anyway. . The Deeds of a good governor always shows how useless the last one was. Twart, the article said he promised to pay outstanding pensions Was merely asking if his promise had been fulfilled as the promise date had reached. All these monkeys on NL self |

henry101: By CHIDI NKWOPARA OWERRI—No fewer than 12 pensioners collapsed, yesterday, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Complex, Owerri, Imo State, during a meeting with Governor Rochas Okorocha.
The collapsed pensioners were, however, revived by Red Cross officials and, thereafter, rushed to the hospital for more medical attention.
Pensioners from across the state were at the stadium to collect arrears of unpaid pension.
Special Assistant to the Governor on Print Media, Mr. Ebere Uzoukwa, told Vanguard, in a telephone interview, that “the senior citizens were paid on the spot, while those who could not make it to the stadium were asked to approach the sub-treasuries in their council areas.”
Earlier, Okorocha had told the pensioners that he was unhappy that the unpaid three-month arrears were inherited from the Achike Udenwa’s administration.
He said every July 18 will be celebrated as “Pensioners Day” in the state, promising that all outstanding pensions must be paid by his government. Okorocha donated a bus to the state branch of Nigerian Union of Pensioners, NUP, and a car to the chairman of Imo NUP.

justwise: Some of you who bribed the immigration officers for committing no offence need to get your heads checked, in fact. shame on every one of u who gave those thieves money.
God!!!! what is wrong with us Nigeria? WHY WHY WHY!!!!!? Yes i have witness it in 2000 and i was holding VIRGIN passport, and i REFUSED to give them a penny, they delayed me and my sister inlaw, my sister in law was taken to the toilet to be search and $50 was found on her and they demanded but i insisted that NOTHING gets into they thieving hands.
The public address system were announcing our names as the gate was about to be closed, even at that i stood my ground and they GAVE UP!
Some of us shake like my nanny's teeth rather than stand for what you believe in That's the spirit, when you have not commited an offence, virgin passport or not they have no right to delay you unless they have solid evidence to detain you. Don't let any immigration officer bully you into submission, if they ask you for anything, simply tell them you don't have, zip up and be on your way. |

proudly9ja: Nicklass Bendtner 2007/08 season (age - 19): Played 40 games (23 as sub) scored 9 goals
2008/09 season (age - 20): Played 50 games (23 as sub) scored 15 goals
2009/10 season (age - 21):Played 21 games (10 as sub) scored 12 goals
2010/11 season (age - 22): Played 32 games (18 as sub and many out of position on the wings) scored 9 goals
Only bif I have with him is his big mouth. If he is willing to stay and be our 'stand-by' forward for RVP, Il keep him over Chamakh anytime. I think he doesn't get as much credit as he deserves. Na wahala you wan cause o. Just make sure there's enough security around sha. The only convo that won't cause fight amongst Arsenal FC fans is if Almunia deserves to be sacked or not! Chamakh has 11 goals from 44 appearances and 4 assists, not bad for a newbie, not sure how many of those appearances were subs or starts. With the high demands of the premiership i think he did well and will improve next season now that he knows the system a bit better. I'm tired of Bendtner missing sitters, we could have ousted Barcelona if Bendtner had converted that chance, that's what strikers do, go missing for 40 mins and pop up with a life saving goal, Bendtner doesn't seem to have that in a team that creates chance after chance |

debosky: I'm gonna try to make it too, but it depends on the boss approving.
If we could get a number of NLers we can discuss Chamakh vs Bendtner and other contentious topics face to face. Tbh, in my mind that argument is a done deal, Chamakh all the way, Bendtner has dissapointed everytime i've seen him. Chamakh did okay for his first season, fine he faded in the latter half of the season, but i doubt Bendtner would have scored the same amount of goals if given the same chance. I reckon we cash in on him now, the time for experiments and hoping are over. |

Fabianski upped his numbers from 50s into the 70s in less than half a season. Give the boy his credit. I am with you on Fabianski's improvement, i actually expected some big things from him a few seasons back when he showed some good form pre-season, however the dude has a habit of making expensive/costly mistakes and i think that's what stands out whenever you hear his name. |
