet or have problem with, dem no they gree.
Several minutes passed this man was still chanting you must repair my car. The people around said OK how much he said 5k. After all the drama they settled for 3k.
The man took the money, entered his car people around where raining curses on him. The man know send anybody e don make 3k sharp sharp.
As the man was about to reverse his car. BEHOLD the man hit the bus at the back of his car, con see people jump out, God don catch you. you go hear am today. I could see confusion on the man's face, but the man was just lucky that the commercial bus didn't notice, the driver was busy looking for passengers.
After the whole drama, I came to my senses that I was still at the bustop, the weather was changing it was about to rain.
Sometimes we are the cause of our own problem, it's not like i didn't see bus to enter oo, I got to the bustop and I just decided I want to stay at the front sit. Even if na 12.am I reach house na front sit I go stay. Na waiting really hold me back.
So my dear brethren, I Started my hustle for front sit again. From no where I had someone saying "oh you are flaunting your car keys (Toyota) look at you.
" you have car and you are here rushing for bus" this man was just taunting this guy, oh God some people carry automatic riffle for mouth, if you see the fine bobo way them the insult you go pity am. If it was me I will beg the Earth to open and swallow me,
The guy was just mute, I don't know if he was on shock mode. wo me leave them there continue they hustle for front sit.
After awhile i saw crowd , I was like what's happening again too my greatest surprise it was the guy. The one with car-less Toyota key trying to fight the guy that insulted him. People where calming him down. Then someone from nowhere said "na because of woman them the fight"
Ah men, I felt disappointed I felt like slapping the two of them. Since I was at the place I decided I must know what truly transpired.
So I came close to a guy to try grab what he was telling the other person behind ,as per news reporter. The guy said the car-less key Toyota guy was trying to toast a lady at the bustop, you know now, guys things. as rain they fall now, guys need commodity. In the process of the toasting the guy was flaunting the keys,now, so the girl would be aware that he owns a car.asin big boy.
Unknowingly the girl bobo dey around the corner, as bobo they see waiting they sup now, na him bobo rush come meet the guy, "so you are flaunting your car keys abi you want her to see it's Toyota abi. You carry car key you the rush for bus. Where the car dey ewu (goat) "that was what transpired na why them wan fight.
I finally got a bus front sit ooo. It wasn't easy but I got it. On the way home, there is a particular side of the road that has little hill on getting there, came across 3 people they should be weighing between 55 - 75kg. trying to push a diana bus (this buses that block industries do use to carry blocks) as they were pushing one said "driver abi you know comot this thing for gear" driver gently replied. "I comot am now I comot am" another guy said "why e no con gree move na" I couldn't stop laughing, how will 3 people less than 100kg push a vehicle like dina on a hill, it was hilarious, people inside the bus were not left out.
Truly naija every body na comedian, just decided to share this event, I am beginning to think na one of God apprentice na him create naija people

I feel no pity for the North again, how would we (south) continue to drink paracetamol for northerners headache.

Money been spent for this war is from the south, some of the army fighting the boko harm are from the south. The south are the one's calling on government to do more on the inssue of boko haram. I respect your opinion, but don't just conclude she doesn't care about him I have been in this situation. Some girls don't know the gravity. She might just take it like it's nothing.

First of all, the relationship do you really want something serious like taking it to next level. If no. Then leave her and move on. But if yes, this is what i advice.

1.watch her very well she is ignorant, sometimes ladies don't take somethings serious. Sit her down and talk to her make her know she needs to be careful.

2. You should try and lay low no too much public hang out or allowing people know you guys are dating.

3.The problem is trying to make the girl understand and to also be sure if she too want something serious out of the relationship. If she just want to have fun my dear, leave her your life is precious but if she too want more. You guys need to use wisdom. I won't advise you to leave someone you love, this is what makes you a man you need wisdom to follow this kind of situation.

Be cautious, be careful most of all observe your girl to know if she is just ignorant or just love the attention she is getting and want to rock her life.

What stops the federal government from banning opening grazing, why not give a degree if you want to rear cow you should establish a ranch or rent one, give them grace of a 6 month or a year if you can't you leave the business. Federal government can assist with loan to make it easy.

I don't just understand, is the government afraid of this people, look like we are begging them. Even in North federal government don't have the right to take Nigerians tax payers money to enrich one tribe. Foreign for that matter.

It's time we open our eyes we shouldn't even allow it in the north it should not be approved at all because if they start this Ruga more fulani will migrat to Nigeria and the will have time to settle and plan to invade the southern part.

If you want to rear cows seek loan for capital buy or rent land and build your ranch. Period.

My dear if you are financially OK you make like 3 to 5m annually you can go ahead with the marriage. You do ivf give birth to twin and enjoy you sweet marriage but if you not capable please quit because the marriage will be doom.
