Romance › Re: Dating A Girl In Her Early 20's. Experienced And Mature Response Needed. by chronique(m): 9:42pm On Jul 04, 2017
josju:
Good day all, I really want your sincere views or experience on the issue of dating a lady in her early 20's. I met a girl aged 20 has finished OND and just going for internship two months back and she seems to be the right person for me, her maturity, concerns and love shown have been commendable. Am 28 and would love to have her as a wife but my fear is if she wouldn't change from this good, homely responsible girl as she grows older.
I on my part will never cheat on her as I strongly uphold the one boy one girl relationship.
Question now is has anyone experienced or seen people that dated a girl of that age and age difference that work out well?
To mature older ladies how many of you are still with the lover you met at your early 20's?
From age 20 can a lady really be sure of what she wants in a lover and stick with a loving, faithful and caring partner without the urge to explore at some point in time?
Your mature and sincere response would be appreciated.
Well, human beings are different but most girls that age, are interested in exploring, and really don't know what they want. Most of them are "everybody's toy". Just observe her very much but if you have an option of dating someone much older, I'd ask that you go with the older one.

Can't believe Lagos is this backward and primitive. This action is a grevious crime on its own and the culprits should be severely death with. If this thing continues like this, a lot of people would be killed innocently in the process.

I have never cheated on anyone I dated cos I've always been a principled person who treats people the way he wants to be treated. That's why I can't stand cheating and infidelity one bit. Besides, I'm too engrossed in finding ways to be successful, to start chasing skirts up and down. I'm not a useless person.

Most men do not know the benefits of PEACE OF MIND until they marry a foolish woman.

I am not here to judge human feelings but people keep claiming to be in love using the word LOVE in a wrong context.

When you see a cool headed nigga, you say he is boring but prefer a cheat who shoots your adrenaline at sight.

Ok, you dey office dey imagine your wife jumping beds. You no wan live long ?
I tire o. Nothing can mess my mind up as much as thinking someone is cheating on me.

Go ahead with your wedding. None of us here in Nairaland will live with you in your house. Plus I believe she won't continue to cheat on you now that she is found out. But ask her why she was doing it.

I had a friend who did exactly the same. She was busted by her fiance 3 weeks to the wedding. He still married her and they are one of the best couple I know about.

And for those quoting me, I have discovered that 90% of engaged couples cheat even up to 24 hours to their wedding. It's just a pity this one was caught.
Chai! I give up!

Reason why surrogacy will be the next big thing.

One cannot go & be having another man's kid as firstborn kid. As many firstborn kids are.

My dear, a disease caught from other philandering men before marriage, will the disease disappear from the woman's body the minute she gets married? shocked shocked shocked shocked

We all know that lots of married women now have multiple lovers too. And most just resumed their premarital lifestyle for several reasons: frequently travelling hubby, poverty, greed, better sex, etc.

Thank God that as a woman, you have admitted what we all already knew. That most women, whether just a gf or fiancee of someone, now have multiple concurrent sexual relationships. At least no more hypocrisy alleging that men to be more promiscuous.
I'm just beginning to rethink my thoughts of getting into a relationship for marriage cos the opinion most ladies on Nairaland try to sell to us, is that virtually almost every girl out there is a hoe, a cheat, and what have you, since they claim almost every lady out there, does the same thing.

Na wa o!

Life is funny sha. You are all asking him to leave her and run. Am sure if the reverse was the case, the responses wld be different. Instead you ll see comments like:

"men are like that, you must be doing something wrong." "Oh its hard for a man not to succumb to temptation"
"You dont appear sexy enough, thats why your man is cheating on you"

Rubbish!
Oga pls tell me if you have been faithful in all the six years you guys dated.
Oh you are afraid she might eventually become a cheating wife? Are you clean yourself?
And to think all the responses are coming from useless men who disrespect and cheat on thier wives at home.

You dont know if you ll continue to love her afterwards but you would have expected her to forgive you and continue to love you if it happened to be you abi?

Am not justifying her actions but you men (you cheats) should just stop talking rubbish and making it seem so big an offence cos u also do the same. Mtcheeew!
If you don't have any reasonable thing to say, just shut up your dirty stinking mouth there. Who are you to generalize and lump all men together and brand them as cheats? You think it's everybody that reasons with their sexual organs? If you don't see it as a "so big offence", then it's safe to say you're one of those people who go around doing same thing... The fact that most young men and women are morally bankrupt and are now lower than dogs, doesn't mean everyone is.

Wedding preparations already done. Hall booked, cloths bought, both families already preparing, what will people say? How will she move ahead if I leave her?
What kind of stupid question is this? Someone has been cheating on you and is only remorseful cos you caught her, and not cos she wants to genuinely change, and you are talking about what people will say? If my own sister tries that nonsense, I won't feel an iota of sympathy for her if she gets dumped few weeks to her marriage for cheating. I was raised to understand that there is always a consequence for every bad action you take, and I live by that principle. Dump her as fast as you can. It would hurt you but don't feel too bad.

A lot of things do not add up. Let's assume it's due to competition. Does it mean all the marketers are also selling below cost price, since they are trying to tell us that nnpc is selling at a reduced/subsidized price? Or is it that the previous price was arbitrarily increased to maximize profit? Nigeria's problem is tiring.

Judas iscariot was an apostle, called and chosen by Jesus. So is it also right to judge Jesus or all other apostles using Judas as a yardstick. if the devil used Judas who was at the same table with Jesus, ate in the same bowl, then who is dat girl who told u fornication is not a sin that d devil cannot use.
For masturbation, Come up with ur argument, WHY IS MASTURBATION ON ITS OWN A SIN?
The Bible tells us to flee from every appearance of sin, and from all forms of sexual immorality. The Bible talks about us already sinning by lusting after a person. For you to masturbate, you must have had the image of a lady in your mind, and imagined yourself having sex with her.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why I Left Christ Embassy Church by chronique(m): 7:00pm On Jul 02, 2017
Christ embassy is not a church, but a disco/night club for people who want to be Christians but aren't ready to totally leave the sinful world. I don't see pastor Chris as a man of God. Someone who said masturbation wasn't a sin... All the pastors and cell leaders are neck deep in fornication and adultery. Years ago, I met a lady in a bus on my way to Benin for my sister's convocation. She and her friend had struggled among themselves for who would sit beside me. As the journey began, it didn't take long for her to start showing green light. She rested her head on my arms and very close to my chest. Anybody seeing us would have thought we were a couple. We got to ore and I took the initiative from there to chat her up and we exchanged numbers. By the time I left Benin, we spoke and she talked about coming over to see me in Lagos. During our subsequent discussion, I got to know she was a cell leader in school (uniben). We talked about different things and I came to understand that she didn't see anything wrong with fornication. She made me understand that even senior pastors in the church practiced it. The day she came visiting, she didn't spend 5 mins before jumping on my bed that she wants to sleep. The whole thing was like a movie to me. If not for the fact that my dad and I had somewhere to go to, it would have been straight to sex. Now, I'm not trying to sound like a saint but for the fact that she was supposed to be the one preaching against fornication as a cell leader, I expected much more from her. At least, let me be the one gingering her and saying "don't worry, God will forgive us; let's just have it this once"...lol. The whole thing kept me wondering how they can comfortably live in sin and still climb up the altar to preach the gospel without conscience.

My fellow Nairalanders, I have a question.

my question goes thus, is the details of the 2014 CONFAB REPORT by GEJ administration made public?

if yes, please can anyone share it

if No, why wasn't it made public?

Do you think this administration will implement the contents of the CONFAB REPORT?

is the National Assembly the only body that can file for National Restructuring?

Will Nigeria be genuinely restructured?

please am patriotic Nigeria, people are suffering and people are also acting non-challently.

please no insult, your words can either make or Mar this nation.
thank you.

I love peace and unity, but our politicians definition of peace and unity won't bring justice, equity and development to this country.
I don't think the complete details have been made public to Nigerians but there are snippets of it, in the public domain.

This administration won't implement it, considering the fact that they were against it in the first place. Secondly, some of the recommendations made, were antagonized by the delegates from the north and from what we are seeing today, it's obvious to all that it wouldn't be touched.

Unfortunately, the National Assembly is the only arm that can kick start the process of restructuring as restructuring, has a lot to do with constitutional amendment. Restructuring means certain things would have to be expunged from the current constitution, and replaced with new laws and what have you. I don't think Nigeria will be genuinely restructured cos those who are benefiting from the status quo now, wouldn't want things to change, due to personal greed and what they are benefiting as politicians.

Romance › Re: Nigerian Men Need To Understand That Some Women Have Financial Standards. by chronique(m): 7:55pm On Jul 01, 2017
Op was making sense until her last statement and subsequent responses, makes it sound like she's confused. I agree that women have financial standards and I've always advocated that guys should never hate or resent them for being rejected based on that. Rather, it should spur you on, and challenge you as a man to work harder. But whatever it is, when you become very successful, make sure you don't date such a person no matter how much you love her. Reason is, you'd find yourself continually struggling to meet certain standards and it would be difficult to see life and success from other prisms apart from the financial point of view. Not every one finds satisfaction in material things and if you are in such a category, you might start suffering from depression and other stuffs.

I as a person, want to be very wealthy and rich but my desire for such isn't really to live in affluence, but to impact in the lives of others. I would someday, love to become a philanthropist. At the end of the day, my desire to be rich, isn't for myself but for others. I love living life in the simplest of ways, and love to be free. I am the kind of person who can borrow money just to help someone else. A lady who is obsessed with financial standards and all that, might have issues with me when it seems like I have but don't have...

At the end of the day, everyone should be allowed to live life like they want but if you aren't too thrilled with financial or material things, avoid ladies who are too particular about money. Money is good, it gives confidence and makes life easy. But at the end of the day, it isn't really what gives everyone satisfaction. Some people value success by the number of lives they have touched, than the amount of money amassed in their account. So long as I can afford the things that I want and need, I'm OK. Whatever extra I make should be used to touch the lives of others. What's wealth to you when your next door neighbor is hungry and a potential threat to you cos he hasn't eaten? Think, people!
